Reviews for Suite Home Briancon Serre Chevalier
Review 1:The swimming pool was a little cold. In the bathroom, there was an old pipe that smelt a bit strong, but facilities were clean.
Review 2:Room was clean as spacious. Staff was friendly.
Review 3:We got their very last room available, which was on the attic, not reachable with the lift - we had to find the stairs to go up to the last floor, and we had some heavy bags.
Review 4:We requested a queen bed, but they only had twins left, so they gave us free breakfast.
Review 5:The corridor had a very bad odour. The room had blinds hanging off the rail. We asked to change room as this ground floor room had no security on the window, so it couldn't be opened for air and the air conditioning didn't work. Although the hotel was by no means full, the reception said no as we had only booked a "comfort room" and he said that they were all the same. Poor location away from the town, cafes and restaurants.
Review 6:Cheap but not worth it.
Review 7:Not a great location on the edge of a supermarket car park in a. Unfashionable area. Fifteen minute walk to centre(s) and restaurants, although there is a pizza place en route.
Review 8:It's a functional budget hotel, staff friendly and efficient, rooms fine, bed comfortable, facilities cleanish.
Review 9:Air con in rooms didn't work although, considering the heat/ humidity, were not that bad without it!
Review 10:Staff very friendly and good sized rooms. Plenty parking and close to Supermarket.
Review 11:Very difficult to find, even with navigator. In the middle of a commercial mall. Name only to be found on the rooftop. Indications from reception on the telephone were not clear, not professional.
Review 12:Value for money. Large free parking.
Review 13:It was mid 30's in Briancon and although the hotel has air conditioning they are too tight to turn it on so it is extremely hot and stuffy with no air flow whatsoever due to the very small window. If it wasn't for this i would say it us a good place to stay
Review 14:The room itself was modern. Bed was great. Doonas instead of horrible blankets. Nice bathroom and shower and pleasant mountain views.
Review 15:WiFi signal weak
Review 16:A small apartment with reasonable facilities, although some of these were a little tired. Close to a supermarket and within walking distance of restaurants.
Review 17:Hotel was very tidy, staff spoke English short drive so pretty central to briancon and chantemerle, for what we paid for 5 days we got the best deal on earth
Review 18:Poor maintenance to a fairly new hotel. Lights missing in headboard and those that remain dangling down on wires. Two out of three showers in pool area not working. Steam room not working. En suite door "sticking on floor tiles!" Room for four too small for four adults.
Review 19:Good location in the town to everything. Good size rooms and en suite. Good cleaning service and quite hotel. Good service from staff.
Review 20:rooms facing the back are very dark.
Review 21:Helpful, pleasant staff, happily moved us from the back of the hotel to a room at the front. Excellent location. Very good breakfasts.
Review 22:The lighting switch in the bunk bed area was broken and just taped over; annoying and possibly dangerous. There was a large leak in the bathroom hand basin that just dripped onto the floor. We put a bucket under it to catch the waste water. The basic servicing was poor. Three people staying; two tea bags; no milk but heaps of sugar. Overall, not a great stay and little confidence in the issues being remedied after passing them on to the staff at checkout.
Review 23:The location was good. Easy walk to town.
Review 24:Wifi was rubbish and as we are there for business - I ended up spending long time in the bar - The receptionist refused to reset the router because "the manager doesn't like doing it". Well I guess the manager just lost 10 rooms booked for 5 nights in two weeks when we are back !
Review 25:Nice bar - rooms good
Review 26:The hotel is a little far away from the old-town of Briancon, but frankly it didn't matter.
Review 27:The pool, the large parking lot, the nearby grocery store, and the location meant it was an excellent hotel to use as a base when going on day trips for climbing/via ferrata/biking. The breakfast was good too! There was a lovely restaurant 7 min walk down the road which served great food. The staff spoke good English, which made for a nice change in the area, and made us feel very welcome.
Review 28:No Smoking policy ignored by some guests and having a room as we did with a balcony and others with same used balcony as a smoking area. Complained three times to reception.....waste of time insincere apology and last time on paying bill the guy couldn't give a toss...so be warned
Review 29:location, room facilities....kitchenette in room......very useful to my wife & I
Review 30:Car park was a little too un secured; but nothing happened so OK. Also had to eat at Mac Do's - kids were happy.
Review 31:Having a single room for 4 - cut the costs. Swimming pool as enjoyed too.
Review 32:Rooms are not clean, not very well-maintained; can be noisy at times
Review 33:Decent sauna, pool, location is pretty good, close to slopes and to the Old City
Review 34:everything
Review 35:Asked for a room above ground level - didn't get one
Review 36:Good location
Review 37:Stuffy unused room with limited wifi capacity
Review 38:Great staff and convenient location
Review 39:~Good location & facilities
Review 40:It stinks
Review 41:Bunk bed were in hallway between main bedroom and bathroom. If doors were closed, bunk room was very warm.
Review 42:Convenient, not too expensive, pool
Review 43:The suites are in a sort of shopping centre with views to the car park
Review 44:Room was comfortable after we asked and paid for an upgrada
Review 45:Air con wasn't very efficient
Review 46:Good sized room, good location, only 10min walk to town
Review 47:We got room opposite the building estate which was quite noisy.
Review 48:Le stanze sono molto ben disposte, ampie, confortevoli e molto ben attrezzate:
Review 49:Have the impression the sauna never works-false advertising?
Review 50:Location & price hard to beat. Comfortable enough
Review 51:Slow wifi in rooms.
Review 52:Pool and leisure facilities were great. Free parking with close proximity to shopping facilities were useful.
Review 53:Clean apartment on good location for skiing in the Serre Chevallier valley!
Review 54:On arrival, the member of staff was rude and unhelpful. There was a poor smell to the hotel generally although the rooms were fine.
Review 55:Quiet, easy parking, pool and sauna a nice touch
Review 56:old rooms
Review 57:price clean
Review 58:Internet worked well but you had to log in for each session. The shower floor was slippery.
Review 59:Location was good. Very close to a supermarket and fast food outlets. The easy entrance and elevator were appreciated.
Review 60:Location was a bit far from the walled city, so had to drive. Cigarette smell and air freshener smell in room.
Review 61:Free parking, clean bed and sheets, good shower, nice view of mountains, cute little glassed in patio. Quiet, rarely heard neighbors or plumbing sounds. Front desk speaks English well and all staff were helpful and kind.
Review 62:I think the breakfasts were overpriced and should be included in the price. Despite this they were very nice
Review 63:Great access to Serre Chevalier ski resort
Review 64:Wifi connection was poor, pity the pool wasn't in use.
Review 65:Good spacious room with good facilities. Excellent parking, easy to find and great having the supermarket next door.
Review 66:Wifi in our room was terrible, couldn't connect 90% of the time. We had to sit in reception to use the internet and there the connection was still poor. None of the staff spoke enough english for communicate easily and they charged us for breakfast when we never had breakfast.
Review 67:The location was good with a 10 min walk to the ski lifts and a grocery store near door. The place was nice with games, a bar and a pool table to entertain us on the days that had just too much snow.
Review 68:Nothing except not a fan of the hand held shower head but that's the only negative.
Review 69:Everything. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great, being near the shopping centre was a real bonus too !
Review 70:There is a pool empty, I guess there is a technical problem. Should betake it back to service, would highly improve the sauna area.
Review 71:Very convenient hotel, easy parking, kind staff.
Review 72:We used Briancon as a base from which to explore the area by car. This hotel was ideal because it is easy to find from the main roads into Briancon and parking is free and plentiful. We had a room with a kitchen and the nearby supermarket and other shops were very convenient. The view from our room of the alps was fantastic, even though it was across the supermarket car park. A modern and very well maintained hotel.
Review 73:The small enclosed balcony (covered with windows) overlooking a parking lot behind a shopping centre. A/C not working.Cheap tiny chairs.
Review 74:Free parking , grocery nearby. OK kitchenette.
Review 75:Bathroom didn't make an impression of had been cleaned thoroughly or just poor quality of materials which got marked easily. The hotel is located next to a busy road so it was noisy in the morning with a balcony door slightly open.
Review 76:Lovely view - nice to have the "bunk bedroom" separate from the main room - kitchette was very servicable and with the large grocery store just below, it was very convenient - about a 15 minute walk to the old city which was worth wandering around the fortified walls
Review 77:This time unable to park our Minibus in main car park as there was a height resticter on the entrance which meant a lot of carrying but that is all
Review 78:The location for our bike ride was excellent as we have stayed there before
Review 79:nothing to dislike !
Review 80:What a place ! near shops town and good super market Great quiet large room - good bathroom and cooking if you wanted to Breakfast option looked good Great food nearby
Review 81:2Nd floor room was at street level and just a few feet away and thecurtain didn't close so it wasn't very private. Not a speciallypleasant location, with a shortish walk to town but along busy streets.
Review 82:Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Basic but adequate room withtea making.
Review 83:It's attached to the Ibis hotel (same entrance) but about €13 cheaper for basically the same. Our room had a wonderful view of the snowcapped mountains and a small enclosed balcony to view them from. It shares a large carpark with the Ibis and the shopping centre which makes for easy parking and access to supermarket, great patisserie and lovely wine shop. Easy to find, just head for the Ibis.
Review 84:Nothing major but room is slightly smaller than those at IbisBriancon (next door but the reception + breakfast area are sharedwith Suite Home).
Review 85:Cheaper than Ibis Briancon (next door but the reception + breakfast areaare shared with Suite Home) on a Saturday + room is better appointed.
Review 86:The breakfast tables not cleared 1 morning, had to wait at bar no oneserving. Only two tbags, 2 creams.
Review 87:The staff helpful especially one member. Gave us tickets to ride free onski bus. As we were spectators not skiers, saved us lots. And we couldleave our bags no problem
Review 88:Nothing, it has everything we needed
Review 89:Loved the space for the family. We booked a quadruple room and it was lovely to find the children's bunk beds in a separate space with a door separating them from the large bed for us. We did not use the kitchenette but it had everything you needed.
Review 90:Somsetimes we were left with no towels, but problem was solved quickly.
Review 91:Very good location, enough close to go walking to the skiing cabins, skiing rental shops etc, handy to do some shopping as its base above theshopping mall. Rooms are ok clean, equipted with balcony, bathroon niceand clean. I recommend this place to everyone who want to go skiing andsave some money on accomodation.
Review 92:Great Location for stopover while traveling through the French Alps. Good WiFi & Excellent bed.
Review 93:Only decaf coffee in the room
Review 94:Staff were really friendly. Sauna and steam room was an added bonus.
Review 95:WiFi worked good early in the morning only.
Review 96:Location: shopping center is next door to the hotel, ski station is about 500m from the hotel.
Review 97:hotel situated in supermarket car park.
Review 98:Nice, Clean rooms, friendly staff.
Review 99:Hard to find. (No big deal)
Review 100:Staff.
Review 101:Nothing
Review 102:A cosy hotel near the center of Briancon. A parking place is alsoavailable on site.
Review 103:Gps did not take us to the hotel at the given address. Best to say it is located w/ Ibis
Review 104:Location in town, free car parking.
Review 105:Expensive bar with slow service even with minimal customers, lack of restaurant
Review 106:Hotel was clean and the price was good
Review 107:Not very attractive location Rooms a little dark at the rear
Review 108:Good staff - helpful Good location Clean
Review 109:It was a bit funny to stay in a hotel located in a shopping mall during a ski holiday.
Review 110:Warm room unlike in Italy. Free parking. Close to shops.
Review 111:A very friendly and quiet place to stay, even though in the centre of a busy town.
