Reviews for Hotel L'Avenida

Review 1:The L'Avenida Interiors are wonderful and as soon as you walked in you felt like you had walked into a tranquil haven. We were greeted by Matthew with a chilled glass of Cava, perfect start to our stay and a nice touch. Matthew, Laura and all the staff were amazing too and so helpful. The location was lovely and only 2 minute walk to the square and tram which takes you down to the beach.

Review 2:The TV didn't work in the room & the shower was lukewarm. The towels were very small as well.

Review 3:The location was perfect, the staff were very attentive.

Review 4:It was too expensive, lacking in atmosphere and breakfast was the same every day. The room was ok but not worth €280 a night and the TV only had 4 channels but signal so poor we never put it on

Review 5:the staff and the location

Review 6:The staff were extremely helpful and polite. It was located a stone's throw away from the centre of Soller and the restaurant's recommended were valuable suggestions. Quaint tram down to the beautiful port was well worth the time.

Review 7:As soon as we stepped into the hotel we where made to feel welcome and this continued throughout our stay. The suit was amazing and we will be going back. Fabulous staff and very helpful.

Review 8:Relaxed atmosphere with very attentive knowledgeable staff when you required it. Quiet, especially at night. Comfortable and spacious room. Good location in a pleasant town with a mix of locals and tourists, plenty of restaurants to suit various tastes/budgets.

Review 9:Bed was uncomfortable. Our room was dark- inadequate lighting Air conditioning noisy

Review 10:Staff were excellent. Very helpful and accommodating. Building itself beautiful and pool great

Review 11:Few niggles - breakfast average for a hotel of this quality.

Review 12:Lovely historic building converted to a modern boutique hotel in an excellent central location. Staff superb especially Matthew - nothing too much trouble and always polite and friendly. Nice room overlooking the Tramuntana mountains.

Review 13:61 stairs to top floor - ok for us but not good for those not to good on their feet! Poolside shower not working, some lounger cushions looking tired, but these are minor points which did not affect us particularly.

Review 14:Quirky design small hotel close to centre of Soller, ideally placed for restaurants, cafes, shopping. Friendly and efficient staff, helpful to the end! Very "adult" (thank goodness!)

Review 15:No restaurant No "hotel research" of the restaurants in the locale Hotel building is grand and part of a "terrace" of similar buildings AND a small back garden dominated by a small swimming pool with ocassionally noisy neighbours in adjoining gardens

Review 16:Staff and the art deco/modernist decor and furnishings all very good

Review 17:Nothing. Apart from wifi didn't work but this was just a temporary issue I think. Not normal and matthew looked up what we needed to know and was really helpful. Breakfast was great but maybe an offer of some eggs cooked to order would be nice.

Review 18:Design, comfort of bed, shower, very friendly service, location

Review 19:The only (slight) negative is that the floors are tiled so the noise of footsteps from the room above did slightly disturb us in the mornings. That said, I suspect all local hotels suffer from the same issue.

Review 20:We stayed here for three days at the end of September, staying in room G1 which opened onto the terrace/pool area. The room was large and stylish with a seating area, fantastic funky but effective lighting and a big comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious, bright and well appointed (although a shaving/magnifying mirror would have been nice). Breakfast was served on a table outside our bedroom door overlooking the pool. A large cafetiere of coffee is always appreciated first thing and the buffet featured a decent variety of dishes although sparse towards the end of the sitting. The lunch/snack menu is inviting and the club sandwich and Caesar salad were both delicious. The hotel is a five minute walk from the main square in a quiet street, so very central for everything that Soller has to offer. What makes L'Avenida stand out however is the truly excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. Matthew and Laura were both very knowledgeable about the area and extremely helpful when advising and booking restaurants, taxis etc.

Review 21:We stayed in room 5 whilst the room was quiet facing the pool the seating area needs a change of furniture because the 2 chairs provided were not only uncomfortable but the protruding front legs were a continual trip hazard. Tap needs replacing on sink.

Review 22:Loved quirky interior location great staff great will stay again

Review 23:Nothing

Review 24:The attention to detail is superb, the staff cannot do enough for you and their advice on travelling around the area is invaluable!!!' From the minute you arrive you instantly relax and feel at home. The complimentary glass of cava on arrival is a pleasant surprise!!! Superb place to stay and will definitely be visiting again in the future!! Soller is a stunning town to stay too!!!!

Review 25:Couldn't find any faults with L'Avenida.

Review 26:Location, size, look and feel of hotel were all fantastic. Service was perfect, not obtrusive but always there when needed. Pool/courtyard area is stunningly beatiful.

Review 27:The cleaners were the worst ive come across for a boutique hotel. They never replaced towels, toiletries they literally barely touched anything in the room. Some good hotels may even put your shoes in order, or fold up a couple of clothes. We even had opened wardobes which they didnt bother closing. Extremely sub standard. Also the breakfast options weren't too great, and if you went down at 10am (breakfast closes at 10.30) there is hardly anything there.

Review 28:The two hotel managers are extremely welcoming and attentive! The suites are lovely rooms.

Review 29:The hotel was at the top-end in terms of budget!

Review 30:We enjoyed 3 lovely nights at L'Avenida whilst finishing a 10 day trip in Mallorca. Beautifully hidden away but minutes ask from the main square it was a perfect end to our trip. Matthew and his team ensured we were looked after and offered great advice on where to go, eat and sight see. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Review 31:No drawers in the room! Minor issue

Review 32:Matthew and the staff were absolutely brilliant

Review 33:Superb staff in a lovely location, a very relaxing hotel to stay in for a well earned rest. Would definitely go again

Review 34:Staff could not have been nicer!

Review 35:Brilliant staff who can't do enough for you, and beautiful surroundings

Review 36:Very helpful staff, customer service was excellent. Boutique hotel with style. We loved it and will be back

Review 37:Hotel was Lovly & quiet! Staff very helpful & couldn't do enough for you!

Review 38:We were made most welcome by all the staff, nothing too much trouble for them.

Review 39:Breakfast was OK, no more for this class of hotel

Review 40:Staff and Location

Review 41:good location, helpful staff

Review 42:A little pricey .

Review 43:Friendly staff, uncrowded, nice location.

Review 44:Great location. Great staff. Lovely renovated Manor House Relaxed holiday atmosphere.

Review 45:Breakfast wonderful selection. Relaxing pool area. Great location - walk to train to Palma or Port Sollar.

Review 46:Wonderful, stylish boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Staff could not be more helpful and pleasant, and everything about our stay was perfect.

Review 47:The wifi was a bit temperamental, but generally worked in the end.

Review 48:Quiet location. Friendly, attentive and personal service. Lovely rooms.

Review 49:Weak wifi in room

Review 50:Lovely private pool area Helpful, knowledgeable staff Beautiful design of building Great location, minutes from centre of Soller

Review 51:Great team who looked after us very well, pool area very comfortable. Location fantastic for old town. We will be returning, a little gem.

Review 52:Oh my goodness, this place was wonderful! Everything all the previous positive reviews mention. It was a beautiful and stylish place to celebrate my birthday and they couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions on how to enjoy my 2 very short days there. Thank you!

Review 53:A gym would have been nice, but I understand the space is quite limited.

Review 54:Beautiful Hotel, great location, nice pool, extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Review 55:nothing!! If I was being really picky the pool could have been a little warmer and having an omelette as a choice at breakfast would have made it perfect

Review 56:staff were excellent could,t do enough for you. Decor beautiful.Making sure there was gluten free bread and cereal was really appreciated

Review 57:Traffic noise every morning. We were upgraded to a suite at the front of the building and the traffic noise was unpleasant, even with the windows shut.

Review 58:Fantastic service from Laura, Matthew and Tony. Lovely food and wine, peaceful garden and central location.

Review 59:Breakfast could be a little bit more varied, but this is really just a very minor complaint. No problem for us, but you should maybe take into consideration that the bathroom did not seem to be heated if you plan on staying during the colder month(s) of the year.

Review 60:What a neat little place in beautiful Soller. The staff (esp. Matthew) was extremely nice and helpful, the room (a superior w/ balcony) a delight and the overall ambience and feel of this beautifully restored Mallorcan town house / boutique hotel a real treat. I'm sure we'll be back.

Review 61:Everything was splendid.

Review 62:The staff is simply wonderful - knowledgeable, energetic and friendly. The rooms are large and clean, with a giant bathrooms and the garden with pool is small but lovely. A great place

Review 63:Maybe we had higher expectation than we should ... the hotel was disappointing: the room was dark, the bed linen was never change in four days (every day we can find a couple ants in the bed) and the towels where changed only ones. The breakfast was mediocre.

Review 64:The staff was nice.

Review 65:The breackfast could be a little more refined and varied, or at least bring some better pastry products. But the food in the evening is really god!

Review 66:We had a great stay in this hotel. Staff is extremelly helpful and nice, they gave us a late check out, after we came back from the beach so that we can still have a shower and fresh up before leaving. Room was beautiful. Tappas in the evening were great, done by a chef that comes there few nights per week, a must try by the pool side! All restaurants recommended in town by the hotel were excellent. Highly recommend staying here!

Review 67:The design is a little cliched and formulaic.

Review 68:Customer service and hospitality was among the best we have encountered. Location was central yet in a quiet road.

Review 69:breakfast was very basic, not what i would have intended for the price we paid,no lift we was on the third floor and had to go up six flights of stairs everyday at least 6-7 times daily not what i would call a holiday-its definitely a 1/2 day stay, not a week like we stayed!!

Review 70:pleasant friendly staff

Review 71:My husband found the bed uncomfortable, which was annoying, although the bed was fine for me.

Review 72:When we arrived we had a fantastic welcome from Nora, who showed us to our room, told us about the building - which is beautiful - then provided delicious glasses of cava for us to drink. Our room was comfortable, with views over the mountains and the lovely garden. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel was remarkably quiet considering we were a short walk from the centre of Soller, and proved an excellent place from which to explore the delights of northern Mallorca.

Review 73:Found the room very basic for the price, soap was not renewed at all. Noise was terrible from the floor above during the night. Bed was lumpy. Decor was basic with cheap laminate floor.

Review 74:Location great, , friendly staff Breakfast was good.

Review 75:Having more lounging areas would be good, like a library.

Review 76:The staff went out of their way to be genuinely helpful and accommodating. They upgraded me and gave me a super late checkout without me even asking. The in-room spa treatment was sensational.

Review 77:Breakfast, beds, bathroom, noise from street.

Review 78:Friendly staff

Review 79:Parking,but the helpful staff made the situation much better.
