Reviews for Hotel Dabeleira
Review 1:No ventilation at all in the room itself. No windows, but a velux in roof at a height of about 3 or 4 metres with a remote control for the blind, but no way of opening it. The only way to ventilate the room was to leave the bathroom door open and open the bathroom window, which gave on to a very narrow yard. Unfortunately the neighbours opposite had their windows wide open and their television on very loud until about 1 a.m. This room desperately needs air conditioning: I could not recommend it, otherwise.
Review 2:Convenient location on the edge of the town centre and 10 minutes walk to the station, though up a steep hill. Generously sized bathroom and shower. It was nice to have a fridge and coffee making facility.
Review 3:The staff were lovely and even though we couldn't speak Spanish we managed to make ourselves understood. They even went to the trouble of getting gluten free bread for me for breakfast. The room was newly decorated and immaculately clean.
Review 4:Not much view, just surrounded by buildings. Breakfast: cooked items served cold. Housekeeping is perhaps slightly lacking occasionally; since the shower head was broken, a few personal possessions had been left in a cupboard unnoticed and the advertised kettle was not present.
Review 5:Located near to the river (the west side) on a narrow one way road in town. Temporary parking bay outside serves this hotel and the next door hotel for check in/drop off. The terraced property has recently been renovated to a high standard in clean and modern style. Lift to all floors. Despite our lack of Spanish a very helpful receptionist furnished us with useful information about nearby restaurants and a town plan. Additional tourist information leaflets available. Bar service available on arrival in the reception/breakfast room. Breakfast available, quite good. We booked a good room which was spacious with a particularly comfortable large double bed. The mini kitchen was neatly tucked away in a big cupboard. Big windows offer a limited view due to the surrounding buildings. We were able to look down onto our motorcycles on the wide area of pavement opposite, the recommended parking area for hotel guests with bikes. Maximum 4? A really comfortable stay with everything clean and spacious. Definitely recommended.
Review 6:No carpark. Street parking if you are lucky or a public car park about 15 mins walk.
Review 7:Well placed for the town. Although there was no carpark there was a 10 minute drop off zone outside the hotel. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very nice.
Review 8:No parking and had to leave the car quite a way away.
Review 9:Spotless, easy walk into the port & centre, room slightly small but everything that we needed.
Review 10:Because or room was at the top, the angle of the ceeling was a little low , and I hit my head a couple of times, but would not let this take away from the quality of the room, as I think it may have been mentioned somehwere, so should probably have been prepared :-)
Review 11:The room was really bright a big window with blinds in the bedroom, the bathroom had a large skylight which gave loads of natural light, quite rare for bathrooms. We spoke with 3 different ladies at the reception, all of whoom were extremely pleasant , and helpful, checking bus times etc, for us. The breakfast at €4.00 each was fantastic. We had orange juice, bacon (three or four nicely cooked strips) and eggs, door-step slices of toast and plenty of good coffee. A great start to the day. A huge thumbs up there. Tea/coffee making facilities, and free bottles of water in the little fridge (daily) were also wonderfull extra touches.
Review 12:A very good hotel located in a quiet street in the centre of town. Refurbished in a modern style, the cleanliness & comfort is exceptional. The microwave & coffee making facilities were very welcome. Our thanks to the staff for their friendliness & professionalism.
Review 13:On top floor rooms had sloping ceilings which are a problem for tall people. Breakfasts were meagre.
Review 14:Large room. Kettle and cups and tea & coffee in room.
Review 15:Nothing
Review 16:The location is on a quiet street in the town, easy access to the harbour, beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. Parking is limited, but ample space for bikes on the paved area opposite. Very clean and newly refurbished hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff, learn a little Spanish and you will find it easier. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in town for dinner. Breakfast request of bacon, eggs, tomato and mushroom was served with pleasure and tasty.
Review 17:A fan in the room would have been good as was quite warm in July.
Review 18:Really comfortable bed; very clean; excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff (as long as you speak Spanish!)
Review 19:Street quite narrow but our host had kept a space for us right outside the door with post plants
Review 20:Nothing was too much trouble for our host. If she could not explain in her small amount of English she would go away and come back with a bottle or example she did not know the word for. She provide a great breakfast ,excellent value. She also packed a lunch for us to take again great value and did everything she could to make our visit a pleasant. one. There is a lift to manage your cases. There was some street noise but this died away at night and we all slept well. Very convent lay located in the town. The bed and the special pillows were great. It was just great to stay with someone who personally cared about you...just like my mum!
