Reviews for Pazo da Trave
Review 1:Wonderful atmospheric room. Very helpful staff. In the country but close enough to everything we wanted to see. Good breakfast and we ate in on one night and everything was excellent.
Review 2:none
Review 3:Great quirky hotel with tons of character and great garden all set in a rural location. The owners could not have been more helpful and provided tons of information on all of the best places to go. Lovely local walks by a river etc. Would not hesitate to use this place again.
Review 4:Not a lot. Wifi was a bit unreliable.
Review 5:A great getaway, house full of character, lovely garden for relaxing in the evening and a great little restaurant serving a limited but quality menu.
Review 6:First night impossible to sleep with open window due to barking neighbours' dog.
Review 7:Beautiful location, excellent old building, relaxing, a very nicewalking path to Viveiro. The couple who runs it is very, very service-minded. We travelled by bus and train and were taken by them to the station - only one example of their hospitality. Several little corners to sit and enjoy the place, indoors as well as outdoors.
Review 8:This hotel is located in a beautiful stone Galician manor house set in lovely countryside just outside town. There are pretty gardens, a friendly staff, and an interesting blend of contemporary and classic art and decor. A tranquil and lovely place to stay. Excellent quality-price ratio.
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:The staff made us really welcome and helped us enjoy the local area. The gardens are lovely and the house is full of stylish furniture and quirky art. The surpise for us was that they did evening meals. We really enjoyed the specials for dinner.Great chef!!
Review 11:No restaurant
Review 12:The gardens were beautiful to wander around and also to picnic. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The house has been well converted with rooms individually decorated with locally painted glass and pottery. When we discovered that the restaurant was not open they offered to phone for a takeaway.

Review 14:Very nice and friendly hosts. The house and the Garden are just great , so are the rooms. Everything is very clean and cosy. Breakfast was faboulus. Would definitely stay there again
Review 15:Only one negative the location was remote so the evening meal had to be ordered in, although Breakfast was provided.
Review 16:Style and location of the accommodation. The staff were excellent. We would stay here again.
Review 17:Restaurant has not yet re-opened since new ownership. Some distance from restaurants. No air conditioning. Mosquitoes in nightime when window open
Review 18:Restoration of the house .The residents lounge and the small traditional conservatory above the entrance are particularly fine. Substantial very pleasant gardens
Review 19:We were charged the full price for breakfast for a 7 and a 3 yr old which was ridiculous as they had one little slice of bread, if they had anything at all. Also we were missing the possibility to have dinner at night at the restaurant.
Review 20:Great atmosphere, very nice park, nice staff
Review 21:Great location, wonderful grounds, beautifully restored - even the intellectual level of the books In the library was high. Staff were both friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Would have liked to have stayed longer.
Review 22:The room was not as nice as shown on the website and does not reflect the beauty of the palacio. New team not yet set up. (Two nights without beer.) There is no dinner offered onsite but can be ordered from outside restaurants. Breakfast is too expensive compared to other places we stayed.
Review 23:The old palace is beautiful as well as the lovely garden with the pool. Good location to explore the north coast of Galicia and Asturias (west) with the best beaches nearby.
Review 24:This hotel is peaceful and tranquil with lovely places to hide out and relax. If you are looking for modern minimalism then you will be disappointed but if you want something traditional with fine details and beautiful furniture then this is definitely a place to stay. Breakfasts were great and our hosts could not have been more welcoming. We have young teenage boys who made the most of the pool table and would have been in the swimming pool too if the weather had been better.
Review 25:Not as advertised. No restaurant or health facilities. Poor internal sound proofing. Allows dogs inside. Run by well meaning and hard working amateurs. Now simply a glorified B&B.
Review 26:Good old building with pleasant gardens.
Review 27:We had two poor nights sleep. One due to a wedding which the managers were very sorry for (and gave us a free beer) but the music did go till 4am. The second was due to a local festival which if we didn't have a young son would have gone to explore so potentially could have been a positive.
Review 28:Excellent staff, lovely gardens to relax in. Stunning building.
Review 29:we had no complaints whatsoever.
Review 30:Breakfast was excellent. Hosts were great, they did more than expected, and gave great advice. House is fantastic, gardens are beautiful. We walked into town along the boardwalk and had great food and drinks in one of the recommended bars. Only stayed one night but it was the highlight of our holiday. Very chilled out place, for a relaxing break.
Review 31:Anything

Review 35:EVERYTHING SURPASSED OUR EXPECTATIONS
Review 36:THE WELCOME WE RECIEVED FROM THE HOSTS WAS EXCELLANT - THE HOTEL WAS STUNNING AND WE WERE MADE TO FEEL VERY WELCOME - GOOD LOCATION, NOT TOO FAR FROM TOWN AND BEAUTIFUL SURROUNDING COUNTRYSIDE

Review 57:We stayed for two nights while touring Galicia. A fabulous hotel in stunning gardens. The owners, Sara and Victor, were so welcoming and helpful, showing us all around the house and grounds and offering loads of information. Their breakfasts were wonderful! Highly recommended.
Review 58:The young couple who run this Hotel could not have been more helpful and fun and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them. It was a shame that they did not do dinner in the evening, but the breakfast was superb. Sara and Victor deserve every success with this venture.
Review 59:Best with own transport.
Review 60:Staff could't have been nicer or more eager to please. Very quiet country setting. Historic building and beautiful grounds.
Review 61:It was a pleasure staying at Pazo da Trave. It is a beautiful building in a wonderful setting, incredibly good value for money and the staff were warm and friendly and could speak a bit of English. The family room was huge with a set of doors seperating the kids bedrooms from the adult beds.
Review 62:The view from south facing rooms is spoilt by two very unattractivebuildings. The first (attic) room booked was utterly unsuitable in everyrespect and although the upgrade we settled for appeared satisfactory(by English standards) we soon learnt that far better rooms were onoffer everywhere else we stayed. It was also the most expensive booking we made and compared to the magnificent Parador we stayed in at Leon, (which was cheaper), this Pazo offered the poorest value for money during our touring holiday.
Review 63:The general location is very good, as is the garden. The breakfastfacilities were excellent.
Review 64:Fantastic old building, lovely helpful staff even after I made error on booking. Wish we could have stayed a week!
