Reviews for Inter-Hotel Des Cedres
Review 1:Breakfast was fairly basic.
Review 2:Staff were very nice and recommended some good places to eat, gave us maps and helped with parking. 10 minute walk from the Cathedral.
Review 3:quite a cold atmosphere at the time to have my breakfast whose selection of food was reasonable but without being outstanding. Was I too early ???? 7.15 am ?
Review 4:very good welcoming of the receptionist on my arrival who was in many options really helpful and indicate me a practical way to have a short visit of the historic centre of the city and get some food on a Sunday evening. the hotel is situated in a quiet street at 15 minutes walk of the Cathedral (and city centre)
Review 5:No aircon - a complete killer as the sun shines on Room 40 all day. Not sure if it's the same in all of the other rooms. Shower head was at chest height so difficult to stand under and wash your hair. One flat, square cushion each - but I think the French aren't all there when it comes to good pillows ;-)
Review 6:Room 40 on top floor had a lovely view over city.
Review 7:The location is not suitable for railway travellers. A bit too far from station and town centre. Not ideal for sightseeing as one needs about 20 mins to walk to the center.
Review 8:The friendly helpful staffs.
Review 9:Large and clean bed and bathroom. Only 10 mins walk to centre of town. Very comfortable bed. Extremely helpful staff at check in- found us a fan to cool room down immediately. Good value for money
Review 10:Great size room for a family of five. The beds were comfy and bedding crisp and white and very clean. Bath filled quickly. Only a 10 minute walk to Orleans Old Town for Dinner. Reception very helpful.
Review 11:No restaurant or bar means a walk of quite a distance into town. Our room was not air conditioned and it was very hot and stuffy.
Review 12:The receptionist was very friendly and helpful in suggesting areas of interest in the town and places to eat.
Review 13:Nothing
Review 14:Good location with free car parking in street outside. If you want secure parking it only costs 2 euro. Also there is space to stop outside to unload car. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast room.
Review 15:I appreciated the fact that the hotel called me to explain entrance to the hotel after midnight. On another note, Lady Salwa was very helpful in showing me the nearest restaurants and also directions.
Review 16:everything work nicely.
Review 17:Own garden on backyard was really lively. The room was towards the garden and the location was nice and quiet small street close to the center.
Review 18:All was good.
Review 19:Receptionist was very welcoming and informative. Room was lovely with a huge bathroom. We will certainly stay again when we are in Orleans
Review 20:The bathroom was very small and cramped with a very poor sliding door.
Review 21:The location of the hotel. The friendly family feel of the place. Friendly and obliging staff.
Review 22:Guests in room above noisy from 06.30 - 08.00 which disturbed our sleep. Underground garage useful but extremely tight to negotiate. Damaged bumper of car on raised edge in entry tunnel. My fault, I should have been more vigilant.fun
Review 23:Location close to city centre so very convenient. Staff efficient and friendly.
Review 24:It was a bit small but we managed well. Wifi was a it patchy.
Review 25:The hotel was close to the old city and we walked into town for dinner and breakfast. It was clean and comfortable and the lovely young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We had the top floor room with a small balcony.
Review 26:The lift was very tiny - we had to go up to our room separately with our luggage!
Review 27:It was a great location with very helpful staff. The room was a very good size and the breakfast was very good.
Review 28:Covered Parking was available but very hazardous to access (particularly in a larger car, I'd imagine). The smallest lift I've ever come across - must check Guiness book of records! Not a bundle of fun if you're claustrophobic - I'd imagine
Review 29:Lovely, friendly helpful staff. Quiet location near City centre. Comfortable and clean - cosy with no frills. Nice garden!
Review 30:lift too small - we had a wheelchair and if our person was wheelchair bound the lift wouldn't off accommodated him. No provisions made for our wheelchair user in case of a fire our room was described as a suite - it wasn't a suite it was 2 rooms interconnecting no shower curtain no tea/coffee facilities in room
Review 31:location
Review 32:We thought garden room had access to the garden rather than just had a view. We changed from one comfort room (which looked very much like the standard rooms) to another which was much nicer. I think this hotel is fine to be used as a base rather than being a nice hotel to stay in. Staff grew on me.
Review 33:Room 28
Review 34:Good situation although a 15 min walk to main centre. But this made parking on the street easier & the situation a bit quieter than city centre. Staff were informative & helpful. Good overnight stop.
Review 35:Due to this being an old French building the conversation to a hotel would not have met UK fire safety regulations, open corridors and stairs.
Review 36:on arrival the reception staff were very pleased to see us. I had booked a cat parking place but was included that due to having a roof box I would not get in. I was refunded and told I could park right outside the hotel. We had a family room for five, very large looking over the street, quiet location. Breakfast was suitable, nothing to rave about but all the kids found something to eat.
Review 37:Couple of bulbs gone (and were 2 weeks later on return). No fridge in room No shower curtain (perhaps not necessary for 1 or 2 people but after 5 it was)
Review 38:Parking right outside Family room for 5 2/3 mile walk to centre and many restaurants to choose from
Review 39:Nothing!
Review 40:Great stopover travelling from S France to UK. Spacious, comfortable family room with good breakfast. Lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. Location was excellentfor discovering Orleans on foot. A perfect place for the last night of our family holiday, will return!
Review 41:The rooms are extremely lack luster even for a lower mid-level price range. Has a cheap motel vibe upon entering the room. Parking is a bit inconvenient if there is not an immediate space open on the street. (However that is normally the case with many hotels in Europe)
Review 42:The front desk was very accommodating to the standard of a 4/5 star. The location is within a decent walk to the main city center.
Review 43:Their reserved parking is impossible to get into in a Chrysler Grand Voyager.
Review 44:Easy to find with free on street parking just outside the hotel. Walking distance from the old centre of Orleans. One family room for all five of us worked better than expected! Big room with comfortable beds and a nice big bathroom.
Review 45:Small but comfortable room, working WiFi, well-presented breakfast in the conservatory with garden view. Walking distance to city center. Public parking available on the street. We received a phone call to confirm that we are coming with instructions on how to enter the hotel after hours. A positive surprise, which was much appreciated in this day and age of impersonal hotel dealings.
Review 46:Bedroom a bit tired - needed refurbishing. Could have benefited from a couple of comfortable chairs.
Review 47:Breakfast room overlooking garden was very pleasant.
Review 48:Had to find parking on the street.
Review 49:The staff was very accommodating for our family of 5 visiting from the US, the only issue we had was parking, but we knew that ahead of time. Sure beats the IBIS across the street with the bus loads of tourists! Easy walk to the old city, quiet neighborhood.
Review 50:Walking distance to the city center
Review 51:.. If only they can have more selections for breakfast.
Review 52:.. We liked everything and will recommend this hotel to other guest.
Review 53:Car Parking was tight in a busy street
Review 54:The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful
Review 55:The shower room was very small and totally inadequate which was disappointing
Review 56:The room was good and breakfast very good.
Review 57:Friendly receptionist handy to city
Review 58:Bit off the beaten track
Review 59:Great place to stay
Review 60:Very close to the city centre.
Review 61:Very friendly reception staff
Review 62:The owner was helpful and friendly
Review 63:helpful staff
Review 64:Nothing but we only stayed one night
Review 65:Good location, friendly staff
Review 66:Only suggestion would be a couple of bottles of mineral water in the room.
Review 67:Perfect for an overnight stopover, staff were welcoming and helpful.
Review 68:We arrived late, but there were arrangements to collect our keys, etc. Nice place for travellers.
Review 69:Friendly staff
Review 70:Very small lift
Review 71:Located across station
Review 72:Shower was a handheld type.
Review 73:Top floor with balcony view. Garden setting to relax in. Room was reasonably sized.
Review 74:Quiet and comfortable stay, with friendly staff, so very nice !
Review 75:Friendly staff Good location Rooms easy to access Rooms were comfortable and spacious Good value for money
Review 76:Quiet, walking distance to the town center, parking possibilities, garden in the backyard
Review 77:For some, the shower might just be a tad too small
Review 78:Staff Cleanliness Quiet rooms Location ok Free Parking space on the street
Review 79:The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 80:Very friendly staff
Review 81:Easy access from highway hotel which is within 10 min. walk from the city centre.
Review 82:no breakfast included parking at extra cost
Review 83:powerful showers
Review 84:Parking is not the easiest but there are options around the hotel Breakfast was ok but could have had a bit more variety (eggs)
Review 85:Short walk from the center Very friendly staff Renovated bathrooms Clean and well maintained Free wifi Excellent value for money
Review 86:No complaints at all.
Review 87:Location- close enough to town but not along a noisy street. Friendly, helpful staff. I had made a mistake in my booking date but the problem was promptly corrected by reception.
Review 88:Very cosy little hotel with a small garden and a sun porch. Good breakfast. I love the staff, who gave us so many recomendations about the city (thank you, Rozenn!) They also allowed us to drink our vine with cheese in the evening and gave us the glasses for this. The rooms face very quiet back street
Review 89:We had the family room for 5 - big, clean and quiet, exactly what we needed for a stopover while driving further south. Breakfast was also good if a little expensive (33 euros for 2 adults and 3 infants).
Review 90:The hotel's underground parking nearby should only be used by skilled drivers and cars of suitable lenght. The staff does warn you! One more thing: No shower curtain.
Review 91:The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We had a very nice room towards the garden with a big bath. The locarion is within walking distance to the train station and the pedestrian area.
Review 92:The location was further from the centre than we expected. The reception was not so friendly and the breakfast was very poor.
Review 93:The room was clean and the WiFi good.
Review 94:Staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel was ideal for our purposes as we were en-route to the south. We also stayed on the return trip and were able to see another room. We would definitely stay again.
Review 95:Shower was hand held but good facilities nonetheless.
Review 96:Great location near the centre of Orleans. Underground car park secure. Receptionists very amenable, friendly and welcoming.
Review 97:Tiny lift hardly big enough for two people plus luggage. Undergroundparking charged extra, and very tricky to get into with anything but asmall-medium sized car except with extreme care, although I did justmanage to get our Merc e Estate in and out without a scratch!
Review 98:Friendliness and helpfulness (eg booking a table for dinner) of staff, free wifi, good location near Cathedral and old city.
Review 99:The parking garage suits medium to compact cars only. Not a problem forus yet it would have been better to read this in the hotel information.
Review 100:Convenient location close to the main city centre locations yet easyto drive to.
Review 101:Staff not overly forthcoming. No particular facilities of note. Reception area seemed quite cramped. Not that cheap, especially as breakfast not included.
Review 102:It was clean and a fairly big room with 5 beds. Easy walk to city centre.
Review 103:The hotel is quite dingy and in need of a re-vamp, old carpets and furnishings. There was no door on the bathroom, it was more like a heavy curtain that didnt fully cover the doorway - so not much privacy! The lift is small and enclosed, I would advise anyone who is at all claustrophobic to take the stairs. Lots of noise whenever other guests passed our doorway - they weren't making excessive noise but there is no soundproofing at all. We were only staying for one night while passing through Orleans, had we arranged to stay any longer I would have found alternative accommodation.
Review 104:Reasonably well located, free parking on the street. Breakfast was fresh although the selection is limited, good quality coffee. The garden is lovely.
Review 105:Smaller than expected room after paying for the comfort room rather than standard. Pillows might not of been any as were so thin. Lift next to bedroom door so bumped into people coming out. Lights on timer switch so had to feel around in dark for them as hallways had no windows. Lift so small could barely accommodate guests and luggage together.
Review 106:The receptionist was very pleasant.
Review 107:Location excellent for central Orleans. 10 minutes pleasant walk. Nice big bath which was requested. Secure parking at hotel. We were able to book out but leave our car there until the afternoon allowing to further explore the area. Pleasant and helpful staff, particularly Marc who gave us lots of good advice on restaurants.
Review 108:The hotel staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. We arrived at night and staff prepared an evenlope with codes and information, and a plan to reach the carpark (200m away from hotel). Breakfast is good, value for money! Rooms are a bit older (at least the one that we have), but it was very clean.
Review 109:The hotel was good I had 3 young kids with me and my wife and we all stayed in the same room which was perfect . It was a short walk to the centre which was lively
Review 110:Friendly service, nice large room with plenty of space and largebathroom. Great buffet breakfast which was good value for money andcheaper for children. Nice fast wireless internet.
Review 111:The directions on how to get there!! There must be a more direct routethat doesn't take you round all the backstreets, as it is off one of themain boulevards. No indication that although there is parking at thehotel, the car park will only take smaller cars.
Review 112:Incredibly welcoming and friendly, helpful staff. Warm, comfortable roomamd excellent location for visiting the centre of Orleans.
Review 113:very small room, very limited brakfast options considering mainly considering that it's not included in teh accomdation price.
Review 114:easy access in the city, handy
Review 115:We were made to feel very welcome upon our arrival. I love the character of the hotel, the room felt more relaxed and personal than just beds in a box.
Review 116:Air conditioning would have been very welcome!
Review 117:Clean, comfortable hotel used for one night stop over on way back from The Dordogne. We had a family room which was in the eaves, and was extremely hot! The weather that day reached 41c and being in the eaves didnt help! However the hotel did provide a fan in the room and the very helpful guy on reception managed to find us a second one when we asked. Easy to find, and free parking on the street outside the hotel.
Review 118:The location was a bit sketchy, but ok when you walked toward the center of town. The lobby and halls are a bit tired and in need of redecoration.
Review 119:The room itself and large bathroom were very comfortable; there was a nice view of a courtyard. The hotel is very convenient to the center of Orleans
Review 120:Sone noice from the room in the morning - only for the room facingthe street.
Review 121:Close to the city center, nice personal hotel, friendly staff, goodenglish, nice small backyard garden, quiet atmosphere.
Review 122:Fittings look a bit precarious- could do with screwing some of the lights back into the wall!
Review 123:Great location, parking and cheap for the quality of the room.
