Review 1：We chose Chinasol because it was cheap and a good location in Almunecar. We loved Almunecar. The apartments are dated and there is no internet. You expect that for the price we paid. What we did not expect was that they were doing renovation works inside the buildings and there was dust and noise in the building. We could accept that too as the staff were very polite and welcoming. On the second day the builders were using machines at 9 o'clock in the morning, Not good but we accepted it, however on our third and last day they started drilling and hammering at 8 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast (another story) on check out I complained to the reception about the noise and they referred me to the manager. This was the rudest hotelier I have ever met. He said for the price we paid what did we expect ! I said sleep. He asked what did I want? I said some discount, a refund or just an apology ..whatever he felt was correct. He then proceeded to shout at me and question my integrity. He telephoned the contractors who confirmed they started work at 8 o'clock and then he continued to berate me, shouting and accusing me of being dishonourable. We had to leave because of another appointment, luckily for all parties. It has only been on my return have I seen all the other negative comments and reviews without reply. This management do not care about their clients or the service they provide. I would advise other clients considering Chinasol go elsewhere and I would advise booking.com and other agencies to seriously consider recommending/offering this property to other clients.

Review 3：The hotel building needs a renovation. It reminds of early 80s with low cieling, dark narrow corridors, small rooms. All 4 beds and kitchen were placed in the same room!

Review 4：nice staff, i asked in advance for the favour and the hotel helped me out. Room good, kitcenette convenient as well. Good breakfast at the restaurant, enough choices. Brilliant view from the balcony!

Review 5：Helpfulness and friendliness of staff in particular Macarena and the manager who volunteered to collect a prescription from the out of hours pharmacy on his bike.

Review 6：It really did not bother us but the building is under active renovation so there was lots of noises during the day, brick piles, dust etc...

Review 7：The location of this hotel gives it outstanding views and is close to many restaurants. The room was very comfortable, the beds, the kitchen, full bath, balcony, and even a lounge area. The buffet breakfast was also a nice touch. For this price we were able to be bothered by the renovations.

My wife is disabled and cannot walk well only one lift went to the ground floor ( -1 ) The other three went to 0 ( ie the 1st floor ) and we had to walk down approx 20 steps to exit the hotel Sometimes it took 5-7 mins to get to the ground floor ! we dread to think if there was a fire

Review 18：The 3rd bed (advertised as a sofa bed) was just awful, it felt like a broken pallet with cushions on it, didn´t get a wink of sleep which is such a shame as everything else about the apartment and the hotel was great! I would stay there again but only if 2 people not 3!!!

Review 20：Basically they are apartments for 2 people and any more than that you are sleeping in the living area.It wasn't even a sofa bed it was 2 single beds which cut down your space dramatically.kitchenette poorly equipped 2cups 3forks 3knives3spoons.we had hoped for clothes washing facilities but had none not even an iron although the website had laundry listed on facilities it was not so.the lifts were tiny and took forever

Review 22：Almuñecar is extremely masified. The apartments were full. The breakfast was terrible, disgusting... Almuñecar is depressing. Is totally not worth the money

Review 24：The only real downside was there was no parking available under the apartments and we had to park under another hotel about a 5 minute walk away, but that was not a major problem. Also the free wifi is really terrible and would be very frustrating if you need it for work, but again was not a real problem for me.

Review 25：Stayed here four years ago but booked with Chinasol Apartments not with Apal Chinasol - very bad experience then, room was terrible but this stay booking with Apal Chinasol so much better! Room refurbished, beautiful sea views, cleaned perfectly every day - and reception staff, especially Macarena, were always helpful and very friendly.

Not enough sun beds despite being twice amount of mattresses so annoying when you do wish to use the sun lounges. Coffee is terrible in breakfast restaurant but lovely girls serving.

I've been here 3 times now and each time for a little more I could have had a nicer more modern hotel but nothing will ever give you the sea view, for this I would pay more! The rooms offer great value. The breakfast is included in the price and is more than adequate.

Wifi available in restaurant which was a bonus. Staff really friendly and pleasant and had taken notice of my booking requests. Comfortable bed.

Review 63：The first room assigned to us was in terrible shape, the refrigerator was rusted and nonfunctional, Two chairs were in serious disrepair, the beds were old Murphy beds (short, uncomfortable). The new room was newly renovated with better beds, chairs, kitchen equipment, but it was in a noisy location with strange noises coming from upstairs (maintenance facility?). Both rooms were nowhere near what we expected from the listing at booking.com. We were led to believe that we would get a balcony with sea view but the view in both rooms was of a rock and dirt hill side with about 1 hour of sun a day! But it was inexpensive. Still there was such a discrepancy between the listing in booking.com and reality that we should have asked for a refund!
