Reviews for Bahía Almuñecar
Review 1:Staff weren't that nice, not swimming pool area for the kids, noplaying area for kids, food was horrible, worst was the breakfast.. Eggsbacon etc...they were left on the hot plate for long time, ... Theyreuse almost everything from when we arrive.. Like cheese in thecontinental breakfast
Review 2:Room was nice, beds were comfy
Review 3:No view. High concrete balcony that you couldn't see out of. Shower didn't hang on the wall so had to hold it. Water poured round the seal onto the floor no matter how careful you were.
Review 4:Location good for Almunecar Decent size of room
Review 5:The wifi signal was weak and when you did connect it was deathly slow. You have to pay 12€ a night for parking, something a 4 star hotel should off for free.
Review 6:The room stayed very cool and was great for sleeping. It was in a great location for all of the tapas bars and restaurants. Also very close to the beach.
Review 7:The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't use the balcony because we could not get onto the balcony with the wheelchair A small wooden ramp would be perfect
Review 8:Everything about the hotel was excellent we had a fabulous time there and everyone did everything we possibly could to help us with the wheelchair ecetera. Only a small snack for us was that we were unable to use the balcony
Review 9:We found the bed hard. The juice at breakfast was not good.
Review 10:Room and bathroom were very good. The balcony had great views. The breakfast was good with lots of variety.
Review 11:Breakfast was so bad we didn't even get up for it the next morning. It finishes at 10am which is early and at 9.20am there were scraps of food left with nothing been refilled.
Review 12:Room service forgot to refill soap/shampoo, one day forgot bath mat, safety box broken, air conditioning does no work. As a 4 stars hotel, it does no offer hygienic bag, paper towels. Bad indications to find hotel.
Review 13:Bed, balcony, parking in hotel, price.
Review 14:When sitting for the Evening Meal it felt like breakfast, but it was worth the small extra cost (2e per day), but the cost seamed to reflect the set up. The town is very close as is the beach, however it does seam to be another slowly "dying" Spanish resort (Nerja nearby was not). The hotel was not a bad place however and was well located to what Almunecar offered, and it may be that we simply did not find its good spots.
Review 15:Location to town, Breakfast plentiful nearby street parking possible if wanted. We were not impressed with the overall feel of the break (in general) and although we will not be returning, it was still well priced and good value based on the low cost that we paid for the weekend and we had no problems with the hotel or its staff.
Review 16:Buffet breakfast wasn't running as advertised however staff were excellent and brought a selection of breakfast items
Review 17:Modern hotel with well equipped clean rooms and an excellent location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.
Review 18:Having to pay for parking
Review 19:Central location Clean rooms Wide choice buffet dinner and breakfast Helpful staff
Review 20:Helpful receptionist spoke spanish and very good English
Review 21:Great staff!
Review 22:Not got the quality of other four star we stayed in Spain no air con in reception poor lifts bar never open
Review 23:Room smelt of smoke, balcony door broken, safe didnt lock. Breakfast poor. Lack of bathroom toiletries.
Review 24:Close to beach and bus station
Review 25:Lacklack of. Tea making facilities in room
Review 26:noise from corridors late at night
Review 27:good location for everything good sized rooms
Review 28:The breakfast is very poor.
Review 29:No free parking close to the hotel There didn't appear to be an Information Book in English although there were several in other languages
Review 30:Good choice and quality of food Comfortable, spacious bedrooms
Review 31:Car parking entrance and spaces very tight and we had problems with the exit barrier.
Review 32:The location was perfect, very close to the old town and the beachfront. Reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful, all staff very friendly. Would certainly recommend in preference to The Bahia Tropical which is more isolated.
Review 33:Children not supervised when on roof terrace/pool running around & throwing a ball over the side of roof, very dangerous. Reception staff ok. male staff helpful, female staff unhelpful. Upon arrival it would be useful to explain how car park paying is done and mention safe costs. Lift stops on every floor, complete pain!
Review 34:Shade on roof terrace, size of room
Review 35:The food. It is really, really bad. Don't eat at the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are really bad. Overcooked meat. And fruits and veggies are nearly rotten. In the old town you can get much better food for a fraction of the price.
Review 36:Room are nice and clean, location near the beach and old town where all the restaurants are.
Review 37:The refrigerator did not have any refreshments. When settling the bill we were asked to pay for a meal which had already been paid.
Review 38:Central location. On site parking. Clean room and facilities.
Review 39:No sign on the wall or anyone asking about a safe or Wi-Fi. Then when coming to the room it turns out that to get a safe working you must go to the lobby and get a key. Same with Wi-Fi.
Review 40:Nice, big, clean room with exellent view from a private balcony. Superb breakfast included in the price of the room. Perfect location. Indoor parking at an OK price.
Review 41:food was very good but cold at times restuarant needed to be heated as it felt cold at times otherwise very good and enjoyable
Review 42:secure garage and in centre of town hotel was very good enjoyed our stay
Review 43:For breakfast there were too many choices. Perhaps less and compensate with better quality products would have been better. But I understand the problem with so many different nationalities. It was certainly good value for the money paid.
Review 44:The location being in the centre of the town was very convenient for me and the fact there was a secure garage, supplied all my requirements.
Review 45:Surly reception staff, invisible evceneing bar staff, room full of ants,no staff in dining room to clear tables, no staff replacing crockeryduring service.
Review 46:Not much really that justified 4 star rating
Review 47:There was just 2 lifts... that for a hotel with 8 floors in my opinion is not enough... and the location was not very good... because is difficult to find a place to leave your car... of course you can pay a parking... but 12 euros.
Review 48:The staff was friendly, the room was clean and beautiful. Good breakfast buffet except the juice machine that it make a no very tasty juice.
Review 49:Air con was only switched on when the Spanish arrived at the weekend, sowe had nearly a week without. No iron in room, they expect you to payfor ironing! Not what I call 4*.
Review 50:Nice size rooms, cleaned every day. Good buffet breakfast selection.
Review 51:Everything was exellent
Review 52:Fabulous hotel, spacious, comfortable room, friendly efficient staff, great value for money, lovely breakfast and dinner.
Review 53:Great hotel, comfortable, spacious room, friendly and efficient staff, good food, excellent value for money.
Review 54:Breakfast could do with improvement
Review 55:Room Location
Review 56:Breakfast was very poor. Noisy dining area. Expensive to hire safety deposit box. For the cost of the room it should be included.
Review 57:Clean room
Review 58:Every thing was right for my family and my children. Thanks a lot to the staff of the hotel. They were very helpful.
Review 59:Breakfast was a bit of a bun fight
Review 60:Efficient, friendly and functional hotel.
Review 61:Breakfast is very low quality. Hotel hardly can be even 3 stars...
Review 62:Spacious rooms
