Review 1：It would be nice to have wifi at the rooms and not only in the front desk area.

Review 2：The place has a gorgeous view at a very nice location in the countryside, but at the same time very close to the village. The building is also very beautiful.

Review 3：Room (104) was dirty (dust on floor, cobwebs and no ventilation in bathroom), dark (grey woodchip wallpaper), and smelled of damp. Also noisy (due to plumbing and patio tables - used by other patrons until 1.30 am - outside bedroom window.).

Review 5：The restaurant staff spoke no English, didn't seem to understand our Spanish, and even Portuguese proved no help. Maybe we should have tried French!

Review 7：If you are tempted to go to the nearby caves to see the paintings - don't bother. They are 21st century copies - you don't get to see the originals. One of the worst tourist attractions I have ever visited!

Review 8：Plenty of on-site parking and brilliant location for Santilla - a must-visit place in Northern Spain. It's probably less than a mile's walk downhill to get to the village which would not be good to visit by car. Quite a steep hill to return which is worth noting for older visitors who might not be so comfortable with hills - but no complaints here!

Review 9：Room very tired, bed springs (with sharp point) protruding through sheets, bathroom with cracked tiles and damp, very restricted dinner menu with no service. Hotel a longer walk from town than expected.

Review 15：Good quiet location just outside Santillana. Lovely terrace from which we saw a number of large birds of prey ? eagles. Very nice dinners and good to have a swimming pool on site. Very friendly staff and very good value for money.

Review 16：I fell down the steps and finished up with stitches in my head. I think a rail on the stairs would be a good idea.also more lighting at the bottom of the stairs.

Review 18：Everything was ok it has a lift if you have trouble with stairs. We had extra drinks at a very reasonable cost.The road outside is used by at least 4 vehicles a day, so no problem.Nice pool to cool of in.
