Reviews for Hotel Suites Albayzin Del Mar

Review 1:Bar closed, dining room closed were not even allowed to play pool as no cleaners employed in January. This hotel is past its sell by date and is in need of a refurb. I believe people should be informed that there are no facilities open before money is taken, at moment it is being taken under false pretences.

Review 2:Nicely furnished apartments and very clean.

Review 3:No bar, no restaurant. Breakfast served in room, cold tea, cold hotwater cold coffe. The toast was a joke, cold and white, unbelievable.Couldnt have an evening drink on site or an even ing meal advertised at20eu.P.P. My wifes 66 th birthday, shame on you for False info. If wehad known everything was closed we would have gone to another place, thehelios or other. Totally misrepresented and we were not informed. Wedemand a refund or at least a stay when the hotel is open as a hotel asstated in your advert. As u know from records we spend a lot of time inthis area, booked through U. so u can sort this disaster out!!!!!!

Review 4:The apartment was verynice

Review 5:Great hotel, really beautifull, 2 separate romms, living room, kitchen, balkony with see view and excellente pool. Service like a 5 star hotel. We travelled in November, not sure how it looks like in high season.

Review 6:Car parking in Almunecar is a total nightmare and the Hotel charging guests €17 a day to park in the underground parking garage is seriously unfair.

Review 7:A super relaxed atmosphere poolside making you feel you could be anywhere from Barbados to Bali. Fabulous buffet breakfast. Two bedroom apartment room was great.

Review 8:No problems

Review 9:I liked the atmosphere, the staff were friendly and helpful, although not all could speak English. Their English was better than my Spanish though!. I would return again. We were half board and chose to eat at breakfast and dinner, both were a buffet. We were always able to find an enjoyable meal. The grounds were nicely laid out and well maintained. Pool guard always on duty, and excellent pool bar staff. You might spot the odd mirror!

Review 10:We signed up for half board but got bored of buffet food by the third day. I suggest you just get breakfast and spend the same 12 euros per person for your meal elsewhere, there are plenty of small restaurants in the town, all charming. The aircon did not work very well, it kept room fresh but not cold. Car park is 17 euros per day.

Review 11:This hotel is very good in general, very clean, staff top class and pool facilities excellent. Kids club is very nice (and cool!). Frigiliana village nearby is a must-see, visit historical quarters and have a meal at any of the little restaurants in its narrow streets. For a treat, eat at EL Mirador restaurant, top class.

Review 12:The free Wifi is a bit slow.

Review 13:We are experienced with hotel stays all over the world. This is a great hotel in our view. The facilities are excellent, the food in the buffet is excellent and the staff provide very good service. When we needed a rental car on short notice on saturday evening, the Hotel staff put much effort into solving the matter, and we were lucky to get a car!

Review 14:- the swimming pool was dirty, there was garbage floating here and there - the Internet was a bit slow - the price did not correspond to quality

Review 15:- swimming pool with an original design - smartly designed suite

Review 16:Terrible rooms. Small bathroom. Horrible soap. No kettle in kitchen. Beds not great. Slowest of slow wi-fi. Reminds me of the old dial-up days.

Review 17:Only the reception area

Review 18:ants just in the my bedroom bits me in the night, food every time same, and worse was a swimming pool, its just freezing you can not take a swim even for couple minutes.my son get a knee inflammation, and still have a treatment in uk.its have to be best holiday for my family of 5 for 12 days, but its was more just long stay in nice hotel,no endearment, no organisation or information for tourists,no good food and no enjoying swimming pool for adult or kids and very expensive car parking. not recommend for a friends :(

Review 19:room was fab, with fantastic views and hotel its just wonderful ! area very good ,town center with shops ,cafe and sea side not faraway.staff very nice, but most of them do not speak english

Review 20:The price compared to quality. The closet space. The bathroom, no logic: check the sink & watertap in room I4J. If you have the street Side, It's very loud. And last but not least; what a bad breakfast.......greasy fried eggs or something. Nothing healthy....only fruits.

Review 21:Wifi is good

Review 22:No kettle in kitchen, not the nicest part of town. WiFi really slow. Breakfast choices limited and not that hot. Pool restaurant lighting in evening appalling. (UV!)

Review 23:Comfort and size of apartment. Pool beautiful and clean. Underground car park very convenient. Friendly staff.

Review 24:Sometimes the internet would cycle off, but nothing too bad. The 3bedroom suites don't have an oven, but the 2 bedroom suites do.

Review 25:We were very pleased with the large size of the rooms. They are verylight and airy, with lots of natural light. Be sure to ask for a seaview room on the 3rd floor or higher.

Review 26:The complex is excellent, and the 2 bedrooms apartment on high floor is what we deserve and enjoy. The complex is located a bit far from the beach (15-20 minutes walk) but the Hotel is luxurious and deliver all you need for a relaxing journey. The pool is amazing and the exterior design is excellent

Review 27:The decor is like being stuck in an 80s disco with lots of mirrors, some of them in poor state and some have directly peeled off the sealing making you wonder if one of them is about to fall on your head. Needs renovation in general asap.

Review 28:Location albeit it is not close to the beach

Review 29:We are reasonably well travelled and would say this one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The view of the gardens ,pool and fountains is breathtaking .Un fortunately it is someway from the beach front but this reflected in the price,as such it represents fantastic value for money!

Review 30:About 1km from the beach

Review 31:The hotel had a very relaxed feeling. The décor was very contemporary and the staff were very helpful and professional. The garden and pool area were amazing, we will definitely visit again in the summer when we can use the pool

Review 32:The piped music in the pool bar area. Too loud and totally unnecessary.

Review 33:We booked an overnight stay in a 3-bedroom suite. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had a huge balcony with views down to the coast. Very comfortable accommodation. The pool area was beautifully laid out with a nice poolside bar/restaurant. We had booked half-board and the evening meal was good with an extensive choice (not buffet). The breakfast was less inspiring but adequate.

Review 34:Wifi didn't work in our room - possibly we were too far from Reception. Had to make my own tea at breakfast using tepid water from coffee machines and one cup tea bags in small coffee mugs. OK, so guess what - I'm English so that matters to me ;-). Oh, and there was no fresh milk to put in it, just that horrible long life stuff. Having said that, I don't mind some sacrifices in order to enjoy different experiences, so I'm only offering this feedback to provide some areas for inexpensive improvement to the hotel.

Review 35:Very distinctive hotel with a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff provided excellent service. Theming is a bit whacky, but it doesn't take itself too seriously and so is great fun for families.

Review 36:The wifi did not work in our suite and only seemed to work well in reception and around the pool, but not too much of an issue.

Review 37:Our 2 bed suite was really spacious, clean and well equipped, perfect for a family of 4. We went full board and the food was consistently excellent. The staff were all very friendly .

Review 38:Nothing really. Breakfast drinks dispensers were temperamental if being hyper critical and perhaps replenish the fruit a little more but I'm being picky the staff worked really hard.

Review 39:Spacious and comfortable, excellent service the staff couldn't be more helpful, pool was fantastic, bar menu very reasonable.

Review 40:A bit far from the beach Pool and garden view is a must

Review 41:Size and equipment of the suites , 2 bedrooms apartment. Clean and we'll maintain Pool Park Kids club

Review 42:The room was situated at street level and was very noisy, also the noice produced by neighbors was well received in the apartment. The interior was outdated and the bathroom had an extended population of fungus. The beds in the apartment as well as at the pool site are not as comfortable as you would expect. Overall It was an overcharged price in relation to the quality been delivered.

Review 43:The only very positive thing which could be mentioned is that this property has a very nice bright garden. Where you could create beautiful pictures.

Review 44:Could never get a bed around the pool area as even though the hotel was not busy, people were "reserving" beds from when the pool opened and then going away, some not coming back until mid-afternoon. Hotel should not allow this - it's very unfair to the other guests.

Review 45:Lovely hotel, very clean and roomy. Breakfast was very very good except for the coffee but plenty of everything. Staff had little english but were very friendly. No complaints.

Review 46:Everything was perfect, staff, location, suite, pool area,

Review 47:No vegan food when asked for in advance.

Review 48:Beautiful appartment and balcony with so much space.

Review 49:Restaurant on promises was not good,

Review 50:The special help and efficiency of Karin in

Review 51:No air conditioning,terriblyhot

Review 52:Beautiful apartment,nice pool

Review 53:The hotel is visually stunning, it really is like an oasis!! Staff, car parking, location, all excellent.

Review 54:Car Parking. Better signs needed for moving around the hotel. Got lost in the elevators a few times.

Review 55:Friendly staff. Nice pool. Food was okay.

Review 56:The food was terrible, everything from a jar, and no choice. Most of the hotel closed.

Review 57:The ambiance and the pool

Review 58:poor wifi in room

Review 59:Excellent pool but could be heated off season

Review 60:Apartment facilities, gardens, b reakfast

Review 61:Front desk staff

Review 62:Breakfast Room Kitchen

Review 63:For 4 star I expect working wifi, a decent bathroom and towels supplied around the pool. Among other things

Review 64:Not a lot

Review 65:Booking.com's pages confuses its customers regarding what facilities the different rooms has to offer. We were told we would have a room with ocean view and didn't get one.

Review 66:nothing

Review 67:fantastic rooms, breakfast excellent, staff could not do more for you, very helpful, for the price I do not believe you could beat this hotel for value, this was our 2nd Christmas here and I really think we will be going back next year.

Review 68:The inclusive breakfast had plenty of choice but hot food such as eggs, bacon etc had inadequate top or bottom heating when put into the buffet servers and so was usually cold. We tried to warm it with a microwave oven which failed to work!

Review 69:Good views of Almunecar. The layout of the hotel meant that the appartments were quiet and the overall impression with mirrors and excellent decor made our stay over Xmas very pleasant.

Review 70:The doorbell (played an awful tune); the pillows (awkward shape)

Review 71:The welcome by the receptionist who spoke excellent English; the tranquility of the resort; the breakfast brought to our Suite; the convenience of the location; having a washing machine (only brought hand luggage)

Review 72:Breakfast cold. Wanted us to fill in questionnaire but no pen. Lack of tolietries in bathroom.

Review 73:Large room. Lovely decor in entrance. Beautiful fountains and pool. Helpful staff. Canal plus changable into english.

Review 74:It might have been useful for the kitchen in the suite to be supplied with a basics, such as a cloth and washing up liquid.

Review 75:Lovely pool and gardens. Great breakfast buffet. Suite very practical for family visit.

Review 76:Although the room was spacious, it did seem a little 'tired' and we felt the rust on the bath and mirrors in the bathroom were unattractive.

Review 77:The reception area and downstairs facilities were very good. The gardens and pool were very attractive and the staff were helpful. The restaurant was clean and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast.

Review 78:This hotel is an eccentric mix of the Arabian Knights and a nightclub! Bizarre hotel but very nice. Glitter balls and mirrors everywhere. Food was pretty good and the pool area is excellent. No complaints.

Review 79:We were really willing to leave, as soon as we entered our"suite", and would have definitely done so, had it not beenthat I had reserved the staying via booking and I would have beencharged all the money anyway (it was a one night stay) (the hotel staffshowed no interest in finding a way out / negotiation, answer was"it's not my business, talk to booking :-/)suites are in fact apartaments - may be great for families with children, it was not for us (in fact, many children were there, having loud fun both at swimming pool and with a kids club going on until around midnight ;-) rooms are far from being "luxurious suites" the hotel itself is pretty kitsch - too many glasses and lights and "pseudo-arab" stuff - and would better fit in the three stars category

Review 80:Almost nothing, eventually the view from the balcony

Review 81:The beds are much too hard for my family. We all felt they were very uncomfortable. But that wouldn't stop us from staying there again, the good outweighs the uncomfortable beds.

Review 82:Beautiful Hotel, great staff, always helpful and polite, clean and close to everything and anything you may need. Local market across the street, fresh seafood and produce market about a block away. Next to many tourist attractions and the beach!

Review 83:Housekeeping walked into our room, without knocking, at 10 am on our dayof departure. No chain lock on door to prevent this from happening. Costwas a little bit high for the suite (2 bedrooms), compared to otherplaces, but then again they had a lovely pool.

Review 84:Now, this is an unusual hotel. The decor is somewhere between 80'sglam and the Arabian nights and the Andalusian white villages. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I found it a bit funky. The poolarea is absolutely beautiful. Wifi signal was great, staff were friendlyand helpful. The breakfast was very good, with lots of hot items (cherrytomatoes roasted in olive oil and spices are to die for), fruit, pastries and yogurt. Our two bedroom suite was comfy and roomy, thoughwe had to ask for a sponge or cloth for washing dishes and dishwashingsoap. Woman at the front desk staff was especially helpful and friendly. All in all, a good stay.

Review 85:The rooms and hotel are extremely clean. The staff is the most courteous of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our 15 day trip across Spain. Breakfast was very good, and the staff accommodated my request for gluten-free bread. I left my purse in the dining room, and the staff noticed and removed it to a safe location. Highly recommend this hotel for the friendly staff and clean rooms.

Review 86:Wifi was not usable .

Review 87:Very spacious two bedroom for a single traveller . The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful .

Review 88:The children loved the pool area, it is beautiful. Location is also great, as the beach is located just ten minutes walking distance.

Review 89:To many broken mirrors ...

Review 90:Warm apartment, we had a good sleep and a normal breakfast.

Review 91:Nothing

Review 92:As it was out of season it was perfect to receive our breakfast in our room and the view was splendid

Review 93:Staff very friendly, Very clean

Review 94:Bathroom needed a makeover

Review 95:breakfast, it was very poor

Review 96:location, pool, apartments

Review 97:The bathrooms, which need an upgrade.

Review 98:The size of the suite, the situation of the hotel, the excellent breakfast.

Review 99:Beds was somewhat hard, expensive parking in the basement.

Review 100:Pool area, the suites where great

Review 101:Breakfast

Review 102:Location and cleanliness
