Review 1：Nothing other than a Monday night is difficult to find somewhere to eat but the hotel owner was most helpful.
Review 2：The location was perfect in a quiet street with free parking opposite. The family who run this hotel were friendly nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good value with plenty of choice. The room was clean as was the bathroom and the hotel was blissfully quiet.
Review 3：Great location. The friendliness and enthusiasm of the staff was excellent. The breakfast was great and my children loved the whole experience. Although the rooms are a little tired ours was clean and very comfortable. We stayed for a few nights en-route to the South of France and I slept well knowing my car (and full roof box) were safe in the secure car park.
Review 4：The only thing I can think of, is that we had a room up stairs around the court yard area, and carpet on the stairs is a bit worn and is a bit of a put of on your first visit, but once you get to your room all is excellent
Review 5：Great place to stay, has every thing you need, just a few meters from the beach, a mass of restraunts and bars to chose from in the evening which is within a short walking distance,very helpfull staff and very accommodating, liked the secure garage parking
Review 6：Without the expensive hotel parking, it is difficult to find a parkingspace. All spaces close to the Hotel cost about 10 eur/ Day. TheHotel is not really suitable for families with children as (at leastsome) rooms are not well sound insulated and any noise will disturbother guests. The hotel owner or manager was also very rude to us whenwe decided not to eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant but to provideour own breakfast and eat it in the courtyard. So if you don't wantto pay for the breakfast at the hotel you must go and eat elsewhere!There are however enough bakeries etc close by.

Review 8：The proprietor's unecessarily hostile manner in informing us we could not eat at the patio tables as guests who had paid for the hotel's breakfast would be able to see us from the dining room was uncalled for. The extremely thin walls in the hotel meant that everything in surrounding rooms could be heard...and ensuring a five and seven year old spoke in whispers only for the 5 days of our stay was draining. The cramped room and differing lengths of the beds meant that all four of us at one stage or another ended up bashing our feet against the legs of one of the beds. My 7 year old ended up with a large gash in her foot as a result. There was also nowhere to hang anything to dry (a bit of a problem after a day at the beach). All in all, although the location might make it an acceptable choice for a peace loving solitary traveller or couple, I would not recommend it as somewhere for families.

Review 11：The hotel is in an excellent location for both the beach and the town. It is not a luxury establishment, but it is a decent basic small hotel, with a good breakfast.
Review 12：Small beds (140cm to sleep 2 people, requested 2 singles 90cm, but request refused). Expensive breakfast - 6.50E for children, 10.50E adults. We went to the local boulangerie 2 minutes away and bought croissants for 70c each...

Review 15：Ideally located very close to the beach. The hotel has parking facilities, which is very convenient (reservations have to be made in advance). The rooms are a bit small, but clean and offer good value for money. Very friendly staff.
Review 16：The only downside for me was that I asked for a patio room because I thought it would be good to allow our 7 year old a bit of outdoor space. We got a patio room but it was on the first floor which meant we couldn't really make us of the patio. If you want to make the most of the beautiful patio, state that you would like a groundfloor patio room when booking. And the shower seemed to have a mind of its own regarding temperature control.

The courtyard with its beautiful plants and peaceful setting was a real plus for sitting in and relaxing in, and eating take-away lunch etc. We would use the hotel again.
Review 42：The problem with all hotels, if not actually on the promenade, at Les Sables is the difficult one way system in the town. This might be improved if a simpler large scale map was provided by the hotel. It is not the fault of the hotel but they might improve the information themselves

Review 44：We had a wonderful stay at Les Hirondelles. The owners and their staffwere very nice and accomodating. They have one of the most comfortablebedding that we encounter in our trip (we are on the road for 7 monthsnow). The room was a bit small for two adults and two children of 6 and9, but we took advantage of the garden very well maintain, with longchairs, umbrellas, tables and chairs with beautiful flowers surroundingthe area. We had our breakfasts and some of the lunches there. Located 2minutes walk to the center of the beach, where the kids attented le Clubdes Aiglons all week (also thumbs up!) it was very easy to come and go.There is no question about it, we will be back if we visit Les Sablesd'Olonne again.

Review 46：The host and hostess were extremely friendly and great company. They greeted us well and we had a super evening with them in their bar. The free wifi is also excellent. More places are now offering this facility. A necessity these days of connectivity.
Review 47：The Hotel was ideally situated within two minutes of the beach and town centre. We had a patio room which was bright and airy and although the bathroom was small it was perfectly adequate. The welcome and service from the owner was excellent. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast buffet and we were offered additional rolls and pastries every day. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
Review 48：This is a well positioned hotel for the sea front and the port andshopping streets are only a few minutes walk away. The rooms here wereexcellent for our party of seven adults, one infant and one baby. Verygood bathroom and shower facilities. Very friendly staff and thebreakfast was excellent value. The private enclosed parking was onestreet away and good value.
Review 49：Cheap and cheerful hotel and the staff were excellent with secure garage parking provided free for our motorbikes. No complaints it was exactly what we thought it would be.
Review 50：The official hotel parking was a short walk away so not ideal for anyoneof restrcited mobility. (We managed to park in public parking areaopposite the hotel). Also the entrance to the hotel was up a very steepflight of steps. The alternative access we were offered avoided thesteps but was a door into the courtyard from a steep alleyway to theside of the building with no vehicular access - so once again this waspotentially an obstacle for anyone disabled.
