Review 1：Carteret is a few miles away but you can hire bikes around town and cycle if you don't want to drive
Review 2：Amazing friendly hotel in great little town of barneville very near the beach. great cycle paths . Other part of the town up over bridge and up the hill
Review 3：Friendly people, nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation was basic but very clean and had a TV with a couple of English stations, not that we watch a lot of TV. We even ate our evening meal there due to it being the end of the season and not much was open. The service was excellent and the food was equally as good. Everything was locally produced.

Review 15：If you want a bit of local character and to avoid the big hotel chains you won't go far wrong with Bar la Plage. Reasonable room rates, good food, both dinner & breakfast, free wifi, all BBC channels on the TV from Jersey & run by the charming owners who live on site.
Review 16：The owners were lovely - friendly and welcoming although we were only there for one night on our way back to the ferry. They kindly allowed us to park our old car in the private car park adjacent to our room. We had a lovely evening meal in the spacious and comfortable dining room/bar area, and breakfast the following morning was very good for a continental breakfast. We would come again and hopefully for a longer stay. The hotel is just a short step away from a fabulous beach and there are lovely walks around the dunes to the north, looking out across the bay towards Carteret.
Review 17：As a group of four,three adults and one child,the sleeping arrangements were rather cramped.We had a sofa bed and another small bed in the main living room.For our short break this was fine but others might find this not the their taste.Les Frangins closed down!

Review 20：Liked the location just a two minute walk from the beach. Liked the good quality fittings in the room, marble table top, solid ceramic basin, excellent shower. Free WIFI always welcome, and nice to get English/Jersey tv. Food was good, breakfast very substantial (excellent jambon) and staff very attentive. Free parking.

Review 25：Great place for a beach holiday, especially if the weather is right.Hotel is 50 yards or so from the beach. Amble car space. Pleasant andhelpful owner and wife (presumably) without being bossy and pretentious.Good oysters and moules. Excellent and plentiful breakfast for 8 euros,coffee at will, eggs, ham, yoghurt, bagette, croissants etc. Good marketon Saturday mornings.
Review 26：The location was good close to the lovely beach. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom located in the back courtyard was excellent, lovely and quiet, and was very well equipped, even with a hair drier, and was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, and there was a small terrance with 2 chairs where you could have a relaxe outside. We stayed on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was closed so we didn't get to try the food, but the owner recommended the restaurant right across the road "Les Frangins", which we can highly recommend, excellent food, superb menu, and lovely staff.

Review 55：The owners were very helpful. The apartment was fully equipped, there was a nice patio where we had meals. The location was great, close to the ocean. The sand beach was fantastic, very long. The weather was warm and the ocean was not really cold for people to swim (18-19 deg. C). I really liked authentic nature, pretty small houses decorated with flowers, a lot of sightseeing in the area.
Review 56：An excellent location for touring the West coast peninsula . Madame and Monsieur were so very obliging and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. We will certainly visit again.
Review 57：We did arrive around 3.30pm,not realising that the opening time was 6pm.I assumed that this was for the restaraunt only and it would have been agood idea maybe to have a contact telephone number or door bell on thefront door,though It was not really a problem as the adjacent shopkeepertelephoned Didier to let us into the accomodation.

Good foodcooked fresh and served by Christina and Didier who were very friendlyand helpfull. Lovely quiet ,freindly little "spongeBob". Offroad secure parking for our vintage car. So close to the expansive beachand sand dunes for lovelly strolls and walks across to Cateret. Friendlyand helpful shopkeeper next door to the restaraunt, selling a wide rangeof goods and foodstuff,fruit and veg and again good english spoken. Westayed in what was the Hotel de la Plage now closed, opposite the barrestaraunt about 40 years ago, in our youth, and it rekindled happymemories of really lovelly place.Many thanks again.
