Reviews for Séjours & Affaires Orléans Jeanne D'Arc

Review 1:Didn't have a proper bed, just a sofa bed but it was reasonably comfy. Poor water pressure in the shower

Review 2:Good internet, large room, plenty of light

Review 3:The toilet seat was really of poor quality

Review 4:The accommodation is as exactly what you pay for if you want a budget spotlessly clean holiday room then that's what you get we will be back next yr

Review 5:No staff, everything automated. A scruffy young man with a clipboard who arrived at 23.30 and demanded to know when I was checking out. Seemed I was the only person staying in the vast complex.

Review 6:room was reasonable.

Review 7:The apartment is very small. There is not toaster, no hair dryer, no bidet, no personal service in case of emergency. I left my purse in the apartment after returning the key, and I had to wait for nearly one hour and nobody alerted the chambermaids that I was waiting at the entrance. Also lucks in cleanliness. Horrible mold around the base of the shower!!! It will cost 4 o 5 Euros to make it right with white silicone antifoungus. Shame on you!

Review 8:The price.

Review 9:Good location, kitchenette facilities, excellent value, first experience with apartment hotel, need to get the code for key pick up if arriving outside of reception hours

Review 10:No breakfast (sunday) and no sign where to find supermarket or boulanger. Bopiler was really hot and gave a lot of heat in the room. We have to sleep whith everything open.

Review 11:Location was OK. Easy to access. No staff.

Review 12:Very tiny room, after opening the sofa bed there was no way of walking to the other side of the room because of it

Review 13:Very close to the center, nice bathroom, kitchen area

Review 14:I would love to have had an air-conditioner. It was stuffy in the room and we had to open the window for the night, and it was very noisy as the hotel is at a main crossroads. The pillows as very thin, so it's better to take two at once.

Review 15:The hotel is very centrally located, there's a Carrefour shoponly 3 minutes walk away. And you can see the Cathedral from the windows, we loved that. The room was spacios and clean, there was a kitchenette so we could cook our food there. I wish we had had a coffee maker though but that's optional. The Internet connection was good. And we were checked in as soon as we arrived at around 11 am. A nice detail.

Review 16:Arriving Sunday hotel is unstaffed so you have to rely on a keycode for entry and another code to room key box...ours was not there! which meant few traumatic moments and a phone call..the guy who turned up was totally morose and unapologetic

Review 17:Excellent location close to centre, easy parking

Review 18:Very friendly and welcoming hosts; immediately offered to let us take our bikes to the room and put them on the balcony; excellent location in the city

Review 19:This is actually a blockhouse with typical french 'studios' . so there is no stuff in the evening and on weekends. I had to leave my apartment at 11a.m. on Saturday but there was no place to leave my laggage because there was no one at the hotel!!!! So I had to change my tickets and to leave oroean at 12.00 instead of 17.00

Review 20:My appartement was well equipped. Not far from the city center and the railway station

Review 21:Room 214 has too much furniture, you can't move!! Need to make clear where to drop off as on busy road and where to park.

Review 22:Easy check in and simple, clean accommodation 10 mins walk from attractions.

Review 23:The location was a little removed from the train station....and I was carrying bags on a hot day. They can't control the weather though :) I was so pleased with my stay! It was great!

Review 24:Incredibly nice staff (Ashton?) in particular was great. So nice and pleasant. The kitchen was small but had everything you would need. I was so happy there! Would recommend S&J to everyone!

Review 25:Only 1 bath towel provided for 2 people. Basic kitchen and cooking facilities.

Review 26:Sofabed was clean and comfortable. Easy access to public transport and places of interest within walking distance.

Review 27:Only one towel for two persons. Noisy. Accommodation on main road should be double glazed. There is no hotel parking as advertised. A public car park is about about 200 meters from the enterance. Suit cases have to be lugged. The worst place where we stayed on this trip.

Review 28:The bed was clean. Staff was pleasant.

Review 29:would have appreciated a few cleaning materials as standard ie washing up liquid and clean cloths and a teatowel or two as it is a self catering studio I had to buy all these to leave as found - cleaning service not available over weekend so not an option

Review 30:spotlessly clean and very close to centreville -less than 5mins walk to cathedral and the ancient area with all the bars and restaurants easy to find as well and loads of parking nearby-

Review 31:sofa bed was not quite as comfortable as a regular bed and when it was up it was almost impossible to get round it in the room.

Review 32:Great location, clean, friendly. Good to have a kitchenette.

Review 33:Although free parking it is public parking. Not secure. Not visible from room. Possible bed bugs. My wife woke up with many bites on legs. Situated adjacent to very busy main road with large sodium orange lights. Shutters not effective.

Review 34:Location to city centre and price. Friendly staff on arrival and very helpful. Bathroom and kitchen facilities good. Toiletries included. Nice touch.

Review 35:Everything was fine.

Review 36:We used this residence on our journey to and from Port Grimaud. The facilities are basic but sufficient for an overnight stop. As we were arriving after 7pm we were given the code for the front door and information where to find our key. No problem with doing this. If we had had a problem a telephone number was available for any help/information required.

Review 37:poorly signposted, therefore difficult to find. no staff around to help advise how to get our room key. our security code did not work. another couple staying there helped us. there was no contact number for assistance.

Review 38:room was well set out, bed comfortable and the hotel set close to the centre of the city

Review 39:Promises parking but it turns out this means that if you can find a parking place in the public lot behind it you may have free parking; the room was tiny and cramped and not comfortable; the bathroom was dirty and the place was generally unkempt; the staff was peremptory. We have stayed in similar hotels (Appart City in Amiens) that are well-taken care of and inviting.

Review 40:The breakfast was ok

Review 41:Noisy doors and bed, complicated procedure with the key if you don't check your emails, no access to the garage with the elevator, no reply to my message related to safely store my bicycle, only an answering machine at the Urgency phone number (which I called because the reception was closed and didn't know how to get my key)

Review 42:Close to city centre, good equipped kitchen

Review 43:We came in a sunday evening and we had some problems with the key'sfounding, but it was our fault, there were very clear explained into the mail how to proceed. The room was too small for me. The windows were not clean.

Review 44:I always like when I have a kitchen.

Review 45:noisy bed, no hairdryer, wobbly table, no kettle, terribly scratched frying pan, entrance not easy to find (it's a massive square building with lots of entrances)

Review 46:close to town centre, city bike nearby, lots of parking space, quiet

Review 47:I found it difficult to find, and was disappointed there was not complimentary coffee and tea in the room.

Review 48:It was quiet, an the staff were INCREDIBLY helpful.

Review 49:As usual this kind of hotels don't offer the daily cleaning room.

Review 50:the room was big enough for me and my son. we were able to park our bikes directly in the room. There is a small cooking area with microwave oven and fridge, very usefull

Review 51:Well placed. Very clean. Very nice staff. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. He agreed to let us leave our luggage in the room after check-out, and he brought it to us in the evening, though it was on his day-off. Nicely appreciated !

Review 52:The sejours & affairs is a nice place to stay for some nights. We had a balcoon and enough space for storing our belongings. Centrally localized it is now problem to walk into the city and visit the historical places as well as the shopping there. We loved it.

Review 53:Parking was not on site as we thought. However, 6 euros gave us secure overnight parking under the building. No airconditioning, however, they lent us a fan which helped.

Review 54:Location. 3rd floor views of Cathedral. Security good. Helpful staff. Clean overall.

Review 55:Nothing in consider with the price.

Review 56:Quiet and comfortable though small and compact in the room size. Utensils for cooking and bath room shower are good. Though the location is quite far from the central, the walking distance is acceptable. A carrefour (supermarket) is near to the hotel so that food is avaliable to purchase, except Sunday afternoon. Staff are helpful and polite in manner.

Review 57:the room was clean and comfortable with easy access to city centre and free accessible car parking .it did exactly what it said it would do and was excellent value for money .staff were polite and helpful -well done all round !

Review 58:Great central location, well priced. Ideal for exploring Orleans.

Review 59:Lack of cleaning the room and changing sheets. No checking of utilities like tissues

Review 60:Clean room, good place to stay. For one person it was big enough. There was a double bed/bank, that filled the whole room.

Review 61:It was all good

Review 62:Very convenient and if we had realised the factilities available we could have had our own catering as well which is good.

Review 63:It was very warm, and not overly clean

Review 64:Cheap and reasonable location

Review 65:Lack of pillows

Review 66:Nice and clean

Review 67:Apartment

Review 68:Old Town

Review 69:Bed was too small No one there when I arrived. The appartment entrance was all locked up.

Review 70:Location was ok. Clean Wifi good.

Review 71:The location and the staff. Have a fab time and will book again very soon.

Review 72:free wi-fi and great hard mattress with ability to cook

Review 73:Kitchen OK for a night or two only

Review 74:We liked the location and the ease of booking in without reception being open.

Review 75:Nothing

Review 76:For a short stay it was very good with easy access to the town centre and overnight parking.

Review 77:Everything

Review 78:Location was great...5-10 minutes from the center, 5 minutes from the river.

Review 79:Poor signage for hotel. Small budget rooms Very hot. Lack of air con or fans

Review 80:Location and very helpful staff. Price. Very good value

Review 81:No breakfast at weekends -

Review 82:Basic and clean

Review 83:The room is very hot, not have air-condition.

Review 84:Very mouldy and broken shower, we have had much better for a lot less

Review 85:Location ..helpful staff

Review 86:Parking, central location,

Review 87:Late opening of breakfast room. No hot water for tea drinkers in breakfast room. No electric kettles in bedroom for coffee or tea making.

Review 88:Very hot weather so as no air conditioning had to have window open during the night , very very noisy most of the night with heavy traffic .

Review 89:Reasonably central to centre . Quite well equipped for small studio apartment

Review 90:The hotel was far to basic. The rooms were suposed to have minimum kiychen facilities. They did not. A kttle should bein every room it was not. The breakfast facilities were very sparse. The sign on the room said the breakfast room said it was available from 7am. The staff member did not turn up until dead on seven. No hot water. Guest were expected to us microwave to heat water for tea, most unsatisfactory. star rating may be *** regards, will never use this facility again

Review 91:Gaining entry a nightmare, I hadn't realised the entry code was an attachment so unable to download outside the appts, had to wait for another guest to arrive. The phone number goes straight to ansaphone. Parking a nightmare.

Review 92:Served a purpose whilst en route.

Review 93:the appartment was very bare and basic, the bed settes are not very comfortable

Review 94:Free public car parking, helpful out of hours staff, dog friendly, walk into orleans

Review 95:Dirty cutlery in kitchenette. No proper bed - only a fold-out bedsettee. They are ambiguous about their provision of parking: there isnone except for free public parking 200 metres away, which is totallyfull during business hours.

Review 96:Close enough to walk to historic centre. Facilities ok. Friendlyreception staff, except they offered no instruction about where to leavekey on checking out (reception was closed Saturday morning!).

Review 97:Although kitchen equipment is provided there is scarcely room to prepare a meal, so the kitchen is more suited to heating up food than preparing it. It's also rather dodgy, with the the electric kettle and electric plaques right by the sink! The bathroom could be cleaner and updated, but it was OK.

Review 98:The residence is located near the cathedral, so a nice area and easy walk down to the reiver. Parking is convenient (and free) just behind the building, There is an elevator, which is handy. Comfy beds and a warm room, with a balcony (but no view, except onto other concrete boxes.)

Review 99:As we over-knighted (sic) Saturday into Sunday there were no staff in evidence nor breakfast. My wife has a mobility problem, so the distance from the free carpark to hotel was noticeable. A street map of Orleans would have been helpful together with public transport information.

Review 100:Honest, no frills accommodation at a very keen price. Good free carpark. Clever bed!

Review 101:- You should be aware that this is a student residence, not a real hotel. Our room was next to a noisy student group. We could hear their conversations during the night.. - cleanliness: a disaster - there was a red stain on one of the towels and mold in the shower - cigarette smell in the bathroom

Review 102:Nothing really a part the location (walking distance to the city centre)

Review 103:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Good location for the city centre. Wide good most of the time. Parking at rear was secure and free

Review 104:the problem with Wifi, too complicate for me as I didn't have a cellphone. Result: I couldn't use my computer and work.

Review 105:the location in the center, all availabilities like restaurants, theater, shopping... , the studio itself and the staff very hepfull and friendly.

Review 106:Nothing - there was absolutely nothing I didn't like - I was also very kindly shown by a very kind member of staff exactly where the cathedral is from the hotel - literally in eye shot about fifty paces from the entrance -

Review 107:The staff were incredibly helpful (unlike those at La Bonne Famille in Jumieges the following night who were atrocious) - the location brilliant, the apartment very neatly designed, the sofa bed easy to operate and very comfortable - my daughter and I usually stay in inexpensive hotels on the edge of Orleans - with the free parking very nearby we will definitely stay here from now on ! Fabulous place ! 100% for a very good place to stay on a pretty low budget - I highly recommend this aparthotel !!

Review 108:The hallway looks more one nursery than one hotel.

Review 109:Staff is helpful, parking underground is secure and cheap, center town is10 minutes straight away by walking. The view from the window was not thetop but gets enough beamed if sunny. The interior studio matches ,more orless ,what described on the web site if not the parquet floor who mayrattle at about the occupant.

Review 110:The room was rather small for anything more than a short stay. No satellite connection. Office is rarely staffed. It was fortunate that we had a mobile as on arrival there was no one available to give us a key. This needs to be improved.

Review 111:The room was well equipped for a longer stay with cooking facilities, the pricing was very good and the location easily reached from the rail station.

Review 112:Could be difficult if you arrived after their designated hours, as the lifts, parking, and access arrangements are quite 'complicated'? Not really a 'hotel', more an apartment complex, which makes it not very 'obvious' to find.

Review 113:Convenient for City. Staff very helpful.

Review 114:Underground parking was closed during our stay

Review 115:Clean room, not too small and soundproof. Small kitchen with fridge make it possible to make a meal in the evening.

Review 116:that there's no one at the reception at the "normal hotel times", like a saturday after 12pm, but they are very kind on receiving us out of time when we asked for.

Review 117:that we have our own apartment with the possibility to cook, to enter anytime, it really felt that we're living there.

Review 118:No staff were in reception on our arrival so had to make phone calls to find out how to access keys. The room was so hot and in order to have the window open we had to leave the blinds up which meant our window which was full length gave us no privacy as it was in a road. When the studio bed was open there was no space to walk around it I had to climb over my sleeping husband when I needed the bathroom

Review 119:The location

Review 120:Little room area with folding sofa.

Review 121:Good to stay for one night for Orleans siteseeing. Close to the historical center of Orleans, 20 minutes by walk. Free public parking in 200 meters behind the hotel building. Draw attention if you will plan to arrive after 18-00, you need in passcode for hotel's door and safe for obtain key from you room. Fortunately hotel's staff sent detailed instruction for us by email.

Review 122:No one available, could not get into room. Could not enter, pin notworking. A guest let us in, or we would have been in trouble. Could notget keys from safe. Had to get another guest to pen safe.the wholefiasco was a disaster. We are 2 senior citizens who found the wholething very stressful.

Review 123:The internet was turned off when the staff left on december 24th :(

Review 124:the Cathedral is just a 15 minutes walk from the hotel, the train station is around 20 minutes.

Review 125:Cups had solid coffee//sugar? Inthem x2. No parking internally ifnot stopping for a week! Lack of available parking means car is lefton public space, with no solid surface, and a long trudge with bagsand cases.

Review 126:Location, self contained.

Review 127:Luckily we arrived when the staff was still there. They are renovating and the room reserved for us was full of furniture and junk. So we had to get another room. The rooms are very small and the studios have a couch bed. We were just passing through, so for one night it's okay.

Review 128:It was in walking distance of the city and there was plenty of parking down the street from the hotel. However, the staff never told us how close we were to the center so we walked further than necessary.

Review 129:It felt impersonal. There was no reception staff even though I arrived before 6 o'clock (the e-mail you receive says there're no one after 6 but explains clearly how to get your key). Sunday morning the breakfast room wasn't open (or it was just me). I would have eaten in town anyway. Still no staff around. The thing that annoyed me was the fact that when I got my key the payment had already been made so I found the bill with the key, so there was no option to pay cash or use a different card. The location is not the best, you're going further away from the city centre and train station just to have to come back if you want to visit Orleans.

Review 130:A nice student accommodation just off the city centre. Clean and quiet (if your room is overlooking the inner courtyard). Comfortable bed and good TV channel choice. More than enough space for cooking and personal use of the little kichenette. Just a word of advice....mind the tourist trap House of Joanna D'Arc. 4 euro for 15 min film and nothing else.

Review 131:For the price, I think it is a little bit expensive to stay only 1 night, comparing to the monthly rental.

Review 132:It is really designed for a long staying, the room is equiped with kitchen and all the cooking stuff. I feel just like living in my room.
