Reviews for Le Chalet De Thalie
Review 1:It's peaceful location outside bourg st maurice was stunning but meant that it was not walking distance from the main train station. Taxis were around €10 which is not expensive and worth it to get there.
Review 2:The Chalet is very cute and obviously cared for by the owner. My double room had great views, great bathroom, a TV, many sockets and good wifi. The room was immaculate as was the rest of the chalet. This added to a comforting feeling. Breakfast in the morning was fresh, tasty and typically French style. Breads, cereals some fruit and yogurt.
Review 3:Nothing
Review 4:Everything about this place was wonderful. The welcome, setting, the room, breakfast, the terrace. Beautiful 10 minute stroll to the evening restaurant. I'll be back.
Review 5:Beautiful setting surrounded by mountains. Lovely and comfortable room. Made very welcome by the owner. Breakfast good. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 6:This bed and breakfast is very close to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, situated in a lovely traditional style chalet and has great views of all the surrounding mountains. Nathalie is a delightful host, very warm and welcoming. We stayed in a charming room with a small lounge area and access to a balcony where we took a bottle of wine to enjoy the sunset. The room was beautifully decorated with lots of lovely details, bed was very comfortable and en-suite shower room was well equipped. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety and on our first day included chocolate mousse (maybe this is what's included in the 'Full French' breakfast). There is a lovely patio which is used for breakfast in warm weather. Would definitely book a return visit.
Review 7:We loved the fact this beautiful chalet outside the town was so welcoming, the chalet authentic and attention to detail by the owner was amazing. We had a fabulous verandah, saw hens in the garden, the beautiful friendly St. Bernard and looked at mountains all around. One of the truly best decisions we made to book on our alpine trip.
Review 8:Everything to like about this place, great host and just far enough out of Bourg St Mourice to be calm but close enough to walk to for dinner. A great breakfast finished off a fantastic stay
Review 9:There are several downsides that would cause us to look for an alternative in future. The worst aspect is that the toilet is within 1 metre of the bed with only a curtain for privacy. A critical aspect for us was that the wifi modem (Orange Livebox) would allow us to connect and access email (on any of our four devices, but blocked all other internet traffic. All in all this B&B charges more than what is on offer.
Review 10:The best thing about Le Chalet de Thalie is that it is quiet and there is a reasonable restaurant (La Petite Auberge) within a 5 minute drive. The place itself is not particularly attractive. It is an old farmhouse converted into small bedrooms, hidden within a cluster of other buildings, and situated on the fringes of Bourg Saint Maurice. The room is small but opens on to a large communal balcony. The breakfast is good, although fairly basic.
Review 11:Bed was uncomfortable, rolled to middle, the only thing that you could criticise.
Review 12:Beautifully furnished and very friendly and attentive staff. We will be back.
Review 13:The main downside for me was getting there from the main train station - approx. 30min walk at winter time with heavy luggage was not very pleasant experience. It's approximately 5min taxi drive, which initially seemed not to be a problem for us. However, all the taxi drivers whom we showed the destination address refused to give us a lift - too close to drive. On the day of the check-out (one night stay only) I was told by the host that the room we stayed in, was/is more expensive than advertised via booking.com. I did not pay extra but I noticed that she was clearly not happy about it. Breakfast choice was very modest - only baguette and jam ( may have been the result of the "underpaid" room rate online booking glitch).
Review 14:Room was spacious with very comfortable bed and en-suite bathroom with hydro-bath. Possibly the best room, considering BB standards, I have ever stayed in. Friendly and very helpful female host.
Review 15:Nil.
Review 16:Natalie is an accommodating host, who assisted three tired and grubby cyclists by washing clothes and driving us to a recommended restaurant. We were very grateful.
Review 17:a bit tricky to find from the main road, no signals no indoor or covered motorcycle parking
Review 18:warm hospitality, very clean place and good furniture, good breakfast and nice cat and dog
Review 19:Booking cancelled, then reinstated in stifling, full price attic room with no lights. Better they had just cancelled us.
