Reviews for Chambres d'hôtes L'Escale Malouine
Review 1:A wonderful little bed and breakfast; I would select it again without thinking. The owner was one of the most charming and pleasant people I have met in many years of travel.
Review 2:The host was very gracious and helpful she waited till late to receive us and was up very early in the morning to make sure we had our coffee before we left. I had chosen this property based on a review score of 9.6 and a headline of ' near perfect '. I have to say that I agree!!
Review 3:It felt like a very small 5 star hotel, extremely tasteful, stylish and well kept with a good location near the beach and the restaurants. The room was spotlessly clean, well equiped, it had super comfy bed and the best towels and shower (the shower bath and shampoo!) ever! Even a hair flatiron was in the bathroom. Breakfast was far the best we ever had in such a small hotel. The host is very friendly and helpful and parking is free in this street! We will definitely come again!
Review 4:We had a lovely stay. Veronique, the hostess went the extra mile to make us comfortable and she even booked us a table at a nice restaurant prior our arrival. The breakfast pleases every taste - from cheese, ham to jars of jam and fruit. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Dunkirk. It's close to the seaside and town centre as well.
Review 5:the owner is extremely friendly. i was on a bike tour from London-Amsterdam i was late for the checkin, she made and exception and even offered some food. very customer oriented, which is not a given in all places on earth! the place in itself is clean and nice breakfast also included strongly recommend

Review 27:Our host gave us a very warm welcome and showed us to our room. Afterwards, she asked what food we liked and recommended a restaurant on the seafront; she even called the restaurant to make the reservation for us. The set meal there at 'Comme Vous Voulez' was excellent. The room was extremely spacious, comfortable, and modern, and had a nice en-suite with shower cubicle. Breakfast was great with a nice choice of food and drink. The coffee was great too. We would definitely come back next time we come to France and highly recommend this Chambres d'hôtes.

Review 76:we only booked 1 night and due to our iteniary couldn't stay any longer

Review 81:The incredibly friendly and hospitable owner. The quality and comfort of the rooms. The amazing breakfast and the little things that make the difference: dressing gowns, a beer on arrival, a packet of biscuits for the journey. Excellent!

Review 83:Great location, great value and the owner is a real delight, nothing is too much effort.
Review 84:On arrival we had to park round the corner, where we felt our unloading the car was being watched by youths. We were able to move the car in front of the house later on, which felt more secure.
Review 85:The property was delightful with stylish rooms. We received a very warm welcome and advice on restaurants for the evening. Breakfast was the best continental breakfast I can remember.
Review 86:This property is very unassuming from the outside but then you walk in to this magnificent and very beautiful residence. All of the rooms are spacious and very stylish as well as very practical, with everything you might need. We were on the top floor, with a little balcony and the deepest bath :-) The breakfast room, where we were treated to a beer (or anything else) on our arrival, has the most amazing glass ceiling.. stunning! Breakfast was great, plentiful continental style.. yum! Veronique is a wonderful hostess and a very kind and lovely lady. She speaks perfect English.. so much better than my French will ever be! L'Escale Malouine is a gem hidden within the shops, just a very short amble from the beautiful beach and eateries. I regularly travel across countries and have to say that I felt incredibly comfortable and very happy here. We're trying to find a reason to return.. but then again, who needs a reason to come back to such a fantastic place??? Thank you Veronique!! :-)
