Reviews for Hostal Carlos V
Review 1:The welcome I recieved at checkin even though I was early was second to none. The room and bathroom were what I needed after a very long days walk on the camino.
Review 2:The wifi was very patchy and indeed could not really be used in the room.
Review 3:The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms and very well-appointed rooms (the water, peanuts and lollies were a nice touch). The staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast is excellent (though it costs an additional 5 euro pp). In addition, Puebla is a beautiful medieval town, well worth a visit (mind you, don't expect to see many people around the place at 5/5.30pm in the height of summer - it is certainly a town to enjoy later in the evening!)
Review 4:The wifi was pretty patchy and often didn't work. Some items on the menu for the adjoining restaurant were a little expensive, but there are lots of options, and many other restaurants in the village as well. For 40 euros/night, I would have liked to have breakfast included.
Review 5:The room I was given is exactly as beautiful, clean and well-decorated as it looks in the photographs. The staff were very helpful and I couldn't have been more comfortable here. Puebla de Sanabria is small, but I can't recommend Carlos V any more.
Review 6:Puebla de Sanabria is a wonderful town with a castle museum high on a hill and an old town. This hotel was perfect, friendly staff and a good restaurant.
Review 7:We took a day's rest while walking the Via de la Plata and enjoyed a wonderful rest. The staff were unfailingly helpful. Our laundry was done. And on the morning of our departure the staff gave us freshly prepared chorizo sandwiches and oranges for our journey. It was such a nice touch and the sandwiches were delicious.
Review 8:Staff went out of their way to try to find accommodation for me in the next town as I was walking the Camino de la Plata and the Alberque in the next town was closed.
Review 9:The hotel was great. Quiet, modernized, adjacent to the old castle villiage. Super cool place to stay!
Review 10:value, location, friendly staff
Review 11:Breakfast not included
Review 12:The place in general was very comfortable
Review 13:LACK OF WIFI SERVICES
Review 14:RUSTIC HOTEL LOCATED IN TOWN-CENTER.
Review 15:Nothing!
Review 16:Location - in the heart of town. Easy to find. Car parking available. Good wifi. Large comfortable room. Small fridge in room which was a bonus.
Review 17:Friendly welcome, spacious room with fresh look and excellent bathroom. Easy parking at opposite side of the road. Good breakfast. Restaurant open all day, no need to wait until 9 pm. Will return, even if the lomo dish for our evening tasted old.
Review 18:Nothing
Review 19:The room was clean and adequately sized for three people. The bathroom was clean and there was shower gel and shampoo plus a razor, toothbrush and toothpaste should you need them. The owners were very friendly and patient with our broken Spanish. There is a restaurant as part of the hostal and the food is very good. The hostal is ideally placed for all the amenities in the town. Would stay again.
Review 20:A pleasant stopover with a very friendly family running the hotel and restaurant. Lovely town for an evening stroll. The room was clean. The evening meal was excellent. A value for money overnight stop.
Review 21:facing the road which is really noisy
Review 22:bedroom, bathroom, shower, spaciousness
Review 23:Everything about this hotel was good. Evening meals were very nice and reasonably priced.
