Sud Hôtel sells fast on our site. The Sud Hotel is located just over 1 mile from the center of the port city of Bastia and less than 950 feet from Corsica’s eastern coast. It features free Wi-Fi access and a 24-hour front desk all year round. Arinella beach is a 10-minute walk away.

Review 1：Very nice place to stay in Bastia, even though it is a bit outside of the main attractions. The possibility of half pension was very good. Nice food, and very practical.

Review 2：Perfect for one night stay, in particular if you are heading for an early ferry leave. Easy to find, free parking. Cozy, quiet & clean room, spacious bathroom, comfy beds. Friendly & helpful staff. Tasty fresh and good value food in a hotel's canteen.Cozy patio with a fountain (doesn't feel you are on a busy street at all), ~20min. walking distance to Bastia old city.

Review 3：The hotel (our room was facing the road) is on a very loud road. Air condition was making some smell so we did not use it and had to sleep with windows open which was not convinient. Breakfast is basic and there were no clean plates so we had to wait for the plates to get washed.

Review 6：Tiny shabby, cell like room, with a small shower cubicle (could not bendover to pick up the shampoo, had to bend the knees and lower oneself)!No lift. Having read previous reviews there was some doubt about thefood quality on offer in the restaurant. I had a look at the foodwaiting in baskets (it looked very unappealing) and then sought out apizza close by. It is a good distance from the city centre, too far towalk. Wifi weak in the room. (Ok in reception).

Review 8：Not located in a particularly attractive area with little else around it in the way of bars, restaurants etc. Not really a hotel for a longer stay. Was not impressed that they took the whole payment for the rooms 2/3 days after booking and 4 months in advance, but worked out OK.

Review 9：Convenient for onward travel the next day after a late ferry arrival, nice clean well appointed rooms, good breakfast, a little way out of Bastia centre but the right side of town to visit the old port etc. Garage parking for motorcycles (for an extra charge).

The restaurant - though on first glance looking like a franchise-canteen - had delicious food for (compared to other Corse restaurants) quite cheap prices. All in all: an unresticted recommendation.

Review 71：The service of the staff is excellent. They know hospitality, are very helpful and know how to treat their guests well. The interior is well maintained, the rooms are comfortable, good beds and shower. The breakfast is good as well. We left after one night for the GR20 and could leave part of our luggage at the hotel for picking up a few days later without further charge. All and all a perfect price / quality ratio.

Review 72：Nothing really, just be aware that the hOtel restaurant is closed theweekend and the bus back from town centre stops early in the evening.Room didn't have a nice view (looking onto a courtyard with no charmwhatsoever) but then that wasn't Important for us for this stay. Wewere more concerned about the interior, price and location ( not too farfrom the hospital and accessible to town centre)

Review 73：We had a twin room on the first floor : clean, nicely decorated,comfortable beds and newly renovated bathroom. Staff we're extremelyhelpful (we had to go daily to the hospital) and gave us advice on someof the practical things we needed to deal with as well as things to doand places to see. We had originally booked for 2 nights, but needed toextend to 5. It was fine for us, but probably not the holiday hotel fora longer stay. It was excellent value for money (we had a good rate at54€) , quiet at this time of the year. Good breakfast both in qualityand presentation, and the evening meal if taken as half board was goodvalue for money at 15€ (we were't obliged to take that package everyday and we're able to mix with dinner out in Bastia)

Review 80：We would have found it useful to have had a fridge in the room butotherwise we could not fault this hotel. However, visitors relying onpublic transport need to be aware that buses are very infrequent at night-time. There is a free evening bus service on Fridays and Saturdays buteven on these days only three buses run between 9pm & midnight.

Review 81：The hotel was well situated between the town and the beautiful Arinellabeach, both accessible on foot or by bus. There is a bus stop and asupermarket within a few yards of the hotel. The rooms were basic butcomfortable with good air conditioning. One room was exceptionally quietwith very little sound even from the air conditioning, though someroadside noise was audible in the other room. There is a spaciousreception room with a well stocked bar, a large widescreen tv and acomputer for clients use. The buffet breakfast was of a good qualitywith plenty of choice and could be taken either on the terrace or in thedining room. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a hotel that Iwould be happy to recommend.

Review 82：Location not perfect its a bit of a hike into town. But not bad either. It just seemed a long trek after 8 hours of cycling !

Very convenient for catching the train to Corte without going intothe town. When inside the very pleasant hotel forgot it was on a throughroad. The airport bus dropped us off fairly close.
