Review 7:Very Friendly. I travelled by Motorcycle and was told to park my bike right outside the hotel entrance! Was great to be treated like a human being not a man behind a helmet. Biker Friendly!

Review 8:Very friendly reception, welcoming to my terriers and myself. The location was superb, right on the beach and it was excellent value for money, with free public parking nearby. The price is very good and there are even complimentary tooth and shaving kits. I will be coming back!

Review 9:Nothing really :]

Review 17:very rude staff, only one towel per person,

Review 18:The Beach next to the hotel (1min walk), nice&clean room with balcony, friendly owner, many amenities in bathroom

Review 19:Nothing r early even the fact that we had no tea was not really an issue

Review 20:The close proximity to the beach and restaurants the friendly staff the only thing missing was a cup of tea in the room

Review 21:Some distance from the city centre. Not much room in the bathroom. sink and shelf not a great amount of space to shave. Shower did not look good. But actually was not bad.

Review 22:The hotel was clean and tidy. Close to beach and restaurants. Breakfast was good plenty to choose from. Which cost 7 euros each per day. I think should be blended in room charge.

Review 23:Loved the location because we were interested in WWII memorials. This hotel was just a short walk from the memorial. The hotel's restaurant and staff were exceptional.

Review 24:we allways like staying there the people are always very friendly and its lovely to sit out on the balcony and look out to the beach and watch what is going on a lovely place.

Review 25:Decor a bit tired and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room

Review 26:Great location just off beautiful sandy beaches, but walking distance in to town centre

Review 27:The smell of old cooking oil and fish which permeated up the stairwell was off putting, which made me chose elsewhere to eat. Very difficult to gauge beachside restaurants as most were closed as out of season.

Review 36:Lovely sea view, bathroom is small. Room well decorated, they had upgraded some features in the bathroom but not all so this did spoil it a little.

Review 37:Unfortunately we arrived Monday when the restaurant is closed in evening, but plenty of restaurants nearby. Seaview marred by Docks, but that can't be helped.

Review 38:Location - overlooking sea and next to good local seafood retaurants. Pleasant welcoming proprietor, English speaking. Good basic hotel for 1 - 2 nights. Small balcony to watch sea. Fresh, ample, varied local breakfast. .

Review 39:Nothing really, but you to remember that this is just a one star, so don't expect 4 star facilities at 1 star prices!!

Review 40:The owner was incredibly helpful, breakfast was very good, excellent location overlooking the sea with bars and restaurants close by

Review 41:As we arrived some other guests were entering so followed in hadn't realised was a intercom system....we're then waiting over ten minutes after ringing bell twice to be greeted by owner with the words....how did you get in? Once inside it was dark and dingy corridors very poorly lit room tiny but clean no tea making facilities heat was unbearable had to leave balcony door open and noise was dreadfull as on busy street....no windows air con not even extractor in bathroom. Bed was hard and sank in middle....very sad ending to two and a half weeks in France.

Review 84:very friendly , comfortable , nothing was to much trouble even tho we arrived 3 hours before check in time we was allowed to check in

Review 85:The room was clean but the shower fixing had partly come away from the wall but was still usable. At the time of our visit on a Saturday, there was a music festival on the beach front, all the restuarants were very busy but despite having a nice restuarant in the hotel it was closed.

Review 86:Good location close to the beach and city centre.

Review 87:door on shower/toilet did not close properly. the tv was set too high which gave you neck ache trying to watch it.

Review 88:the breakfast could not be faulted. excellent choice and plenty .

Review 89:noise from flashing water in toilet,,noise and way splashing water same as in aeroplane :)

Review 91:Dusty floor, and the toilet/bathroom was a bit of a mess.

Review 92:Good location, very close to the beach. Nice breakfast. Free parking beside the building.

Review 93:Excellant location, right next to beech, 2 restaurants within 50yds, superb for short stay, might want bigger if staying longer but cannot fault for short break, nice views if you get room with balcony, only slight minus is toilet and shower very small.

Review 94:Has no elevator - so take into account if you are not stair friendly.

Review 95:Is rated as a One Star Locally. Has all the basics. Friendly owner. Busy renewing second floor. Breakfast was affordable and good

Review 96:room was very small

Review 97:lovely staff. great location next to the beach. good choice of parking for our motorcycle. breakfast was ok...we didn't starve!

Review 98:When we walked in the room it smelled of drains/sewerage. The sani-loo started to leak water all over the floor. This was quickly replaced by the owner but the smell still persisted overnight. Shower door did not seal, letting water all over the floor with the middle shower head broken. The shower dripped water overnight and had to place a towel on the base to keep it quiet.

Review 99:The owners was very helpful and friendly and the restaurant meals was excellent.

Review 100:need a bit work in corridors and bathroom.

Review 101:very good location. friendly staff. we stayed over night and would come again even they need a bit work done there.

Review 102:No food or bar facilities available. Bar does not open on a Sunday and after 6 hours travelling, would have liked to have been able to relax

Review 103:Easy walking to beach.

Review 104:Noise from other guests at night/Morning, wer curtailed our visit due to being woken by guests talking in othe near romms

Review 105:Near the beach and handy for the centre shopping

Review 106:It's a small hotel, in a convenient location close to the beach, with friendly owners. Our room had a nice balcony with a view of the sea. The breakfast was good, and served in a very stylish bar/restaurant.

Review 107:The exterior of the building was looking 'very tired' and some of the interior also. The corridor leading to our room had a broken, paint stained coir floor covering, a possible hazard!

Review 108:The location - just a short walk to the beach.

Review 109:The beach area is quiet during the day but on the Friday night we werethere it went a bit crazy, with some lunatic karaoke singer actuallyblocking the street with an assembled crowd and singing dreadful songsuntil well after midnight. There were many hundreds of people on thebeachfront.

Review 110:The staff are nice, parking is ok, location is next to beach

Review 111:Very good location, very near the beach in Dunkirk with free parking. Extremely friendly greeting. A basic but nice hotel and excellent for a stop-over.

Review 112:Very comfortable and quiet. However, if you like Rock music book thishotel around the 21st June as the roads around the hotel are alivewith bands and along the Malo version of the Golden Mile, well intothe evening.

Review 113:Rooms, especially the bathrooms were very small and a little worn.Didn't like the macerating toilets, very noisy.

Review 114:Very convenient for ferries and tunnel. Owner put motorbikes in his lockup garage for us.Very helpful, spoke perfect English. Plenty of bars and places to eat all around. Casino just across the road. Almost right on the sea front, small balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. Food in the bar was very good. Menu in French but we were able to get help with the translation. Bed comfy. Breakfast cost €7 per head and had a good choice for continental.

Review 115:For the reasonable cost the hotel is adequate but lacks a lift, and the toilet draiage is small bore saniflo type which is noisy

Review 116:The Hotel is well located and the rooms are of a good size and well furnished for a short stay. The Restaurant is excellent with a wide menu and first rate quality and presentation

Review 117:Nothing seemed to be open on a Wednesday in Dunkirk. Not the hotelsfault though. Bathroom was very small.

Review 118:Ok for an overnight stay prior to catching ferry to the uk. Wifi was okwhen it worked. Had some problems with it but the owner re-booted it andit then was ok.

Review 119:Bathroom very small. Couldn't close shower door. Smell of drains. Room could have been cleaner - cobwebs hanging from ceiling. No lift.

Review 120:Good location near beach. Bars and restaurants nearby. Parking at back of hotel. Reception not manned all the time but we rang the door bell and the manager came down to let us in. Good continental breakfast.

Review 121:Not really the hotels fault but the whole town of Malo les Bains looks a bit tired, could do with a big facelift. Still, everyone i met was very friendly and helpful.

Review 122:Helpful staff, proximity of restaurants and beach.

Review 123:Customer service was very poor. On booking, the hotel emailed me askingme to ensure I arrived during check in times of 12-3pm or 6-9pm. I gotthere at 1pm and there were no staff around, just a contact number whichwent straight to an answer phone. Had to phone booking.com who chased upthe owner. They eventually called me back to see if I could wait 5hrstil 6pm to check in - ridiculous. They eventually gave me a code and Ichecked myself in. For breakfast the owner asked what time I would likeit. Served between 7-9am hey said. I said 7.30am. That morning at 7.30amthere was no one there and when they arrived at 8am, they laughed at mesaying did I not know it was a French bank holiday and that everythingis running later - why did they not tell me this when they asked me theday before what time I wanted breakfast. They did not even offer anapology for my inconvenience and costly international phone callschasing them up throughout my stay. This was a real shame as the hotelwas quite nice. Customer service was really quite awful.

Review 124:Nice compact room with good views from balcony - good value.

Review 125:the room was very small and there was no kettle and my husband and i like to have a cup of tea first thing in the morning

Review 126:the room was clean and the toiletries were very good

Review 127:Area a bit scruffy. Info in the room states restaurant only open Thurs-Sunday but we realised too late that it was open the rest of the week?Room décor a bit 'tired'. Bathroom rather compact - showermastic roughly applied. Not much clothes hanging space.

Review 128:Seaside position - balcony. Restaurant in the hotel. Good selection oflocal restaurants. Owner friendly. Free parking. Walking distance totown centre.
