Reviews for L'Olive Noire

Review 1:We did not have sat nav and found it very difficult to locate the property it was set back from the road and had the name of a commercial property across the front. We couldn't find any plates, bowls or sheets for the bedsettee

Review 2:Warm welcome from the lady who greeted us.

Review 3:Very basic cooking facilities, needs a few simple extras, ie, bottle opener corkscrew caulindor grater etc

Review 4:super friendly and helpful staff. Ideal base to explore further areas.

Review 5:Lack of dining table made meals a bit uncomfortable. Meal options wre expensive for what we got.

Review 6:Flat was very good - very much separated from owners accomodation. Well appointed with good shower room. Cloe to motorway so good for getting around.

Review 7:Shower head broken never repaired owner said brother will repair/couch was in the kitchen not in lounge because there nolounge!!!!not very nice for my adult daughter to sleep in the kitchen/not enough toilett paper no toiletteries suchas soap to wash butmentionneed on the site so

Review 8:The advertsing was misleading as we thought we were getting an apartment with a kitchen. We were given a room with an adjoining bathroom without a kitchen and had to finish making the room up ourselves. It didn't have a kettle we had to ask for one (it stated the room had a kettle) there was only one chair in the room and another was supplied.

Review 9:Within walking distance to the centre of town. Great shower. Bed was comfortable and the apartment was in a secured environment. Host was accommodating even though we were misled on our booking.

Review 10:Would of gave 10/10 if all rings on the hob worked.

Review 11:Excellent location, it's great for an over night stay when travelling to the south. Owner is really friendly and helpful.

Review 12:Very basic, I could use a desk. Also, the heater can use some more explanation. Cold in the evening and warm in the morning.

Review 13:Very friendly hostess. Breakfast with a North-African touch.

Review 14:Very friendly and well organised welcome. Suited me very well to be able to cook a quick evening meal without the need to go out again after a long tiring day. The small apartment had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean. If I had one suggestion it would be that a few pictures on the walls would make it feel a bit cosier! Would certainly stay again if I'm working in the area.

Review 15:As I said - better cooking facilities needed.

Review 16:Location was ideal for what we needed. Pretty centrally located for touring WW1 & WW2 war memorials etc. Close to Belgian border and within easy reach of some fantastic cities. We had a large lounge, separate kitchen and bedroom as well! One of the largest suites we have ever stayed in. One small niggle was the single electric ring for cooking - insufficient for a long stay. That aside, we had a great time on a tight budget. Lovely shopping areas in Lens centre too.
