Reviews for Le Rabelais
Review 1:As usual we enjoyed a good stay! Great welcome. Liked the mixture of the old and new style in the hotel. The view across the harbour and sea always has something new to look at!
Review 2:Minor niggle Nowhere under cover to put our cycles despite having asked in advance (but they were ok locked up outside)
Review 3:Wonderful location right on the lively sea front. Beautiful breakfast terrace. Good breakfast and very well cared for hotel.
Review 4:Nice hotel, next to the beach, helpful staff, the room was clean and well equipped but not very spacious (not enough space for 2 medium luggages and for also getting around the room). Very nice terrace for having coffee / breakfast with a view on the port.
Review 5:Bathroom was probably a little bit but can't ask more for that price.
Review 6:Perfect location in the Le Lavandou city center. You can walk to Port de la croix beach in 20 mins! New internal design and very clean. Staff very helpful (remember to book the parking from them it will save you an headache :-)
Review 7:Very friendly, helpful owners who take pride in their hotel. The decor is simple but tasteful and although the bathrooms are a little small they are perfectly adequate. The situation of the hotel is lovely and overlooks the marina. We would definitely stay again.
Review 8:I am not sure what parking is like. We arrived - parked illegally while we unloaded and returned a hire car. Perhaps the hotel can help with parking - worth checking.
Review 9:Very friendly staff. The hotel is a few steps from the beach and various restaurants. A couple of minutes walk to get to the ferry to visit the islands.
Review 10:Stylish, cozy hotel in lovely town. Central location, nice view to the harbor from balcony. There is fridge in a room. Public parking in front of hotel, paid 8 EUR for 15 hours.
Review 11:Room could have had a bar fridge where we could have cooled our water and drinks and kept food. Room could have had shelves in the cupboard to store cloths, only had hanging space.
Review 12:Great location!!!!! Was neat and tidy and staff helped where they could
Review 13:Rooms with a sea view have the noise of surrounding bars.
Review 14:Nice renovated hotel. Very clean what is not Always the case in France. Friendly owner and his wife
Review 15:We had the room next the the breakfast room and could hear the noise from breakfast every morning.
Review 16:We had a great short break. The hotel is well placed and the room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Our room had a large terrace which was a real bonus.
Review 17:The bathroom is extremely small, but it still manages to have a nice showerstall. Parking is in the street and can be difficult.
Review 18:The view of the port and the nearness to everything is fabulous. We did not use the terrace for breakfast, but it lokked very nice.
Review 19:Bed was unfortunately extremely hard as were the pillows.
Review 20:Modern very clean, nice big room and bed at rear of hotel with lively balcony. Excellent value.
Review 21:There was no lift and as we were on the third floor taking our luggage up three flights of winding stairs was a bit of a struggle.
Review 22:The style of the hotel was modern but with a traditional French twist. The room we had was small and the shower room was adequate for our one night stay.
Review 23:We had a room on the first floor facing the port with a small private part of terrace. It was clean, spacious and soundproof. Stuff is very nice and the beach is close.
Review 24:none
Review 25:super friendly staff/owner. Brilliant service! Tho location is supreme, awesome view from the window and practically locate near everything you would need.

Review 36:A cosy, small hotel just by the port of Le Lavandou. Just a couple of steps from the town center. Fresh and newly renovated room.

Review 38:Közvetlen a parton , jó áron , nagyon tiszta szépen berendezett szoba, barátságos személyzet
Review 39:Noisy at night
Review 40:Very nice rooms. Excellent location
Review 41:Bit complicated situation with parking, but that's probably not error on hotel's side.
Review 42:Well situated hotel, with pleasant lady at the reception, tasty and rich breakfasts, decent hotel rooms.
Review 43:Late night noise from local bar (less than 100 mtrs distant).
Review 44:Our Host seemed to be on Hand for our every need, and was quite charming. Fine location, room#22 with view of the Port Don't miss the Hotel breakfast, fine choice and great coffee.
Review 45:Would like to have been able to have a drink in the hotel early evenings before going out for a meal.
Review 46:The welcome from the staff and their willingness to help when we had a problem with the car.
Review 47:We found it a bit expensive for what it is, but that's due to the location I guess. Plus you have to add 9€ pp for breakfast, which is good though.
Review 48:The rooms are nice, and quite comfortable. Great location, in front of the harbour and really close to the beach. The staff was so nice and helpful! Always smiling.
Review 49:On top of the luxury room cost of £125 pn you have to add EURO 18 per couple per day for breakfast and EURO 7 per day for parking totalling nearly £150 per night. this is in lower rated month of September which is too much for a 2 star hotel. Must close the French windows and use air con at night as there is street noise til 3am some nights
Review 50:Big investment in modern design and fittings in bedrooms. Very helpful proprietor and staff. Top priced rooms have a balcony overlooking the marina which is the main attraction if the prices were lower,I air con and fridge
Review 51:First time in along this coast line which is very nice, but also expensive , you could do Italy or Portugal on half the budget of France ,
Review 52:Location, to the beach that's about it, No shopping, Not many nice restuarants.
Review 53:Trying to work out how to park up close to unload as we could see the hotel but could not work out how together there! Breakfast was expensive so we ate out.
Review 54:Close proximity to the beach.we were in the back of the building and it was quiet at night. Cheap and cheerful!
Review 55:The air condition did not work proberly, we woke up in the morning, when it was "raining" under it. The staff did not get it repaired (perhaps because of the week?). The bath room was very small and the fan was really noisy. Breakfast was not worth 9 €.
Review 56:The sea view was excellent, the beach was near the hotel, too.
Review 57:Would have been nice to be able to buy a drink or coffee in the evening after dinner and sit on the terrace overlooking the port but this was closed off after staff went home. Needs aircon
Review 58:Superb views from our balcony on the second floor. Friendly staff.
Review 59:Strict no-smoking hotel, with signs everywhere, but foyer and stairwellsmelt of cigarette smoke (from staff accommodation?). Unpleasant onarrival, but fine once in bedroom.
Review 60:Excellent location. Wonderful views of harbour. Handy for all shops andrestaurants.
Review 61:The shower pressure was low and for that price I would prefer the shower to be better.
