Reviews for Hotel La Petite Auberge
Review 1:I stayed 5 nights with my 2 children 8 & 6 year old.. We arrived early and owners very happy for us to leave our bags and get changed into our ski gear ready to hit the slopes... The hotel was basic but clean tidy and owners gave very useful information regarding where to hire our ski passes and equipment... Lovely restaurant in the hotel but run separately from hotel, we had a fantastic New year meal food was excellent.. Would recommend this hotel....
Review 2:I didn't like having to choose between chocolate and coffee at breakfast - fortunately she said, "why not have both?" - phew, problem solved!
Review 3:Our booking was made short notice and seemed to have taken a little while to be faxed through. Yet, despite getting the owners out of bed on a Saturday night, they were polite, efficient and welcoming.
Review 4:I think the rooms could do with hot drink facilities and maybe a TV although the latter is not vital.
Review 5:Small very friendly hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. Close to the town of Bourg St Maurice and the slopes are easily reached by the funicular railway direct into Les Arcs. Extremely good value so makes a good option to ski on a shoestring.
Review 6:TV wasn't working in the breakfast room, no aerial connection (please deal with), so I couldn't watch the Finals of the Ski Word Cup :( and another resident couldn't get his footie fix!
Review 7:I really enjoyed my time at LPA & the restaurant food was delicious! (The menu was only E14.) I would like to thank Becky for giving a lift to the station at 2am, so cool and for doing virtually everything in the hotel ! (tip: delegate more) I way prefer the location and view here than in the centre of Bourg St Maurice. We took nearby Funicular & went skiing at Les Arcs 2000 where we made the 2000m descent of the Aiguille Rouge (7-8km) in 12 minutes flat, haha ! I also recommend trying nearby Sainte Foy (only E29 for a day pass, Vallandry, Tignes and Val d'Isere (too many rich ppl at Val though, haha) lol. :~-)
Review 8:Needed a kettle in the room.
Review 9:Becky was very friendly and welcoming! She couldn't do enough to help you! the hotel itself is a 10 min walk to the funicular and has an incredible restaurant adjoining it! For what you pay you get everything you need. Also it's very warm!
Review 10:Wifi didn't work well particularly in the room. Bed could be bigger (often the way in France),
Review 11:It's comfortable and inexpensive and well located. The room was very large with a private bathroom. The people are charming.
Review 12:Problems with the WiFi. It was notoriously not working. When we try to use internet it was redirecting us to some "outside" provider. Connection was each time broke. The needs of watching some adds if you want to use the internet is annoying too. I was trying it on two different phones, maybe for computer would be better.
Review 13:We went for holidays snowboarding. The Hotel was ideal place for stay for us. "Ski Paradise" just 1.5km from there. Great meals. Nice atmosfere like in home.
Review 14:Some of the construction (eg doors) and appliances were old, cheap and in poor condition (perhaps reasonable for 1 star) Noise and smell from restaurant.
Review 15:Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Relatively low cost.
Review 16:- It's just outside the center, but you nevertheless need a car to reach the bars, restaurants and "funiculaire" to ski area since the road is very trafficked. But it's absolutely a minor flaw.
Review 17:It was a great stay: - Value for money!! - Friendly staff - the hotel is family run and there is always a great "family atmosphere". We had to leave in advance and the owner just charged the days of the stay - Super clean - common toilet (that obviously we were aware of from our reservation) always kept perfectly clean - Excellent bed for this price range - Very good restaurant at the ground floor - Very silent rooms - Good WiFi
Review 18:Friendly management and helpful
Review 19:help yourself Tea/Coffee facilities would have been nice, either in room or in breakfast room
Review 20:Quiet Location

Review 22:Nothing
Review 23:Room good Owners welcoming and helpful Good value
Review 24:Lady who run it was great. Very helpful and kind. Me and my son had a great time!
Review 25:In line with the price, this hotel does not offer a lot, but what is offered is delivered excellently. Perfect for a no frills yet comfortable stay.
Review 26:the fact noone told us that the maibdoor closes and you need a code to get! After 1h we got in when someone finally woke up! The worst part was prob. The staff when.we where leaving. We told her about it and the only one who did something wrong was us?! And she ended with quote: But others that haven't got in at night have sleept in there cars! End quote... AND they didn't Think about maybee put up a note or something?
Review 27:The price
Review 28:Much better than I had expected.I really enjoyed my stay. Friendly helpful advice.
Review 29:Very friendly family, nice and clean room, no complaints!
Review 30:I needed a simple, inexpensive Auberge near the funicular to Arc 1600. It was Simple, rustic, friendly. I very much enjoyed my short stay.
