Reviews for Qualys-Hôtel de la Paix
Review 1:Breakfast was very good, but at €15/head was a little expensive
Review 2:Good location, close to motorway and town centre, very good room, friendly reception
Review 3:Morning coffee in the restaurant will cost you 3 euros.
Review 4:We found this hotel to be clean, comfortable and in a nice location. Free parking is nearby. Many nice restaurants to choose from within an easy walk. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast did not appear to be worth the 12 Euros per person so we passed.
Review 5:We had an older room this time it was a little small
Review 6:I have stayed here for the last 4 years, it is a good place to stop over, great location. Staff always helpful
Review 7:No lift so had to carry babies to room. Lacked atmosphere. Miserable staff front of house. Restricted check in times.
Review 8:parking and accommodated dogs and twin babies without a problem.
Review 9:Very good location in lovely town. Family room for was ideal for family of 5. Our two children enjoyed sleeping on a mezzanine up a small flight of stairs and there was plenty of room for a cot for the baby. Useful to have secure parking although we did have to take the bikes off the roof to access it!
Review 10:Breakfast overpriced (say compared with what you get at a Novotel). Air con in room worked well for mezzanine area but strangely downstairs was uncomfortably hot overnight (28/8/15).
Review 11:Room layout. Cleanliness. Comfortable bed. Very helpful staff. Lovely character and excellent location.
Review 12:The A/C was not working properly and it was hot (apartment is also under the roof). We opened the windows but then you could hear some noise from the street. No lift.
Review 13:Nice hotel close to the center. We stayed in one of the family apartments and enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff. There is a square nearby with some restaurants. The old town is a short walk. Parking (to be reserved) was very convenient to have.
Review 14:We only stayed 1 day/night - we should have stayed in this hotel and this city for a week!
Review 15:Staff were so friendly and helpful, a lovely quaint, very comfortable and clean hotel with lots of character, very well located in one of the most beautiful small cities we have ever been in France, excellent value for money, their breakfast was superb - a huge choice of beautiful food, with secure car parking - will definitely come back to this hotel and this city ....one of the best
Review 16:we did not feel welcome. Staff hardly said hello. Room under the roof, very small stairs to bring luggage up and No help at all was offered. No elevator. Airco not strong enough. Bed broken.
Review 17:good location. Good badroom. Separate toilet.
Review 18:Decor in room, lack of view, very poor selection of tv channels ( none in English) Our bedroom didn't resemble any of the photos on the website. It was dire!
Review 19:Leaving!
Review 20:I appreciate rubber mats in the bath are not very attractive but I think one should be made available for when showering.
Review 21:Can't vouch for all the rooms but ours (207) was pleasantly spacious
Review 22:The room was small and very stuffy (double room) with carpet. It only had a small window for air flow.
Review 23:Good location with secure parking. The hotel graciously locked our race bikes in a separate garage area which we really appreciated.
Review 24:Concerned to see so many people from outside the hotel checking out the property and rooms...clearly thieves.
Review 25:Good enough, close to ferry and old town and good access to beach.
Review 26:Hotel was closed upon late arrival around 23h00, we saw a paper with key on the reception desk but has no access. There was a published phone number at entrance door, we called this number 3 times from 2 different mobile phones but there was no reaction. Unprofessional reaction by receptionist in the morning.
Review 27:First impressions upon seeing the hotel? Drive on, it looks a bit like a shop front, but persevere and when you finally enter the hotel, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The bedrooms were adequately comfortable, and quiet, we slept well. The advertised car-park is small, but there is parking nearby - and there are restaurants. There is a small courtyard which is nice to sit and have a drink if you don't want to use the lounge area. There is an area for wine tasting, but we didn't experience it. Breakfast was copious, an excellent choice of things to eat, including a delicious local jambon cru. It is convenient for seeing the town.
Review 28:The room (n1) was very basic, with a unpleasant smell and especially very noisy. Every phone call from the reception, every client entering could be heard. The most annoying thing was the noise of the parking door slamming very early in the morning. Certainly not worth 150€ a night w/o breakfast!
Review 29:-location -free parking place in the area
Review 30:The allotted room on this occasion (104) quite noisy and not very comfortable compared to the previous visit. I would not like this room again.
Review 31:Very helpful staff on each occasion we have stayed here. Breakfast facilities excellent and everything very clean.
Review 32:Bit noisy with people walking above and water pipes came down through cupboard, so early morning shower from room above was a good wake up alarm!
Review 33:Clean, large enough for three of us, lovely beds with crisp linen, parking off street (€8) quiet although room on street. Centre of town. Fab restaurants really near.
Review 34:I booked for my father and I and my small dog. I expected to pay the dog supplement but was told that I had to pay for a higher grade room for a twin bed and the dog. This was not mentioned in the details and when I asked if I could cancel the owner refused. He said he had discounted the room but an €85 room turned into a €120 room.
Review 35:Locality
Review 36:A triple room, shared by 3 young men, was perhaps in need of a little refurbishment but very adequate for their needs.
Review 37:This was the second time we have stayed here and this visit was equally as good as the first. The Hotel is situated in the centre of Beaune with secure parking and close proximity to shops, restaurants and bars. Staff were most helpful and our room, although at the front of the hotel, was very quiet. Breakfast was bustling but was excellent and well worth trying.
Review 38:Nothing really, except perhaps that the continental breakfast was a bit over- priced
Review 39:Can walk from train station in ca 5 mins. Easy to walk into Beane, but if you have a car the hotel offers locked parking for a fee
Review 40:extra charge for car parking.
Review 41:Nice hotel, good location, 5 minutes walk to centre of Beaune. We had the apartment which was perfect with separate twin bedroom for our children.
Review 42:Coffee was £3 for one very small cup. The staff was not the friendliest however I only speak English so the language barrier could have been the real issue.
Review 43:Cleanliness of room and bathroom was wonderful. Wifi was excellent!
Review 44:Only one very small criticism, the music at breakfast was a little frantic for a peaceful Sunday morning.
Review 45:Everything was ideal, the staff welcoming and polite. Quiet location but perfectly placed for access to the town on foot with easy access when driving, parking no problem. Just what we were looking for after a long tiring journey.
Review 46:This is the perfect place to stay in Beaune for a wine trip to the surrounding hills of the Côte d'Or. Nothing fancy but clean rooms and friendly staff.
Review 47:The staff works in a strenght way to get you satisfaction, in details. The hotel is well conserved, the furniture and decoration are functional and beautiful.
Review 48:We had a great time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was fantastic and it was easy to walk everywhere in Beaune. Highly recommended!
Review 49:Room small. Steak house end of street ridiculous price. 28€ for a Average T bone. Why don't they put two chairs in all Hotel rooms
Review 50:Location excellent and Madeleine cheaper to eat. Did two burgundy tastings and while a little expensive both had there own attraction. Best tasting Les Caves de I' Abbeye
Review 51:As upon several times before we found our half way break to Languedoc in Beaune very satisfactory. The hotel is well sited, both for entry and exit from the town and also convenient for the centre. Excellent restaurant just around the corner. Staff are efficient and good humoured.
Review 52:we stayed in a premium room with a balcony. Bed, bedding and pillows were all very comfortable. Room was modern, loved the walk in shower and always nice to have hardwood floors. Enjoyed being able to sit outside on the balcony with some wine. Room was also very quiet and breakfast had large variety of choices.
Review 53:Nothing.
Review 54:Location is great; can walk to village; a block or so from walled city. Staff was friendly; recommended a great restaurant; not so touristy! Had to pay for parking but it is enclosed and safe. Pay for breakfast but well worth it! Able to leave are car there the day of checkout while we did a bit more sightseeing & shopping!
Review 55:There was nothing negative.
Review 56:The staff was efficient and personable. The hotel is modern, yetcharming. The entire grounds and hotel is spotless. The rooms aretastefully decorated and very comfortable. The long European bath tubwas so enjoyable for a long, hot soak in the evenings. We were there 3nights and took advantage of the breakfast every morning. It wasdelicious. Many things were homemade by the owner. The buffet was quiteextensive. I loved the egg boiler that we did ourselves. I woulddefinitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Beaune.
Review 57:The room we stayed in on the first night wasnt amazing, dark and pokey, but totally fine for an overnight stay. Nothing else.
Review 58:Very friendly approachable staff. Welcoming and helpful even though we were an unexpected late check in both times we stayed. The first night we stayed we were in an upstairs room (in the attic). Quite pokey and dark, fine for overnight but not great. On the way back from South of France we stayed again, and we had a ground floor room that was lovely, modern, light and airy. We travelled with a 1 year old and a 4 year old. They were very welcoming and accomodating of the young children. Breakfast very nice and varied - pastries, cold meats, cheese, eggs, cereals, fruits, toast, etc. A very good selection. Parking in the courtyard behind the hotel as well as on the street outside - very easy and felt secure. Location very good - 2 minutes walk to restaurants, a little further for the sights of Beaune but very manageable.
Review 59:We changed the date of our stay at short notice. Following a phone call to the hotel the receptionist dealt with the amendment to our booking with no fuss. In person, the receptionist was absolutely charming and couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is a short walk from all of the tourist attractions of Beaune. Highly recommended.
Review 60:Location, good sized rooms and friendly staff There was a MIS understanding on the parking arrangements but, after seeing that my car was not suitable to leave in a public area the staff arranged for me to park in their secure area
Review 61:too small room, too much noise from the street - in oorder to sleep the widow has to be closed at all times - then its bearable
Review 62:good location, good atmosphere, nice and friendly place
Review 63:Nothing
Review 64:Easy walk from the station and to shops and old city. Family business, very clean room, Great air conditioner in room and excellent breakfast in lovely garden.
Review 65:Noisy! The road as well as something coming from the room or next door making a loud buzz/hum every 3-5 minutes. We unplugged the fridge but that didn't seem to be the problem.
Review 66:Great location and the family room we had was spacious.
Review 67:Clean place and very nice staff, close to the centre of Beaune. Breakfast a bit expensive,it could be improved if hot food was included but overall not too bad. I'll probably use it again on my travelling trough France
Review 68:Nothing!
Review 69:Good location for walking to restaurants and historic town centre. Good accommodation for family and good value for money. Convenient stop off point on motorway south.
