Reviews for Citotel Hotel Arc en Ciel SPA
Review 1:Bed too hard. Strong smell of (cigarette)? smoke whilst on balcony, perhaps coming up/down from other guests. We did not think Breakfast was not good value for money.
Review 2:Quiriness, balcony, decor and facilities. Secure parking.
Review 3:Restrictive availability of rooftop hot-tub. Staff were a little grumpy; and whilst we had a fluent French speaker with us, the staff spoke too quickly to be understood.
Review 4:Funky rooms, quite small, but well designed. Great location.
Review 5:This time there were just some pretty small / odd things. Coffee cups left dirty for the entire stay, coffee not refilled, no milk in the room (although I get that may be more that the French don't really have milk in coffee). We had to ask for things like toilet paper to be replaced etc.
Review 6:It's a great location, and really quirky / arty hotel. Something different. The jacuzzi on the rooftop is amazing.
Review 7:Quirky well located hotel. Friendly staff, roof sun deck and hot tub for personal 1/2hour bookings usage if wanted. Lovely ad hoc picnic area with helpful facilities in a sheltered outside area. Private parking. Comfy bed with star lights above!
Review 8:The room had a bit weird smell, especially in the bathroom.
Review 9:A comfortable and surprisingly big room. The place was very bike friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. The location is very good.
Review 10:The excellent location and the decor of the hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful, humourless and accommodating. And they upgraded our room for free! Beautiful city to wander around. Plenty to see and do.
Review 11:None
Review 12:Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The room is ideal for a couple looking for romance. The dining room is beautiful period room. The breakfast is good value for money. Particularly good hotel for a romantic occasion.
Review 13:The photo of the jaccuzi shown on this page looks like a swimming pool and is at least 10 times bigger than the actual one available. My wife wouldn't have booked the hotel if she had known it was a very small jaccuzi.
Review 14:Paid for "sea view" but could only see the smallest part of the sea over the roofs of other buildings. Picture looks like swimming pool, not 15 Euro per person Jacuzzi. Need to arrive very early to find parking. Small rooms
Review 15:Air conditioning/heating very good. Breakfast Good Choice. Quirky, old fashioned Dining Room, with electric piano. Easy walk to beach, shops and dozens of seafood restaurants. Rooms quite nicely decorated.
Review 16:It is a old building with poor noise insulation. Coupled with careless upstairs neighbours we had some trouble to fall asleep one of the nights.
Review 17:The staff and the location were just amazing. We had a lot of fun
Review 18:Shower room, with wc, very small and a bit cramped
Review 19:Position of hotel- just a minute`s walk down to a fabulous sandy beach and splendid, long promenade. Great sun terrace, too and the huge jacuzzi looked fun, although we chose the free beach and the waves. Great restaurants all around and free, fun street entertainment at Les Sables.
Review 20:Liked it all!
Review 21:The suite is essentially a holiday bungalow, set several hundred yards distance from the hotel, but still central to the town and close to the beach. Great set up. Quiet and comfortable. Lovely private patio. Very well equipped. Would definitely return to the hotel.
Review 22:Our room was a 'sea view' but in fact although we could see the sea (just) we looked out onto the jacuzzi and sunloungers. However this didn't spoil our stay.
Review 23:The location is ideal, a short walk to the beach and also close to the great food market and other shops. Friendly staff, good facilities, memorable decor(!)
Review 24:Quite noisy at night - mainly fault of seagulls! Hotel car park full so a challenge to park.
Review 25:Excellent fresh breakfast, different decorations, good location for beach, town and port. Nice hot tub with views. Some staff very helpful.
Review 26:Would have liked a kettle in the room to make a hot drink.
Review 27:Everything!!, lovely quirky decor, friendly staff, good breakfast choice, roof top jazzuci so good, good location in town for beach and shopping.
Review 28:Noisy seagulls in very early hours, windows closed soundproof the room but then very hot, fan provided but also very noisy. Ear plugs solved the problem!
Review 29:Great location, friendly staff, very quirky hotel. Use of chairs for the beach. Car parking available. Loved the sun terrace.
Review 30:Parking is difficult close by. Room was a bit cramped but ok.
Review 31:Location was excellent, a short walk to the beache, town centre and told port. Room was well equipped and very clean
Review 32:Some noise in rooms due to layout, parking quite expensive at 10 euros a night
Review 33:Location perfect, not overcrowded, gym and spa facilities, jacuzzi and roof terrace superb. Breakfast room very relaxing in the mornings and good selection of foods. Friendly staff and hotel kept clean and tidy
Review 34:Staff were excellent. As a solo traveller I was made to feel part of the community.
Review 35:the toilet room was too small !!!!!!!!
Review 36:location
Review 37:within easy reach of the promenade and beach, shops and market within easy walking distance

Review 45:A bit noisy.

Review 48:Decor and staff
Review 49:Shower did not work and staff did not care. No owner in sight.
Review 50:Comfortable bed
Review 51:Breakfast not as good as it was a few years ago. Certainly not worth 10 euros per head.
Review 52:Helpfulness of staff
Review 53:- jacuzzi roof-top - superb breakfast room - very friendly staff
Review 54:Pleasantly quirky hotel. Great location, excellent for beach and town. Wonderful breakfast room. Parking available.
Review 55:no aircon or even a fan. Noisy with window open, seagulls and drunks
Review 56:décor good, staff amazing, great terrace
Review 57:The toilet room was so small I banged my head when leaning forward whilst sat on the toilet.
Review 58:It was nice to have parking at such a central location with the beach just down the street, a few minutes walk to the town and easy access if you cut through the town to the harbour. The quirky dining room made breakfast a nice experience.
Review 59:Everything! Quirky decor with exceptional facilities, this is a very good hotel by any standards. For the price it is outstanding. Great location close to the centre of town and the sea, courteous and helpful staff, a real find. We will be back.
Review 60:We had a room downstairs which was extremely noisy once breakfast had commenced early in the morning
Review 61:The willingness of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
Review 62:Unusually for France the bed was made up with sheets and blanket - it was very clean and nicely done, but we would have preferred a duvet.
Review 63:The general Twenties style decor was fun and brilliant. The dining room was spectacular with really beautiful wall and ceiling murals and plaster mouldings. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.. The parking arrangement was excellent for a town center site.
Review 64:Nothing.
Review 65:The friendliness and quirky decor plus closeness to beach.(Could not answer rating questions as could not see rating scale!)Free WiFi is super.
Review 66:Parking 2 or 3 mins away from hotel Because room is right on street there is a fair bit of noise from passers by late at night
Review 67:Friendly and helpful staff Amazing dining room decor Central location to town and beach
Review 68:A bit weird owner, she has this growling Yorkshire terrier on (!) the reception desk and even in a framed photograph wearing a bowler hat. The dog I mean. So yes, the owner, madame Decle, is rather eccentric.
Review 69:Good location, near to the promenade and beach and yet a quiet street (except for the screeching seagulls, but these you'd find everywhere along the Atlantic coast...) Very comfortable hotel. Some of the cheaper rooms are rather cramped (I stayed a few days and had to change rooms), the larger ones with balcony are superb, a straight 10 out of 10. The dining room, is it 1920s? Beautiful in its own quaint way. Breakfast is good, the 'all you can get' kind of breakfast, which you don't always find in France.
Review 70:Wonderful! Imaginative décor, welcoming hosts and individual rooms. Definitely not a conforming corporate and all the better for it. Fun and immensely enjoyable.
Review 71:Room slightly cramped.
Review 72:Excellent location very close to main promenade and beach. Staff veryfriendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast. Bikes available for hire.
