Reviews for THB Felip
Review 1:Rooms were quite small & difficult to sleep in as they got very warm in the night & the air con was switched off.
Review 2:Great location, lovely hotel.
Review 3:When booking this hotel be careful as their website can be misleading. Ibooked a double room for my WIFE& I as I thought. When we arrived athotel was told we had only booked a double room for single occupancy andhad to pay an additional sum of €300. the hotel is rated as 4* and inour opinion I think it only qualifies for 3*. the food in the selfservice restaurant is only 2* in our opinion. We paid 90€ supplement fora christmas gala dinner which was held on christmas eve which was a selfservice affair and again very poor quality although the wine wasreasonable. The entertainment was lacklustre and was only over 3 nights. There was very little christmas spirit. Disappointing. The ensuite wasexceptionally small. Very little room in the shower with just a fixedshower head.
Review 4:The staff were friendly the bar prices were fair
Review 5:Great place to stay! Fantastic staff always ready to help. Very clean hotel with nice buffet. Central location is the key! We will be back and definetely will be recommending this place to all our friends and family. It's a pity we stayed there for only 2 nights.. Thank you for your hospitality.
Review 6:All as should be ;) . Lady in the reception provide top service . Thanks
Review 7:I have been in few 4 star hotels recently in Majorca and need to say this one was the best so far, good food selection comparing with other 4* hotels, very frendly staff, very helpful and nice lady in reception , clean and high standard rooms . I wold give 4*+
Review 8:Some fittings in the shower room needed maintenance, but they weren't important enough to bring to the staff's attention. The mojito served at the hotel's bar was the worst that we had during a week in Mallorca; it didn't taste right, it had an intense artificial green colour and it had no mint. But you can get mojitos from a dozen other places within a few minutes' walk, so we weren't really bothered.
Review 9:Great location - a minute's walk to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff; comfortable room; good choice of food at breakfast; our room had a balcony overlooking the beach with plenty of room for two to sit at the table - a nice bonus and well worth the extra cost. The spa facilities (pool, sauna, steam room and a small gym) were good, and especially useful if you are unlucky enough to have a rainy day. The gin & tonics served at the hotel bar were very good.
Review 10:Make up of the room was mostly OK, although one day it was all too late (after 2.30). Upon arrival our confirmation from booking.com gave us availability of the room from 11.00, but the hotel was without knowledge about this, and very surprised. Somebody has given a statement without sufficient back-up. At the morning buffet the staff seemed underpowered. Tables were left uncleaned and customers waiting. A trolley with clean und used platery could be of great help. Last: Oh Lord, give us a shower cabin. The bathtub is the greatest risk in hotels for slipping.
Review 11:The location was very fine, the reception when we arrived was very kind. The buffet in the morning was fine, more simple in the evening, although there was always good selection of meat, salad and fish.
Review 12:Only stayed for 1 night,we were put into a tiny room with a shower, room seemed to be a single. There was a coffee and tea facilities with no milk,we were told it was not included in the price. The blue line in front of the hotel meant that you had to pay at certain times, another guest was sorting out a fine as he had no idea that payment was needed.
Review 13:would not return.
Review 14:February is not a good month to choose but fitted in with when I could go. Very quiet. Hotel with few guests. As a lone traveller it cost 160 euros for round trip from the airport to the hotel -ouch!
Review 15:Ponte Cristo would be great in warmer weather. Massage was great and reasonably priced at 30 euros for 50 minutes..Best I have ever had. Indoor pool on the small side. Great position overlooking the bay and harbour.
Review 16:We stayed in the annex which is one street behind the hotel. The noise at night and the morning is horrific and we are city people. The beds in the room are extremely hard and not a pleasure to sleep on.
Review 17:Staff is extremely friendly and willing to help with almost anything. Location is right at the beach and couldn't be better. Rooms are clean and well kept but outdated.
Review 18:Food for all inclusive guests was distinctly average (although al-la carte looked better), very much cafeteria style buffet, & the out of meal time food available to eat for all-inclusive people to eat consists of pretty stale bread with either a slice of ham, or cheese in it - no butter, no mayo or anything. There was a salad box so I just went for that. Barstaff did live up to previous reviews and very much try to ignore you a lot of the time - noticeably more attentive to larger groups & paying guests. Don't expect a huge courtyard, it is quite small, & unfortunately didn't seem to spend much time in direct sunlight - if you looking to enjoy the weather best sitting out front or going to the beach, which admittedly is 100yards away! "Health centre" is a joke, sauna was colder than the outside, spa water temperature same as the pool outside, Steam room good but the exercise equipment consisted of treadmill, few freeweights and a cable machine.
Review 19:Wifi was really very good - could even pick it up on portions of the beach. Beds were very soft and comfortable. Great that the beach is so close - makes up for the fact the pool spends most of the day in the shade (or it did in late September). This is best for somebody/small group who are aiming to probably go out and about during the day, as there isnt really much to do in Porto Cristo.
Review 20:Front rooms are on the main road so can be noisey
Review 21:old style colonial type hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms on the small side especially the bathroom can be small
Review 22:The hotel has managed to keep it's traditional feel whilst adding the facilities that are now expected. The rooms are well designed with lovely sea views from the front, our bathroom was compact but chic and the public areas are calm and cool. Wifi is free. The dining room is pleasant and the sun terrace is a lovely place to eat your breakfast.
Review 23:Although the bathrooms have obviously been refurbished, there is no hand rail in the large walk in shower compartment, which is obviously quite slippery when wet. If you are a pool person, the pool area is very small. We were half board - the breakfast was ok but the evening meal was definitely not 4 star standard - nuggets and burgers one evening in an adults only hotel - perhaps the catering is now geared more towards the all inclusive.
Review 24:Location is excellent, room was clean and comfortable although our sea view was really a tree view. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient.
Review 25:food unfortunately there was not a great variety unless you liked fish
Review 26:the location was brilliant, relaxing.
Review 27:best Position in Porto Cristo, right on beach in centre of town, good value, would easily stay again if in this area.
Review 28:Excellent location with beautiful view over the harbor an see
Review 29:Location and breakfast
Review 30:Small pool. But as across the road from beach not a problem.
Review 31:The location.Food.friendly staff & Cleanliness of the hotel.
Review 32:room, view, bar, entertainment, location, value for money
Review 33:The location was wonderful facing the sea and able to watch the world go by below
Review 34:Realy liked this place. Clean and nice, close to port, very good location.
Review 35:Breakfast was a good choice but the hot food was almost cold. When arriving just ONE tea bag & ONE coffee for 2people, when I asked for milk I was told the tea & coffee were an offer for just the first night and not milk! This is defiantly not 4 star quality. The Hotel was Ok but not when your expecting to arrive at a 4star.
Review 36:The location
Review 37:Nothing - oh the shower fittings in my room were a bit primitive, not a big issue for me,
Review 38:The location is great. I like the age and the ambience particularly in the public areas.
Review 39:It was all good
Review 40:good hotel right on beach, ask for room at front with verandah 4th floor if possible. Rooms a bit small but goes with the price. Staff very good breakfast was excellent, dinner ok. We had a great stay there and recommend it.
Review 41:Make sure to get a sea-front room. The first night we tried a back-door room. Although same standard as a sea-front room (but a bit smaller), the sea front room makes the difference
Review 42:Location is key and the hotel's location is excellent. Breakfast is fine.Staff is doing what staff shall do. Directora Irma was present, available and helpful.
Review 43:dinner was one of the worst I've ever had in hotels - I would strongly recommend not to eat in the hotel - breakfast was good
Review 44:room was clean, spacy and nice - can't do any better; staff was friendly
Review 45:Friendly hardworking staff. The restaurant was great but need more variety. Desserts were excellent, I thought the chocolat croissants were better than the ones in Paris. Porto Cristo is beautiful and easy to get around the island by bus, even to Palmer and the bustop is just a few meters away. Love the view from my balcony. I have been there twice and intend to go back again. Had a fantastic time!
Review 46:The food is ofcourse "buffe-food" so don´t expect 5 star quality. You have to pay for water, wine and beer so drinks are not free like in "all-inclusive".
Review 47:Good value with morning buffe and evening dinner - Nice and comfy rooms, great staff!
Review 48:on departure we had to leave at 7.00 in morning so would miss breakfast when i asked if they could provide some breakfast they said yes and we were offered a coffe and 2 busciuts !! surely a roll / fruit would not be hard to arrange.
Review 49:the separate areas in reception especially the games room. food times were good. frendly staff
Review 50:The relatively small size of the dining room, and the limited two hour time slot for food service, could lead to overcrowding and queuing especially at the start of service. The last thing one wants at 8am is a queue a dozen deep for the coffee machine.
Review 51:Clean, well run hotel with friendly and helpful staff. On the front line in the middle of Porto Cristo over looking the beach and harbour. Close to the bus stop.
Review 52:Veneer peeling off doors and carpentry. Musty smell in bedroom. Aircondid not operate satisfactorily. Minimal tea/coffee making facilities- no tea or milk. The worse buffet dinner ever - fatty pork - unbonedfish - lukewarm dry food. Breakfast was passable. Only 4 star rating isthe advert - nothing else came up to this standard.
Review 53:Walk in shower as requested. Modern bathroom. Friendly helpful staff.Efficient bar staff.
Review 54:Beds were uncomfortable and bed linen desperately needs replacing. Bedroom was dated. Food was poor.
Review 55:Location of the hotel was excellent with wonderful views from our 4th floor balcony. The Spa.across the road was very nice and clean.
Review 56:Friendly & helpfull staff Sauna & spa, location
Review 57:spa a bit small
