Reviews for Les Voyageurs

Review 1:Great Location for the limited time we had for touring. Earlyl checkout so didn't get normal breakfast but they went out of their way to send us off with a great cappucino and pastry.

Review 2:The hotel could not have been more conveniently located to the train station, airport bus, tourist information, and local buses to other towns. There were also great restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

Review 3:Fantastic location...5 mins from the train station. Funky bedrooms....ask for one with a Napoleon mural Great new design bathrooms Go with a sense of humour

Review 4:The room was nice but quite small (especially the bathroom)

Review 5:Very good position close to the old city center and the port (walking distance) The hotel and the room was very clean Good to have a private parking next to the hotel (but not very cheap)

Review 6:Room was a little small, but we didn't spend much time in it.

Review 7:Central location, helpful staff, comfortable room, attractive breakfast room, liked the library facility and were offered a glass of wine each evening as an aperitif.

Review 8:Staff initianally not very helpfull. We arrived 13:40 and were send away. Breakfast (not included) had two options simple and a bit more. seems to make it unnescesary complicated.

Review 9:Nicely situated, exelent free wifi, parking posdibility. Clean hotel nice decorated.

Review 10:- We asked in our reservation for a baby cot, but it was not put in our room when we arrived. When we asked at the reception, they gave us a baby cot, but we had to assemble it ourselves. - small room

Review 11:Near to the ferries.

Review 12:Small room. Had a movie themed one. Decoration overdone. Small bath room too. No shower, just bath tub. No facility to hang shower head..

Review 13:Clean. Friendly. Good location.

Review 14:Entrance of the parking space is quite narrow so if you have a big car, it might be difficult to enter. (narrow entrance gate and long sloop)

Review 15:+ Location + Clean + Big room

Review 16:Parking although reserved was difficult as the lot was full when we got there.

Review 17:excellent location, Corsica themed room, very clean facility, nice staff

Review 18:As it is in the centre of the city, parking until you check in is difficult- make sure you reserve a place. Very small bathroom. Bed had lump in the middle, twin beds pushed together?

Review 19:Excellent location, quiet but very close to restaurants, shops etc. shower had good pressure and air conditioning worked well. Staff friendly but spoke little English, but far more than my non-existent French!

Review 20:Nothing...............

Review 21:Everything was perfect. .lovely room and bathroom. ( Had room one). Good location for square and harbour vists. parking available...first class..... Thank you to all the friendly staff.

Review 22:Staff were not speaking much English but they tried to help us a lot despite our elementary French.

Review 23:Location of the hotel was very convenient. Concepts in the rooms about travellers were also interesting.

Review 24:We first arrived in a room where there clearly was a water leak above us. In 3 hours, a good 15 cm^2 of ceiling paint fell on our floor. The majority of the ceiling was however concealed behind a plastic cover including good-looking LEDs, such that we could not see whether the water leak was generalized or not. We were moved the next day to a room next to the elevator (of course), where the shower door had to be carefully slid to avoid breaking it down.

Review 25:The receptionist (and also the owner?) is very easy-going, very good with people, also to convince them that they cannot give you a reduction despite of the terrible rooms. The rooms were only slightly dirty.

Review 26:Breakfast is very expensive, so go with the continental. Rooms are on the smallish size but still ok. Refrigerator was not working.

Review 27:Staff was very helpful with advice, great location, parking available, quiet room, and nearby to great ice cream and food.

Review 28:Free wifi didn't work with iPhone or Windows Phone and there were no instructions to help overcome any issues. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and the lady who 'welcomed' us to the hotel was pretty stern.

Review 29:Location is near to station, airport bus and the harbour. The shower was excellent and the room pleasant and very clean. Programmable air conditioning really helped as opening the windows introduces a lot of street noise.

Review 30:There was nothing to dislike.

Review 31:The loved our pet dog 'Mr Raffles', we asked for a cup of tea and we got one free of charge. The place was easy to find, walking distance to the bars and shops. It came with it's own parking and 5 mins from the Port to catch the ferry to Nice. The rooms were comfortable modern and clean. The wet room shower room was especially pleasing.

Review 32:Room v v small. Pigeons roosting on windowsill next door.

Review 33:Really convenient for ferry. Lovely staff. Great library area for a pastis late at night. Room decor pays big big homage to Napoleon, v kitsch, made us smile.

Review 34:Nothing! It was all good.

Review 35:Beautiful, comfortable room and public spaces, artistically decorated. Friendly staff. 15-20 min walk to old harbour. Perfect location if catching ferries as terminal 5-10 min walk away.

Review 36:The hotel has undergone a fairly major renovation in the public area which is nice but has increased the price.

Review 37:I have stayed there several times, the location is excellent for someone who needs to be in town being just a few minutes walk or drive from the Ferry port. Its also just a minute walk to the the main square, and Bastia being a small town anyway, everything you need is easy walking distance. I like the quirky design's of the rooms with the traveler theme's.

Review 38:I don't like the idea of charging for breakfast when it has traditionally been included. Don't want fancy but it's a nice thing to offer coffee and some fresh bread.

Review 39:The welcome was extremely warm, the location was perfect and so easy to get to. There was parking right next store (at a charge). The room and bathroom were very nice, comfortable and very modern. It was great. Bastia is great.

Review 40:I have been missing a safe in the romm as promised in the offer. In case to go for a beach it is always good to safe credit cards and monay.

Review 41:Staff and hotel service very good. 50 Train station, 150 city centre, port and bus to Erbalunga(4) to the beaches. Wifi access.

Review 42:The hotel its really nice, you can feel that they put a lot of effort for decoration and they care about like if it was his own little child. Recommended; the petit dejeuner easy one but good quality of products.

Review 43:Wifi didn't work.

Review 44:Very central location, close to the port too which is useful if catching ferry. Friendly staff and nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Although on a main road, very quiet.

Review 45:Small nice hotel on mainroad

Review 46:Along busy road and hence a little noisy.

Review 47:Great room, individual design, well equipped. Hotel centrally located.

Review 48:The location was perfect especially as we were only staying for one night - it was easy to see everything by foot from the hotel.

Review 49:Great shower. Convenient location.

Review 50:Wi-fi signal could have been better.

Review 51:Wonderful to have tea-making facilities in the room, minibar and really large fluffy bath towels!

Review 52:Location and quirky decor which made the most of a small room

Review 53:Staff not very friendly, rooms very small

Review 54:Great location, comfortable and clean hotel.

Review 55:See above

Review 56:Thought the rooms kitsch and horrible and the plumbing did not work.

Review 57:ok for one night oversleep

Review 58:Rooms with different styles (by countries) and funky bathroom.

Review 59:Nothing

Review 60:Good position to explore Bastia, Hotel clean and comfortable, staff great

Review 61:Staff were very friendly. Free Muscat in the evening!

Review 62:staff did not speak well english, many stairs within one floor

Review 63:great location, nice room, free parking per night in front of the hotel, excellent wifi

Review 64:Stylish room, great bed, good wifi.

Review 65:Great in terms of location to the port. Room was clean and comfortable. In the heart of the city of Bastia.

Review 66:Great Location between port and railway station.Helpful staff. Large rooms. Each room individually themed.

Review 67:Breakfast is almost a joke and definitely not worth the money.

Review 68:Good location and very original rooms. Good that there was parning.

Review 69:They dont speak english at all, and even try. My room was noisy. Recepcionists not very charm

Review 70:In the center, and wifi everywhere.

Review 71:could not have been in a better location for ferry terminal and sights

Review 72:alley down to car park.

Review 73:Shower. Location.

Review 74:Perfect location if you have to catch a ferry, and everything else is at walking distance (bars, restaurants...).

Review 75:Nicely designed modern indoor architecture, good location and friendly staff.

Review 76:The location is walking distance to shops, ports and old town. Car parking comfortable rooms

Review 77:A very poor buffet of breakfast. The backyard which is served as a garage needs really some reform.

Review 78:The location.

Review 79:the price is high for what they offer

Review 80:we would recommand it only for the location

Review 81:No shower. Just a handpiece and a deep bath that may be tricky for older (large) people.

Review 82:Close to train station and centre of town. Big bathroom and surprisingly quiet given the location.

Review 83:Good location - easy to get to by car (without having to drive through too many busy city streets) and parking available on site. beautiful bathroom but very tricky to avoid getting water everywhere when taking a shower!

Review 84:Renovation in progress, couldn't open the window in the room. Garage has very small doors with height restriction (don't remember the exact height)

Review 85:In city centre, nicely decorated. Great brekfast.

Review 86:The shower didn't have a glass or anything around, so whenever we took a shower the bathroom got soaked... Low cost-benefit realation

Review 87:The room was really nice, pretty - well decorated - and really comfortable. Excelent location

Review 88:Nothing to complaint of, but here are some minor things that could be better: The room was very small and with almost no natural light. For one night is ok. Air conditioning was very noisy so we had to turn it off. WiFi working fine only close to the reception, not on the room

Review 89:Excellent location, very close both to the port and the old city center. decoration of the rooms is cool and original. Nice Staff

Review 90:Advertised wifi so I chose the hotel but first day not working andreceptionist not interested.Better later and new receptionist. Terriblenoisy with building works, could they not be done in off season? No needfor towels to be changed daily - waste of money

Review 91:Good central position for trains and buses and sight seeing.

Review 92:The stairs to take up my suitcase with no assistance, the over the top decor on the walls, the price for what I got.

Review 93:The bed was reasonably comfortable and bathroom ok and the breakfast reasonable.

Review 94:Some might find the room small, for us it was ok for one night stay.

Review 95:Located right in the center of Bastia. The decor of the room was nice although a bit worn-out.

Review 96:We couldn't fault any aspect of this hotel. The warm and efficient welcome was excellent. The website states that check-in is until 20:00hrs but as our ferry only docked at 20:00hrs we didn't get to the hotel until about 20:30hrs and this was not an issue at all. The room was delightfully quirky! The location is great for ferry terminal, access to bars and restaurants and car hire pick up. The hotel were more than happy to keep our luggage whilst we went to collect our car the next day and then pull up outside to collect the luggage. The breakfast was the best that we had across all of Corsica and really set us up for a day of travelling. The room was fantastically comfortable (air conditioning, fridge, hair dryer, bedding and bed) and the bathroom was spacious. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - in fact it would be our first choice for Bastia.

Review 97:The most impolite staff in the word , sex sounds all over the rooms ,bad smells , no elevator , we had to take the bags on the stairs , whata terrible hotel ...

Review 98:No lift so be prepared if your luggage is heavy.

Review 99:Spent one night in Bastia waiting to catch the ferry. Great location close to the port. Rooms comfortable with interesting interior design. Good internet access in the room. Very obliging regarding storage of our bicycles within the hotel.

Review 100:There is no public elevator (only staff elevator). So if you park in the backyard you have to carry all of your luggage up the driveway, through the hotel, up the winding stairs to you room. Take a shower afterwards!

Review 101:Despite the hotel is located directly to a busy road, it was absolutely a quiet place.

Review 102:Although good decor the room was quite small. Best if you do not have too much luggage.

Review 103:Had a fridge in the room and a good position if not driving for train and ferry trips. Helpful staff.

Review 104:didn't have a lift, which would be tricky if you had heavy or large luggage (which we didn't)

Review 105:Excellent position - could hardly be better for centre city, train station and port Quirky and quite large rooms with excellent, big bathroom

Review 106:The room was quite small and had dated carpeting. Staff quite unengaged, more like a b&b than a hotel. Parking is expensive.

Review 107:Location is easy to find and good.

Review 108:Can't think of anything specifically.

Review 109:A really comfortable and friendly place to stay, with great location to all in Bastia. The receptionist was an absolute delight and very helpful. Her English was excellent and appreciated as a non French speaking tourist.

Review 110:Decoration

Review 111:Welcome not a warm genuine welcome

Review 112:Location facilities breakfast staff more helpful and welcoming than the actual reception staff

Review 113:Small room. Wifi in room did not work. Reception was unable to restart the router.

Review 114:good breakfast. Able to leave luggage while we did the GR20. Ideal place to come back to. Near station but quiet.

Review 115:Just about everything.

Review 116:Nothing.

Review 117:Spiral staircase, no lift

Review 118:Friendly

Review 119:Steep, tight driveway to pull in and out of parking lot

Review 120:We liked the location, helpful staff, great value for the money, on site parking

Review 121:Very Nice city no tourist

Review 122:the narrow staircase, no elevator

Review 123:the interesting design ( we stayed at the music room), the location, the available (paying) parking

Review 124:Very friendly staff, great location, clean and comfortable.
