Reviews for Residencial Las Norias

Review 1:You do need to check for mosquitos every night. Worth taking a vaporisor to make it easier. We weren't bitten but did swat a few every night. Mattress was a bit firm.

Review 2:Good location for driving to all parts of the island. Very clean and well maintained gardens with two open air swimming pools and a nice balcony to relax and sun yourself.

Review 3:We had booked on the understanding that we would be located in the main complex which looks very attractive. Instead we found ourselves in one of four self catering units located about 1.6 km away. The units had little heating (nights were cold), uncomfortable beds, no tourist information, and limited cooking material - we had to ask for an electric kettle. We would not have booked this had we been told in advance that this was the option.

Review 4:A friendly and helpful member of staff who tried to assist us providing an electric kettle and useful walking guides

Review 5:No kettle. No oven or grill. We went in January and it was very cold at night with no heating available except an open fire, but no fuel for it. We were not on the main site but up the road and up a narrow lane with no where to pass. We are used to narrow lanes in the Lake District but were very glad we never met anything here. This site is mainly for 4 or more people with 2 bedroom accommodation although we were only 2. (Booked late). We rejected the first appt. we were offered and were then offered what is probably their best appt.

Review 6:Very quiet, very clean. Nice gardens. Good position with no view of the banana sheds. Relatively convenient position for touring the island and getting to walks. You can order bread to be delivered every morning which is great as the nearest shop is about a mile away.

Review 7:apartment was not used for some time, so pretty much moisture everywhere. The apartment needs really a big effort in cleaning. The windows were sprinkled with something I do not want to imagine, the bath tub is covered with stain, the bed is horrible for a person having allergy against dust like me. When we heated the apartment, the moist went away and all the dust became loose - particularly the bed and pillows seem to have not had seen a washing machine in ages. The people were unhelpful in any respect, other than handing over the keys and taking a photocopy of the passport. e-mails are not answered. The apartments could have good WIFI fed by an ADSL connection, but the WIFI base station was bust, rendering the WIFI repeaters useless. My offer to help them fix it was refused -- it would have been really easy to add a new WIFI base station onto the existing mast. So that means the only WIFI existing was the one in a separete building behind a locked metal door in a stone building (volcanic stones shielding WIFI very well), rendering WIFI useless except for within 5m from the separate building.

Review 8:the location is good with a view to the sea

Review 9:The apartment was a bit chilly in the evenings in December and there is no heating. This might not be a problem for most people but I really feel the cold. Another small thing is that I was travelling with my sister and we booked a two bedroom place to be sure of having two beds. However, when we arrived only one bed had been properly made up. It wasn't really a problem because there was a clean sheet on the bed in the other room and two single duvets on the bed that was made up so it was just a matter of moving a duvet and pillow, but it was a bit odd not to have both rooms prepared. Finally, the kitchen only had two electric rings - no oven and no microwave. Again not a big problem as most people don't do elaborate cooking on holiday, but useful to know in advance.

Review 10:This is the first place I have ever stayed where the reality was better than the pictures on the website. We had a lovely spacious two-bedroom bungalow. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of pans, plates, cooking implements etc in the kitchen, including a coffee filter machine and an espresso pot. Outside we had a fairly large terrace with a table, chairs and sun-loungers.

Review 11:The nearest shop is in Todoque about 1,5 km

Review 12:Celia took very good care of us; the place is calm, quiet and private; marvellous view at the sea and banana plantations; fresh bread every morning at your doorstep.

Review 13:We liked everything!!!

Review 14:So well situated, quiet idyllic, beautiful. Stunning views, great location. So very peaceful. Two beautiful swimming pools that were virtually empty. Wonderfully friendly staff. Just SUPERB

Review 15:The position is great cause we could have dinner from our appartament looking at the sunset. The residence has very nice common areas like the two swimming pools and gardens where you can relax reading a book.

Review 16:These are not in Tazacorte as stated, at least a 5/10 min drive to Tazacorte. They are actually nearer a village called Todoque. The internet only worked for 4 hours out of a total of 5 days, other people experienced the same problem. You need a car its a very steep hill to climb! The bread service is a good idea although out of 4 days we received twice the wrong order and once no order at all! Apartments could do with a fan.

Review 17:quiet apartments with nice small pool. Bread service is a plus as shops are not within walking distance. Olivia was very helpful and pleasant. Towels were changed every two days.

Review 18:This Does Not Reflect on residencial Las Norias. I was amazed to find that there was no phone signal you had to walk to the top of the road to make a call, then you got messages of your missed calls, inter net was at reception also very bad. The Tv is out Dated they have a service called Orchid its Spanish, IF it worked it would do so for 20 mns and then go Static and you would just have to give up. The Bus Drivers in La Plama have to be the Rudest I have ever come across in my life and I have travelled many a mile but they have taken the record, Unhelpful, Very Unfriendly, and seem totally unhappy in their jobs. I am also a Bus Driver so I do know what I am speaking about and all though not Spanish I live in the canary islands and speak Spanish I feel for the tourist. Also the waiters one word UNREAL, It put me off eating out and even speaking in Spanish to them and I never left a tip only once as the service did not deserve it

Review 19:I had first booked Residencial las Norias as a birthday Surprise for my boyfriend but we split up the week before, I was on 2 minds as to go or not but I am so glad I went, Its a Place of beauty and Peace,The apartment had all you could require, The bed was of Fantastic quality as I had 2 major surgeries on my spine my bed needs to be of the best quality, I woke every morning refreshed and pain free. You had your own sun Loungers on the Patio but also where able to have ones free by the pool no towel huggers here. Pool was free for many hours of the day where you could enjoy a relaxing swim. Staff where lovely, friendly and very so friendly. So at first when I was over taken by the beauty and I had taken the wrong choice in going in the end I felt I had done the correct thing and had recovered a little. I shall go back next year but will rent a car to see more of what La Plama has to offer.

Review 20:Peaceful location but 2 good restaurants close by. Staff very helpful , facilities good.

Review 21:Very friendly welcome Very good and sunny location, beautiful garden and nice pools Good value

Review 22:Large pool, comfortable rooms, fast WiFi, very friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of two very nice restaurants. Highly recommend!

Review 23:Spring mattress extremely uncomfortable Humidity inside the flat

Review 24:Great view Close to Puerto Naos and its great beach Spacious flat

Review 25:Wifi a bit hit and miss

Review 26:Private patio. Value for money. Empty swimming pools

Review 27:- beautiful gardens - very clean - own parking place

Review 28:Location

Review 29:Supportive staff

Review 30:Very quiet place.ideally located for hikings or relaxing on the Sunset terrace

Review 31:clean, quiet, bright, refreshing, tremendous value.

Review 32:The only thing missing was a fan.

Review 33:This is a really lovely place to stay. Very quiet, nice pool, comfortable beds and well equipped apartment and terrace.

Review 34:This is a lovely place to stay. Really stunning views from the terrace, spacious and clean rooms. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and even drove us to the market to buy our groceries on the day of our arrival. It's on a regular bus route which made getting around pretty easy. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful holiday. We will definately be back to Las Norias apartments.

Review 35:When we got to Todoque we were taken to a chalet up in the hills so didn't get to stay where we had booked, with no explanation. Description also said tazacorte, while it is Todoque - we went to see where we should have been staying and it was far superior. No wifi or tv where we were, very small, cold swimming pool, and insufficient hot water, surrounded by vines which at this time of year are dead twigs, not the pretty flower gardens at las norias.

Review 36:It was a wonderfully quiet location, ideally placed between the great beaches at Puerto Naos and Tazacorte. A small, established resort, the gardens around the villas are mature and well maintained, and there is a choice of pools - one heated. We had a rooftop terrace and a small verandah and an adjoining small shared garden, and private parking. Fresh loaves delivered every morning ready for sandwich making for the fantastic walks to be undertaken.

Review 37:The apartment is really wonderfull. All we needed for a great holiday. Fully equipped kitchen. The beds are good and its also very silent so we slept very well. Beautifull living room with direct acces to a big terrace with view on the mountains and on the other site on the ocean. Enjoy the sun and enjoy live to the max. A lot of privacy. Also 2 swimming pools and the supportive staff brings fresh bread every morning if u like.Really value for your money. We will return to Las Norias for sure.

Review 38:Living room (one chair) and kitchenette much too small/basic for a pricey 4-person/2-bedroom apartment. Felt like a caravan. The 1 bedroom apartments might be better proportioned. Also not exactly soundproof: conversations from neighbouring appartment can be followed through the walls (luckily we had quiet neighbours).

Review 39:quiet and convenient location, nice scenery with sea and mountain views from roof terrace, bread delivery in the morning, nice swimming pool area and well kept garden

Review 40:Temperamental wifi connection, but it was fine around the pool area......but it really didn't matter as the wifi was free and the holiday was about getting away from it all!

Review 41:Beautiful view of the sea and sunset. Really spacious and well equipped apartment, kitchen, and one of the best showers I've ever had! Fabulous location for touring the island - it's in a quiet spot, but within minutes of road connections to beaches, mountains, local towns and the airport/Santa Cruz. Made to feel very welcome on arrival and loved the service of bread delivered to the apartment every morning (perfect for breakfast and making packed lunches for days hiking in the glorious countryside of La Palma). Thanks for a lovely time.

Review 42:A little too far from the beach.

Review 43:Very well equipped, spacious apartment, with perfect panoramic sea view, big garden and swimming pool. Very quiet. Big bathroom with endless hot water.

Review 44:Some building noise in the afternoons

Review 45:Big apartment, good location, fresh bread every morning

Review 46:Poor directions to find. Wifi poor. Problems with UK credit cards.

Review 47:Excellent facilities, great location.

Review 48:Outlook like from Alcatraz ..
