Reviews for Beaune Hôtel
Review 1:The walls seemed a bit thin as we could hear the people in the next room, and presume they could hear us.
Review 2:well-placed to visit the town of Beaune, and good to be able to park at the hotel. Excellent wi-fi. good breakfast.
Review 3:The staff are very friendly, but doesn't speak English.
Review 4:Walking distance to city center. Nice & clean room with a rustic atmosphere. Then interior court was a calm place to relax. Wifi was good. There is garage parking available at a nominal additional cost which is safe and secure and entered at night via a coded lock, as is the hotel.
Review 5:Hotels in Beaune are very expensive. This hotel is only a few minutes from the centre and has a very spacious outdoor area. Very good breakfast. Plenty of car parking (extra charge) and secure storage for cycles. Very good value.
Review 6:would've liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room
Review 7:Excellent location. Just far enough from the centre to be able to walk off the evening meal! Helpful staff great secure parking for only 5€. perfect for a stay en route
Review 8:Not really a bad experience but nearly - almost found ourselves locked out at 9:30pm. Luckily found the gate code in a pocket. No problem if you listen to reception staff and remember to take the code with you when you go out to dinner!!!
Review 9:Good location in a very pretty town.
Review 10:We loved Mohamed at front desk. ALSO the inner courtyard was lovely with kids play equipment. Delightful atmosphere for kids to play while adults have a quiet aperitif after driving or sightseeing all day.
Review 11:Room 11 should be avoided, everyone had breakfast outside your window and it's right next to the reception so everyone trundles past in the morning. Also, the walls are very thin so you can hear everything that goes on. Breakfast was typical French - bread and cheese, there would have been croissants but they had run out even though we were down at 9 (supposed to be available until 10)
Review 12:We used this as a stopover coming back from Nice to Calais. The reception closed at 9pm and they left instructions on how to get in along with the room details stuck to the front door - very trustworthy of them!
Review 13:No AC in the middle of July stinks. They did offer a fan which helped. Located on outskirts of town
Review 14:Friendly people who worked there. Felt safe and very private setting. Modestly priced.
Review 15:The room smelled of wet dogs & the shower was tiny
Review 16:Good location, secure garage meant did not have to bring bikes into our room, near the centre of town but easy to find from motorway
Review 17:No air con... but windows open so once lights out that was awesome... better than air con in the end
Review 18:Towel rail was great as help air some things. Wide opening windows with shutters
Review 19:No milk, sugar or cereal offered at breakfast. Black tea had to suffice. No fixed shower - hand held shower head with a bath.
Review 20:Great location. Easy access from the motorway and a short walk into town. Quiet, and comfortable beds. Large family room.
Review 21:No air conditioner or bar fridge in the room, receptionist didn't speak English upon arrival, which made it a little difficult to check-in (but we managed to communicate with our broken French and the lady was very lovely)
Review 22:Cute little hotel, clean room and bathroom, parking available, good location (close to town centre)
Review 23:However we were put upstairs in the rooms that are not seen on the website. I was disappointed. Breakfast was adequate.
Review 24:Pretty courtyard and friendly staff and secure parking. Lovely downstairs rooms. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
Review 25:Our room, was small, basic and VERY HOT. No aircon or fan. No bar so after a long drive, couldn't even get a cold drink.
Review 26:Location - walking distance to the town. Pretty courtyard Breakfast Under cover secure parking
Review 27:Dated decore. Thin walls, could hear neighbours well.
Review 28:Very atmosfaric buildings and court yard. Excellent and friendly staff. Security with gated entrance with easy code access. Possibility of covered parking in newly refurbished old barn garage at small extra cost. Great breakfast.
Review 29:On very busy corner: fairly constant road noise when sitting outside, although room was quiet. Reception is manned only part time.
Review 30:Excellent garage, though initially the way in was not obvious. Nice sun terrace with plenty of chairs and loungers. Lovely flowers. Good wifi.
Review 31:Lovely room, simple but comfortable. Heated towel rack in bathroom wonderful; good shower. Quality breakfast, helpful staff. 10 minute beautiful walk to middle of old walled city.
Review 32:Explicitly asked for a baby bed (by email and by phone), which the staff forgot to install. Due to our late arrival the reception was closed and we didn't get the baby bed and had to arrange differently which meant that one of our family had to sleep in the same bed with the baby and basically missed a night sleep. Then next morning we received a well meant, but too late apologies.
Review 33:As we arrived late, we already received the entrance code, the room number and the number of our parking space. Perfect.
Review 34:Travelling on a motorcycle, the undercover car park was useful. The staff were very helpful and the room was very comfortable, what more could you want!
Review 35:Tiny room Bad bathroom with shower head not able to hook up. Water in the shower cubical does not flow properly.
Review 36:The location and covered private car park Excellent wifi
Review 37:Shower had good solid stream of hot water - good. No wall handle so had to hold the shower head for the shower. Minor.
Review 38:Welcoming staff. Breakfast service with a smile. Freshest crunchy croissants, jams, baguette, juice, coffee hot chocolate. Good value breakfast option. Parking on site - tight if all parks are taken (not so our stay). Room was adequate. Family of 5 - 3 single beds in loft style room (angled roof so not for a tall family). Easy walk up the street to town centre.
Review 39:It was a bit of a walk from the train station, but I don't imagine many people would go on foot.
Review 40:The Beaune Hotel was a breath of fresh air after our visit to Paris. The space is clean, simple, and meets all needs. There's also a nice courtyard perfect for sipping wine and relaxing. The staff was friendly and very accommodating and breakfast was lovely!
Review 41:Didn't realise we would have to pay to park although parking was secure.
Review 42:The hotel was in an ideal location only ten minute walk to the centre of Beaune. It was very clean, bed comfortable and bathroom adequate.
Review 43:Nothing at all!
Review 44:Location, just outside the wall but a 2 minute walk into the centre of town Breakfast was cheap and yummy Bed was comfy Around the corner from a supermarket Comfy Bed Staff were amazing
Review 45:too short a stay
Review 46:Great deal in Central Beaume Friendly Staff extra effort when we arrived very late. Beaume is a must see town for overseas travellers, beautiful place to visit
Review 47:- only double bed, no twin beds - room and especially windows looked quite out-dated, it was not possible to fix an open window a certain way (i.e. to make just a little opening for some air to come in).
Review 48:- great location 10 min away from the center of town - very spacious parking on-site, better to reserve beforehand (costs 5 euro/ day) - big bathroom with bath - decent breakfast - bueautiful courtyard, our room was facing it so it was very quiet during the night
Review 49:We mislaid our pass number for getting in after 9pm, we're very lucky to find another couple late also. - our fault entirely. No-one on site late if needed.
Review 50:Close to centre of town. Quiet, good sleep.
Review 51:Musty/moldy smell in the nightstands, had to move them outside to sleep! Extra 5 euro charge to park, although there is a large covered area.
Review 52:Just a few blocks from old city. Nice outdoor seating area. Can buy coffee without having to buy breakfast. Ask for hair dryer at desk.
Review 53:Decor in the room, but that's just a matter of personal taste
Review 54:Very well maintained Helpful staff Very clean Comfortable bed Wifi worked Secure parking Nice courtyard Very good breakfast
Review 55:Nothing.
Review 56:Ideal for us as a quick stop over on our journey. Secure private parking. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Short walk into centre of Beaune and restaurants. This was our second stay, so that says it all.
Review 57:Nothing really. Suited us for an overnight stay.
Review 58:Ideal for us as a quick stop over on our journey. Secure private parking. Comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Short walk into centre of Beaune and restaurants.
Review 59:We had a family room, which was basically a double room with an extra bed. To say we were a bit pushed for space would be something of an understatement, though it was only for one night so didn't really matter. For longer stays, however, this would have been a problem.
Review 60:Really friendly and very welcoming staff. Breakfast was simple but good. Very conveniently located for the city. Parking excellent, which was very important for us.
Review 61:Not being able to open a bathroom window. The level of noise in the room, all night and the hard mattress and pillows. An inside room may well have been better.
Review 62:Location and friendly staff, good secure parking
Review 63:A little noisy and Wi Fi was unreliable Dropped out frequently No English speaking staff to help with WiFi problems during our stay
Review 64:Close to city for sightseeing
Review 65:We had requested a cot on the booking form. It's the first time I've been charged 12 euros for a cot without even being asked whether I accept the charge, given it wasn't mentioned at all. It's also rather irritating that everyone else seems to have been reviewing the Hotel de Beaune, which is a 4-star hotel smack in the middle of town. Our room hadn't been refurbished and looked like something out of an 80s horror movie. The bathrooms were tiny, with a shower you couldn't turn around in, and no bath. I would have appreciated it if the website had made the lack of bath more obvious, as it was rather difficult washing an 11 month old in a tiny shower.
Review 66:There was plenty of parking, and the refurbished rooms were nicely decorated.
Review 67:Noisy neighbours, squeaking doors and floorboards.
Review 68:Sunny courtyard where one could have a drink or take breakfast. Quaint rooms, well equipped and the bath was a bonus.
Review 69:Very clean according to French norms! Helpfull and very correct personel. Price-quality wise: Excellent for its price! Very well located to explore Beaune walking: close to the center. And yet also easy to explore the region by car.
Review 70:Breakfast room a little cramped and not really suited for our table of 5. Furnishings dated - two chairs had ripped material. Daughters found room adjacent to road noisy. Attic room had limited head height for tall teenagers - Bathroom head height also limited over sink.
Review 71:Quirky hotel with 2 room attic accommodation and bathroom for the five of us. Convenient location on edge of town - although have to pay for parking. Good breakfast. Nice owner/manager
Review 72:The room: we had booked the cheapest twin room so we didn't expect anything more than medium sized; however it was a tiny corner room with a very small en suite shower room; I've been happy with small en suites before but this was poorly designed with abysmal lighting. Our room was quite tired.
Review 73:Location: the best feature of this hotel as it is a 5 minute walk to the old town; however it is on a fairly busy junction. The hotel has a pleasant garden area to sit in. Secure undercover car parking (small fee).
Review 74:Bathroom didn't have a bathmat and one of our party slipped over and hurt herself in the bath. Please provide!
Review 75:lovely country hotel with great service and spacious rooms. Good breakfast.
Review 76:I was not aware that the hotel closed when I arrived at 12:30pm. What hotel closes ? Really ? Ok, so my driver called the proprietor and came in to school me on his polisicies and that was so not necessary but very French and rude. He was a gracious man but wouldn't allow a late check out @ 12pm. Which is the norm in most all French and abroad hotels. 11 am really ? Then incessantly called me at 11:01 while I was in the shower. I checked out at 11:19 am never to return.
Review 77:The court yard was nice but it was not in a good location fir my taste.
Review 78:room decor could be updated
Review 79:Cycling amenities: the owner has built a secure parking shed for bicycles. The garden patio is accessible to all rooms. The family-run hotel was accommodating to our early arrival. Location just outside the town walls.
Review 80:the bath was extremely slippery, and my elderly mum slipped over. Please provide a bath mat!
Review 81:lovely rooms, great breakfast buffet, so glad you had shady parking facilities!
Review 82:Covered parking inside secure area connected to hotel was a surprise but worth it to avoid any chance of problems with parking on the street or off site. Parallel parking spaces are tight for regular size cars.
Review 83:Location... Easy walk to get fresh bread & pastries. We returned to Beaune & stayed 1 night at this location to walk to Joseph Drouhin & Loiseau des Vignes. Not a lux hotel but nice court yard, quiet, clean and good for the budget. Saved money staying at this hotel to spend on wine & fine dinning. Easy to use security system after hours at night so guests can come & go as they like.
Review 84:No aircon, and matress protector made the bed feel hot.
Review 85:Location in the center of town, General standard of hotel was excellent. Very nice building right alongside the river.
Review 86:Very clean and tidy very friendly people parking in house is great only 5 minutes walk to center

Review 118:Cleanliness, friendly reception
Review 119:The location is great. The staff is exceptionally helpful. The breakfast is superb. The rooms are small and modest, which is fine with me.
