Reviews for Hôtel Mademoiselle
Review 1:No pool and imagine that in summer it can be quite noisy but is on a pedestrian street so no passion traffic.
Review 2:Very unique, quirky boutique hotel. Friendly staff and amazing central location.
Review 3:All good.
Review 4:Arrived late, entrance code was provided in advance, and key, wifi etc was waiting for me in a nice box at the desk. Stay was perfect, room was very comfortable. All good. Highly recommended!
Review 5:Superior room had a smelly bathroom. Reception is closed by 8pm.
Review 6:The location was very convenient to the bars/restaurants and beach. Suite room was very comfortable.
Review 7:The wifi was a bit slow and would log you out automatically after 5 mins.
Review 8:Location is great so near to beach and restaurants and bars. Everything was within easy walking distance.
Review 9:Mattress , Always have to log in for wifi No salty treats at breakfast.
Review 10:Location in a pedestrian street near restaurants and bars. Free parking spots not very far,
Review 11:Nothing
Review 12:Great location, in the middle of the nicest street of Juan les Pins, with many restaurants and shops. Despite the central location, the room wasn't noisy at all! The staff was very kind and helpful. Overall the hotel looks great, very original furnishing and decoration. And also very clean!
Review 13:Very hard to find as the entrance is in a pedestrianised street. Unload the car an carry luggage quite some distance.
Review 14:Good clean rooms and facilities in a very central locasion.
Review 15:You must have a room to the backyard (luckily we had). To the front it might be at night very noisy.
Review 16:Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the sea.
Review 17:Room 10 a bit small if you are planning to spend more than three nights there.
Review 18:Central location, great decor and comfortable communal areas. Bed comfortable. Free loan of beach towels, very friendly staff. Delicious biscuits.
Review 19:No shower curtain meant we either had a bath or washed each other, was a bit of fun but made a lot of mess. The wi-fi when connected was good but you had to keep logging on to the wi-fi every few hours
Review 20:Loved the location the decor of the whole hotel. Bed was very comfy and ample room for us both. Thought the little biscuits all over the hotel were a little treat
Review 21:No elevator, and the parking lot is 500m away. But you can't really blame anyone for this: the hotel is literally in the city center, in one of the main and coolest roads!
Review 22:Style of the hotel/rooms/breakfast tables, staff, location, breakfast.
Review 23:I had a wonderful stay. It really is a lovely little hotel, with customised rooms a perfect location. The beach is close by and the pedestrian only street has some nice restaurants. The train station is a 4 minutes walk and Cannes is a 10-15 minute taxi ride. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious. I will definitely stay here again and would highly reccommend this hotel.
Review 24:The owner recognises as a dog only poodles, probably. Despite the fact of free pets stay we were forced to pay extra for our labradors even so they were annouced in advance - and confrimed by her.
Review 25:I quite enjoyed the room decoration - over the top!
Review 26:Everything was lovely. Breakfast was adorable and delicious but over priced at 15 euro each.
Review 27:Lovely location on a quiet street with a nice French restaurant across the street. Very cute hotel, quirky and well kept. Clean and comfortable.
Review 28:Smell in foyer on arrival was like paraffin/kerosene, maybe it had been used for cleaning - not completely off-putting but ..... we like hotels that smell nice - as well as being clean. The local restaurants were pricey, even the bodega on the same street was more expensive than its interior and food suggested, but I expect that everything in that area bumps up their prices, even in winter, as Antibes and Juan les Pins are locations that are known worldwide.
Review 29:The design of the hotel's interior was excellent, amusing, entertaining.
Review 30:The location of the hotel was excellent, in a pedestrian mall, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The modern fittings were refreshing and bold.
Review 31:Nothing at this price point and in such a prime location.
Review 32:Karine, the Manager appears to us as a genuine and natural kind and helpful person who added much to our beautiful experience. Location is perfect; the hotel decor cast a special a sort of eccentric and very likeable atmosphere.
Review 33:bit noisy room (next time I would book the rooms in the inner part of rooms facing to the courtyard)
Review 34:extremly nice rooms with a lot of taste & details
Review 35:Unstable Internet connection. Important for disabled people and travelers with kids - no lift, street is pedestrian and there is no possibility to reach hotel by car.
Review 36:Small comfortable hotel with friendly staff. A lot of restaurants around. Design interiors. Fresh tasty biscuits every day.
Review 37:Wifi was a bit slow.
Review 38:We stayed in the studio/3 bed room which was a fantastic size. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and modern room and bathroom. Lovely homemade cookies. Delicious breakfast on the terrace. Free parking near by. Close to beach (Star Plage was excellent), shops, bars, restaurants.
Review 39:Proximité
Review 40:Very personal and charming hotel
Review 41:Great location, friendly staff, modern facilities.
Review 42:Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Quirky, fun and colourful decor
Review 43:Very well located, just few walks from the beach. Beautiful Hotel with nice decoration. Very good and friendly staff.
Review 44:Very convenient for town and restaurants. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff.
Review 45:a very good location. close to beach and all facilities. very freindly staff.
Review 46:it was a very special trip, my mother's 70th Birthday and that went that little bit extra that they didn't have to do.
Review 47:Nothing not to like
Review 48:Amazing location, beautiful rooms, welcoming staff. Absolutely perfect. Looking forward coming back!
Review 49:i didn't like the shortage in staff for a 3-star hotel and common use amenities
Review 50:i liked the location in the heart of the down-town
Review 51:Staff are wonderful, wifi is amazing, location is perfect, right in the centre of town, comfort is top notch
Review 52:Breakfast expensive for what it was.
Review 53:Very friendly staff
Review 54:Location, busy street with restaurants Bed, needs a mattress topper
Review 55:style of the hotel, fun and funky. Great bathroom
Review 56:Quirky,quiet, central, delicious breakfast and friendly staff.
Review 57:Nothing at all to dislike.
Review 58:We loved the proximity to the beach, restaurants, nearby towns...... the comfortable bed, the aircon, the power shower. The owners/ managers were very friendly and obliging even leaving us fresh, homemade biscuits in our room each day. It was especially helpful to have a small fridge in the room. Our room was at the rear which meant it was very quiet at night.
Review 59:Location and relaxed, friendly attitude of the staff. The decor was interesting too - unusual. They made provision for our three bikes in their back garden and had attended to this in advance of our arrival
Review 60:Can be noisy during weekends, and there's no elevator so the luggage can get heavy until in room.
Review 61:Supersweet hosts, very central location, close to beach and train station.
Review 62:Only the trash truck at the street at 5 a.m., but the rest of the night was rather quiet.
Review 63:The owners have been very kind with us: we could choose between a quieter room at the garden side or a bigger one at the street side; we chose the bigger one and we didn't repent, but it was not high season. The room was clean, big and original.
Review 64:Isolation is a bit of a problem, and it can be pretty noisy if in the morning garbage is being collected on the streets, when people close their doors and walk in the hallway.
Review 65:Design is wonderful, spacious room&bathroom, very centrally located in the restaurant area, close to the sea.
Review 66:Bath a bit small and could have done with a wall mounting for the shower head and a shower curtain or glass door.
Review 67:Very clean, lovely comfortable bed, gorgeous, quirky décor.
Review 68:Given that we were there off season, I believe that 80 €/night and 15 € per breakfast is a bit too much
Review 69:The overall aspect of the hotel (decoration), the very kind staff, the location...
Review 70:Beware! Room 10 is really TINY for a couple. It might be OK for a solo traveller. For EUR150 (peak season to be fair) we expected way more space.
Review 71:The decor and its fantastic location just minutes away from all the main restaurants, beaches, lidos and cocktail bars. Really clean and friendly staff. Great homemade cookies :( Air-conditioned and not at all noisy although Av. Doc. Dautheville is one of the busiest areas of Juan-les-Pins in the evening. Just 5 minutes away from the train station. about 20 minutes on foot to Antibes via Av. Wilson.
Review 72:It's still a Plus not a Minus so much, the street the hotel is on- pedestrian, so checking in and out the suitcases a little problem, but you can always call the help from the Mademoiselle. They helped us bring bags in. The other thing you do forget about immediately, is that rooms are on the second floor, and elevator is absent, BUT this things don't bother you at all the moment you are in the second floor staircase))) such a beautiful hotel!!!! Bravo!!!!
Review 73:Looooved Mademoiselle absolutely!!! Great boutique hotel, such a great design concept
Review 74:we had a very unhappy and uncomfortable stay in this hotel. we booked it as we were drawn by the quirky decoration. we made a mistake, as the bed mattress was horrendously hard. it's located in a very noisy street with no outlook, we barely slept. it's a complete waste of Money. we left exhausted. Oh and if you need wifi, it's the worse service we have ever experienced in a hotel and we are extensive travellers. if you want a holiday don't stay here.
Review 75:Parking is a headache and expensive, they should have a deal with aparking house for discounted rate perhaps, 34e per night at Palais desCongres....pffff!
Review 76:Awesome little hotel with just enough design to match the practical andcomfortable feeling of the space...nice team and quality services.Quirky touch with 'tagada' on the reception desk and in thehallways...cookies on arrival changed daily, super touch with amenitieson demand and printed a family photo for us. Keep up the good work!!
Review 77:nothing
Review 78:staff were really friendly and very helpful; extremely patient and very good English. Fantastic air conditioning which was vital as it was so hot outside
Review 79:Rooms are on 2nd floor located above restuarants which in turn face a tourist strip filled with people at night. Noise is bearable but securing a room facing the garden is preferable.
Review 80:Design hotel in its true sense with rooms furnished around a concept well planned and well executed. Friendly and accomodating staff!
Review 81:Room was a little small with no view. No muesli at breakfast.
Review 82:Loved the location , right in the midst of Juan shops and restaurants yet quiet at night. Fabulous quirky décor, amazingly comfortable bed and very crisp and clean. A fridge, plasma TV and lots of good lighting in the room. Lovely little terrace garden where you can have your breakfast.Little biscuits left each day in the room and home made cake for breakfast too!
Review 83:room was stylish but very uncomfortable in terms of available space, price should reflect first the overall comfort of the facilities and it doesn't
Review 84:The aircon unit was noisy, and the toilet was loose on the floor, but they made a plan to address it as soon as we were out of the room.
Review 85:The room was clean with a quaint design. The staff were really friendly, and the location was great. The constant refilling of the sweet jars was a bit too tempting, and so were the biscuits we found each day upon our return.
Review 86:Bed was rock hard. Extremely noisy street so noisy till early hours of morning then early in the morning! No shower cubical, shower on taps over bath! Impossible to shower yourself.
Review 87:Location was good. Rooms were quirky and original!
Review 88:We had no hot water in our shower, at all. Despite the fancy shower andshowerhead. This is an upscale/boutique hotel and regardless of where Istay when traveling, I look for a play to rest my head a take a hotshower in the morning. It was my boyfriend's birthday and he had ahorrible cold and had to take a room temperature shower. No matter howlong we ran the hot water, it did not come on, even with the cold tapentirely closed. This was at 9:00 am and again at 9:30 am. When weinformed the hotel staff, they simply said thank you for informing usand did not offer an apology or a discount for our stay. This was aterrible hotel and birthday experience.
Review 89:Interesting decor, clean
Review 90:Hotel mademoiselle is a fun place to stay.It has a boutique, quirky, intimate feel. The staff & owners are very welcoming & helpful.I thought it was very reasonably priced for such a unique place & will definitely stay there again & recommend to others - great find.
Review 91:Our room was very small which was a bit disheartening at first sight but fine once we settled in. Would recommend paying more for a larger room. Also our view was non-existant really, looking out on a square of concrete at the back of the kitchen. Also, a bit loud in the morning, possibly due to us being over the kitchen..not sure? But overall a lovely hotel.
Review 92:Hotel Madesmoiselle was a quirky and very likeable hotel with lovely staff and a nice atmosphere in general. It was very central and on a lively pedestrianised street full of restaurants.
Review 93:The only drawback is that it is not located exactly at the beach so ithas no sea view rooms. However, it is very close and it takes about 2-3minutes to walk to the closest beach and frankly the overall qualitycompensates this drawback comparing to other hotels in the same pricerange (at least the ones we could choose between when booking).
Review 94:Newly refurbished and very beautifully designed hotel. The (cloud) roomwe stayed in was very nice and eccentrically decorated (in the goodsense). The bathroom was very modern and very clean. The room had anempty fridge which was very useful to keep champagne and light food forsnacks. There is a beautiful garden where one can relax for breakfast, coffee or brought food which was very convenient. Owners and employeeswere all extremely nice and made a strong effort to help out and makethe stay as good as possible. This is by far the best hotel we've stayedat in France so far, both regarding quality and cleanliness of rooms andservice level from the staff. I would strongly recommend HotelMademoiselle to anyone going to Juan les pins.
Review 95:The hotel needs a much better sign out front. It's on a street with manyrestaurants that have large awnings.More importantly, you can't drivedown it unless you walk to the hotel and ask them to lower the metalthings preventing cars from entering the road--now how would anyone knowabout that upon arrival?? My advice for guests who drive is to findstreet or garage parking first then walk to hotel with your bags.
Review 96:The concierge was wonderful! They welcomed us with bubbly and treats forour 30th Anniversary. They couldn't have been more helpful and lovely! The design and decor was unique. Also the sweet candies that theygenerously provided were delicious!
Review 97:We loved everything.
Review 98:The mademoiselle is a small 'boutique designer' hotel with a unique sense of style that is contemporary, quirky and charming. The owners Alain and Alexandra are charming and really helpful with good local knowledge. Alexandra also bakes the most delicious cakes and biscuits which are then served as part of the breakfast, or in the cute tea room (in the lobby of the hotel) , or the sunny garden. It is perfectly situated in a vibrant pedestrianized street close to many local bars, restaurants and the beach just 5 minutes walk away! We loved them and their place so much i wish I could live their forever!
Review 99:Breakfast good but a little expensive, as well as the price of thehotel. Bathroom poor of soap, shampoo, this kind of thing... I wouldrecomend the hotel for sure.
Review 100:Very charming hotel!! Design brand new, every corner has a piece ofdesign. The owners live there and take care of every detail. Just a fewrooms what made very personal hotel. The hotel is located in the mostcrowded street of the city, with bars and restaurants, but as mentionedby the others, the acoustic isolation is very good.
Review 101:The room we stayed at was pretty awful! It was small, old and not clean. The floor has very dirty moquette (carpet) and the furniture was very dusty. The bed sheets and towels were very old, even if cleaned, it was obvious how used they are! It was disappointing because the reviews we had read before the trip reflected a much nicer image, so we were very disappointed. The breakfast is really not worth it at the hotel, very expensive and not tasty, don't go for it.
Review 102:The hotel has a very nice garden, nice place to have a cup of coffee (but not breakfast, which is too expensive for what they serve and there is a patisserie 1 block away that has yummy pastries).
Review 103:the doors of the rooms need to be fixed to not slam so loud when they are being shut. that woke us up a few times when our neighbors came in late. the hotel is on a busy street so it was quite loud if the windows were open.
Review 104:very good central location, small hotel with a very nice patio for breakfast. conveniently located for access to the many Juan les pins beaches.
Review 105:You can easily hear people in the hallway. The noice isolation is not very good. You can not park your car exactly in front of the hotel to drop off your luggage as the hotel lies in a pedestrian street(Not more than 10-15meters from the nearest road).
Review 106:Nice hotel with good location. Newly refurbished rooms, with unique decorating. Was not to bad to get free parking in the streets(July). Probably a little tougher in the middle of the day when people are going to the beach.
Review 107:The bad smell in our room and the bathroom didn't feel like it was finished. No shower screen etc and no where to hook the shower head
Review 108:Location and courtyard
Review 109:#1: The location-right in the hub of great cafes/restaurants, shopping and sight seeing sites. The beach is literal a 2 minute walk. #2: The staff-they were extremely friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make our short stay amazing. A real GEM!
Review 110:Wonderful staff with a central location in Juan-les-pins. The outsideterrace is a huge bonus. I don't believe there is a better value inthe area. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. Will be backnext year.
Review 111:The rooms are decorated with great style and are, at the same time, very simple and just perfect for a weekend-stay. The hotel is located right in the center of Juan-les-Pins close to all sorts of nightlife action as well as literally 50m away from the sandy beaches.
Review 112:The only thing which was a bit uncomfortable was lack of parking space. But the hotel staff showed us where we can park our car and it was safe. There is also a public parking near by, where you can park your car for1 eur per hour. After 6pm you won't find any parking space on anystreets, so public parking is the place to go! ;)
Review 113:The localisation of the hotel is just perfect! It is about 5 minutesfrom the beach and after going out of the hotel you have lots ofrestaurants and shops. There is also a supermaket across the streetwhere you can buy everything. Rooms are very comfortable and tidy -everything is new and clean. There is a small fridge in every room whereyou can cool a bottle of champagne :) After coming back from the beach, our room was always cleaned up and there were cookies waiting for us onthe table. I will definitely come back to this hotel once again - JuanLes Pins is a beautiful, magic city and Hôtel Mademoiselle is the placeto stay when coming here!P.S. - WIFI works great!
Review 114:Everything at this hotel was excellent. It was nicer than 95% of thefour star hotels I stay at and as nice as most five stars in respect todesign and comfort. The location couldn't be better and the design isout of this world. We loved this hotel and can't wait to stay thereagain as soon as possible. I have stayed in no less than 100 differenthotels in my time and this is easily one of the top three I have everhad the pleasure to experience.
Review 115:Hotel recently been renovated but beds and pillows are very old and uncomfortable, in need of an update. No sign of pastries/biscuits as advertised on website. Hotel was not full (we didn't see another guest during our 4 night stay) but we were not allowed a late checkout.
Review 116:Clean budget hotel. Good location. Free wifi. Staff very helpful when asked for travel information.
Review 117:no table in the room to work
Review 118:cozy decoration, internal garden, good breakfast with hand made products. nice personnel.
Review 119:Small room.
Review 120:Nice garden.
Review 121:Great design and comfortable accommodation. Central area.
Review 122:Great location, very helpful staff, quirky place that's very comfortable.
Review 123:No proper hairdryer and the rooms that are directly on the side street are pretty noisy
Review 124:I liked the freshly baked cookies and the staff was very kind
Review 125:Free street parking, close by restaurants, near la plage, even though we overlooked the street, it was quite quiet - it was in early March though.
Review 126:the rooms design concept is great, the beds are not comfortable and need to be changed
Review 127:Great location, very central
The Fine Print
Please note that the entire hotel, including guest rooms, are non-smoking.
