Reviews for Hotel Le Pelican
Review 1:Not the prettiest of all hotels. Old building, so no air conditioning.
Review 2:Parking. Generally decent hotel and good value. It's an old building, but everything works.
Review 3:Toilet shifted when you sat on it. Decor was not to my personal taste. Breakfast extra.
Review 4:Secure parking, walking distance to downtown. Staff was friendly although did not speak English. With my little bit of French we managed though. Good for an overnight stay en route to Germany.
Review 5:The stairs, not for the faint hearted, we are reasonably fit but in motorbike gear and with the luggage it was a struggle, difficult for the elderly!!,
Review 6:Clean and comfy room. Safe parking for motorbike. The owner was very good in giving us directions to the square, nice atmosphere in the evening and list of choice for bars and restaurants.
Review 7:We were able to put our motorcycle in the garage. Excellent breakfast.
Review 8:The small bed.
Review 9:Friendly welcome. A good breakfast. Secure parking, although entering the garage was tricky with a large car.
Review 10:It was all good
Review 11:Very helpful staff
Review 12:There was 5 € upcharge bacause the room had a bathtub. This was not mentioned in the internet offer.
Review 13:There is a private parking.
Review 14:Small rooms. Thin walls if next room decides to party!

Review 23:Location was ok.
Review 24:Nothing
Review 25:Very friendly staff. Great secure parking perfect for motorcycles.
Review 26:No hot water the night we stayed!
Review 27:Parking (very tight turn in), location for town, price.
Review 28:The parking was very hard to enter from the street (especially if you arrive in rush traffic). Hotel was not the newest
Review 29:Good value for money. Good location. Great value on parking (5€ closed indoors)
Review 30:stairs in hotel after a long ride
Review 31:lady on reception was very helpfull on arrival secure parking for our motorbikes we had a very good meal at bistro opposite hotel ,again lady behind bar very friendly
Review 32:The owner was very kind and friendly. We was very helpful to explain how to park the car (the access is narrow but the parking space is very secure). Great breakfast with nice choice of food. We had a room at the back of the hotel and it was very quite.
Review 33:Rooms quite small and dark, wifi sometimes intermittent
Review 34:Great budget hotel, undercover secure parking, good breakfast, interesting rooms with big TV, desk and free WiFi
Review 35:Rooms somewhat compact but reflected in price. Okay for one or two nights.
Review 36:Close to town centre. Large covered car park great for motorcycles. Clean and tidy rooms.
Review 37:Our bedroom faced street and there was a lot of noise into the early hours and once the traffic started in the morning .
Review 38:Convenient in town centre and near restaurants> Has off street private parking> Clean and all the basic facilities OK for an overnight stay at reasonable price .
Review 39:Stairs are steep with luggage. No lift.
Review 40:An OK hotel, really good secure parking, Rooms are fair with a nice bathroom. Not a bad hotel for the price. Really good breakfast.
Review 41:The car park was very difficult to access especially with quite a wide car, but at least it was secure.
Review 42:We liked the location of the hotel, the helpful staff and it was great as a base for touring the Ardennes. It was laso a stones throw from good restaurants.
Review 43:Room was quite small and the bed wasn't fixed, i.e. it was on rollers!
Review 44:Good location close to centre of town. Good parking facilities - private garage locked at night.
Review 45:The lugging of cases with all childrens stuff was a battle and the lack of a childs cot in room. Would be better with a Bunk Bed leaving space.Over Easter there was very little restaurants open and the hotel could have scheduled with a few local restaurants to keep the guests happy or organised an option for kids packed lunches.Car park entrance very tricky for RH drive large cars.
Review 46:The proximity to the railway station was a big plus and the Hotel could offer a cheap BASE for railway exploration on local trains and could schedule excursions on that basis. Staff were understanding of three young children and energetic boys
Review 47:There was a group of children staying who were incredibly noisy and their teachers did not keep them quiet either. Another group arrived back at 0230 in the morning - again very noisy. None of this is the hotels fault, but annoying anyway.
Review 48:Lovely boutique-style hotel with quirky, individual rooms. Private locked garage great for motorbike. Reliable wifi.
Review 49:A family-run hotel, well situated on a corner near the railway stationand a 5-10 minute stroll into Charleville-Meziere's charming towncentre. (A real hidden gem, this, and worth a detour if you're in thearea: some charming pedestrianised streets and a magnificent GrandPlace, all designed and laid out by some 18th c geezer whose name Iforget, but was possibly Charles - or Charle.) Our 3rd night of a biketour, and Madame proudly showed us where to store the bikes in anadjoining hanger-like car park, where they could fit 40 cars undercover, let alone the 5 which accompanied our bikes. The place seems tohave designs on being a boutique hotel, whatever that is, so the decoris a little eccentric, but our room was clean, the bed comfortable, bathroom well appointed, shower good. The only noise the occasionaltrain and the cooing of pigeons. Breakfast quite impressive, plenty ofchoice, fruit etc.
Review 50:There was no lift, our room was on the 3rd floor and the stairs were very steep. The rooms were both extremely small, one with a sloping roof and it was difficult to get into the bathroom. No air-conditioning and there was too much noise from the very busy road to open the windows.
Review 51:The staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 52:Stairs were slightly awkward while carrying suitcases and the entranceto the garage is almost impossible to manoeuvre into from the road, bevery careful.
Review 53:Location was good and the room was nicely presented and comfortable.Staff friendly and location good, approximately a 15 min walk to thecity centre of Charleville.
Review 54:Garage was secure and spacious, however, access was tricky on your firstapproach and scratches and paint marks on wall were witness to many epicevents. Before attempting, ask advice and guidance from owner. No lift for disabled and steep stairs.
Review 55:Location is good for access to the facilities of Charleville-Mezieres.Hotel is clean and cared for by the owners and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Free Wi-Fi was a nice facility to have.
Review 56:Very brief walk from station, but quiet (I was at the back). The room (a double) was good for one, but might have been a bit of a squeeze for two, though the bathroom was an adequate size. Didn't have the breakfast. No lift.
Review 57:nothing
Review 58:Quiet and friendly staff. Excellent location for station. Excellent breakfast.
Review 59:Location near city center and train station; private parking; helpful staff; good breakfast; price value

Review 64:we arrived via motorcyles and had a huge locked parking area for them at no extra cost.
Review 65:Excellent location in the centre of town with private parking which was important for us as we were travelling by motorcycle.
Review 66:Room was small, but that was reflected in the price.
Review 67:Warm, comfortable, good location and good value for money.
