Reviews for Edelweiss Hotel
Review 1:Breakfast was not that good but ok. Bathroom was awkward to move around. The shower was very odd. The screen did not cover adequately and thus you could not shower without getting the entire bathroom floor wet.
Review 2:Rooms were lovely. Mountain views from balcony. Wifi was good. Staff were friendly. Excellent location for access to Parque Nacional de Ordesa y Monte Perdido. Excellent restaurants within minutes walk.
Review 3:The only SMALL negative we experienced was that the mattresses were a little hard for our taste.
Review 4:The hotel is a cozy space with everything you need. The staff were always cheerful and happy to answer our questions. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our window. Lovely place and I would absolutely stay there again!
Review 5:This hotel is located in a great location to start your hike. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was an added bonus. Ask for a room with a view, If you are planning on hiking you need to book for the day prior and the day of. Made the mistake of driving to the next location of our trip after hiking and this made for a very long day.
Review 6:Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Furniture and design is a bit old fashioned.
Review 7:Owner and staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room was very big and comfortable. Great location. Very good value for money!
Review 8:The curtains seemed to be drawn most of the time, making it all rather dark.
Review 9:We spent two nights here while on a rest day in Torla during our long trekking holiday. The breakfast was excellent and very extensive. Our knowledge of the Spanish language is not fluent but the owners do speak several languages so we never had any problems. The furniture, paintings and statuettes around the place give it an almost antique feel. Our room was on the first floor at the front and we had a brilliant view of the Ordesa Gorge. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The wi-fi worked very well both downstairs and in our room.
Review 10:beds are not very good but we slept ok on them
Review 11:breakfast is great. staff was very helpful especially the Yong guy (only one haha) great return for the money
Review 12:We loved everything about the hotel. It was our second visit and it was just as good as our first last year. The family who run the hotel are friendly and very helpful. The front facing rooms have lovely balconies and fantastic views of the mountains. The whole feel of the place is cosy, lots of wood, interesting paintings and lovely pressed Edelweiss flower pictures. There is a cosy lounge and lovely breakfast room. The choice at breakfast is good, lots of breads, cheese, meats, fruit, homemade cakes etc. I wish it was nearer...we would definately be regular vistors!
Review 13:The staff is wonderful and eager to help. A great place to stay while tracking around. the location is great (the village is tiny so every location is good), has parking, big rooms. Great value for money! Child-friendly.
Review 14:Every morning we were there we were woken in the early hours by the cows that were being herded along the road. They all wear bells.
Review 15:It's a good hotel near the bars and restaurants and the bus for the park. We had a lovely room with balcony and separate sitting room.
Review 16:Our matress was quite uncomfortable so it was not the best night´s sleep we ever had, after the long hike...
Review 17:The hotel is conveniently located for the bus that takes hikers up to the start of the trail at Ordesa valley. The receptionist was nice! Had a room overlooking the mountains, stunning views. The town is tiny but there are are some decent restaurants nearby to have dinner, and convenience stores.
Review 18:Outworn furniture, the bed was uncomfortable. Despite of the quantity and variety of food at breakfast, the quality was weak. Very cheap ham/salami, awful cheese, no proper fresh bread, cold omelette and sausage.
Review 19:Ask for a room with terrace in the front, the view is spectacular. Having a drink on the hotel's terrace is also fun. There is free parking and the place is perfect starting point for hikes to Ordesa valley.
Review 20:We did not like the fleas in our room. Hey we're biting us and we could actually see them jumping. We had a family type room that was two bedrooms combined and we actually rented another room the last night and there were no fleas in the new room. The newer room seemed renovated and beds much more firm and comfortable.
Review 21:We absolutely loved this location and the staff was very helpful with all our questions of the area. The staff gave us recommendations of where to eat and where to hike. Torla is a wonderful place to have dinner and enjoy a great hike. Our family style room also had a refrigerator and the staff let us buy dinner/wine and bring it to eat on the deck of the hotel to observe the wonderful view.
Review 22:Nothing.
Review 23:Perfect location to visit both beautiful Torla (walking distance) and Valle de Ordesa (15 min drive to National Park entrance). Free parking, relaxing garden. Exceptional mountain view from the room balcony.
Review 24:Bad sound isolation so we were woken up early in the morning as they started preparing the tables for the breakfast. Bed wasn't very comfortable.
Review 25:Location, very close to Ordesa. Breakfast was good and you could enjoy it in the terrace with the nice view of the mountains
Review 26:Bed was a bit old, one side good, the othe not so much One long pillow...why not two?
Review 27:Great staff Nice breakfast Wonderful view from balcony Overall good value for money, we were happy and satisfied
Review 28:The matress was pretty uncomfortable - I guess that is the only minus; Oh and you have to literally wait 5 minutes for the hot water to start coming from the shower.
Review 29:Amazing view from the room; Lots of cake for breakfast :); Gorgeous interiour; Friendly staff; Cosy hotel; If you are looking at the pictures and wondering.. yes it does look exactly like in the pictures! :); For a few extra euros you get an extra TV-room; Parking right in front of the building
Review 30:Great big room, clean, good WiFi. Very good breakfast. Quiet, great location - easy access to Ordessa and Torla Center. Bottom line - great value for money, excellent hotel. מאוד מומלץ - תמורה מעולה לכסף, מלון מצוין.
Review 31:Welcoming staff, cosy Alpine style hotel with a fantastic view. We had a double room with lounge area and a balcony, the view of the mountains was wonderful. The room was a bit old fashioned but rvery cosy and the bed was really comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely with a good selection of hot and cold food. we would definately stay here again if visiting Torla
Review 32:Not hotel buy Torla restaurants have deteriorated. Poor service is common now, even rudeness, and menus del dia are permanent and food microwaved out of the freezer. One cafe and one hotel restaurant still served some fresh made food.
Review 33:The suites with the small sitting and wonderful Balcony views of the mountains. The very helpful and personable staff. Great breakfasts with two different cooked dishes each day and a vast varied cold buffet. We stayed 13days this time and 10 two years ago and never tired of the hotel or Ordesa Park

Review 67:Great room for family, good breakfast and good location. The staff was vey helpful and kind
Review 68:good staff
Review 69:We were told about a walk to do away from the crowds - it was excellent. They also let us take extra bread at Breakfast as the shops in Torla don't open until 9.
Review 70:THE WEATHER.
Review 71:FAMILY RUN FRIENDLY STAFF NOTHING TO MUCH TROUBLE EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR ORDESSA.BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE.EXC VALUE RESTAURANT ESP.BAR EL TAILLON
Review 72:If you're a couple, by all means get 2 single beds. The "double bed" we had was incredibly small. Hotel has a somewhat rustic feel, which we like but some might consider dated.
Review 73:Proximity to Ordesa Valley in Ordesa N.P. Though on main road to park entrance, traffic was light and room was quiet. Ample on-site parking in early April, but could be otherwise by late May when most park hiking trails will likely be open. Hotel staff was very pleasant.
Review 74:The beds very old and not comfortable. There was some problem with hot water which being fixed when we already finished our showers with only little warm water
Review 75:The location, nice view to the mountains and balcony
Review 76:The facilities were very old. Weird massage shower head. The mattress were very old an uncomfertable. You could hear every possible word our neighbours made.
Review 77:The breakfast was excellent. Very nice hotel with many flowers. Smiley owners and helpful. The room was large.
Review 78:The hallways were a little dark. That's really my only complaint!
Review 79:The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and gave us restaurant recommendations and hike recommendations that were spot on. The location was perfect, we could walk to everything. The breakfast was hearty and perfect for pre-hike fuel. A wonderful cheerful hotel!
Review 80:Very old stylish, not renovated, it feels like a hotel from the sixties. Staff was very cool, and when we wanted to book a second night (out of convenience because of the excellent location) they started lying about disponibility. We were still able to book the room through Booking, but because of the unfriendly staff, we didn't book another night.
Review 81:Excellent location
Review 82:Drain smell in bathroom/toilet was not very pleasant, but a bit typical of some places in Spain. The breakfast was varied but typically Spanish, so OK if you're not expecting bacon and eggs! Coffee was not good!
Review 83:Great location and views, and interesting village to walk around, although compact. A few nice restaurants to choose from at sensible prices.
Review 84:No a/c only a very minor gripe, as slept with windows open and this was fine until a herd of cows with cowbells was driven past on the main road at 0500hrs.....
Review 85:Friedndly and helpful staff running a nice hotel in an absolutely stunning location! Breakfast was tasty, and their was a good selection of local restaurants and bars for the evening.
Review 86:shower didn't work, rooms with nice view on mountain not for booking com guests in high season.
Review 87:very good location, big apartment, comfortable beds, good breakfast, good price
Review 88:Familly run hotel and you get to meet the familly (which are very helpfull and nice people). Place is very well located as a base for hiking in Parque Ordesa. Super balcony with views on the mountains!
Review 89:old hotel, not very clean, hearing the other guests included in price the food served for breakfast was not fresh eg eggs, cakes
Review 90:location of the hotel, free parking
Review 91:Noisy, terribly noisy with thin walls - I could hear my neighbours yawn, and when anyone on the same floor opens/closes their door, it soundslike they are entering my room.
Review 92:The location was excellent for taking the bus to the Ordesa NationalPark (eur 4.50 return per person). Breakfast has something for everyone.Terrace faced the mountain, great to sit outside.
Review 93:The staff were just wonderful and happy to help with anything and everything. We had everything we needed and breakfast was amazing. Just down the road form the access to the Ordesa Pyrenees walk with beautiful waterfalls. We felt very comfortable!
Review 94:Apart from breakfast, their restaurant no longer seems to function, but there are many options in Torla. Be warned that the Edelweiss takes in many tour groups, so you need to book well ahead for July and August.
Review 95:The Edelweiss is excellent value for a two-star hotel. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs looking across to the mouth of the Ordesa Canyon. There was an extensive breakfast buffet - great for hikers!
Review 96:Great, friendly, family run hotel, ideally placed for exploring the Ordesa national park. We took our excellent breakfasts out onto the lovely terrace each morning to enjoy the stunning mountain views.
Review 97:The Edelweiss's location is absolutely second to none. On the lower edge of stunning Torla village with an incredible view of Mount Mondaruego. It is also only two minutes' walk to the centre of the village where the church and all the restaurants are. The rooms are Alpine-style with lovely wooden furniture. The breakfast is a great buffet with wide selection of food, much more than you would expect for a two-star hotel. This is a family-run hotel, very friendly and helpful.
Review 98:Absolutely nothing. This is our second stay at this hotel in the beautiful mountain village of Torla and it could not be better. We would recommend this hotel to other travellers.
Review 99:Quality accommodation at a very reasonable price, clean rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff.
Review 100:Not all the staff knew English
Review 101:Staff was very friendly. Room was big and clean. Breakfast was good. An excellent starting point for traveling in Ordesa national park.
Review 102:We stayed at this hotel mainly for its position for walking in the mountains, views from the rooms, and being in the centre of the village for restaurants.
Review 103:Breakfast was very basic.
Review 104:Staff were lovely and tried to always help. Unfortunately they didn't always speak much English (if any) which sometimes made things a little difficult. The view was amazing!
Review 105:beds are not comfortable, wait long for payment problems-connection or what ? we could not understand
Review 106:The view,flowers,location,breakfast
Review 107:Friendly staff, perfect location, good breakfast, comfortable room.

Review 112:the price, location and views
Review 113:clean, nice staff, good breakfast.
