Reviews for Auberge de l'Impossible

Review 1:Quiet, peaceful setting. Traditional Auberge.Very friendly and helpful owners. Beautiful balcony with view, parking and close to old Briancon. Very clean and great value for money

Review 2:Wifi had a tendency to drop out.

Review 3:The French Alps! I only know what IS possible at this place, and that's a lot! The hot tub/sauna is great but looks like it's included in the room rate (it's not).

Review 4:The hotel is very noisy. In addition, there is no common room for sitting together in the evening.

Review 5:The location of the hotel is very nice, it is not expensive and the owner very friendly.

Review 6:The directions are misleadibg! The area if Serré-Chevalier extends along the mountain area so finding the right area, which turned out to be just before you reach Briancon coming from Grenoble, in the dark was a chalkenge as our GPS kept telling us it was in Brazil!

Review 7:In October there is very little open along the Serre-Chevalier extensive valley! So finding a comfortable, welcoming, clean hotel was wonderful! The ownet operator is keen to make sure you are well taken care of. The room was typical of a budget ski chalet type longing, and the continental breakfast was very good and well presented in the light and airy dining room.

Review 8:Parking bit small. (no decicated motorcycle parking). Bit noisy between rooms

Review 9:Location, centre of the alps. Clean

Review 10:Nice place to stay with friendly staff!

Review 11:Excellent location. Fabulous local food and warm welcome from Pierre & Caroline.

Review 12:Very comfortable and clean room. The proprietress was extremely helpful with information and cooked us a lovely meal at short notice

Review 13:Wi fi often fails to operate as it should

Review 14:Staff very kind, room clean and confortable, strategic position.

Review 15:room small no shower

Review 16:comfortable bed

Review 17:Staff most helpful in answering questions (where to find things in Briancon). Coffee was brought to our room promptly on request. Easy to find (good clear sign by the entrance) and plenty of parking.

Review 18:The entree/exit to the parking area: for motorcycles a difficult and dangerous bend, and you can't see oncoming traffic on both sides

Review 19:Friendly hostess, the little balcony, good bed

Review 20:Grounds very neglected. Weeds, overgrown and untidy. Room small. Shower old and not easy to use. No tea or coffee making facilities. No arrival information on meal plans etc.

Review 21:1st floor room and tiny balcony

Review 22:Room is small, reception barely can speak any English.

Review 23:The village is worth to see, location is good if you drive. Breakfast isacceptable for that price.

Review 24:A nice clean hotel only a 10 minute walk to briancon, plenty of choicefor breakfast and a lovely set 3 course meal in the evening, no englishspoken but we survived 2 days no problem. When we arrived at 3pm therewas no one there until 4pm (the same when guests arrived the next day)we were bursting for the toilet so we went to mcdonalds just down theroad and waited until 4pm, if you`re arriving early best to check thatsomeone will be there.

Review 25:A little bit too close from the main road, and a little lack of insonorisation

Review 26:The staff is really friendly and make its best to welcome us.

Review 27:It was difficult to get out of the parking without chains when it had been snowing.

Review 28:Pleasant and warm reception by the owners.

Review 29:Great location and helpful staff.

Review 30:The friendliness of the staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to meet our needs.
