Reviews for Comfort Hotel Orléans Sud
Review 1:Private carpark with gate but without lights outside & not secured either.
Review 2:5 min drive to CBD (without traffic jam). Close to big shops. Good value for money.
Review 3:Rooms are small and basic, no table/chairs. Ok for a stopover if you don't plan to spend much time there.
Review 4:Staff was friendly. Easy to get into the city by car. Secured parking on site. Wifi worked well. Bed was comfortable. Has an electric kettle.
Review 5:We asked for a disabled access room due to me using a wheelchair, and this was facilitated without problem. The room was very comfortable, clean and was quite luxurious for what we paid.
Review 6:we had to pay when we arrived, even if the money was pre-locked by booking when we made the reservation. so double the money taken from my account, and need to wait 2-3 weeks for the locked money to become available again
Review 7:very clean free wifi secured parking the receptionist waited for us until we arrived, even it was outside the working hours rich breakfast
Review 8:Rooms are (at least the one I got) quite small. The reception is closed til the morning (not a big issue), but I departed early in the morning and I had to leave the room key inside of the room. Quite far from the city centre
Review 9:Wifi and bathroom
Review 10:There was nothing I was not totally satisfied with the hotel.
Review 11:The staff were excellent and were very warm and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Review 12:Hotel amenities were new and room was clean and good comfort, except pillow was too big for us. Breakfast was good thanks to the variety of choice. A better coffee would be appreciated. Safe parking space is a plus. thanks!
Review 13:Nothing to dislike. Out of all the hotels I stayed at over a three week motor biking trip in Europe this was the best by far. Breakfast was fantastic. I will be back here next year again on my way to spain :)
Review 14:It was really hot and there was no AC - just a very noisy fan. Couldn't open the window as it was on the ground floor with the car park right outside. Room very small
Review 15:Bed comfortable
Review 16:The rooms didn't have air con so were really stuffy so eventhough beds were comfy it was too uncomfortable to sleep.. Air con would be good
Review 17:Evening buffet and staff very friendly and accommodating
Review 18:We were in room 8 which was spotlessly presented. However, the overall very positive impression was reduced by a bad smell from the drains in the bathroom.
Review 19:Anne, the receptionist/manager, was outstanding. She welcomed us warmly and took time to explain everything in excellent English. My wife said that she was clearly the best hotel staff member that we have encountered for some years. Well done Anne.
Review 20:Street level room, did not feel safe opening the window and sleeping. Rooms very small with no aircon available felt claustrophobic and with no air in them
Review 21:Staff and breakfast
Review 22:There was no air conditioning and no fan. The rooms, though very well presented, were hot and therefore made sleep difficult.
Review 23:The bed was very comfortable, and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they spoke good English.
Review 24:We ate in the restaurant - buffet style at a cost of €15 per adult and €8 per child. The food was probably the worst I have ever had so very disappointed. Also the lack of air conditioning made the night very restless for us all.
Review 25:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was modern and clean.
Review 26:Room temp a bit hot since no airco. Location (commercial zone) is a bit desolate, however ideally situated for access to highway.
Review 27:Clean room, well equipped, neat and complete. Private parking. Good breakfast!
Review 28:Close to highway but far away from city centre. The rooms are tiny, but fine if you are staying for only one night. For more than one, go someplace else.
Review 29:No airconditioning, leaving a window open at night not an option when on ground floor due to cars (parking) and people next to the window. Breakfast quite pricy for what's being offered (9 euros)
Review 30:Nice welcome at reception. Rooms clean, very good beds. Refurbished (though small) bathroom.
Review 31:The ensuite bathroom was very smelly. Think the drains had blocked. Lemon spray was not really enough.
Review 32:Location great, halfway down France from Calais, and near to a Buffalo Grill.
Review 33:When booking I put in ages of children, both teenagers 13 and 16. I was told we were in a family room with double and two single beds. When we got there the room had double bed and bunk beds. There was also no AC or fans and as this was a ground floor room we could not leave the window open at night. So an uncomfortably warm night was experienced.
Review 34:Room was clean and secure parking on site.
Review 35:Paid a lot of money for a box room with no air conditioning, a bed with a plastic sheet on. So hot had to have window wide open in children's part of room on ground floor. Woken at 5am by refused company next door starting and moving lorries. Breakfast expensive.
Review 36:Have stayed here quite a lot as solo traveller and very much like the staff and hassle free use of WiFi. Unlike other budget hotels it is quiet at night with the guests being on the whole very respectful of each other - which is important whether solo, or travelling with your kids as I did on this occasion.
Review 37:Location was in the middle of a retail park and meant a walk then tram ride into Orleans centre. REALLY difficult to find too - very tucked away!
Review 38:Comfortable beds and effective fans for hot weather.
Review 39:The property is almost impossible to find, even with a GPS.There rroom had no air conditioning and the temperature was in the high 30'sC, making sleeping very uncomfortable. The dining room closed at 9pm, unheard of for France. The breakfast selection was very limited for the price charged.
Review 40:The rom was clean though small. The internet was satisfactory.
Review 41:Very very small rooms Much noise from other guest due to very thin walls/doors. Parking Full in evening. Very hot in rooms and no airco! Due to noise and heat I only slept 3 hours :(
Review 42:Wifi
Review 43:Quite far from Orleans center, so if don't have a car it's not easy to access (but feasible with the tram + walk)
Review 44:Very clean, very comfortable bed, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast!
Review 45:It is in the suburbs but around are 2 restaurants opened till 12 pm,one, La Boucherie, offers a 20% discount for tHe hotel's clients. In the first night it was some problem with the drainage so we haven't water at all. The problem was fixed the second day. If you plan to viSit the Loir Valley all day and come late in the evening it's ok.
Review 46:There was no hot water whatsoever, the shower wasn't even connected up! The doors were banging all night, it was not easy to find, and not what you would expect from a 'comfort inn.'
Review 47:The bed was comfortable, as they are refurbishing this hotel
Review 48:Neither a/c nor ventilation in the room. Window could be opened, but is not to bolt. So on the ground floor there is a risk of sneaking in.
Review 49:Clean room, amiable staff, closed parking (free of charge), fair pricing.
Review 50:Panicked as we were running late and the reception closed at 21:00. Friendly receptionist sent a text with instructions for access to hotel. Even left the wifi code in our room.
Review 51:wifi didn't work in the room, only in the corridor but having read other positive reviews about wifi this must be because I was in the room at the very end of the corridor (22). You need a code to gain access after 9pm which was a worry driving alone to get there (no one to answer the phone if you get lost, poorer security in leaving your bedroom open for you)
Review 52:Clean, modern room, tea & coffee in room, wifi is free, peaceful and safe. Convenient bar / restaurant service until 9pm.
Review 53:They are going through renovations and didn't let us know! It woke us up in the morning and is very loud! No apology or offer of anything.. The location is also in a main road, must have a car!
Review 54:It was clean, free parking and free wifi
Review 55:Be aware of the restaurant pricing. I had a small side salad from the salad bar and was charged €13. For two plates (main & entree) it is €15 but the kitchen had just closed. The salad definitely wasn't worth such a high price and left me feeling ripped off.
Review 56:Helpful staff, clean room, surprisingly comfy bed and pillows - but best of all hassle-free, fastish, WiFi
Review 57:bit industrial due to location; reception only open at specific times (not their problem but we failed to read paperwork!)
Review 58:Accessibility to motorway and tram into Orleans; simple offer but good; security; charming staff
Review 59:Could not connect to WiFi. Staff tried to help. It is a bit outside centre but just off main route through to Paris and South.
Review 60:If you want glamour and quality then go for 4 and 5 star. This hotel gives good but basic accommodation. Rooms have tea and coffee making facilities.
Review 61:A lot of males coming and going throughout the night, knocking on doors. I suspect that some sort of business was going on. Definitely not a place to stay for decent couples.
Review 62:The location being very close to the Expo Centre was however to far out from the city centre to allow for any activities of an evening.
Review 63:The resturant within the Hotel was of a reasonable standard with the breakfast being very good.
Review 64:Travelling without navigation we needed rather an hour to find it, because staff wasn't able to explain the way, even not when we described shops etc. that were just 200m away.
Review 65:Small room, but for a one-night-stay it was ok.
Review 66:Bathroom was adequate size for us (even with 7 month old baby) but some may not like it.
Review 67:Easy quick check in (in English), secure car park, spotlessly clean, modern feeling rooms and bathroom. Easy to find on our route, close to eateries (we only used McDonald's (on foot) and kfc(in car) but there was buffalo grill next door too.
Review 68:when arrived at 2125hrs staff on duty spoke very limited english. had booked double room but given a twin. rooms very small and very outdated, badly in need of a re-vamp.
Review 69:comfortable bed, tea/coffee facility,s in room, but only 1 cardboard cup each
Review 70:location - we came with two little children on our way back from holidays. The place is located among shopping places. it is a very practical place and should be used for this purpose. It was fine for one night
Review 71:cleanness easy access
Review 72:Noisy children in adjoining room, but that was not the hotels fault. Slightly dated decor.
Review 73:Polite and helpful staff. Good choice at buffet breakfast. Secure parking for our car. Nice bathroom and everything worked....so many hotels suffer from broken or poor facilities. Would definitely stay with comfort again.
Review 74:The room was small, especially with a cot, but the free hotel supplied cot was a good size, so no real complaints!
Review 75:This is a good location for an Overnight stop with cheap eating outlets nearby. It is convenient for the autoroute and has free secure parking. We also caught the tram into town giving us a break from the car.
Review 76:Room was very small, room was in need of new décor, children had a great big dehumidifier next to their bed.
Review 77:There was a good choice at breakfast, location was good with easy access to motorway, plenty of restaurants around to eat at evening meal,,
Review 78:Dinner too late for young family. Tiny family room, very squashed. Too hot, although fan was supplied. Air conditioning unit had a split hose, so we didn't use it. In middle of a retail park, not great choice of places to eat after many hours travelling.
Review 79:Breakfast.
Review 80:When we arrived in our room it was so hot in there you could hardly breath. There was one long window to open but you had to close the curtains which stopped any air coming in because you was overlooking the car park and people would of been able to see you laying in bed .
Review 81:The bedroom was really tiny for a family of four, it felt claustrophobic especially considering even with the window open it felt like a sauna. Definitely no value for money!
Review 82:location on a shopping/industrial estate just out of town which means noise from about 6a.m.
Review 83:Rooms ok although short bed length . Restaurant is ok , not fine dining though .Got room late for £34 although the usual 96 euro charge would be shocking value . Free parking .
Review 84:Rooms were extremely small and very stuffy. No air conditioning to speak off and it was in an odd location...a shopping park. Our room had a great view of the waste area for the kitchen.
Review 85:The food good and wholesome for dinner. A cheap hotel for transit. Would not stay there long term.
Review 86:No number on address; Tom-Tom tells me, at the very last junction, to turn right when (as I now know) I need to go left, having been many times before. Why don't so many hotels give a street number? However, nothing else! That's why I keep going back.
Review 87:Secure car parking; closeness to Motorway. Good wi-fi; empathic staff; excellent breakfast. Tend to travel at weekends; Hotel restaurant not open, but the 'Buffalo Grill' (in very easy walking distance) is one of the very best of this chain.
Review 88:No air conditioning on heating unit
Review 89:Bed and choice of pillows was very comfortable. Room size was fine and price was very reasonable. Staff were very nice and helpful
Review 90:Size of room - too small Not clean - dust everywhere No ventilation, couldn't open window so made it suffocatingly hot Maintenance poor No handrail in bath/shower No soap in shower Only one set of towels (not the only ones complaining about this) Lightbulbs not working
Review 91:The restaurant was very good Staff were friendly
Review 92:Rooms was too small. The family room was booked on the basis of 1 double and 2 single beds. We were presented with 2 doubles. Staff put an extra bed in which meant that there was no room left.
Review 93:Room was clean and had everything you expect in a hotel room. Excellent Wifi and good breakfast.
Review 94:Very friendly staff and beautiful triple room with single bed in separate walled area very clean with tea and coffee facilities
Review 95:Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent shower. Helpful staff and expansive breakfast.
Review 96:It was to expensive just for a room, there wasno facilities for food/ice/drinks
Review 97:Clean room, good for children with split room
Review 98:Had to book in by 21.00 and the bar and kitchen closed at 21.00
Review 99:Room was clean and tidy staff helpful good parking good location close to the motorway
Review 100:The receptionist was very friendly and informative. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Good value for money.
Review 101:ok for a stop over
Review 102:tiny room, facilities worked but nothing great
Review 103:nothing
Review 104:All was Ok
Review 105:Stayed here before. Liked it then and liked it 2nd time. Friendly staff and good choice of breakfast.
Review 106:Hard to find
Review 107:Great parking
Review 108:Close to downtown and shopping center
Review 109:It was fine
Review 110:Staff, area and cleanliness
Review 111:Very small bed and room.
Review 112:Good reception
Review 113:Cheap, secure parking, comfortable would go again if in area.
Review 114:The location. The breakfast was poor and the room terribly basic
Review 115:The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant
Review 116:No air con
Review 117:Very friendly staff
Review 118:Parking a little small and cramped, but plenty of space within 40 yards.
Review 119:Value for money, courteous helpful staff. Quiet, comfortable room.
Review 120:De kamer was piepklein en oncomfortabel
Review 121:very helpful, we arrived late but they were so happy to support us.
Review 122:Location and ease of access
Review 123:bar closed at 9pm
Review 124:breakfast was good
Review 125:No aircon and a hot night as a result. Uncomfortable pillows
Review 126:Location was good and the hotel was very clean
Review 127:breakfast could be more selection even for a continental,
Review 128:location great hotel tired breakfast limited
Review 129:No parking space.
Review 130:Arrived at midnight. Text message and organisation for gate and entry was brilliant.
