Review 1：The weather - we must go there when it not pouring down!

Review 2：Warm building on a cold wet day and equally warm welcome from owners but it helps if you have bit of Spanish. Interesting decor and VERY clean. Some safe parking and in walking distance of the village.

Review 5：This pretty hotel overlooks a park just a short walk ( less than 5 minutes) from the town. The room was clean and comfortable and the owners are justifiably proud of the service they give. We really enjoyed our stay in Santillana del Mar.

Review 14：I got asthma there. The cleaning is thorough, but they use an _allergenic_ air freshener ("ambientador") every day. I slept there 3 years ago and again now. The rooms are badly impregnated now. I kept the window opened for hours during the night, but the smell was still strong in the morning. Furthermore: The rubber under the sheets is unpleasant.

Review 26：As we had an early morning return flight from Santander Airport we asked for an early breakfast at 7.30 - it's normally 8.30-10.30. To their great credit they duly obliged - that's great service!

Review 27：Noise from "village" play area close by. The accommodation is fine, if a little small. Santillana del Mar is a disappointment, way too commercialised and rammed full of people. Noisy in early hours from refuse collection vehicles operating outside the door.

Review 29：the room we had was a little small to comfortably fit our 2 suitcases, and the cupboard provided also could not fit our suitcase. Our room also did not have a view although there was not much to see as the hotel is around the new town center (open field and platform)

Review 30：It was family run, the owner was nice and tried his best to speak English. Helped us with luggage. The breakfast staff were also nice. Breakfast was simple - ham cheese bread, coffee orange tea. But it was good especially as it rained first morning we were there. Did not see many breakfast places outside. The owners also decorated the place nicely and is by far the best looking hotel along the street

Review 31：The staff of Posada Araceli go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. Each person gets all of their time and attention. The room was small, but cozy, clean and extremely comfortable. The entrance is beautiful and the location couldn't be better, right at the entrance door of Santillana del Mar. Highly recommended.

Review 32：We loved this small family owned hotel perfectly situated in this amazingly pretty village only 25 minutes from the Santander ferry terminal. Secure parking was a big bonus as our car was packed out for a wedding and on site parking made us feel very secure.
