Reviews for Hotel Abetos

Review 1:It was a beautiful, idyllic Inn, in a breath-taking setting. The hosts were most gracious, and the very well-appointed room had fantastic views. I could have stayed a month!

Review 2:Overall nothing to dislike.Maybe they should incorporate the breakfast into the price of the room.Cost a bit steep for continental breakfast. We did not take breakfast and it seemed evident that others also went that way.

Review 3:Hotel was very comfortable, good value for money and in a magnificient setting with clear views of Ordessa Monte Perdido National Park,8 km up the road with access to challenging walks

Review 4:Owners does not speak English. Try very little to help. When we came it was 5 degrees Celsius outside but we had to convince them to put the heating on.

Review 5:Very good facility. Nice room very well maintained. Beautiful view when mountent view. Nice breakfast

Review 6:sometimes a smell of gasoline from the window

Review 7:location, quiet place, very good breakfast,, comfortable bed, good service at breakfast and reception, free parking, beau

Review 8:- no heating in the rooms, and in September was quite chilly, so we had to sleep with double blankets - front desk did not speak any english, so it was quite challenging to communicate, but we understood almost everything and we knew some common words in spanish so there were no problems in getting what we wanted :) - slow internet speed

Review 9:- friendly staff - delicious breakfast - breathtaking view from the room - cleanliness - good WiFi signal

Review 10:Nothing. It's a great hotel.

Review 11:We liked everything, the location especially. The hotel is very comfortable and an excellent quality-price deal. The people at the front desk are very nice and helpful. Highly recommended.

Review 12:A very well run and clean hotel. But the common areas are a bit stark. Probably not the ideal place to stay if you are travelling solo. The larger Ordesa Hotel just up the road is very lively and a good place to mingle with other people

Review 13:The room was spacious and welcoming. I had a nice view of the village and valley (make sure you specifically ask if you want a view of the higher mountain range). It is only a short walk into the village of Torla where there are plenty of places to eat and to stock up on essentials.

Review 14:Situated five minutes walking from Torla village and having a large very comfortable bedroom with excellent bathroom facilities it was an ideal place to stay. A very pleasant couple managed the reception and were on hand to help. The 'continental' breakfast had a wide choice of items including 'gluten free' products. We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Review 15:Lack of laundry facilities is a bit of a problem in such an outdoor sport oriented area. The nearest laundromat is in Ainsa, around 40 min drive away.

Review 16:Friendly owners, clean and comfortable in a picturesque location. Good proximity to Ordesa.

Review 17:internet access was not available whilst we were there and would have liked to get a drink at the bar but always the door was shut

Review 18:Lovely position for walking .aNd going into the town. Helpful staff

Review 19:Breakfast is just ok.

Review 20:This is a small, provincial family-run hotel and is a great choice when visiting Torla. The hotel has a stunning view of Mt Perdido and it is worth paying more for a room with a view. Located just outside town (a few minutes walk), it has on site parking which is a big plus because the town is too tiny to accommodate many cars. It's a short drive to the trailheads for the park. The hotel is decorated quaintly but has a modern bath.

Review 21:Our room had a fabulous view up the valley toward the park. Our room was clean and comfortable and the hotel has lots of character. The staff was very nice as was the breakfast buffet.

Review 22:Nothing

Review 23:Fantastic views of Mountains and river from our room.Exceptionally clean, fabulous breakfast and only a 5 minute walk to the village of Torla. The Ordesa National Park is a short drive away with fantastic walks. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Review 24:Nothing about the hotel. Did not manage to find good food in Torla.

Review 25:The room was so spacious and great to relax after walks - super to have a bath! Two windows meant lovely views. Breakfast was very good. The owners were nice and helpful. Very close to National Park,

Review 26:Lovely hotel: incredibly helpful staff gave great restaurant recommendations, stored perishables for us, and when we had to change hiking plans, saved us a room for an extra night as we hiked down the valley. The views are excellent, and the breakfast was the biggest and most diverse of any of place we stayed in Spain.

Review 27:The owner, Ester, could not have been more service oriented. It is way up in the mountains in a little town with about 30 ppl but it is worth the trip up the curvy road to get there. You have to like solitude. Food was outstanding, from breakfast to dinner. Loved it

Review 28:The shower was a bit difficult to operate and the hottest water available weren't hot enough (it reaches only up to 38 degrees). The wifi wasn't completely stable. It requires a short walk to the village (which is annoying in the rain, but otherwise is no problem).

Review 29:Great view and location, very romantic settings. Nice spacious room, a little rustic.

Review 30:Bathroom smelled funny but could be from the water (like a Sulphur smell)

Review 31:Location was an easy walk to town. Staff didn't speak English but were still helpful and friendly

Review 32:I would recommend including the breakfast option in your booking since there aren't as many early morning breakfast options in Torla.

Review 33:The hotel is a little walk from town so has a quiet ambiance with wonderful views of the mountains. It was easy to walk into town for the bus to the park as well as our evening meal.

Review 34:Was my first visit to Torla ,its not far from downtown but has a privilege that it stands alone wonderful view far from crowds, would definitely stay there again

Review 35:Would be great if we could have bought take away breakfast to take onto our hike as we left before breakfast started at 8 am. Not all of the staff speaks English but not a problem really as anyway very friendly and helpful.

Review 36:Location Free parking, wifi Value for money Standard of room Helpful staff

Review 37:Mattress a bit form is the only negative point.

Review 38:The best view and the cleanest of any hotel we have stayed in. Excellent breakfast served by friendly staff. 5 minutes walk from the village of Torla. The best base for exploring the Ordesa national park.

Review 39:Hotel Abetos is a true haven. The rooms are spacious with views to the mountains on both sides if you choose a mountain view room. The grounds and terrace are comfortable and well kept and so relaxing to hang out in. The staff are warm and congenial and make every effort to make your stay a joy. They recommended sights and restaurants, even booking for us when we weren't sure how. No complaints here.

Review 40:Pity there is no bar - drinks in the lovely garden would really add to the experience.

Review 41:Fantastic views, very comfortable rooms and really generous breakfasts, especially if you like cake!

Review 42:Did not serve supper, despite being something like 1/3 mile out of the village (which counts when you've been hiking all day and just want to relax). Also, the beds were distinctly hard and the wifi slightly unreliable.

Review 43:Nice building in beautiful location. Clean Rooms. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfasts.

Review 44:Nothing at all!

Review 45:Location, just outside the beautiful village of Torla, the closest to the Ordesa Natonal Park in the Spanish Pyrenees. Restrained but very helpful and attentive staff. Room was well equipped, clean and of a good size.

Review 46:Beaituful views and setting. Picture perfect alpine hotel. Immaculate and comfortable room. Extremely comfortable beds. Bathroom with views into the national park - great way to start the day. Torla is a beautiful town to base yourself for adventures into Ordessa Park.

Review 47:I can hardly find something to critizise

Review 48:I booked for one night and immediately after having seen my room I prolonged for another four nights. The breakfast is superb and a good start for a days walk in the nearby Ordesa Valley. The room is clean and the people are nice.

Review 49:Fauset in the shower was very complicated to use. Would be nice to have eggs at breakfast and a kettle in the room.

Review 50:This charming hotel was perfect. Nice design inside and outside. Beautiful gardening and . .surrounding. breakfast was very good especially the bread.

Review 51:The hotel was very spacious and had an excellent breakfast included. The location is a short 5 minute stroll from the village itself and is therefore a quite setting. I highly recommend this hotel.

Review 52:Nothing!

Review 53:Really lovely hotel just outside of the town and we had a fantastic view of the mountains from our room. There is no restaurant so we walked into the town which was about a 10 minute stroll and found a very nice place to eat called El Duende. The hotel staff were very friendly and parking was right outside. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Review 54:Fantastic views of the mountains, great breakfast, easy walk into town for choice of restaurants

Review 55:No iron famcilities in room

Review 56:Close to mts and Torla centre

Review 57:Friendly and welcoming staff, cozy clean room with a beautiful view

Review 58:Nothing.

Review 59:Beautiful room with view; very kind staff.

Review 61:Amazing view

Review 62:Perfect hotel in a stunning location. Great breakfast and happy helpful staff.

Review 63:A lovely hotel well run by friendly owners

Review 65:Stunning scenery, conveniently located just outside Torla so easy to access by car

Review 66:Not very atmospheric

Review 67:Top location. Free car parking. Easy to walk to torla resturants at night. Good breakfast

Review 68:Location and breakfast.

Review 69:The beds were too hard

Review 70:The views from the windows, the facility felt like a well cared for, historic park lodge. It was also quiet.

Review 71:View from window was breath-taking

Review 73:Comfy bed, great breakfast, cozy hotel. Everything was lovely and it was the perfect base to explore the Pyrenees. Amazing breakfast spread too!!

Review 74:Poor WiFi.

Review 75:Very good breakfast.

Review 76:Proximity to the park.

Review 77:Great location , not far from the entrance of Ordesa N.P. Very nice building, quiet hotel and helpful staff.

Review 95:too many staff members administrating the breakfast. seems like they are watching you like count how much you eat... it made my appetite gone away out right.

Review 96:location.

Review 97:A tiny bit twee.

Review 98:I see no reason to stay anywhere else. Attentive staff and lovely clean room and bathroom with quality fittings. Awesome view, great location.

Review 99:I would agree with previous reviewers that a kettle and tea making facilities in the room would have been appreciated after a long day hiking. However from our experience in Spain it is not a typical feature.

Review 100:Lovely spacious room and bathroom with wonderful views to the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Review 101:Typical mountain hotel. The room was well equiped and has a nice view. The breakfast was excellent. A lot of choices, bread, fruits, yoghurt, cookies, etc.

Review 102:Mini bar and kettle in the room would have made our stay even more perfect.

Review 103:Views from our room were amazing. Owner offered to collect us from the bus stop however we preferred to take the scenic walk. Shops and restaurants only a ten minute walk away. Very helpful owner. Very comfortable and clean accommodation, would highly recommend.

Review 104:Slightly abrupt attitude of breakfast staff. I requested an alternative to orange juice (I have an allergy to citrus) and was told not possible. Also the fresh fruit selection was minimal.

Review 105:The location, safe parking, lovely reception staff, comfy room.

Review 106:It's some distance from Torla, so you'll need to walk a bit to get food or groceries. The front desk is unmanned often, so I had some concerns about security. When I asked about breakfast, the hotel informed me that I might want to eat in Torla instead. I wasn't sure why this is.

Review 107:I called to inform the hotel that I would be late with check-out because I stayed in the mountains for too long. They were happy to accommodate me and didn't incur extra charges. The hotel was very quiet since it's some distance away from the town of Torla. The interior design was beautiful and the view outside was spectacular.

Review 108:honestly can't think of anything. we had a great stay!

Review 109:very clean with soft fresh towels daily comfortable bed spacious room with lots of storage shower/bath with good water pressure and nice toiletries good breakfast with options free wifi with good reception gorgeous view friendly helpful staff available early and late Free parking very inexpensive for what you get.

Review 110:Best view EVER out all three beautifully wood shuttered windows! MAJESTIC. Felt remote, yet on outskirts of quaint Romantic village. Room and hotel were extremely nice and clean. Wonderful breakfast. In my top 5 places I've ever stayed! LOVED IT!

Review 111:Close to the superb Ordessa National Park. Just outside Torla, but close enough to walk to restaurants and bars means a good sleep. Great views of the mountains from bedroom windows.

Review 112:Perhaps a restaurant would be nice but it is easy to walk into Torla for dinner.

Review 113:The views are amazing, the rooms were comfortable, very good value for money.

Review 114:Friendly staff.comfortable room .great breakfast .close to park . Short walk to town.beautiful view of mountains. Loved waking to the sound of the river.

Review 115:The hotel looked like a castle, only new and with modern comforts. It was situated in a beautiful valley, with snow-capped peaks up the valley, and the gorgeous ancient church and town down the valley. Everywhere were many little details that showed the love the owners have for their property.
