Reviews for Hotel Les Nevons
Review 1:Shower Rose broken, in need of repair.
Review 2:Very large, comfortable bedroom and bathroom with balcony, overlooking canal. Very good breakfast. Good parking facility within hotel grounds.
Review 3:The hotel is old & dated. Things were broken in our room (toilet didn't flush properly, safe in the room didn't work, closet doors come off the rails). The towels are old, thin & rough. The beds are as hard as a rock - not at all comfortable. Flat pillows. Could be so much better with a bit of money spent on new towels and plush mattress covers.
Review 4:The location is the best thing going for this place. The hotel staff/owners are very accommodating and welcoming. The €9 buffet breakfast is convenient and very good (boiled eggs, cheese, ham, croissants, yogurt, fruit, espresso machine, local jams). Charming grassy back yard with ducks on the river.
Review 5:Very good location within short walking distance to the town and restaurants. It also has its own private car park which has a security barrier. Comfortable and quiet.
Review 6:Not much character in this building
Review 7:Great location, parking, spacious bathroom, bright room, comfy bed, very quiet except for the duckies! nice garden beside the canal.
Review 8:Room very small and we was under the impression that we had booked a river view when we turned up we had a very tiny room overlooking the carpark
Review 9:Location great and staff very helpful
Review 10:Sliding doors in room,no support on wall for shower, safe not attached to wall.Great location for garden by river but but in urgent need of TLC,long grass, just generally tatty with rusty bent over ornaments.Unable to get a drink the lunchtime we were there as receptionist waiting for staff, sorry not difficult to pour 2 X glasses of wine!!!
Review 11:Location very close to great restaurants.Ample parking in a town that is difficult to park in on especially on market days.Great wifi.
Review 12:The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning and wifi worked well. Breakfast was good with meats, cheese, eggs, breads, juice and good coffee. Parking was included.
Review 13:Location. Rooms overlooking river very relaxing and comfortable . Basic hotel but extremely clean and even a little bit charming. Not 'tacky' like most hotels in this price range
Review 14:Nothing
Review 15:Staff very friendly. Needed to print my boarding pass and, although reception lady didn't speak much English, she did what she could and beyond to help me. Green area outside by the river is perfect for a breakfast or even to relax. Room very comfortable, great blackout curtains.
Review 16:Did not enjoy visiting Avignon. Hot, busy, crowded. The Palais du Papes is impressive but the audio tour was old-fashioned and not very engaging for family.
Review 17:Great location close to many restaurants, and convenient safe parking. Two adjoining rooms made family suite. Rooms and hotel are simple but light and clean. The town of Isle sur la Sorgue is pleasant and laid back, and lots of visitor activities are a short drive away. Wonderful family day trip to Les Baux, to visit the illuminated quarries and medieval fort.
Review 18:The hotel decor is a bit dated, and could do with some sprucing up. We Also had a view of the carpark from our window which wasn't great. But there was an outside area we could use to eat and drink which made up for the bad views. I would request a balcony with a view of the garden.
Review 19:Value for money, friendly and accommodating staff, nice outside areas for eating/sitting outside and a good solarium/pool on the roof. Breakfasts are also better than the standard French average. A short Walk to the town centre. We really enjoyed our stay here
Review 20:Charge foe breakfAst. Should have ben included in room rate?? How muchdoes a coffee n croissant cost???
Review 21:Good base to explore town and surrounding area. Rooms standard but cleanand had all facilitates required for short stay.
Review 22:Not a biggy but, not licensed! White wine not to cool!
Review 23:Cleanliness, friendly staff, good parking, superb pool on roof top. Did not have breakfast but, it looked good. Many good restaurants nearby
Review 24:My entire handbag and luggage was stolen in the carpark of LavenderMuseum in Coustellet.Without my mobile phone, I couldn't even call back to my country to cancel my credit cards. The manager (I presume so) offered to let me use the hotel line and even his personal mobile phone for me to cancel my cards. He even directed me to the nearest Gendarmerie (police) to file a report so that I can make a temporary passport. In my moment of distress, with nothing except my car key with me, all I can say is a big "THANK YOU". MERCI BEAUCOUP. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you. PS: the restaurant food is great!
Review 25:Bed, oh why can't European hotels do better with beds/pillows? Who came up with the idea of a toilet separated from the rest of the bathroom?
Review 26:Great location, easy walk into town, large room, nice, good sized balcony, plenty of parking
Review 27:The wifi is not very good and erratic.
Review 28:With its secured parking facility, and close to the restaurants and the main happening in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, this hotel is convenient and with a very competitive price.
Review 29:A personal thing but even though it was mid winter the sheets felt like flannelette and we were too hot. The room looked a bit spartan.
Review 30:Right in the heart of town, free parking, very clean, friendly staff. Very good value for a room with a balcony.
Review 31:Very slow WiFi. Weird smell in room (from heater possibly). Bed/Towels mediocare.
Review 32:Low Price. Free Gated Private Parking. Not too far from city "center"
Review 33:The service from the moment i walked in all the way tilli left was on point. I have got nothing bad to say.. would have love to use the pool tho, it may be winter for them but spring for us (London)
Review 34:It was a nuisance to have to get out of the car each time you wanted to get in or out of the parking space to phone reception to lift the barrier. Building works are occurring on the other side of the parking space and there was a horrendous noise around 8am every morning which quickly stopped but woke us up.
Review 35:The hotel is two minutes walk from the town centre. Off street parking was useful especially on market days. The staff were very obliging. The rooms are functional & clean. The wifi worked beautifully & was free.
Review 36:View from room wasn't great as it looked on to car park.
Review 37:Nice vibe and location. Pleasant terrace on which to enjoy a wine or two. Good price. Friendly staff.
Review 38:Of the two room I had booked, both had very noisy air conditioning. One of the rooms had a terrible smell and the outside door to the balcony was unable to be locked. The breakfast seemed overpriced for what you got.
Review 39:Location to the township was fantastic.
Review 40:There was nothing I didn't like but a potential guest needs to be aware of certain things. 1)There is no restaurant but there are plenty nearby and it does have a bar and serves breakfast. 2)The comfort rooms with balcony overlook the car park, the next grade up overlook the garden. 3)There can be noise from nearby balconies.
Review 41:The hotel just outside the centre of town in a quiet location but a minute's walk from cafés, bars, and restaurants. It has a waterside garden and a swimming pool and sun deck on the roof. The rooms have air conditioning, although it is a bit noisy. There is ample parking and the staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful. Given the area the price is very reasonable.
Review 42:I booked a room for 6 nights for 888 euros($1152). Then cancelled it and booked a room for 4 nights for 315 euros ($400). Apparently the cancellation didn't go through so Jean, the manager, made the decision to charge me for the entire 888 euros even though we called the next day and came for our second reservation. We tried to compromise and offered to pay 1 night penalty but he said NO,NO,NO. He said booking.com was making him and they said not true. PLUS he REBOOKED the room so made almost double the money. No customer service, no public relations, no consideration of hotel guest. Why would Jean, the man in charge, be so unable to see our point of view and not consider a compromise. Ruined my trip to France and Provence spending $1152 for nothing. Then they asked if wanted to buy breakfast!!!
Review 43:Nothing to dislike.
Review 44:Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Nice terrace with view over garden and stream. Roof top pool and sunbathing area. Plentiful parking.
Review 45:Some aspects of the bedroom and toilet were a little "tired", and in need of repair/renovation.
Review 46:Proximity to town centre, good off-street parking, and comfortable bedroom. Wireless facility was appreciated.
Review 47:It would be nice to have a fridge (for the wine!!) and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The second thing was my own fault really - I booked what I thought was the same type of room as last time, but it wasn't - there's a big difference between the 'balcony' and 'terrace' rooms. The 'balcony' room overlooked the car park (not the garden & pretty stream) and the balcony was tiny. The room was also very noisy (people meeting and talking in the carpark & it was over the dining terrace which they were tidying at midnight then setting up in the early hours - very noisy!) so we ended up closing the doors and using the air-con - which was fine, but not as good as last time we stayed as the rooms over the garden were quite quiet. Not really a negative, just one to watch out for.
Review 48:It's a great location, a 2 minute walk into the middle of the town (if you go right, then right again). It's clean and the beds are comfortable. The free on-site parking is perfect. Breakfast looked nice, but we didn't have it as I like going 'into town'. The garden would be nice to sit in if you had time. The pool & area is quite 'basic' but perfectly adequate. The staff are all lovely & were especially brilliant when we needed medical assistance in the middle of the night. This was our second stay there and I would definitely stay again.
Review 49:The hotel is very close to the town centre , so excellent access . It is situated right beside a small stream and nice garden. It has good , safe parking facility .
