Reviews for Hotel Lodomar Spa & Talasoterapia

Review 1:Have suggested full length mirror before in both apartments and bedrooms, still missing, kitchen equipment and utensils need to be added to actually cook in apartment but good storage

Review 2:Booking, check in and paying simple and speedy. Spa affordable, enjoyable with treatments available. Cleanliness and cleaning excellent ,chambermaid excellent and pleasant As a solo traveller always feel comfortable, safe and welcomed

Review 3:I had a facial and massage not very good a lot of money won't do that agsin

Review 4:Love everything about it have been 8 times now but you must take a travel kettle for your morning cuppa in room

Review 5:this time we got apartment with one room right next to the 'water pump engine' outside. at night irregular drilling-like sounds were strong enough to resonate through the walls and were extremely annoying, so we had to sleep with kids in another room

Review 6:location. mar minor and surroundings are among the best seaside places to visit in Spain in autumn comfortable, clean rooms (apartments)

Review 7:We has an appartment, could have done with starter pack, dish cloth, washing up liquid , tea towel, not a lot but a little, would have been a nice touch

Review 8:The standard of the appartement far exceeded our expectations and the pool area was delightful. Breakfast was very good and our personal balcony was spacious.Easy parking in September.

Review 9:Just one receptionist very unfriendly

Review 10:We liked everything about this hotel couldn't fault it at all frosty receptionist was the only fault found it best to wait until she was of duty

Review 11:Although the breakfast buffet was really excellent in quality, quantity and variety of food available it was very disappointing to have dinner in the same restaurant. We arrived at 10.10 due to a late flight, & the restaurant hrs advertised till 10.30 but we were welcomed in & told by headwaiter that they were open. Discovered dinner was also buffet style, €16/head. However staff were obviously anxious to close, so serving implements removed, poor salad selection, bay marie food cold. ( did not keep any food warm throughout 4 days althoughstaff were informed). Chicken & salmon were cooked on the grill, sadly not good quality and overdone with little appetising to accompany. Fortunately we were more tired than hungry. Dessert small selection, average quality. (suggest adding yoghurt & fruit selection as in breakfast buffet, & ice-cream) Despite a pleasant headwaiter the food & experience left us feeling we had intruded, would have been far better with a snack from the bar. A huge contrast to breakfast, I feel this must be an exception so advise going early to dinner 7pm? would probably be a very different experience. You need a car in this location if you want to explore around the area. Bus stop opposite hotel but no buses. 26€ taxi to airport, 60€ taxi to murcia, but the hotel is perfect for a beach holiday though.

Review 12:immaculately clean rooms maintained throughout by very pleasant staff who obviously take great care & pride in their work. All of the hotel was very clean. Front desk, bar & cleaning staff were all wonderful, truly customer focused. Dining room clean, bright & modern. Excellent buffet breakfast., probably best selection, variety & quality I have seen in spain, all well presented, clean, accessable and well maintained. Pool also spotless & water perfect. Lifegaurd also provided toys when kids were in pool & was genuinely attentive. Bar staff good, good snacks available too etc. Very impressive Only 10mins walk for beach, shops, restaurants.

Review 13:This is a hotel for Spanish holiday makers. As the only British people there and most signage in Spanish, it didn't feel that welcoming. By far the most negative experience was the late night entertainment which was 3 nights a week from 10-12/1am. Our apartment was overlooking this and so the entertainment was very loud. Sleep was impossible until it finished. It seemed to be far more geared around the the Spanish culture so if you are happy with this, the hotel is fine.

Review 14:The staff were friendly, the apartment spacious, really clean, the air conditioning and wifi were very good

Review 15:We stayed for a week, and cleaning was only once and it was one day before we left so could have been somewhere in the middle.

Review 16:We stayed at the apartment next to hotel. Nice, well equipped, good size apartment. Very close to the hotel services like pool, and reception. Nice size terrace. Good location in San Pedro del Pinatar , about 500 mt from the main beach. Hotel also clean and nice. Also the staff helpful especially the young ladies. Bike rental from the hotels works well.

Review 17:Quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Good working air con in rooms and rest of hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast with lots of healthy choices.

Review 18:Nice hotel. Good facilities. Quiet area. Snack bar was great. Didn't get dinner there but be wary of beach restaurants near the hotel as they are very bad quality. Best to walk over the beach a bit to eat.

Review 19:Food was very average for a four star hotel. Air conditioning not working which meant one or two uncomfortable nights due to unseasonably higher temperatures.

Review 20:Good location, comfortable beds and clean rooms. Helpful front desk staff. Underground car parking although at extra cost.

Review 21:I think the cushions on beds could be softer, more comfortable. In general, everything is good.

Review 22:I liked the location, comfort, cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, affordable prices. SPA is one of the best, the staff are very hospitable and helpful. Thank you!

Review 23:Wi fi was intermittent in rooms manager tried to sort but I think our teenagers had too many devices! Swimming pool not heated Indoor pool being repaired so didn't use hotel facilities Didn't reply to emails so couldn't arrange airport pick up

Review 24:Hiring bikes from hotel, beatiful rides round salt lakes 5 mins away. Apartment lovely Breakfast on site first day at hotel very easy

Review 25:- kettle was old and rusty. did not bother asking for replacement, boiled water in a pan. - restaurant in the hotel is more expensive than cafes on the beach (some of which are very good) - hotel spa was closed

Review 26:we stayed in apartments, not hotel. end of October, place was nearly empty. large comfy rooms. 10 min walking to the Mar Menor beach. wonderful path for walking/jogging/cycling along Mar Menor to the sea. Salt lakes / Mud baths are great. nice city of Cartagena is about 40 min away by car.

Review 27:There was nothing to dislike although a double bed would have been better for us than twins but minor point.

Review 28:Great value and had everything we needed. Helpful staff and great spa facilities.

Review 29:Chef not available until having to ask breakfast assistant to ask the chef to come and fry eggs etc. Tea & coffee facility in rooms not available

Review 30:Variety of food for breakfast

Review 31:There was little privacy while outside although this had tried to be addressed by high conifers. There were no English TV channels Pool area very sparse and disappointing.

Review 32:The ground floor apartment was spacious but dated! Wifi reception was good in room There was sufficient kitchen facilities and even a washing machine!

Review 33:Scarlett Pimpernel the chef on the hot counter in the dining room. The most expert person to disappear from the counter when someone would be looking for a fresh omelette etc. Very annoying for people to be just sitting again when she would appear. Has the management fooled up to their eyes.

Review 34:The staff are friendly and helpful the food is excellent and good value for money except for what is described in the other side of the questionnaire. The staff on the rooms could not be more helpful

Review 35:The decor, cool and clean interiors, very efficient staff who dealt with a small niggle quickly, lovely pool. Only there for four nights, great breakfast - used restruant once and it was very good and great value.

Review 36:When we got to our room.....surprise surprise ..the room had not been cleaned... so we had to return to recption and notify the staff...as we had notified previous to booking we would be arriving late evening...so l cannot understand why we were given a dirty room...at 10.20 at night it wasnt very welcoming...at least the recptionist apologized..and quickly changed our room

Review 37:Could do with a bit more activity for older children , maybe a games room or pool table, we would stay in hotel more on an evening :-)

Review 38:Stayed in apartments this time round with our kids 13 and 8 they loved the pool plenty of space in apartment and lived the fact we had a washer ! Staff and breakfast were eXcellent thank you we will be back :) the smales family

Review 39:No wifi being available on the fourth floor and having to come down to reception/cafe to get coverage.

Review 40:Could easily walk to the beach. Spa facilities were excellent.

Review 41:Nice hotelapartment with friendly staff. The area is interesting with the salt-production and flamingos. A fine pool with a small childrens pool. There is a lifeguard.

Review 42:First room we were given was unmade, the time was approx 10-30pm. We had had a long day at the airport and just wanted to climb into bed, but we had to go back to reception and inform them the room had not been cleaned or made up. We had to wait about 20mins before being given another room.

Review 43:The position was very good, so too was breakfast.

Review 44:Nothing to dislike.

Review 45:Very clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Review 46:Wifi in bedroom poor quality.

Review 47:Great clean hotel close to most places. Fantastic spa and massage centre

Review 48:My room has no sun :-(

Review 49:Nothing to dislike-but bring the mosquito repellent!

Review 50:Unique location at the salinas and mud baths, Excellent value with very good food.

Review 51:Excellent staff impeccable throughout

Review 52:We stayed in an apartment, which was exactly as advertised.

Review 53:Poor wifi. Some of the staff were rude

Review 55:the reception staff were very friendly. as were the breakfast staff

Review 70:Staff friendly and had good english pool and spa

Review 71:dining staff were slow and kept us waiting

Review 72:location and the bike hire

Review 73:Great staff & room was lovely & clean.

Review 74:no kettle in room, no bbc news

Review 75:staff friendly, room very clean, food good, central to what we required, spa good

Review 76:Evening meal could be better.

Review 77:Spa facilities and staff

Review 78:Having to pay extra to use the indoor spa facilities.

Review 79:Not able to extend our leaving time to enable us to enjoy an eleven o clock booking in the spa.

Review 80:The spa area

Review 81:Lack of choise of food in restaurant No tea or coffee in room

Review 82:Pool, room

Review 83:Limited variety on menu no uk channels on tv no basin or bath plug

Review 84:The salt pool and spa were amazing

Review 85:Just returned from a week at Lodomar Spa. We booked an apartment and we were very pleased with the facilities. The apartment was very clean, the air conditioning was efficient and the shower had a powerful flow. The staff at reception were very pleasant and spoke good English. We will certainly return to this hotel next year. Highly recommended.

Review 86:When I booked I was asked if the stay was for a special occasion. I stated that it was my husbands birthday and thought we may have got a complementary bottle of wine in our room. There was nothing left for him.

Review 87:we have been there 4 times now and love it everything is fantastic and I only like the best, the staff speak English and very helpful, the location is good and this time we hired the bikes, but remember they don't do tea or coffee in your room so take your travel kettle.

Review 88:All installations of the healthy bath are horrible, most of the tubes are rotten. A all around renovation should be done very, very soon; but we are awaiting it since more than 10 years.

Review 89:We are coming since about 10 years because of the good water into the hotel. We like the situation close to the Mar Menor.

Review 90:There was some noise from, I think, air conditioners outside, affecting our room, one of the best in the hotel.

Review 91:Wonderful view of the Salinas. Excellent good value breakfast.

Review 92:As soon as there are only few people to turn up for breakfast there is very little choice of food. We stayed in an apartment and it was absolutely clean of any consumables. There is a partly operational gas cooker but no matches. There is no washing up sponge even.

Review 93:Spa facilities not bad. Good breakfast when they have enough people to cater for.

Review 94:Sorry to say food was not good,we added evening meal to our package. We were not impressed. We expected buffet dinner as advertised, but was a 3 course meal with not much choice. What we did have was disappointing. Ooooh sorry

Review 95:Liked Hotel & Extremely friendly staff. Room was very nice, very clean, excellent towels in bathroom. Comfortable bed & plenty of spaces. Bar staff very helpful.

Review 96:Limited food choice, always had to hunt out chef to cook fresh bothbreakfast and dinner, ie short-staffed in kitchen. Traffic a bit noisy.Dinner service from 8pm, would have preferred earlier.

Review 97:Room, balcony, view, general standards of both design and cleanliness.Staff excellent.

Review 98:The cook/chef kept vanishing when we required cooked eggs at breakfast and meats at dinner, perhaps there was a shortage of kitchen staff.

Review 99:Staff excellent and very helpful. Rooms a good size both the bathroom and the bedroom (but take your own hand basin and bath plugs) Balcony had very good views. Breakfast & dinner good.

Review 100:The apartments are only a poor three star while the hotel is classed asfour star...not worth that eithereverything looked clean in the apartment but was clean and sticky...all plates etc needed a rewash before use..everything basic quality...basic shampoo and soap...nothing else... cannot buy basic groceries and needs nearby or in hotel sofa bed uncomfortable..especially as a double bed. long, long walk to nearest beaches and bar only a few rooms overlooking sea..and remember you cannot access this part of Mar Menor from the road....long walk no taxi ranks and taxis in general infrequent although the hotel staff can call one for you if you can wait in all...there must be much better located hotels than this one to choose for most travellers

Review 101:Ease of booking on linethe big H on top of the hotel so I could actually find it nice and helpful staff buying a bottle of wine for dinner and having a label put on to use for next meal as well fresh food cooked in view at mealtimes and only served when properly cooked; salads fresh plenty of free parking alongside hotel which charges for car parking

Review 102:Rooms a bit dormitory like however functional and comfortable.

Review 103:Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Great location in front of nature reserve and very near to beach.

Review 104:The reception staff did get wipes and solutions, but just placed on the counter so I don't think there are any first aiders. They never went to inspect the bike or apologised or anything.

Review 105:My only issue is that we hired hotel bikes!!! The first one my husband got on cycled 5ft the chain broke he swapped bikes and we set off, the chain came off about 20 times. Then he was cycling and the breaks locked up and he went straight over the handle bars resulting in a trip to A & E and stitches too his eyebrow.

Review 106:I wouldnt recommend it to friends as it is a great place to escape towith few British people there.

Review 107:We pretty much liked everything about the Hotel. Above all nothing wastoo much trouble for the staff who spoke very little english.

Review 108:Booked parking at the hotel which cost 6.50 Euro per day. There is ample parking around the hotel and the hotel would not refund the cost of the parking even though we did not use the car park as we could park outside the hotel.

Review 109:Apartment was clean and furnished well. Good location close to beach and playgrounds for children

Review 110:Could'nt fault the hotel except the initial access with the suitcases but that was a minor glitch outweighed by everything the hotel had to offer.

Review 111:The hotel was perfect. The welcome was extremely good by English speaking reception. Our room was spotlessly clean with a balcony looking out towards the Salinas. Located in a quiet area but possibly in high season the rooms at the front may be subject to road noise but there is a secondary road and area between the hotel and the "main" road to soften any noise I would have thought. The food was of a very high standard at breakfast as well as the evening buffet . We enjoyed it so much that we returned there on our way back to Alicante to break our journey, and will now use it as a regular stopping off point in the future. Only about 4 minutes from the main AP7. The staff were so helpful, a real pleasure to have stayed there.

Review 112:As there were not many people staying at the hotel when we were there in February there was no buffet or dinner menu displayed in the restaurant. It would have been helpful to have a menu instead of a waitress trying to explain the limited choice, the food we choose was not very good and served with chips.

Review 113:The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. Excellent variety of food for breakfast and the room was clean and comfortable. We had wonderful views of the salt lakes and the wild birdlife and being able to hire bikes from the hotel and cycle between them and the sea was wonderful. Also loved the spa facilities.

Review 114:The air condition did not go off even when switched off so I was cold with no blankets on the bed

Review 115:Use the hotel car park as my parents car was damaged out on the street. Had two tyres punctured with a screw driver.

Review 116:Lovely hotel, lovely staff.

Review 117:nothing

Review 118:everything was done to make me feel comfortable

Review 119:no downside

Review 120:Bright spacious bar area with newspapers and books in English. Multilingual helpful staff . Spacious beds in junior suite.

Review 121:Certainly not 4 star. Paid for half board during a 4 night stay but very poor quality food.

Review 122:Peace and quiet

Review 123:bikes available

Review 124:Super friendly staff, excellent food. very clean, great location.

Review 125:The spa facilities The bar food exellent
