Reviews for Hotel Teranga

Review 1:My friend had a room that only had piping hot water so couldn't take a shower. We only stayed one night, so it was ok. I stayed in this hotel before and the plumming left a bit to desired.

Review 2:Central location close to beach and station in quiet street.

Review 3:Hot water (very hot water) coming from both hot and cold settings. Not much parking around Coffee machine

Review 4:Very friendly desk staff, spacious rooms, nice breakfast buffet(except coffee), kids friendly. Well located by train station (without noise from the trains), close to the beach 5 min by food

Review 5:This time we didn't like our room- mostly because of the bath-room and shower. It should be mentioned that we were offered another room and it was very kind. But as all the bags were already unpacked and we had to spend only 3 nights there, we refused to go to another room and decided to cope with this shower.

Review 6:As usual, all the staff is great!!! Yong ladies at the reception are very friendly and helpful, good cleaning service. Very nice garden where you can have your breakfast. The location of the hotel is quite convenient- the beach, city center, railway station, buses and shops are in 5-7 minutes walk.

Review 7:The breakfast was terrible. Got served tea that was lukewarm and had been heated in a mikrowave.

Review 8:Good wi-fi in the room. Good location, close to the train station.

Review 9:Helpful staff. Well maintained and clean room. Beautiful garden. Shutters blackened out the room for a good nights sleep. Comfortable mattress and pillows. 2 mins walk from Train station, 10 mins walk from beach or less. Close to Wilson Street.

Review 10:Wi-fi only available in lobby of hotel. The shower head didn't have a holder in the bath so you had to hold it in your hands, which was very annoying.

Review 11:Location is very close to train station, 30 sec walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is lovely also The outside terrace is beautiful and restful. Beach is a 5 minute walk and Antibes is very accessible on foot, 15 mins

Review 12:The Wi-Fi signal is undependable in the rooms, except ground floor. If they can provides strong signal in the rooms, it would enhance the value of service to full satisfaction level.

Review 13:This is a pleasant, comfortable and convenient location for business or leisure stay. Staff are nice. Breakfast is good.

Review 14:The bed is not very comfortable and the AC didn't seems to work.

Review 15:The beautiful smile from the gorgeous woman at the reception… I would go back just to get to see her again ;-)

Review 16:Rooms were spacious, clean, airy and bright. Great to be able to have my breakfast on the terrace and be connected to wi-fi whilst doing so a bonus. Staff speak excellent english.

Review 17:Non-smoking policy not enforced even when management alerted to breaches, doors in corridors bang loudly when closing (woken constantly by those).

Review 18:Location, Comfy beds with doonas, Reception staff very friendly.

Review 19:This hotel is close to the station and not far from the lovely sandy beach of Juan les Pins. There is a nice courtyard with tables and chairs for outside breakfast.

Review 20:The hotel room was on the smaller side and a little warm. The walls were thin so we could hear all noises throughout the night and morning. And the breakfast was expensive. Heaven forbid you spill anything bc the matron will bite your head off.

Review 21:The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. And the location is just steps to the train. It's located far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city but still very convenient to shops and beach.

Review 22:The room was a bit old fashion with basic furniture.

Review 23:The garden was really nice, and there was a cat. The location of the hotel was good, Service was ok.

Review 24:This is the worst place I've seen in my life. Extremely dirty, a terrible smell all over, dirty floors with "things" stucked on it, broken doors and showers and basin. i nearly cried when I saw all that. The staff was unpleasant and rude. i contacted booking.com as i don't think that the info given on the site are realistic.

Review 25:mmmm.... nothing?

Review 26:no fridge in rooms. no way of putting the shower head on the wall...was annoying taking a shower in a bath tub with just a shower head which you have to hold.

Review 27:location was great considering the price was fair in peak season and in the centre of Juan-Les-Pins. didn't have breakfast so can't comment. reception spoke many languages and was extremely helpful. the hotel was clean and it's exactly what we needed without the luxuries.

Review 28:Expensive , but it's an expensive area . Basic and quite old fashioned .

Review 29:The location is perfect . Just minutes from the train status and the centre.staff friendly and nice little terrace area .

Review 30:the sink was cracked the bed was very uncomfortable no balcony the room was too small the wifi was working only the mornings late check out is charged 40 EUR

Review 31:the little cozy garden

Review 32:Dark, dingy and outdated. We had water leaking in our room, the WiFi didn't work and the breakfast was almost inedible. The staff tried their best but were quite useless. This is a decent hotel for a quick stopover - certainly not for a holiday!

Review 33:The location was good (right by the train station) and the property was safe and had all the essentials. It hardly went beyond the bare necessities though.

Review 34:The room was basic and dark and the carpet in our room was very tatty and patched together. Breakfast cost 10 euro extra each which is expensive especially with children.

Review 35:The location was good, near the train station and not far from the beach. The staff at the reception were excellent - very friendly and helpful at all times of the day and night. The garden was lovely. The cleaning staff were excellent - our room and bathroom was cleaned every day and they gave us fresh towels. The room was spacious though it was dark and the carpet needed to be changed.

Review 36:Very good staff and welcome, room had everything right and was well cleaned and furnished.

Review 37:Rooms were very clean, spacious, and bedding comfortable with good HDTV and excellent free wi-fi.

Review 38:Nothing

Review 49:Overall great stay short but sweet will return.

Review 50:Expensive rooms. Only wi-fi in the lobby.

Review 53:Good lactation , in the old town and close to the water front

Review 54:Very good for Juan les Pins/Antibes - transport + nightlife

Review 55:very friendly staff, good location close to train station. Would make a return visit

Review 56:Our room was at the top and windows facing the main street and railway - too noisy.

Review 57:Near to the sea, train station, shipping lines and bus.

Review 58:windows with almost no sealing, limited space for hotel parking with no possibility to reserve in advance

Review 59:friendly and helpfull staff

Review 63:Super location. Staff very friendly and helpful

Review 64:Parking. Room little.

Review 65:Close to the Beach and Center, Garden

Review 66:I think it would work well if the hotel sold wine and tapas in the evening to get more use of the lovely garden.

Review 67:Staff, location, garden, ...

Review 68:Nice rooms, clean, bedding comfortable, bright and spacious for type of hotel. Good feeling, v nice staff and attentive. Location is excellent in quiet corner of town and garden is a rare bonus.

Review 69:The French railway always being on strike!

Review 70:A nice, small hotel located in a quiet area conveniently next to thetrain station and a short walk from the beach. It's a basic hotelbut clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Iwould definnately come here again next time I am in the south of France.

Review 71:~Love the location, close to everything especially the trains. ~Love the bright & cheerful courtyard with it's colourful hanging baskets, cane seating & sun umbrellas - perfect ~ Love the friendly staff especially the friendly & helpful Madame Angela ~Great value for money, well worth a stay :)

Review 72:It's a 2 stars hotel but it was expensive. The A/C didn't work, the main light was broken and there was only a single plug in the room to charge your phone, nothing near or under the bed. If you flight from Nice you can easily go by train from Juan les Pins but the first train starts at 5.30, so be careful! there is no another transport to go there if you have an early flight... unless you want to pay 80/90euros by taxi.

Review 73:Location was really googd. 1 minute from the train station and 5 mins to the beach

Review 74:Never ever try to use fire exit here! My curious son decided to check the fire door and we finally were locked outside with no chance to get inside again. It did take some time to get through reception and ask for help

Review 75:Surprisingly spacious room for all your luggage and mess. Nice and polite staff. Good location for sea lovers and perfect for those who want to explore French Riviera by train - the station is just next door, and distances here are just nothing

Review 76:As above, would have liked a kettle to make a cup of tea.

Review 77:The staff were friendly and very knowledgable of the local area. We had a wonderful stay. Would have liked a kettle in the room. Would stay there again and recommend to friends. Cheers, James

Review 78:The Location is in a back road opposite a School and is very difficult to park to unload a car. Secure Car Parking is on third floor below an Apartment block 5 minutes walk away. Very difficult to find and manoeuvre into a space.

Review 79:Friendly, English speaking Staff. Nice Room, very Clean. Good Breakfast can be taken in a very pretty Breakfast room or on a small outside Terrace. Do not be put off by the outside appearance of the Hotel or Reception. An old dated Building. Plenty of Restaurants and Bars nearby

Review 80:Internet connection was very bad in rooms which really affected my work online. Only around the reception area the internet was good. The breakfast is not worth 10 eur. No fresh coffee but only coffee from the coffee machine. Nothing much to choose from.

Review 81:I liked the garden and also I was pleased to have a normal comfortable duvet instead of just a sheet like most of the hotels in France.

Review 82:Late check-in service. Well located within town centre, easy access to Antibes. Rooms are clean and bedding confortable. Spacious rooms and friendly helpfull staff.

Review 83:Its my third or fourth time back at least. Its nice to find a small hotel that is clean, comfortable, where everything works, is clean and the staff is attentive and reactive every time and all the time.

Review 84:Nothing special actually!

Review 85:The hotel was very nice and clean. Staff friedly and helpful. We travelled a lot in the area so having the train station very close was great, and 5 min by bus to antibes old town (20 min by foot). But the best thing was a beautiful garden where we had breakfast and also relaxed some afternoons.

Review 86:The triple room was tiny - barely room to walk around the beds. The extra bed was an old camp bed which squeaked every time the occupant moved at all and was very saggy.

Review 87:The location worked well for us and it was quite quiet. The staff were very friendly. It was clean.

Review 88:though it's well renovated the building is old with a little smell, old air condition (which we didn't use)

Review 89:good location (next to train station, close to the beach), stuff was very friendly, very clean, nice garden to sit, quite place

Review 90:Everyone who works in this hotel is superhelful and friendly, really serviceminded! Have stayed her a couple of times and Always been satisfyed and the location is perfect.

Review 91:* The hotel had a cat which moved around the garden and the foyer. The cat appeared to have fleas & the hotel staff did not clean the outdoor seating where the cat sat. The cat was not mentioned in the hotel information and I am allergic!* There was a problem with our TV which was never fixed. We stayed 6 nights and although the housekeeper promised it would be fixed, it was not (we asked several times). There was no apology - in fact the housekeeper was extremely rude on the first day when we mentioned there was a problem. - Very rude housekeeper - Mattresses were so old and soft that there was no support - they sank in the middle (and I'm only 50kg!). * towels weren't replaced when placed on the floor (as per hotel instructions) * made a mistake on the booking and hotel refused to change the booking * not worth the money we paid

Review 92:* The garden is the best part of the hotel* well located - close to train station & beach

Review 93:We never got enough towels and the shower is handheld. Wifi very on andoff. Main Italian lady was rude. Extremely touristy family area! Antibesis much nicer.

Review 94:An ok hotel for spending most of your time on the beach. Nice staff, very nice backyard. Our room had a door out to a deck that all ofguests can use.

Review 95:*Friendly helpful staff *Fabulous spacious outdoor courtyard area, great for relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine *Handy, central location to trains, bus to Antibes & Nice

Review 96:All, it is a superb charming small hotel. Rooms are very clean. Very nice garden. Staff is pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Breackfast is excellent.

Review 97:carpet in the room should be replaced by new one

Review 98:Friendly staff, speaking english, french and some of them italian. Pretty silent place, despite it's near train.

Review 99:Little street noise but to be expected. Trains no problem Did run out of toilet roll twice. Need spare roll in bathroom.

Review 100:Convenient to train station. Helpful staff from reception to cleaners.

Review 101:Good location, short 20min walk into Antibes or 1 euro for the bus in..Right next to train station. Plenty of places to go eat. Great helpfulstaff to help you get started when you first arrive.

Review 102:The low score scared me but I trusted my colleague and glad I did causethe low score is a false alert.

Review 103:A colleague booked this hotel for me. I liked what I found. He returnshere everytime. Staff calls him by name and recognised him on check-inby name. Nice touch.

Review 104:Staff and nice rooms. Feels bright, clean and the wi-fi is free all over hotel which is great and easy to access. Not always the case . Will definitely return here on next trip.

Review 105:Room a little cold on arrival.

Review 106:Just right in every way; rooms r good size with large bathrooms.Staff attentive and helpful and the presentation of the rooms; clean, modern and bright. Refreshing for a two star. Am going back for mynext three visits.

Review 107:Just the ants in the bathroom and were occasionally running up and down the walls and on the sink.

Review 108:The location was ideal, close to the train station and easy walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were a very good size and fully air-conditioned.

Review 109:The staff was not so open to give explanations about the service or about any other question! Breakfast cost 10 euros and bread was very limited. No eggs, no saucises. The bed had a very old matrix!!!! very unconfortable. Toilet paper very bad quality. I ask for hot water they have not! (the service was not so friendly)

Review 110:Very well located and clean. Big rooms. Good air conditioned. Beautifull garden.

Review 111:There was a little issue with parking as we had to park 500 metres away from hotel but it is understanding as the city was full of visitors so not such a big issue afterall.

Review 112:Was lovely. We enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff was amazing, location very close to seaside, room was adequately furnished and very lovely as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends or family and I want to come back.

Review 113:First room had problems with air conditioning, the water was spilling out of the system and there was terrible smell. So we had to move to another room, luckily there was another free room.

Review 114:Excellent service and professional staff...Maya was extremely helpful and friendly and made our stay a very pleasant one...Thank you for going out of your way to help us. . The beach was a short walk past local shops and had many lovely restaurants right on the beach where food and drinks were brought whilst sunbathing on the beach loungers...a real treat!

Review 115:This was a great quaint hotel. Excellent location 2 minutes from thetrain station yet remarkably quiet. Post office and laundry close by 3minutes. Staff was the friendliest I experienced in my month long visitto France. Told them to save me a room for next year. It's not luxurybut for the price it's the best value out there. Great for train travelI stayed at place in Nice for twice as much not as convenient to thetrain station and the hotel was not as helpful .

Review 116:Friendly, relaxed, comfortable hotel, well sited in the pleasant atmosphere of Juan les Pins. Handily placed close to the Rail Station with good coastal Rail and Bus links. Staff were very helpful, efficient, friendly and keen to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Would strongly recommend it to others and would happily stay there again.

Review 117:The room was advertised as air conditioned, but during warm days in Maythe hotel had not yet switched their system from heating to cooling.Still they insisted that it was an air conditioned room.

Review 118:The staff was really helpful and kind.

Review 119:the room was not silent as indicated; wifi to improve

Review 120:Location and good quality/price ratio

Review 121:Nice place, nothing special but clean and functional.
