Reviews for Hôtel Port Haliguen

Review 1:Lack of lifts. Guests required to lug cases up stairs. Some people could find this particularly challenging. There is also a flight of uneven steps at the front entrance which might prove difficult for the elderly, or indeed impossible, for disabled people.

Review 2:Friendly, clean, cosy, good breakfast.

Review 3:A beautiful harbor side location, the Hôtel Port Haliguen offers all modern amenities and gracious comfort in an impeccably clean and attractively renovated historic maritime building. The hotel is removed from the congested and popular downtown area and so offers restfulness and serenity. Yet, it is only minutes by car from the revelry in centre-ville. This is a family-owned hotel and the very friendly proprietors extend themselves in many ways to make sure their guests feel well taken care of. A buffet-style breakfast is offered with croissants, baguette, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, hot chocolate, and a wide selection of coffee and tea. There is no elevator, but the staff is readily available to assist with luggage. The owners really know how to run a first-class operation!

Review 4:Great location overlooking the harbour, helpful staff and great restaurant below and around the corner a fantastic restaurant/creperie (Creperie-Restaurant du Vieux Port). We had to extend our stay for 3 days because of a car problem and the staff were very helpful, calling the garage for updates for me and when we left, they even printed some tickets for Monets garden that I had ordered online.

Review 5:nothing

Review 6:this is a Ibis style hotel, the room was small but functional. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect

Review 7:Room and bathroom a bit on the small side.

Review 8:Location is excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast. At last, a bar of soap in the bathroom! Room light, bright and clean

Review 9:Lots of stairs with no elevator but that was not a problem for us.

Review 10:We liked everything--the helpful and friendly staff, the great view of the harbor, the beach nearby as well as excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Review 11:They had no record of our reservation. Fortunately they had a room. Paid the hotel for the room and breakfast. Want to make there is no double charge. Bob Ehlers

Review 12:Due to its elevated position and no elevator, there is abit of a bag drag to the rooms.

Review 13:Large veranda overlooking the harbor, nice place to have a picnic dinner. Free parking in an area with little free parking.

Review 14:There were no soft pillows, only firm/high pillows- although maybe I didn't look everywhere in the room.

Review 15:Very helpful, very friendly. Clean. New renovations. Charming harbor location.

Review 16:Rooms were a little small, but it was not a major problem.

Review 17:The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. The location is idyllic with plenty of parking in front of the hotel and is only a short distance to the town centre. The independent restaurant beneath the hotel is very good but unfortunately is very expensive, but there are other good value places to eat a few minutes walk away. My wife and I will gladly return to Hotel Port Haliguen in the future and I would highly recommend it as an ideal place to stay.

Review 18:Breakfast isn't value for money

Review 19:Very helpful owner & staff Nice room, modern and very clean Parking outside the hotel Hotel can organise bike hire Nice location

Review 20:There was nothing not to like

Review 21:Exceptionally helpful staff Beautiful, clean, modern hotel.Everything looked brand new. convenient and beautiful location.

Review 22:Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been nice

Review 23:Very comfortable room, excellent buffet breakfast, lovely location with a fabulous (independent) restaurant below

Review 24:The first night, we were put in a standard room with a sea view, but the room was so small that it felt stifling and claustrophobic to be in there. The double bed just had two single duvets, instead of one big duvet. There was hardly any room for our luggage, and the pillows were very hard and over stuffed so uncomfortable to sleep on. Also the decor was "modern" but in my view, lacked originality. The room, from the inside, could have been in any city in the world. However, we asked to move to a more comfortable room, and this was possible for the second night. Our luggage was moved for us, and the new room, was bigger, and breathed more easily. There was a bath as well as a shower, and space for luggage, and a table for use of lap top etc. Also the double bed had a double duvet! Still rock hard uncomfortable pillows!!! Perhaps younger travellers might have not minded the very small room.

Review 25:The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice enough breakfast, with lovely view of the harbour. Second night was quiet, but first night was noisy with revellers late, in the street, and the restaurant below starting up with cleaning and moving furniture at 7.30 am. The point of Quiberon is close by, and is an utterly magical walk early in the morning. So then I didn't mind being disturbed!!!!

Review 26:Nothing at all.

Review 27:We loved everything about this hotel. The location is beautiful, the staff lovely, it is incredibly clean, rental bikes are arranged through the hotel and delivered which is very convenient. We cannot wait to go back !!

Review 28:Rooms on the small side and no wardrobe space.

Review 29:Great view overlooking the harbour. Hotel was very clean. Good breakfast. Lovely staff.

Review 30:A family run Hotel who's attention to detail and service is excellent. The location is perfect for visiting the surrounding area

Review 31:Room a bit small but usual for France

Review 32:lovely location welcoming hosts spotlessly clean

Review 33:Excellent value for money. Well located. Well maintained and clean. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Review 34:The hotel was spotless, the bed was amazingly comfortable and the staff really helpful and friendly. Amazing attention to detail.

Review 35:rooms are tiny

Review 36:Very clean, and recently renovated, great restaurant downstairs

Review 37:Very comfortable. Friendly greeting and good info on local restaurants

Review 38:Just a little noisy in the hallways outside our door.

Review 39:Easy walk to everything and parking was convenient.

Review 40:No elevator

Review 41:Helpful staff modern clean rooms Great restaurant in same building view of harbour

Review 42:poor breakfast, exclusively high-carb, not good value. No mirror in the bedroom.

Review 43:Position

Review 44:No tea/coffee making facility & lack of mirror in bedroom

Review 45:Location,cleanliness,helpful & informative staff

Review 46:Triple room was small.

Review 47:Located out of the main crovde.

Review 48:better WiFi

Review 49:Sea view from the apartment. Very helpful and friendly owners. Aside from giving good information about attractions/restaurants nearby, I had a dental problem and they were very helpful in finding me a dentist in Quiberon. Lots of parking out front and a 1 minute walk to the port and the start of the coastal path system. Also, Quiberon is a nice base for day trips (to Carnac, Locmariaquer, Vannes, Ile Aux Moines, etc.) plus the peninsula itself is also great for exploration.

Review 50:Very small shower, although it was a shower stall, rare in most French hotels, so safe for older folks. Security of hotel.

Review 51:Quite location, near the best restaurant in Quiberon. Comfortable bed.

Review 52:It would be nice to have a lift as there were actually a lot of steps.

Review 53:Nice quiet location overlooking the pleasure boat harbour. Plenty of electric points.

Review 54:we liked everything

Review 55:The location was excellent, right on the harbour. This was the best two star hotel we have stayed in anywhere. The bath/shower room was spotless as was everything else. The staff were to be commended. I fully recommend this hotel to anyone, except those with walking difficulties as it has no lift; if you are still keen make sure you get the lower floor.

Review 56:We missed the cheese and/or meats for breakfast. It was a nice breakfast but with a little effort could be perfect.

Review 57:Very friendly reception at the hotel. Really nice fully renovated hotel at Port Haliguen. Nice and trendy rooms, beautiful bathroom and very comfortable beds.

Review 58:The only very minor negative comment was that the hotel decor was very sparse and almost clinical by design which didn't enhance the atmosphere. Very functional but perhaps to the detriment of any internal character.

Review 59:The location was stunning being right on the harbour. We received a warm welcome and were provided with lots of local information. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very functional with plenty of room. Although not part of the hotel the restaurant underneath was very good.

Review 60:It was a pity that there was no restaurant in the hotel. As both of us are fairly bad climbing steps it was a bit daunting to be confronted by steep uneven steps up to the reception. On way could someone in a wheel chair manage to use the hotel.

Review 61:The staff were very helpful and the room was clean.

Review 62:Th elack of a lift might cause a problem for some as you have to go up steps to the first floor even for the reception. The shower cubicle was rather on the small size.

Review 63:A ckean hotel with very friendly staff. There is a lovely view over the harbour if you have a front room. Port Haliguen is the port de plaisance and lacks decent restaurants but there is a superb one a 10/15 minute walk away

Review 64:For some the lack of a lift might be a problem a you need to walk up a flight of stairs to get to reception. Other than that, was as expected.

Review 65:Quiet location about 5 minutes drive to the main tourist centre. Nice views over the port with basic facilities available - coffee shop, a few restaurants and a small general store. Staff very friendly and helpful with the hotel very clean

Review 66:69 steps from road to top floor. Booked s sea view had to stand at small window to see the view. Room in eaves could not stand in all or small room.

Review 67:Clean . Good bathroom

Review 68:Nothing!

Review 69:Wonderful hotel! Great staff, location is unbeatable!

Review 70:Room a bit on the small side but perfectly adequate

Review 71:Not a chain. Personal service. Location

Review 72:Location, breakfast, staff, bathrooms

Review 73:Friendly, accommodating staff, clean comfortable rooms, newly renovated, good breakfasts, great location overlooking port

Review 74:No lift

Review 75:Sea views.

Review 76:Reception was amazingly helpful with great information for all wishes

Review 77:small room but big bed..
