Review 1：due to the bad design, the shower water spatters

Review 2：very good location right in the center of the city. 5 minutes walk to the beach. overall good facilities. friendly staffs.

Review 3：We were put in a room which was so small there was no room to put our case on the floor. We were eventually moved to another room which they were trying to charge more for. We realised we were paying a lot more for the room through Booking.com than the room was worth! We will probably not use Booking.com again having used them for years. We seem to end up in the worst rooms in the hotel. The second room we were put in the ceiling in the bathroom was caving in due to water flooding in from above so had to move again. To be fair to the hotel they gave us free breakfasts for the rest of the stay.

Review 7：The roof top bar closes at midnight. The showers don't have doors so water gets all over the place. Seems like the showers are more for presentation.

Review 14：The first room was booked with Grand Circle Cruise Line. It was adequate but the bathroom has a strange picture window to the bedroom. No towel racks in bathroom. Then we moved to another room we had booked privately, and it was wonderful with balcony and view and much better bath facility.

Review 17：The nightstand was veryunfriendly. There was on exception of a gentlemen during the day that was friendly and helpful. The rest not friendly or helpful. My first room faced the busy street y and the window would not shut tight. They would not change my room until next day. Could barely sleep. And the reception was incredibly unfriendly about it. Nice room but impossible to stay there. Right above the entrance and you could hear everybody who came in talking.

Review 19：We informed the hotel in advance thst we will arrive between noon and 1pm. When we got there at 12:30 the receptionist told us the room will be ready in 2 hours. We left our bags and went to lunch. When we came back at 2:30pm the room was still not ready. After we insisted we want a room right away they finaly gave us a room 2 stories lower and just outside the elevator. I would expect more from a 4 star hotel.

Rooms are to warm as they do not have an airco but a ventilation system. When at the reception desk, these was the most asked question( complaint) by guests.

Review 37：Due to the recent flood in nice we had to stay 1 night at The Hotel West End and they paid for the taxi and gave us breakfast free of charge... We checked in at the Aston the following morning and we were given an upgraded room and complimentary breakfast for the rest of our stay all through no fault of their own... We look forward to our next stay at the Aston... We can't thank them enough. If you are going to Nice make sure you stay here

Review 39：I like that it is located in a very historical area. The parks and places for walking is great. The location was near restaurants and shopping (Galleries Lafayette and other high end shops as well as affordable brands such as Zara, H&M and Mango

Review 51：The hotel tried to charge us for a bar tab that was paid directly with cc in the bar. Not what you would expect from a hotel in this class. Neither that their top-floor bar turned out unavailable on a friday night because they had to private venues. These venues were however announced in the lobby and looked available. Again a bit strange for a hotel in this class to entirely "lock out" their hotel guests from their "top-floor" night bar. Breakfast is expensive 18 or 26 € pp!

Review 52：The location is perfect for a stay in Nice. Airport transfer by bus is also very close.

Review 53：There were floods in Nice the night we stayed and the staff were unable to deal with the water dripping into our room appropriately. They asked us to sleep on our friends floor and take it up with the manager the next day. Luckily the water stopped coming into the room after a few hours and we were able to remain in the room once we had mopped up.

Review 68：There was a problem with reception, when guests from tours were trying to book in. We wanted a taxi to the airport but there were about 30 people waiting to book in. This was only an occasional problem but maybe changing the way things are done on reception would save this bottle neck.

Review 69：The location with the park in front of the hotel was wonderful. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Rooms were well presented and the beds so comfortable with lots of storage space. Breakfast was everything you could have wanted. The roof top bar with pool and 365 deg. view was a real bonus both during the day and at night. All types of public transport were close to the hotel.

Review 70：*The VERY poor soundproofing (noises from the street, the corridors, cleaning personnel chatting loudly at 8pm...) *The breakfast served in 1st floor when it should be served from the 7th with a view *The price range (i paid 235€ à night w/o breakfast for a 20m2 bedroom...) is definitely not in line with the standard of that hotel * The slightly old fashion style (very 90's) * the pool opened only 10am to... 5pm !

Review 72：Apart from the young porter who was very helpful and whose name unfortunately we did not get, the other staff were extremely unhelpful. Also we were woken at 2am by banging on our door by a man wearing a crash helmet that had been allowed into the hotel to deliver food albeit for another room. No apology was forthcoming from the hotel staff thus client security here borders on being non-existent.

When asked daily for extra, was only given instant sachet of coffee, as pods of real coffee not available? Review 79：Very nice rooms, perfect rooftop bar and pool. Location of the hotel could not be better!! Close to old town and also best shopping areas. Would definitey go back to this hotel!!

Review 80：The room was newly renovated and was nice but lacked tables/racks for luggage which we had to live out of from the floor. Also, the bathroom sink was a bowl style with no plug made it difficult to wash, shave and clean some clothes.

Review 82：The rooftop bar had a fabulous bar, but it was completely ruined by the pigeons that would fly around your head and land on your table! They are filthy birds and it ruined the ambience of the rooftop bar. The problem could be so easily solved by stringing up some monofiliment (fishing line) and the birds will stay away. It's a shame that the employees seemed so unconcerned about the pigeons and everyone (hotel guests) at the bar seemed bothered by them.

Review 97：We stayed from 12 - 13 September 2015 and were given room 606 on 6thfloor, a triple room to accommodate 3 guests.It rained really bad in the morning of 13th September 2015. We woke up because we heard water dripping inside the room. We immediately called the front desk asking them to change the room because in a matter of seconds, water started to pour in from all lamps on the ceiling as a result the room was literally DROWNING.A room service man came in to check the room and was shocked to see the condition of the room. He then rushed down to the front desk as we asked him to change our room. He later on came back to us saying that the front desk refused to change our room as we were checking out later in the afternoon.We were FURIOUS with the room service man's feedback and completely dissapointed on how the front desk handled the situation. Our room was COMPLETELY WET with water still pouring in from all lamps on the ceiling! The front desk did not even consider our safety by giving such feedback!My friend went down to the front desk to complain then the lady in charge gave another key to the concierge man to give to us. Why this lady did not give the key directly to my friend? She did not even apologize. The concierge man then directed my friend towards the elevator with the impression so that other guests cannot hear our complaints.We immediately moved to the new room and we noticed that we were given a double room instead of triple room as the front desk said that was the only available room with a much better category.We went back down to the front desk as we wanted to speak with the Manager on duty, but they said that the Manager will only come at 09.00. So we decided to have breakfast while waiting. When we came back at 09.30, they said the Manager will come at 14.30. At this point, we understood how disrespectful they are to us.

Review 99：Staff were particularly unhelpful!! Wifi didn't work and that's all we were told. There were no attempts to remedy this or apologies given. The kettle in the room was a health hazard with the cable too short so it had to be put on the floor and a switch that didn't switch off off when it should, requiring it to be unplugged and burning yourself in the process. Also poor TV reception. Also many other smaller issues, too many to mention here.

We asked for a steamiron and after one visit to the reception, 2 calls from the room andaround one hour waiting we finally got a very old, broken iron ... The window to the bathroom did not afford the privacy one requires when in the toilet, as the person in the bedroom can see through the blind on the window. The bathroom looked to be refurbished, and the standard of finish to the grout was substandard in relation the quality of the tiles, which should have been picked up on snagging of the finished tiling works.

Wifi didn't work at all
