Reviews for Hôtel du Palais
Review 1:The bathroom didn't have a door, and the shower was quite tatty. With no breakfast included and a very early check out time (8:30) we found it overall too expensive
Review 2:Very central
Review 3:Lots of street noise, plus some noise from adjoining rooms.
Review 4:Very convenient for railway station, airport bus (15-20 minute walk), Vieux Port (downhill, 5 minutes), Spar supermarket (very close) and Citadel/old town (10 minutes). Rooms are small but modern (recently refurbished) minimalist and clean. Staff are obliging though with little English.
Review 5:We stayed at Hotel du Palais as a stop over which we booked the night before for a ridiculously cheap price. Given that we were a little tentative however we had an excellent stay. The room we stayed in was huge - 2 double beds for 4 of us - and it was very nice and clean. The owners were absolutely delightful, and so helpful, couldn't praise them more. It's not a luxury hotel or anything but was excellent value for money and a pleasant stay.
Review 6:Althoigh the room had a fan, it was still very hot
Review 7:The host was very friendly and very helpful. He made our stay enjoyable even though we had lost our luggage.
Review 8:Uncontrolled entry from the street through a shabby entrance and dark hallway was a bit awkward. The old receptionist seemed a bit lost at first but turned out to be a jovial and helpful fellow. Bedsheet doubling as a pillow cover.
Review 9:After the first impression of entry and check-in the modern, clean and practical room was a positive surprise. Renowated and well functioning bathroom and shower.
Review 10:The hotel is not so clean, and the bathroom is not a room, it is only a wall near the bed. In our room there was a lot of smoking smell
Review 11:Price is low and the position is the center of the city
Review 12:We booked this hotel in the hope that the location would made up for the cost, but were shocked to find that the triple room we booked was a hole. The linen has sigarette burns and the room smelled not sure if it come from the bathroom drain or old sigarette odour on the curtains. We've booked hundreds of places through Booking.com, but this was the worsed experience ever!
Review 13:Building is rugged, room was awful, everything falls to pieses, staff may be drunk, doesn't speak English, doesn't take payments by credit cards
Review 14:Location
Review 15:Close to ferry, good location
Review 16:I liked the location very much, it was easy to get everywhere by foot, and the excellent personnel attention.
Review 17:The room was nice, tidy and quiet. Although the bathroom is very small, it was very clean and up to date. Very comfortable bed
Review 18:very friendly employees
Review 19:No AC.
Review 20:Comfortable place to stay inexpensively.
Review 21:Noisy and a bit scruffy
Review 22:Relaxed atmosphere
Review 23:no air conditioning
Review 24:good room
Review 25:There were no aircondition, it was impossible to close the doors to the shower.
Review 26:The staff was nice
Review 27:This hotel has hardly anything going for it. Many things are broken, the street is very noisy, parking is ridiculously difficult.Shower without curtain, low.
Review 28:Well, it's Corsica. And you can reach the North quite well from Bastia.
Review 29:Should not be called a hotel. It is more rooms for rent. The bathroom was very dirty. I had booked a room with en suite bathroom but in this room there was no toilet. Nobody there was talking english and this is ridicolous. There is no isolation in the rooms so you can here everything.Hardly you can sleep. I will not recommend this property to nobody.
Review 30:Only the location is good.
Review 31:Toilets were outside the room (the bathroom in my room has no WC). Poor English of staff.
Review 32:The location - on the main street, in the city center. The room was big and clean.
Review 33:Extra help of staff
