Reviews for Hotel Napoleon

Review 1:There's no elevator in the hotel so maybe that's a bit complicated if you carry a lot of luggage or if you're going with kids.

Review 2:Great location in city centre. Quite calm and there's a parking just 1 min away by car. Everything was clean. Perfect place to visit the Augustus monument and to have an amazing view of Monaco

Review 3:The hallways had motion sensors on the lights that did not work properly and we had to walk in almost complete darkness to get to our room.

Review 4:Loved how friendly and helpful the staff was. We liked the location and enjoyed our walk around the town to the dramatic roman monument and the stunning views of Monaco below us. We were glad to have a room facing the back of the building, as the front rooms are over the very busy road

Review 5:Didn't like to wait outside in cold for 1 hours somebody to open the door and get to my room .... Hotel have 24/7 self check in sistem but no working so what you need to do is book with them and wait outside for somebody who already check in and when they go in or out then you can go to your room

Review 6:Excellent location for monico, secure parking 5 mins walk, some confusion when we booked in and beds weren't made, but very apologetic. Typical French breakfast - would stay again.

Review 7:Can't think of anything!

Review 8:Great location for us to go to Monaco, amazing view, very friendly helpful staff for us who where there for the firat time.

Review 9:Choice of restaurants, local history (Augustus Trophy & museum), scenic old town, fantastic views. Cheap and scenic bus ride to Monaco (25 minutes).

Review 10:Very difficult to find a place to park. We ended up parking about 1km away. We asked for a quiet room, but had one overlooking the main street (with heavy traffic) & opposite the town hall, which had 2 clocks which chimed (one after the other!) until late in the evening & from early in the morning. The food in the hotel restaurant was mediocre.

Review 11:Good beds & well-equipped bathroom.

Review 12:No elevator (but then I am lazy and unfit!). Mosquitoes!! (but not the Hotel's fault). Difficulty to park on arrival, which did not improve during my stay, once again not the fault of the Hotel.

Review 13:Pleasant friendly atmosphere. Good location in the centre of the village. Quiet room.

Review 14:The lovely village feel even though it is not far from Monaco.staff were very friendly. Facilities were good and property nice and clean. Close bye was an excellent restaurant with great views. All in all very good value for money and I would be happy to recommend the property to others.

Review 15:Bad smell in the room Old building with old furnitures, jarring floor, needs renovation. Wifi did not work all time Very difficult to find a parking place, and we had to pay for it.

Review 16:The hotel is close to Monte Carlo, 7 km only. Many small shops and restaurants nearby.

Review 17:Good location in the town. Friendly service. Typical 3 star. No luxuries. But basic stuff is there. Cleanliness was acceptable to me but ifor my gf - who was not with me - it woukd no doubt have been an issue. Overall ok experience.

Review 18:the hotel is on a busy road

Review 19:The friendly staff

Review 20:Gap between doublebed

Review 21:Free parking Good staff Nice bathroom

Review 22:The hotel is dated and tired. In need of renovation

Review 23:Good staff

Review 24:Charged twice for our stay!! Paid cash on check out and also had my debit card charged.

Review 25:problem with parking, WIFI, didnt work, ants in room

Review 26:lokacion ok,

Review 27:Don't like the hotel, dirty ,smells of toilets, old ,horrible conditions

Review 28:The staff

Review 29:Clean and friendly staff great location

Review 30:2nd story no elevator

Review 31:Location, view of the city hall clock from the room (bed)

Review 32:The breakfast was a bit pricey for what you got.

Review 33:The staff were always friendly and very helpful.

Review 34:Motorcycle traveler friendly

Review 35:Very friendly staff, excellent location close to Monaco. Rooms are clean and nice, tasty breakfast.

Review 36:Buses to monaco only every two hours on weekend and don't run late. Not as convenient as I had expected for the race. I paid a fortune for rooms on race weekend but hadn't noticed their special rates when I booked so felt a bit hard done by.

Review 37:Despite closing early on Sunday the manager was prepared to let me call him on at his home and return to allow me to collect my bags (I had been to the Grand Prix). Very accommodating. Great food and lovely little town with great views.

Review 38:Taxi to Monaco 40 euro each time, buses efficient but infrequentThe mosquitoes in the room !!

Review 39:La Turbie very nice village and hotel close to some nice restaurants

Review 40:Breakfast menu limited but adequate. Great coffee machine though. Surprising lack of souvenir shops ! ! Restaurant closed on Sunday night.

Review 41:Located in center of pretty La Turbie which overlooks Monaco, this hotel is convenient and within walking distance of restaurants and patisseries. Parking is difficult. There are 2 car parks within a minute's walk. If very lucky, there are a few pay and display places opposite. We were there for 4 days and always found somewhere, eventually. Just be prepared.

Review 42:The hotel was situated in the small village of La Turbie which offered a selection of restaurants, bars, bakeries, tourist information, mini supermarket and ATMs all within a stone's throw of the hotel. Monte Carlo was a short drive away as was Nice and the Italian border.

Review 43:Way to expensive for a 3 star hotel. No wifi in rooms. TV in rooms, most station, good stations don't work, nothing in English except BBC. Fire alarm went off at 7am, because no one is there at night it took them a good 20min to switch it off. Woke everyone up.

Review 44:Not much.

Review 45:- no internet in the room, - poor breakfast, - very unfriendly staff, I have never met an unpleasant staff like this! - they should better inform their guests about problem with parking car in the city center to avoid many problems, - manager does not speak English!

Review 46:Wifi is below par! Only works in the lobby, and sometimes very weak in the hallway. And no wired internet either. Mosquitoes in the rooms. Keep the doors and windows closed. But still they came in.

Review 47:Excellent value for the money! We stayed seven nights with rooms both facing street and at back. A beautiful place to stay at, La Turbie, I will come back. Clean and tidy. Good rooms with ac. Good beds. Cold breakfast is OK for 8€. Breakfast was promised 7am at weekdays but was often 15 minutes late. The hotel is weakly manned, reception closed at nights. The restaurant seem to not be up to speed, few guests. Rooms facing the street has beautiful view, except in the middle of the building where the town hall on the other side is blocking. There is a bell on the town hall that tolls every half hour between 7am to 10pm. Traffic and street noise is low during night. No problem sleeping. Rooms at back has limited view but are very quiet. Parking may require some time to find. It is possible to park everywhere at nights but it can be full, but we managed for seven nights to find a spot, just be patient.

Review 48:1. There is only public parking. If you are lucky will find place to park otherwiser will have to circle until someone else frees; 2. There is no elevator for your heavy luggage;

Review 49:Very close to Monaco.

Review 50:The strong bad smell, specially at the reception and in our toilet. The value for money is not good: we were expecting better.

Review 51:We chose the hotel because of its location close to Monaco.

Review 52:The workers not friendly , no parking place , no internet , we makereservatin with booking and from description from that hotel was manyfalsch optionen , I dont recomand at nobody

Review 53:Was in the near of Monte Carlo

Review 54:Wifi not in room, but in lobby. (I shouldnt be complaining about this)

Review 55:Right there in the middle of La Turbie intersection. The room is large and they allowed me to store my bicycle in it. I was able to get a bucket of ice. I will stay here again...hopefully on the last night of a cycle tour ending in Nice.

Review 56:Parking difficult to find during day when number of visitors in La Turbie are high

Review 57:Located in center of picturesque La Turbie which overlooks Monaco, this hotel had every convenience within walking distance including restaurants, patisserie, tourist sites, etc.

Review 58:Shame we didn't have a kettle to enjoy a hot drink on our balcony.

Review 59:We enjoyed our stay here, visiting the old town and dropping down 7km to Monaco for a visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi not in room but fine to use in lounge. Free parking nearby.

Review 60:I had a booking.com problem: distance from Monaco was mentioned as 3 km. No mention that this was straight distance. By taxi it was 15! km up in the mountains and 40 Euros apart. Not good!

Review 61:Difficult to find something not to like, if I would need to say something, than that would be there is no parking at the hotel, although free parkings not very far from the hotel. Sometimes a bit of searching, but never found ourselves without a spot.

Review 62:Great hotel, very dog and baby friendly. Staff very helpfull and flexible. WIFI even in the bedrooms. Great value for money

Review 63:Although when booking it said that free wifi was available in the room the connection was weak and had to stay in reception to use wifi. Most of the time there was a bad odor in the reception and hall way.

Review 64:The hotel is situated in a very small beautiful quaint village. It is very easy to get to Monaco. Staff are friendly. Also noticed that they allow dogs in the hotel and they are very helpful.
