Reviews for Un Coin De Luberon
Review 1:The flat is a really lovely furnished flat, with all the essential and more. The location is just in the core of Isle sur la sorgue, in front of the main Church and on sunday the famous market will reach you just under your window.
Review 2:Check in was a bit confusing as it is an apartment complex so there was no reception. Lots of stairs.
Review 3:Perfect location -right in the center of town. Looked out at the cathedral each morning. Tammara was just the best and went out of her way to make it all perfect for us-thank you Tammara !!
Review 4:Stairs were a bit tough but worth it for the location, wifi was slow but usable, its not a full service hotel but offers good size room and almost full kitchen
Review 5:Location is great, its quiet because its at the back,
Review 6:Unclear check-in arrangement: emailed with location, but on arrival, had to go to nearby Cafe for them to call. Odd noises occurring from nearby flat late at night and early morning, 11pm and 7am. Disrupted sleep.
Review 7:Good location for Avignon etc and Luberon, nice town Central in L'isle, with convenient nearby (less than 5 min walk) free parking Good WiFi connection AC provided Plenty of facilities for self-catering i.e. all cutlery/dishes/, also included some milk/ butter/cereal/rice/coffee/tea Washing machine and laundry powder and airers
Review 8:It is more urban than we expected, including a late night rock concert and some men who made comments to our 14-year-old daughter when we walked by. Not the apartment's fault, but something to be aware of in the neighborhood. Parking can also be a challenge.
Review 9:Lovely apartment, fun town. It is very central so we literally walked out the front door into the city's famous Sunday market. We appreciated the air con and well-being equipped kitchen.
Review 10:Room was wonderfully clean , in a central location. It was roomy and comfortable. A tip if you have heavy bags - there are quite a few stairs. However we are "seniors" and we managed - just.
Review 11:* not necessarily a negative, but wear earplugs on Saturday night… or you'll wake up early to the sounds of the market being set up
Review 12:* center of town * Sunday morning market just outside the door * kind, helpful staff * nice decor * large enough space to spread out and cook meals (but there are excellent restaurants in town!)
Review 13:The location was great! the apartment was extremely charming, clean and perfect for our needs. Check in was easy and the service was friendly. We couldn't have asked for more! :)
Review 14:Nothing.
Review 15:Wonderful place to stay, has everything you need. Private, great location. The market twice a week outside your front door is fantastic. The friendly owners provide all the information you need, and the attention to detail is impressive.
Review 16:This charming and quiet apartment is in an ideal location. Free parking lot is a 2 minute walk away. The twice a week market is at the front door. There are many beautiful villages to visit that make lovely day trips from the apartment. Our hosts were so very helpful and sweet. The bathroom is large with a great short and a washing machine. The kitchen is very well equipped, we had several home cooked meals there all with fresh produce from the market. We would definitely stay here again
Review 17:Some problems with the WiFi connection.
Review 18:Position very central near the main church of isle Sur la sorgue. The accommodation price includes beds and linen, towels and basics ingredients in the kitchen. It doesn't happen very often in France and it is very convenient for short stays. The kitchen is modern and includes a combo oven (microwave and traditional heating). Owners are very kind and always available to help.
Review 19:Too much stairs especially our room is in the top floor.
Review 20:It is right in the town center and the big and free parking lot is within walking distance. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed to cook there. The room is cleaned and comfortable.
Review 21:Shower area very small, and the fact they don't have any English speaking channels on the tv Would like more pillows. And more towels.
Review 22:Position it's right in the centre, but very quiet. We had a little patio area. Nice quality furnishings.
Review 23:The apartment wasn't very carefully cleaned.
Review 24:The apartment was very well equipped. It was nicely decorated. The apartment was in a good location, in the middle of the town. The owner was very nice and spoke English well.
Review 25:Location is wonderful, right in the centre of town. Parking was an easy walk away. The owners were very helpful especially getting our large suitcases up the stairs. The studio was very well equipped.
Review 26:Nothing
Review 27:The apartment we stayed in was called Agachoun. Very spacious, large bedroom, large living room, complete kitchen and a tidy little terrace off the kitchen. Perfect for eating your local and market provisions. The units are located right in the centre of the island, close to everything. Many cafes and restraunts close by. On Sundays and Thursdays you walk straight outside into the markets, voila. Hosts Veronique and Patrick are very helpful while leaving you to your own devices. Making it feel like it is your very own apartment. We are definitely returning.
Review 28:Pity that the town is drab & did not live up to the hype the guide books give it. It is a good base to travel out & see nicer places however.
Review 29:Nice apartment.
Review 30:Although the apartment was clean and modern, I thought the shower coulddo with a really good scrub in the corners as well as all pots and panscleaned thoroughly. One can not just rely on the previous guess to cleanthe stuff and then put it back in the cupboards.
Review 31:Great location in the very centre of town. Really lovely shops in thisarea. Was nice to have more space than hotel room and to be able to cookfor yourself - saved on the budget for the excellent food in the rest ofProvence! (Gordes, Gigondas, Bonnieux...) We had the thursday marketfull of lovely fresh food in front of us on the square. Tourist officeacross the road. Nearby parking area very safe. Can drive up toapartment to drop luggage, streets are not that busy. Check-in was easyand friendly host quickly shows you the apartment. Takes paymentimmediately in cash.
Review 32:The smell at the entrance was strange. No nearby parking. High stairs at the entrance (too much when you have to carry your bags). We were asked to pay for our stay when we arrived. Usually the payment should be settled when you leave the accommodation.
Review 33:The owner was very helpfull and kind.
Review 34:Parking around the fringe of the city is an issue for all accomodation in this little jewell.
Review 35:Location excellent. Lovely host. Apartment recently refurbished. Clean and modern but in the heart of the old town. Market is amazing.
Review 36:I hate seeing a dirty bathroom. If the floor is dirty and there is black mould in the bathroom, it makes me question everything else. If that was cleaner, the place would have been just fine.
Review 37:The location, the space, and the person were all fine
Review 38:The room was extremely spacious and clean with a simple french feel. Patrick was most informative and kind. Location was excellent! Tourism office across the road...
Review 39:We were very happy with the flat and knew what to expect because we did our homework but a few things to be aware of are:- Town centre location means limited and restricted and charged for parking especially during the day. We parked in the free car park at Portalet about 200 metres away and walked. A busy car park but we never had a problem parking there at night (both in getting a space and security). The flat is very quiet because it has no windows facing the square. This also means it only has natural light from the rear where there is a patio door onto a nice sole use patio area one floor up.. But do not expect to sunbathe at the flat as it is surrounded by other residential properties several floors high. No problem for us but be aware that the bathroom is very small and at its narrowest point the gap between the shower glass panel and the route to the (recessed) toilet is only c.16 inches (40 cm).
Review 40:Bang in the centre of the town with front door opening onto the church and market but no windows at the front so no street noise at all. Suprisingly large studio flat on the first floor with excellent security, comfortable bed and living area furniture. All the facilities we used including wifi and air con, worked very well and the flat was in excellent condition and very easy to get used too. Veronique provided basics like tea, coffee, salt, pepper and oil, washing up liquid and the like. Baker across the street and small supermarket and many other shops within 100 metres as well as the market immediately outside on Sunday and Thursday morning. The flat is directly opposite the tourist info centre and the main door of the church (next to "Flanker" clothes shop).
Review 41:Not good for people who can't climb steps
Review 42:Great location for exploring the Antiques Fair and joining in the festivities, which stopped just before 11 so we had a great sleep
Review 43:On market days, the apartment is hard to find as the roads are closed down making acess difficult.
Review 44:I stayed here with my sister-in-law, daughter and niece. The location was excellent and the apartment was tastefully decorated and well equipped.
Review 45:The location is excellent! It is in the heart of the village. It is convenient to have breakfast or dinner, the restaurants are only a few steps away. It is suitable for staying several days. They provide refrigerator, microwave oven, and washing machine! The owners are enthusiastic, they told us where to park in detail. I will recommend it without hesitation.
Review 46:The wonderful central location, makes it difficult to reach with the car for loading and unloading bags--however, it's worth the trouble.
Review 47:We loved walking out the door and being at the market. Everything was in easy reach and we didn't touch our car for 3 days.
Review 48:It was tricky driving through the narrow streets to get to the town square as we didn't know at that point where the free parking was located. It might be helpful to know in advance where to leave the car which is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
Review 49:The apartment was located right in the middle of the square opposite the church and tourist bureau which was fantastic. The apartment is modern, stylish and perfect for a stay of 6 days and is great value as you can cook your meals. The washing machine was a life saver as we were 3 weeks into our trip. L'isle sur le Sorgue is a great place to stay and is surrounded by crystal clear water. The Sunday markets right outside the apartment are amazing.
Review 50:Faulty a/c
Review 51:Location
Review 52:Location great. But our room a bit claustrophobic.
Review 53:Central location-walk out the front door and the Sunday market was on the doorstep. Apartment was extremely clean and well presented.
Review 54:It was not a bad experience.I just enjoy having windoes
Review 55:Perfect location and Tamara was very helpful.
Review 56:Size, comfort
Review 57:Appartement tres bien situe, propre et decore avec soin.
Review 58:lazy internet line
Review 59:. convenient, effective. best posittion
Review 60:Beautiful town, easy walking distance of everything in the town. Don't miss the markets - wonderful local produce!
Review 61:Perfect location and excellent facilities, great value for money.
Review 62:Excellent place to stay in an excellent location
Review 63:No English channels on TV.No housekeeping services.
Review 64:Everything,great location,washing machine,full kitchen,best wifi of entire trip
Review 65:Very nice apartment in the heart of a very nice little town!Good design, perfectly clean, super nice hosts.Just wonderful!
Review 66:Superb location opposite the church. Close to Avignon. A wonderful apartment highly recommended.
Review 67:The bed
Review 68:Location Helpful owners
Review 69:In the centre of town . The owner explaining where to park etc.
Review 70:Stairs are a bit steep, not a problem for us, but could be an issue with others?
Review 71:Very comfortable, unexpectedly well outfitted, even with small kitchen and laundry. Loved the location, had to find parking on the edge of town but not that difficult in the end. wish we had been able to stay here longer!
Review 72:It was a little difficult to find at first but it is right opposite the tourist bureau. We had to park some distance away and were initially worried about leaving our hire car, but the car park was quite safe.
Review 73:The apartment was well equipped complete with washing machine, which is very handy when you are travelling. The apartment was well located in the heart of a very pretty town. The apartment was really spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. We were very impressed.
Review 74:Location was great, right on a square where they set up the market on Sat morning. Our triple apt had 3 large windows that let in the light the sounds of the plaza, church bells - nothing noisy, just wonderful. The apt had a large bedroom, and open floor plan for living room (sofa bed), dining and kitchen areas. Hosts were so great and accommodating and gave us all the information which was helpful. Would definitely stay there again in the 1-bedroom apt. Nice shower and great remodeled kitchen- beautiful and well equipped. Good wi-fi.
Review 75:Narrow staircase for our heavy luggage.
Review 76:The apartment had everything even an iron and wash machine very tastefully decorated and spacious. Location was on a delightful old town square away from traffic and noise. I could spend a week here.
Review 77:Nice and tastefully decorated apartmant in the centar of town. Very well equippted Great place to stay and would recommend it to all my friends.
Review 78:wifi connection wasn't great and it dropped out a fair amount.
Review 79:Wonderful location, VERY helpful friendly owner, French country stylish interior, useful starter supply pack of coffee, tea, sugar, toiletries etc. We had a quiet room at the back which made sleeping easy, and it had a huge walk in shower, washing machine etc. The market is right outside the front door on a Thursday. Free parking is 4 minute walk away but its easy to drop luggage off outside the front door. VERY narrow roads to get there so nervous drivers be warned! We loved it and highly recommend it.
Review 80:L'isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a charming little town, and Un Coin De Luberon is perfectly situation in the town center. There was a nice open market right nearby on our final morning in town. The owner is very friendly, and she was there to greet us and offer suggestions in town. There is free public parking a short walk away. We stayed in the studio on the top floor, which was plenty big for a couple. Great value. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Review 81:Oh, this is an absolutely wonderful place, right in the middle of the town opposite to the cathedral, whose clock looks into your window. The apartment is spacious, beautiful, nice and clean. The kitchen is big and very well equipped. This is the best place we've stayed in Provence.
Review 82:We had to park about 300 meters away in a public car park.
Review 83:Location in the heart of the town was great. The apartment was beautiful and clean with all necessities available.
Review 84:We stay at the unit on the first floor "L'Agachoun". The bathroom is very small. You need to walk sideway between the wall and the shower glass to reach the toilet. If you are a big person, request a unit with a bigger bathroom.
Review 85:Location is good. The Sunday market is right outside. We bought food from the market for the lunch and dinner and brought them back to the apartment and then continue our shopping in the market. Free public parking lot near by for easy parking. Owner is very friendly and welcoming. The apartment is very spacious and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped. They have sheets of instruction how to use the microwave oven in French and English but you need to combine the symbols from the French instruction with the English instruction to be able to fully understand how to use the different function of the appliance. The washing machine is also a plus since we were running out of clean clothes after two weeks of traveling and tired of hand wash them but start your washing early because it take quite a long time for the machine to finish the whole cycle.
Review 86:Rien de rien!
Review 87:Very cozy, homely flat in a Provencal style with a romantic view of the church. Couldn't be better located and more inviting - the host was very helpful and easy going, he gave us flexibility with check out time and made sure we felt autonomous. Highly recommended!
Review 88:Enjoyed everything.
Review 89:Located right in the centre of a town with many antique shops and a weekly antique market. A clean and quiet room with kitchen facilities. Friendly, helpful hosts. Easy access to water-wheel walk around the town. Bakery nearby.
Review 90:We thought this was a great apartment. It had everything we needed. We loved the location, especially on Sunday morning when you step outside your door and into a lively market!
Review 91:The wifi stopped working halfway through our stay.
Review 92:Very neat and in a great location right in town. A lot more spacious than hotel alternatives which is great for travellers wanting to spread out a bit. Loved the cute kitchen and comfy lounge.
Review 93:This was just a fantastic apartment in a great location. Everything that is needed was provided to ensure a wonderful stay in L'isle sur la Sorgue which is one of our favourite places in France. We hope to return.
Review 94:Location very central and atmospheric but a bit noisy at night.Apartment great character and tastefully fitted out. Greatfacilities and all basics provided-washing machine a godsendtravelling with family.
Review 95:Parking lot is a few hundred meters away. No housekeeping services in four days.
Review 96:Apartment is right in the middle of town center and well equipped. L'isle Sur La Sorgue is a nice town but activities are limited other than wining and dining. Access to surrounding cities is easy as there are a lot of historical towns to see.
Review 97:The bathroom is very squashy.
Review 98:Having kitchen and laundry facilities mid a long trip gave us a chance to catch up on some washing and have some breakfasts and lunches in the apartment. Location to all areas of Provence was excellent.
Review 99:The view of the church dominates and is a bit monochromatic andbright/hot. But there are curtains, shutters, and air conditioning.Be aware that this has the feel more of an urban walkup; don'texpect to see trees from your windows. But if you want to be in the citycenter and market of a wonderful, scenic (and quiet, so in that sensenot urban) provincial town, this is perfect. It is by far the best placewe've stayed yet on a three-week, four-stop tour of Paris, Provence, and London. Defintely "as advertised." Highly recommended.
Review 100:In the heart of the city center market. Views the Notre Dame church andclock tower! Perfectly spacious (we had two adults in the bedroom andone teen on the pullout), well-appointed, with Ikea kitchen andfurnishings, and completely renovated in 2011, so very new and clean --perfect combination of old world charm and modern convenience. All thecomforts of home. Patrick and Veronique, the owner/managers, are apleasure. Professional, friendly, and responsive. When we told them wehad to depart at 5:00 A.M. to catch a train from Paris but had forgottento pack an alarm clock, they happily provided one and double checked itwas set properly. Wonderful.
Review 101:Unit 1 has very tiny bathroom, if you were a big person would not be able to get to toilet , no room between shower and toilet
Review 102:Closeness to everything, spaciousness, privacy..
Review 103:We didn't find it major but if we have to say anything less enjoyable it would have been the youth's noise on the street around 10PM. It is not unusual at a tourist spot and did cease before it got too late. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
Review 104:We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment and enjoyed it very much. 1. The owner Veronique is very friendly and helpful. 2. Perfect location in this lovely town, just opposite to Tourist office. 3. Fully equipped with all you might need in a "home setting" and very generous with supplies (ie. more than enough napkins and tablets for dish washer. Basic seasoning and olive oil, butter, shampoo, shower gel all available.) 4. Nicely decorated interior. 5. Very clean. It's a lovely town to walk around and a good base to see other Provancal towns.
Review 105:Everything. Well designed, spacious studio with everything you need. Owner, pleasant, helpful and obliging. Wonderful location in a very attractive small town
Review 106:Not really a "dislike" but 2 flights of stairs may be difficult for some travelers... but it was a secure and easy place to stay! We did not mind the stairs - but some may not be capable of stairs and luggage.
Review 107:We liked - no LOVED - everything about Un Coin de Luberon. It was an excellent place to stay. Lovely little square, quiet, wonderful value, clean & updated, a small kitchenette, washing maching, and the hosts were wonderful!
Review 108:Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Review 109:We were absolutely delighted with our accomodation, so central and with all the comforts of home. We could not recommend it highly enough. I needed apt facilities as I am coeliac and my husband is diabetic with special dietary needs and all cooking facilities were provided. We were so pleased and enjoyed our stay so much more as a result of the comforts provided. Thank you
Review 110:Good kitchen, washing machine, in center of town with markets starting at front door, bakery and small grocery 100 to 200 feet away. Many excellent restaurants 1-5 minutes walk. Easy to drive to almost anywhere but need GPS in Luberon area
Review 111:Everything+++++ Fantastic in every way. Clean , comfortable, quiet, great location, well equipped. Great hosts.Cannot say enough about this lovely place.
Review 112:The owners - Veronique and her husband were charming hosts and nothing was to much trouble - we would revisit tomorrow if we could - best place/ best hosts / best time
Review 113:This hotel is excellent for the very young. No rooms on ground floor. One room is on the first floor but you must go up very steep numerousstairs. The other rooms are located on the second the second floor whichyou must go up a spiral metal staircase. If you have alot of luggage orknee problems this place may not be for you.
Review 114:The owner was very helpful in helping us find another hotel.
Review 115:hard to find, second floor, steep steps.
Review 116:Such a beautiful and well equipped apartment. The best for our whole trip.
Review 117:Nothing!
Review 118:We wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful apartment, comfortable, fantastic location.
Review 119:The sofa bed mattress was very hard to sleep on.
Review 120:Lovely spot. Loved the outdoor terrace.
