Reviews for Les Manoirs de Tourgéville
Review 1:Beautiful surroundings... Very comfortable establishment. Unfortunately we have only stayed for 12 hrs. We didn't have time to try the SPA and the Restaurant. Next time...
Review 2:Had to enquire at Reception whenever refreshments were required as the lounge/bar was not staffed.
Review 3:Good facilities, lovely ground floor room with access to garden.
Review 4:Quite difficult to find even with a Sat Nav, without one they need to do something about the onroad signage. The rooms in the beehives were some way away from the main hotel building; pleasant enough on a balmy evening but would not be pleasant in the wind or rain having to walk Our evening meal was a bit hit and miss and the staff apparently still under training even though it was mid July.
Review 5:The rooms were comfortable
Review 6:The staff was not very friendly, apart from the staff behind reception and the guy helping us with the luggage. Also, smell in room, sleeping sofa bed for son stayed open during stay and changing sheets were left on top of our made up bed. Probably by accident. We were lucky the weather was nice, but I can imagine walking from the manoir suite to the main building in the cold or rain is not pleasant.
Review 7:The location was great.
Review 8:It was so hot in july that air conditioner was really needed as could not sleep. also not coffee making facitities in the room. The cost of food and Drink was very expensive. £23 euro's each for breakfast. and £56 for a bottle of wine.
Review 9:very clean, friendly helpful staff. the push bikes was really nice to have. lovely quiet place.
Review 10:There was no air conditioning in the rooms and with temperatures of 30*C and just a fan, the room was always to warm - particularly at night, when we didn't get a good night's sleep. We used the swimming pool three times - it was somewhere to cool down- but the pool was very mirky and one day there were no clean pool towels. The staff knew about the problem but in the hour or so that we were at the pool no clean towels materialised. We were not aware of how far the five manors were from the main building - 200 yards the nearest and twice that distance for the furthest. The cost of food was ridiculously expensive (23euros for sandwiches and 8euros for a glass of lemonade) .There were only a choice of two meals on the Menu de Jour and there was a lack of much choice on the a la carte menu. The method of entry and exit to rooms was unusual - turn the handle and hold the key card to the door - and we found it frustrating. We never managed to lock/unlock the door first time and often had to give the door handle a dozen. On the first day we forgot to leave our card out on the door handle and when we returned at 2 pm to the room it had not been serviced. When we asked if it could be serviced , we were asked if we minded waiting until after 5 pm - we said no and it was made up straight away, but not the reaction we expected.
Review 11:The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Set in countryside by with a 15 minute drive of Trouville-sur-mer and Deauville. The staff were firendly.
Review 12:You can't eat anything after 20:50, except of wine and cheese
Review 13:Very nice location, bike rent, awesome breakfast, awesome manor room with a big bath tub, shower and so on.
Review 14:We decided to have the half board option at 65 euro which seemed good value as breakfast alone was 23 euro, but we very disappointed with the standard of the meal considering the restaurant was described as Gastronomic! It was a set menu and all the courses were rather bland. The cheese course was also very poor as it was 3 very small pieces of similar tasting cheese brought to the table already cut on a plate with a salad garnish & a dressing! The wine was also very expensive. However, the breakfast was very good and plentiful.
Review 15:We stayed in one of the manors which was some way from the hotel reception and restaurant, which was not so good as it was raining on the evening of our stay, however, a quick phone call to the front desk and they sent a buggy to collect us and take us to the restaurant which was very much appreciated. Our room was very nice, lovely comfortable big bed and enormous bathroom and shower.
Review 16:Very warm and friendly staff. Great facilities and wonderful dining experience in the 1899 Gastromique Restaurant. Very close to Deauville and Honfleur.
Review 17:The breakfast was a bit overvalued; staff in the gourmet restaurant seemed a bit less helpful.
Review 18:Rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff at the bar were very helpful and made a real effort to cater to a very restricted diet.
Review 19:Everything was perfect, sorry... (fruits and beautiful flowers ordered were there as asked, even the very early check out at 2:00 AM was efficient and friendly), I will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to friends!
Review 20:Comfort, upgrade to a suite, efficient and friendly staff, excellent location, cosy mansions with privacy (really appropriate for romantic couples), good mini bar, general cleanliness, good amenities and modern equipment in the room (good choice of music and tv channels), luxury style, good breakfast, pool and beautiful gardens well maintained, free parking just by your room (the architecture is really unique), nice dedication of staff to make your stay relaxin and comfortable, very good lasting impression of discreet luxury...
Review 21:Rooms were very hot at night which could be a real problem in the summer. Ate in the bar restaurant on the first night (burger and chips) - the menu was extremely limited (oysters, burgers, fish & chips - very little else) & it was nice enough but very pricey.
Review 22:Loved the little round buildings with the rooms & suites. Friends took a suite with private patio area and our room could be opened up to it. Gorgeous central area with tables, chairs, loungers and sculptures
Review 23:The restaurant is a bit soulless. We had two niggles... On our previous visit the fire alarm went off at about 1am which ruined everyone's sleep!! we ordered the special of the day prawn risotto at the bar one evening and the portion size was at best an entree for 26 euros... It was delicious but far too meagre for a meal.
Review 24:Communicating suite worked very well for 2+2. Lovely breakfast, vast selection and eggs cooked to order. Restaurant and bar meals were also good. Pool was very nice. Staff are attentive and very helpful! We have previously stayed at the ferme Saint simeon but have been so disappointed with the service (which is truly awful) and the restaurant we tried this hotel and it didn't disappoint thanks to the wonderful staff and chef!
Review 25:No bad experience BUT this hotel does not have AC, ceiling fans, or window screens. Mosquitos are definitely a problem in the warmer months.
Review 26:Our suite in one of the new pavilions was spacious. A+ bathroom. Breakfast buffet is awesome.
Review 27:Suana should be renovated as the wood was a bit old. Could not connect with the WiFi via phone (great connection on tablet) - possibly only one device can connect to WiFi in the room. No WiFi connection next to the pool.
Review 28:Calm, quiet, relaxing, nice atmosphere, fire place in the lounge, swimming pool with nice view and heated weather. Great food in the lounge (we didn't try the restaurant).
Review 29:Could do with a bit more attention to detail that would bring the hotel from four to five star rating.
Review 30:Beautiful location. Especially good if the visitor is a golfer, biker or equestrian. A less than ten-minute ride to downtown Deauville. Comfortable facilities.
Review 31:Food very expensive, particularly breakfast. Limited choice for dining. Have to drive a few miles to find options.
Review 32:Excellent room, particularly as upgraded to suite. Good ambience.
Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:The hotel is set in lovely grounds with a feeling of space and tranquillity. We had our golden retriever with us and he was made to feel most welcome by the staff. The food in the 1881 restaurant is excellent.
Review 35:No jacuzzi! Outside stairs to room needed a good clean.
Review 36:That feeling of being looked after, due to the thoughtful but un-intrusive attention of the staff and the comfort & luxury of the place itself.
Review 37:For two eighty year olds the stairs in the triplex rooms were quite demanding. Families with young children could with advantage be co-located to minimise noise. Sign posting to the hotel is very poor. .
Review 38:Quality of staff; restaurant and bar excellent; pool delightful;. Surroundings gorgeous.
Review 39:Breakfast expensive long walk from the manor rooms if it is raining and we didn't have a telephone that worked for the 3 days we were there despite repeated requests so no room service pick up from the room or a new hair dryer when the one in the room didn't work !
Review 40:location manor room restaurant dinner
Review 41:Dinner not quite up to the claimed gourmet level. And drinks and food on the expensive side.
Review 42:Lovely location, peaceful - lovely indoor pool, w outdoor access. Lovely breakfast.
Review 43:Very difficult to locate even with Sat Nav. Television caterered solely for the French, except the terrible BBC World News Rooms lacked air-conditioning and windows that opened. Had to leave sliding windows ajar. Some rooms long way from bar/meals. Double rooms accessed from private outside staircase. Elderly will not find this convenient, so ensure when booking you have a ground floor room. Difficult not to eat outside in the evening. It was a bit expensive, but standards reflected these prices.
Review 44:Excellent grounds. Very high class restaurant Excellent staff, very obliging.
Review 45:Four pretty ordinary sandwiches and four drinks cost 105 Euros, which seemed very steep and might have explained the lack of guests in the public areas. It would have been good to have had milk in our room for a hot drink in the morning.
Review 46:The staff were helpful and friendly, the buildings were decorated beautifully (especially in main building). We stayed in one of the 'doughnuts', which had lots of room for two adults and two teenage children and a terrace which was small but felt very private. Deauville was a treat to visit, as was Honfleur. Pool and pool terrace were fantastic too.
Review 47:Great place to unwind. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful restaurant. In fact we didn't need to leave to grounds of the hotel all weekend! Highly recommended.
Review 48:Just a short drive from Deauville this is a secluded but well positioned Hotel and Spa whose staff, food and amenities were all excellent. I am looking forward to our next stay
Review 49:Too expensive, but we were staying in the area for D-Day so this was about all we could find. If you wanted a spa holiday it would be fine, but we paid for lots of facilities we didn't use.
Review 50:Lovely big room and sitting room. Quiet setting.
Review 51:Prices were extremely high for accommodation and fine dining.
Review 52:Feindely staff
Review 53:staff were excellent, attentive very professional
Review 54:breakfast too expensive
Review 55:rooms amenities
Review 56:location , pool, rooms and overall standard of hotel
Review 57:Beautiful setting lovely rooms very relaxing Great area
Review 58:Food not available 24 hrs. More choice needed for breakfast
Review 59:Facilities/accommodation excellent
Review 60:Bicycles are not well maintained
Review 61:Lovely setting and tastefully decorated. Very nice and helpful staff
Review 62:Too corporate -- felt like an offsite corporate venue
Review 63:Well managed and efficient
Review 64:Felt staff favoured certain guests more than others.
Review 65:Great location. Nice rooms.
Review 66:bar prices too high
Review 67:Good location. Efficient and pleasant staff. Food in restaurant excellent if slightly expensive.
Review 68:Super établissement. Nourriture excellente.

Review 80:Choice of food
Review 81:Pleasant staff
Review 82:The Upgrade Was a Lovely Surprise
Review 83:Small selection of room service meals when the restaurant is not appropriate for small kids and no nearby restaurant choices.
Review 84:Clean and comfortable.
Review 85:Only complaint was maid came into bedroom while we were in bed
Review 86:Bed food quality of venue staff

Review 95:no air con, mini bar extortionate and no hot drinks making facilaties
Review 96:excellent location ,and excellent facillaties
Review 97:The complete experience of our stay was beyond expectations. We will certainly visit the hotel again.
Review 98:the hotel is just superb, set in beautiful grounds in the countryside, a tranquil spot for easy relaxing. the staff were very helpful and attentive. our manoir suite was amazing and the outside garden terrace made it just perfect.
Review 99:There was nothing not to like. Perfection in the French countryside.
Review 100:Location and facilities were great. Staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful and everything was possible. A very special hotel.
Review 101:Not old or original but at least the plumbing was good ! No aircon that I could find in the bedroom .
Review 102:nice setting good rooms only 10 mins from Deauville. The staff all seemed to want to help - which included putting the WC football on the cinema screen at Midnight ! Sorry didn't eat there so cant comment
Review 103:The hotel was virtually empty of guests, quiet like a ghost town. In those circumstances it had no atmosphere. It is accepted that little can be done about that when it happens but it drove us out more than we would have wished.
Review 104:The welcome. The outstanding breakfast. The Buildings.
Review 105:- Pool is located in main building; most rooms are not in main building, meanig having to walk outside (in cold & rain) is not convenient especially with young children nor is the lack of proper changing rooms for pool area- Gym area is in open area...... - Price of rooms plus breakfast (EUR 23) is very high as well are the drinks!
Review 106:- Rooms + showers- Restaurant Breakfast (though expensive) - Pool (though not in our building)
Review 107:beautiful resort, very nice duplex apartment with private courtyard, just 5 km from the beaches of Deauville, very nice and efficient staff, excellent restaurant, bar and pool
Review 108:All minor things, but the rooms, althoug very large and comfortable, were also very dark, and there was little daylight coming in. The area of the swimming pool was not well maintained, it was a bit dirty there, and the space was really to hot! It didn't feel like a relaxing healthy area... The food in the restaurant is quite expensive (Deauville prices...).
Review 109:Great location in a beautiful country setting. Large and comfortable room, with great big bed. Friendly and very helpful staff. Also great spa treatments! The Easter Egg Hunt for the children was trully fantastic and only for that we would like to go back next year, seeing al those happy faces!!! Great breakfast (although quite expensive).
Review 110:Great location, only 10min drive to Trouville/Deauville. Gorgeous buildings Normandy style. Lovely breakfast/dining room and great variety at breakfast. Child friendly hotel. Even though the hotel was full you never seemed to notice, quiet and relaxing. Can definately recommend.
Review 111:Diner at restaurant"1899" was really good but a little bit overpriced
Review 112:Location Space in the Suite (upgraded from standard room) Staff was really helpfull and kind Good breakfast Diner at restaurant"1899" was really good with a good staff. Good breakfast
Review 113:No "nordic" bedding. But big and comfortable bed. Carpet should be renewed.
Review 114:Location, very quiet. Landscape. Very nice staff. Nice cuisine and perfect breakfast. Room with big nice open fire place. Perfect for recreation and nice cuisine.
Review 115:Beautiful location in gorgeous country setting. Fantastic staff, comfortable large beds, great facilities. Reception staff lovely, nothing too much trouble, so helpful.
Review 116:Nothing.
Review 117:We have stayed at Les Manoirs on several occasions and it is a superb hotel. Great service, wonderful restaurant, and an overall excellent experience. Far from the maddening crowd of Deauville if you are looking for a quiet, restful stay- but also close enough if you want to experience some of the bustle.
Review 118:Nothing except having to leave
Review 119:A superb hotel in every respect. Beautiful quiet location. First rate, friendly staff. Comfortable, well equipped rooms. Excellent breakfast. Good indoor pool.
Review 120:Some of the staff was a bit "stiff upper lip".
Review 121:The setting in the middle of nature is wonderful! The "connection" to Claude Lelouch added another special feature (although it was by a sheer chance that I learned about it).
Review 122:The room was cold and the heating took an age to come on. There was no hot water and the hotel management kept saying 10 mins but eventully we had to move rooms. No kettle in these rooms only in "other" rooms so water for tea came 1/2 mile away and was cold. Restaurant closed too early and we nearly missed food. For our trouble the staff offered us free breakfast but after demanding to see the manager (who did not come) we were discounted 1/2 room cost.
Review 123:The setting was excellent and we were optomistic we would have an excellent stay The 1899 restuaranr was very good and breakfast again good
Review 124:No warning re mosquitos - located in woods and rained so bitten to death No air-con
Review 125:Restaurant - a surprise and a quality chef Location was isolayted and taxis to Deauville not cheap @ 30 euro
Review 126:It's expensive...but you get what you pay for....so it's a comment rather than a dislike.
Review 127:This place is very special. The staff are welcoming and really try and help and care about their guests (more than normal in France). The environment is very relaxing and very well maintained. The pool was a great first swimming experience for our new baby.
