Reviews for Résidence MMV Les Jardins de l'Amirauté

Review 1:No kitchen cleaning products or cloths provided. Wifi was frustrating as had to enter in the random code each time you came back to use it.

Review 2:Pool was refreshing. Great location close to marina. Supermarket handy across the road. Helpful staff.

Review 3:Close to the road, on a roundabout. The reception desk not been manned from 12noon-16.00pm.

Review 4:The outdoor pool for the children and we could relax. All very close to the apartment. Very good valve for money. Great having a two bed apartment. Helpful staff.

Review 5:Not much. I find it odd that bedding is included but towels are an additional €8 per week. Note also that cleaning is excluded.

Review 6:Clean, modern, well maintained. Free parking. Well located for the price. Supermarket and Deli across the road, which makes life easy. Marina, bars and restaurants very close by.

Review 7:Looks tired poor kitchen facilities no grill no toaster no oven . Pillows and blanket cover on bed sofa were very grubby

Review 8:Nice pool good location nice bathroom clean staff friendly and helpful good parking facilities

Review 9:Reception not open for long enough. We arrived out of hours and found it problematic. A very pleasant manageress however was more than helpful and very accommodating and the problem was solved to both parties' satisfaction.

Review 10:Location was great for exploring the Vendee on days away, or staying close at hand and sightseeing the local area and harbour. Only about an hour's drive from Puy du Fou. Swimming pool well looked after and apartments fine for leisure breaks.

Review 11:Noisy and lacking in cooking facilities

Review 12:Cheap price but that was relative to the accommodation and location

Review 13:TV in dining area did not make for comfortable viewing.

Review 14:Convenient location, spacious apartment. Mezanine area was good place for kids to hang out.

Review 15:Traffic noise

Review 16:Position

Review 17:Noisy road, and lack of air conditioning in the apartment.

Review 18:Good value for money

Review 19:Traffic a little loud

Review 20:Pool, location, friendly staff, lovely apartment

Review 21:the time tables, are very restrict... could be open for later hours

Review 22:Simple booking and possible to get extra day Near all that is important.

Review 23:I really can't think of anything I didn't like

Review 24:Very friendly and helpful staff Excellent central location

Review 25:Very french to the point of being ignored in restaurants but this is not the hotels fault just not the old town style resort we thought

Review 26:Not much

Review 27:one lift wasn't working and couldn't connect to WIFI.

Review 28:Excellent very helpful staff. Very comfortable accommodation. Superb location. So satisfied we have booked again for September. All in all a lovely stay.

Review 29:Tiny double bed, dirty bed cover. Noisy. Very worn decor. Very basic. Bit like a halls of residence

Review 30:Nice staff. Near le chaume. Sheets and blankets were clean.

Review 31:The lack of staff availability. No towels we were not aware that they were not provided with the bedlinen and the cost of hiring made it a better proposition to buy some. No one available at check out time or to take in the linen.

Review 32:It was cheap

Review 33:When we booked in the lady spoke english and explained not just aspects of the apartment but showed us the tourist attractions and the best way to get to the beach. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we thought it might be a bit cramped with four adults but there was plenty of room. And ideally it was opposite a Super U and within walking distance of the beach.

Review 34:We booked an apartment for four people, however we were a party of three, it was very cramped and there was no space for storing our possessions ,the patio was very small and again cramped. Ideally the apartment was only intended for two people.

Review 35:The stay at Les Jardins was booked at short notice,it was central to all the amenities at Les Sable, Le Chaume is a delightful place which has retained its charm despite the large amount of tourists which visit. The staff working at the hotel were excellent, helpful and their English excellent, the receptionist staff were extremely helpful, courteous ,and went out of their way to help residents. We left a key in our apartment an we're contacted immediately by staff who were most helpful. I would rate your staff as excellent.

Review 36:The bedroom was far too small and got very hot. A general comment about the area in general - too much dog faeces around! Residents should be encouraged to pick up after their dogs!

Review 37:The location, everything was very handy. We could leave the car parked without having to pay.

Review 38:If you are staying 7 nights or more be sure to take all your own towels. You have to clean the room yourselves before you leave or pay a 65 euro cleaning charge. This means cleaning everywhere floors, balcony, bathroom , strip the beds and return sheets to reception. the room will be checked before leaving. It was a little noisy especially if you sleep with the window open!

Review 39:We choose the rooms that can accomodate 6 even though we were a family of 4. this was worth the extra cost as the kids got their own shared room and we also had a bedroom for ourselves. The facilities in the room were good small kitchenette, dining table, large fridgefreezer a decent size balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the pool, as do the vast majority of rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly. There is a good supermarket and bakery very nearby. A ten minute stroll to the ferry for the main central areas for restaurants and cafes.

Review 40:What can I say? A cynical person might say that it was misrepresentedonline. On arrival at the reception a sign states that both english andgerman were spoken. We speak both with a little french. We ended upusing the little french until two days later when one member of staffspoke some english. The apartment was small with the living areadominated by a very large table. The bedroom off the living area is onlyseparated by a very flimsey partition. The cover on the sofa was dirtyas were the floors. The fridge was filthy - some congealed dairy productjust left there. When I immediately approached reception and attemptedto explain I was asked if I wanted someone to clean it! The pool andpool area is tiny with only 20 sunbeds for approximately 30 apartments -some of which accommodate six people each. On arrival an inventory hasto be completed including the amount of teaspoons, forks etc. Uponleaving the guest either pays for a cleaner or cleans the apartmentoneself - I cleaned the fridge in our apartment twice, once on arrivingand the second time on leaving. All in all a very disappointing stay. Wewill definitely not be returning.

Review 41:One member of staff who attempted to speak English on our arrival. The fact that it is in Les Sables D'Olonne - kind of. (You have totake a taxi-boat to get to the town; unless you feel like a veryvigourous walk).

Review 42:No kettle in the apartment but I guess that the need for one is an 'English' thing!

Review 43:The hotel was very reasonably priced and the cleanliness of the accommodation was superb. Very friendly staff. A great place to stay and I would certainly return to this hotel.

Review 44:Balconies in the shade for most of the day Not the hotels fault, but if you put the address into satnav it directs you to a disused car park about 300 metres away which can be confusing if you've not been there before.

Review 45:Pool was in sunshine for most of day. A short walk to the marina and water taxi to main restaurant area (be sure to check time of last water taxi and avoid a long walk back through port area late at night).

Review 46:The bed was a bit old and uncomfortable and the bedroom was on the small side. The apartment smelt of cigarette smoke even though we booked a non smoking apartment.

Review 47:The kitchenette made staying a little cheaper. It was close to the ferry into the centre ville. The heaters worked really well. The place was quiet in winter which was nice.

Review 48:Pool closed at 7pm, kids were disappointed.

Review 49:Very friendly staff, nice short walk to the city.

Review 50:lack of comfortable seating

Review 51:The closeness to all facilities ie. shopping and other amenities

Review 52:very friendly and helpful staff, clean, good location, secured parking in court yard

Review 53:Location Traffic pool Equipement

Review 54:Appartment Staff Value for money Distance to beach and town Restaurants

Review 55:Terrasses and balconys facing north-east gives no evening sun whatever.

Review 56:No hairdryer, no kettle, bedroom very small.

Review 57:Location, friendly staff, amenities nearby - cafes, restaurants, supermarlket, boulangerie.
