Reviews for Parador de Teruel
Review 1:Bit close to the main road ( but soundproofed) further away from town than i thought, on the edge of an industrial estate.
Review 2:Decent soundproofing, spacious room, nice building. Excellent parking,
Review 3:The was that your Room Service menu is set up. It seems wrong to show a cost per item and then add at the end 25% on top of listed price+ service charge. Room service items can only be provided in the room so the price shown should be the full price. This is unacceptable.
Review 4:Mattress was comfortable, would have like a UK TV channel
Review 5:grounds not interesting, hotel a bit tired and neglected, room was a bit gloomy but very clean, bathroom a bit tired as well.
Review 6:nice building, restaurant nice food, right off motorway, parking
Review 7:I thought the breakfast lacked imagination and they could have laid on cooked eggs otherwise not bad.
Review 8:The hotel was very friendly and is situated close to the main road from the Autovia which makes it a perfect stopping place for an overnight stay.
Review 9:Location forces you to take the car to visit Teruel, walking not possible in spite of only 2 km coz of road conditions.
Review 10:Free parking in front of hotel
Review 11:Location outside the town on a main dual carriageway road was disappointing in that one could not walk anywhere easily from the hotel.
Review 12:Attractive building, nice room, good facilities, excellent breakfast.
Review 13:Not very good wifi
Review 14:The overall experience was very good. The Parador was not really in walking distance of the town for us but the building is lovely and the staff very pleasant and helpful.
Review 15:Nice swimming pool for family Possible to have dinner in the garden - with candle lights, not the same menu as in the restaurant but great atmosphere
Review 18:Difficult wifi connection in the room. We drove through the city on the way to the parador. Well signposted within the city, but missing signage on the outskirts of the city. We got lost! Thanks to google maps as we had no GPS.
Review 19:Cool reception upon arrival, at 4.10 in afternoon the hotel could only offer a ham and cheese sandwich what a let down after a long journey.
Review 20:the lady serving in the bar was helpful, but looked a little over worked.
Review 21:I enjoy staying at Paradors as they always offer a step up experience. As long as realise that this will cost extra then crack on and tick them off as and when you can afford it.. The Parador at Teruel is a little out-of-town so on arrival, unless you fancy a hike or taxi, that's you in.. Nice lounge area with bar, good menu and excellent breakfast are part of the experience.
Review 22:The Reception staff need training to welcome guest! The food in the restaurant needs to be upgraded . We considered it below par for Parador hotel: ordinary with no fresh vegetables and lack of taste and very limited choices of dessert. For the management attention!
Review 23:This is a value for money hotel with all the comfort facilities. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast choices.
Review 24:The rather tatty appearance (not at all like other paradors we have visited). The staff were a bit slaphappy!
Review 25:Bed very comfortable, wifi good, all facilities v good
Review 26:Reception staff not welcoming, almost rude. Wi-Fi weak signal throughout hotel.
Review 27:Food and wait staff excellent, especially in the outdoor setting. Location perfect for our trip. Large and very clean room. Easy and convenient parking.
Review 28:The poor WIFI. It would not connect in the room
Review 29:The hotel is set in lovely grounds giving space to walk, to have a large pool area . Being able to eat outside.
Review 30:The class of the Parador ,the staff and the best breakfast in Spain!!
Review 31:Comfortable bed

Review 35:Reception not very friendly.
Review 36:Lovely view from our room.
Review 37:A for star hotel should at the very least provide bottled water daily and tea/ coffee making facities
Review 38:Friendly staff
Review 39:Meals were poor to medium and over priced. Advise stay in Paradors but eat elsewhere.
Review 40:Location and bedrooms.

Review 64:WiFi w/o password visible but no possibility to connect - it was really important for us :-(
Review 65:Nice location, big parking place, good breakfast :-)
Review 66:Bar closed at first hour, so you must pay for hotel breakfast.
Review 67:Nice comfortable hotel in general.

Review 77:The comfortably appointed bedroom.
Review 78:Restaurant food poor. reception not very helpfull
Review 79:Room good. swimming pool ok
Review 80:can not really say I did not like something
Review 81:comfortable room
Review 82:It was a bit too far out of Teruel to allow walking into town
Review 83:The staff were very helpful, and the hotel and its grounds were lovely
Review 84:Food was expensive, grateful for the bar dinner options. Service was fair.
Review 85:Set just minutes away from Teruel, the Paradore was well situated on a garden-like landscape. Don't miss the mountain ranges leading into this area!
Review 86:1) Poor signage to the Parador from main access roads 2) Reception staff perfectly capable but "dour" would be a generous description, even though we were both Spanish speakers
Review 87:Cafeteria and Restaurant staff helpful and cheerful
Review 88:As mentioned elsewhere, the soundproofing is non existent. We could hear everything from next door. Although we were in a non smoking room (I think) the smell of cigarette smoke kept wafting through the bathroom. We had the €30 menu in the restaurant which provided heaps of food but it was very bland and not the quality I'd expected.
Review 89:Impressive building. Very comfortable room. Staff in the bar and restaurant very good. Lots of easily accessible parking right outside.
Review 90:Whilst the bar staff were very polite the male receptionist was surly and rude. Upon presentation, our booking confirmation was brushed to one side: we were then asked for our passports, and given the key to the room, and all without eye contact let alone a smile. Sadly this is not the first time we have experienced this attitude when making a reservation through booking.com. But it will not deter us from using such an excellent hotel and booking.com again!
Review 91:Everything about the hotel was superb and we will certainly stay there again. It was one of the most luxurious, spacious, comfortable hotels I have ever stayed in.
Review 92:While the location is not convenient/close for walking beyond the Parador grounds, it is centrally located and an easy drive to the historic center of Teruel. Beautiful grounds, large room, helpful staff, comfortable bed and easy parking.
Review 93:No proper restaurant on our Sunday visit. Bar a bit lacking in atmosphere for a country renowned for atmospheric bars!
Review 94:Good location with easy, free parking. Lovely rooms with all facilities you'd expect from a 4* hotel. Tennis courts and outdoor pool not available in November, but would be a plus. Excellent buffet breakfast.
Review 95:The staff were very unhelpful. The location was difficult to find and when we rang for instructions the telephone was not answered for half an hour and then the receptionist could not tell us how to get there forcing us to pay a taxi to go so we could follow.
Review 96:The Hotel and grounds were beautifully kept. The room was comfortable.
Review 97:Internal standard of room was somewhat 'tired'. As our first stay at a Parador, we were disappointed. For B&B, not value for money. By comparison, we stayed at an hotel in the town and had a better experience.
Review 98:Helpful restaurant staff, but dinner was not particularly special. Parking good.
Review 99:Staff, not friendly at all, try to smile to guests, i'm with you because i like it, i want you to show me you like it we are your guests, this is. Voor the lady at tht reception and. The lady at the breakfastroom
Review 100:Miserable,unhelpful staff. Outside seating in gardens covered in mess, unable to use. All facilities closed. Expensive breakfast. Not good in spite of a terrific room
Review 101:Great Room
Review 102:You still have the feeling you are disturbing their routines. The food was horribel and restaurant understaffed.
Review 103:The room was nice and shower facilities good.
Review 104:While it is nice to be served coffee at breakfast, investment in aquality coffee making machine might make sure it is hot.
Review 105:In some dozen visits to Spain this wasa our first experience in aParador. The facilities were first class, plenty of room to park, andthe staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were superb with a welcome display of local produce!
Review 106:No proper desk or worksurface in room for using laptop. The table was not possible to sit at because impossible to get knees underneath. Not the most glamourous of Paradors, but not the most expensive either.
Review 107:Staff friendly. Room had small balcony which was nice. Peaceful location outside of city centre but fairly close if you have your own car.
Review 108:poor hot selection at breakfast. no food available in hotel till 8 30 pm too late for me. no inside spa or gym only outside pool thats never open
Review 109:good size rooms very clean good quality sheets comfortable bed great parking friendly staff good coffee fresh juice and good pastry etc
Review 110:The meals were in my view much too expensive, very easily costing more than the hotel room. The food was well prepaired but arrived cold on the table, which spoiled the eating experience greatly.
Review 111:The surrounding countryside and the views were stunning. The rooms and the Hotel was also very good, and it was easy to find.
Review 112:Difficulty finding the Parador had to ask for directions three times! Grumpy man and woman on reception. No welcoming smile. Not helpful at all. Dinner - Expensive food. Waitresses again not very friendly. We did not have breakfast as 16 e per person a bit high. When we handed in our key we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay or wished a good journey!
Review 113:Very clean. Nicely appointed bedrooms. Interesting building. We visited in mid May so could not use outdoor swimming pool or tennis court as it was too cold
Review 114:However, a very grumpy receptionist was on duty aflter and when asked asimple question, he acted as though it were a chore to answer it.The evening meal was very disappointing unfortunately, because we were very hungry. My partner's cod was not cooked, but we were too tired to wait for a replacement if it was returned. The service in the dining room was vereeee slow.
Review 115:The afternoon receptionist when we arrived was excellent, very friendlyand welcoming, as were the breakfast staff. The breakfast was rather expensive, but very comprehensive and enjoyable.
Review 116:Nothing!!
Review 117:The usual Parador high standards. We have been staying at Paradors for the past 15 years and have always had a very enjoyable and positive stay!
Review 118:Start of dinner not before 8.30pm. Would have liked an earlier start especially when travelling through.
Review 119:Elegant atmosphere. Comfortable rooms, modern bathroom.
Review 120:Was en route costa blanca to Bilbao, excellent location for overnight stop. Parador s offer a very comfortable exclusive stay and this was no exception. Food was to a high standard although a bit pricey for what was served. Room excellent and staff very friendly. Not sure what the banners and demonstrations very all about though!
Review 121:We received an unfriendly welcome by an elderly male receptionist. Other receptionists were much better. Breakfast very good, but we found the evening meals too large and heavy.
Review 122:Comfortable room, good interior furnishings, excellent bathroom. Pleasant public areas.
