Reviews for B&B Hôtel Dunkerque Centre Gare
Review 1:Overlooking yard and air condition units in the yard can be heard from room if the window is open.
Review 2:The Hotel is basic but clean and has everything one needs. Hotel has free parking by the station. It is not too far from the city centre, we walked and it took about 15 minutes to get into town.
Review 3:Although value for money, this is without doubt an entry level hotel. Free parking as advertised is subject to a vacant space in one area of the train staion car park.
Review 4:Situated opposite the railway station within walking distance of the city centre and yet only a short drive to the Ferry. Having all you need for an overnight stay
Review 5:Opposite train station, but was quiet. Breakfast was really good room was basic like ibis budget but had private ensuite, would stay again at b&b hotels
Review 6:No bad experience but I would appreciate one English channel on the TV although I speak French
Review 7:Very good value for money and the breakfast is very good,
Review 8:Comfy bed, nice room and also I can smoke in the room :) that's unusual for me but I like it. The stuff really kind even I don't speak French, but all the stuff speak English which is good. And also a cleaner women..... She is around 40ish but how she simile on me.... I melted lol That's why I go back again when I'm in France :)
Review 9:Dunkirk itself looks very unsafe place, lots of migrants, no restaurants at all around the hotel. I would advice not to choose this town to stay. Stuff didn't speak good English, it was mixture of French-English. It was written not to leave pet alone in the room, but people still did it.
Review 10:Hotel itself is good and safe. We left car at the car park near train station, it didn't look safe but was ok for one night. Breakfast is good ( you don't have alternative cafes for breakfast around) wifi was very fast. Excellent choice if stay for 1 night before/after ferry
Review 11:The hotel is not in the best area and the old part of the hotel (not used) looks run-down.
Review 12:Exceelent Value - The rooms and shower/wet-room were totally renovated and although minimalist - were excellent. The location was ideal for the station - but some way from the centre of Dunkerque. The breakfast was typically French but good value for the price. Parking across the road in the station and 19.00 to 09.00 is free
Review 13:Large hotel with a small are for the breakfast buffet, difficult to obtain seating for the 4 adults travelling
Review 14:Everything, clean, good breakfast, excellent staff, good location. All in all, a very good hotel excellent value for money
Review 15:Easy-to-find . Allowed us to park our motorbike on footpath just out side the hotel reception window. Close to eateries. Appreciated the lift to our room. Easy access to Ferry for crossing to Dover.
Review 16:The area around the hotel is quite ruff and we saw somebody beingmugged. Not much to see or do within walking distance.
Review 17:The hotel itself was impeccable
Review 18:No English TV. Difficulty for parking.
Review 19:Large room. Piping hot water and plentiful. Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.. Open 24/7.
Review 20:Nothing we didn't like
Review 21:Comfy bed..great friendly staff..clean.. room nice and cool and very quiet.room 313.. Breakfast really excellent value for 6 euros.. would defo stay again..coffee from vending machine good too..
Review 22:The car parking is across the road in a public parking area. Because security could not be guaranteed I had to move cases and other items of value into my room - most irksome after a 400 mile journey.
Review 23:Functional and comfortable. My wife is disabled and found the room and bathroom to her liking. The sound proofed windows were excellent - although I should imagine it could be quite noisy in the summer if you chose to sleep with them open.
Review 24:As it was so busy the staff were a bit overwhelmed at breakfast and ran out of bacon and eggs. Not their fault, management problem. Coffee was great!
Review 25:This hotel is fairly basic but it's right in the centre of town near the port and all the restaurants. We managed to park for free in the station across the road. Very convenient. The room was very quiet. We were there for the anniversary of Operation Dynamo so it was full. Because it's so central we managed to get to all the events very easily.
Review 26:Good location for centre of Dunkerque, good business facilities, helpful staff, 24-hr drink and snacks machines available, plus microwave, good and varied breakfast (excellent for France)
Review 27:Breakfast was 6 Eur - it is very basic but again you get what you paid for. When we went there 30 min before the breakfast ends but most of the things were not left.
Review 28:It is very basic but you get what you pay for. Bed is comfortable and it is clean. There is 24 hours reception which is handy If you check in during the night.
Review 29:Good price for a comfortable short stay. Close to the railway station, and a 10-euro taxi ride from the beach. The bed had a hard mattress which we liked very much. All in all a very good experience.
Review 30:There is only one soap dispenser in the shower with rather thin soap so you should bring your own shower gel, shampoo and conditioner plus a bar of soap for the washbasin. I also bought a roll of toilet paper as they only had toilet paper squares.
Review 31:The staff at reception were very friendly throughout my stay. A decent buffet breakfast was available as an option for 6.50 euros. The rooms were simple but the bed was comfortable. There were vending machines in the lobby with a microwave to heat up dishes. Overall excellent value for money and good location.
Review 32:The street was noisy outside in the evening, from people hanging around the bus station, and a late night cafe nearby. The noise stopped by about midnight, but was quite loud earlier in the evening.
Review 33:Right beside the train and bus stations, which was really convenient. Breakfast was available as an optional extra, and was inexpensive and perfectly adequate. Coffee was abailable at any time from a machine in the foyer.
Review 34:Because you have to park in the station car park, it can be very hit and miss if you can park, and almost impossible to get a free space. the area could be a little worrying at night.
Review 35:the hotel was clean and comfortable ,friendly staff , handy for over night stop for the ferry.
Review 36:Advertised as with parking which it doesn't have ,you have to take your chance with the public parking which being next to a train station is not easy
Review 37:Nothing to report
Review 38:Excellent value and reasonably close to town centre. Very clean and very good service. Breakfast facilities available until 10.30am Will certainly use the Group again.
Review 39:No Fridge, tiny room,Had specifically written and requested a room with 2 beds, paying more no problem but on arrival told only a room with double bed .All others booked so take that or go elswhere! A taty old dump(And I`m not a fussy man).
Review 40:Not much!!
Review 41:Train noise.
Review 42:A good value for money hotel. A bit too close to the rail station, though. We couldn't sleep with the window open because of noise from a parked train left with its engine running all night. For a one-off its good value for money, though.
Review 43:no secure parking, we had to park over the road in the station car park and when your car is full of stuff following a holiday, this is not ideal.
Review 44:helpful staff, good bed, clean rooms.
Review 45:The location was excellent, close enough to the town centre, but very convenient and quiet even though across from the rail station. Breakfast was good and set you up for the start of the day. Staff polite and helpful.
Review 46:A bit noisy in the morning as it is located next to the bus stop and train station.
Review 47:Though not too close to the ferry port, still value for money for 1-night sleep after taking the ferry. Easy and free parking nearby.
Review 48:directly at the hotel only public parking liable to fees; Wifi was sufficient only in the corridor
Review 49:central location directly opposite the train station, good infrastructure in the proximity, free parking just 300 meters away; for the price range and French standards sufficient breakfast buffet; very helpful young man at reception; payment and door code to spare check out on departure
Review 50:Very clean, although its states B & B Dunkerque, breakfast isn to included in price. Can be purchased, which was excellent as for a continental breakfast there was scrambled eggs and bacon.
Review 51:On departure around 3pm, I asked the duty receptionist directions to a particular bus stop. I showed him the bus timetable, which clearly showed the bus I needed to get. He directed me to completely the wrong bus stop. He had obviously just wrongly guessed. If I hadn't checked, it would have had serious consequences since the bus ran infrequently on that day. If he had been honest and just said he didn't know, it would have been much better.
Review 52:Location
Review 53:The breakfast could be improved a lot. my experience so far is after making a mistake in booking and emailing you, you have ignored me. Not happy
