Reviews for Fornalutx Petit Hotel
Review 1:Rain in from Roof in to bed, staff did exactly know. Smell of toilett in entry hall, eating room No parking, sometime there is a free parking slot you have to walk with all your bags 1km Mess with the cars in village center...
Review 2:nice view from the room good location for a walking trip
Review 3:Would have been nice to have kettle in room. There was an honesty bar but no re-hydrating tea of coffee.
Review 4:Location quiet and staff were very friendly. Despite being a solo traveller I had an upgrade to a pleasant room. Except the totally ensuite bathroom with no doors and clear glass shower. Good view of the bed from the loo!!! Perhaps acceptable to mainly German clientele.
Review 5:The bed needed a new mattress. We were aware of no lift so stairs not a problem for us, people should consider this as have to carry own cases up to your room
Review 6:The manager was very friendly which gave a warm welcome on arrival and our room was ready early so could have a rest before heading out to walk around the village.
Review 7:This hotel has had some clever photography! not what we expected. Room sub standard, staff moody, ants everywhere, shower leaking but nothing done about it. not a happy experience. we will never be back.
Review 8:i liked the location of the hotel.
Review 9:we paid €180 per night for a 2* hostal accommodation, bed was uncomfortable, shower was set the wrong way on the wall, hairdryer was hanging off the wall and the decor was in need of a serious make over, Generally a bad overpriced hotel, car park was €12 a night [300 metres from the hotel]. As we live on Menorca we visit Mallorca regularly and we've stayed in much better accomodation for €50 per night.
Review 10:leaving the hotel to eat out and meet up with friends
Review 11:Beds a little uncomfortable, quite a few stairs to carry bags up to room with out assistance..
Review 12:Loved the Location, the history of the hotel and pool.. Wonderful walks nearby..
Review 13:The ancient building has been restored to perfection, with stunning antiques and artwork adoring the walls. Breakfasts were tasty and staff were friendly and helpful. The Petit Hotel is by far the most superior accommodation in Fornalutx.
Review 14:Would like tea and coffee making facility at the honesty bar. Was provided during our last visit.
Review 15:Wonderful views from the gardens, good breakfast. We had one of the large doubles which look out over the valley. Air con worked a treat and we had complete control. Wi-fi free and very good signal. Cold drinks available all day via honesty fridge.
Review 16:Would have liked more fruit at breakfast. Wild cats wandering around garden. Some algae/ moss in pool.
Review 17:In beautiful village. Quaint hotel. Very comfortable junior suite.
Review 18:This hotel is in a stunning location. It has the most amazing views from the bedrooms and terraces. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel owner bends over backwards to make your stay enjoyable.
Review 19:Everything was fantastic, from arrival to departure. Location is stunning and the view from our bedroom was breath-taking, with the mountains right in front of us. Lots of choice for breakfast, whatever your tastes. Spent couple of days just chilling in the garden and by the pool. It's so peaceful it was the perfect getaway from London. Staff were incredibly friendly and made our stay comfortable and just fantastic. Good location if you just want to chill out and well situated for getting around Mallorca as well. Will definitely return when next in Mallorca
Review 20:Took full payment at the time of booking. This should not have been done according to confirmation documents. Traveling with friends whose booking was completely messed up. So two lots of management mess ups. Owner apologetic and managed to retrieve the situation but not the best start to a holiday. Don't be out off but perhaps fully check ahead of arrival to ensure all is as it should be
Review 21:Lovely pool and gardens charming views. Very quaint.
Review 22:Could do better on some of the smaller details. Room door not very secure. Hand basin drained very slowly. Poor TV reception and sound. No shampoo, all toilietries were body lotion. No tea making facilities (kettle later provided). Photos exaggerate size of pool.
Review 23:Lovely location. Charming manager. Quality breakfast. Large room.
Review 24:parking is scarce.
Review 25:Beautiful view from patio and out living room window. Space in accommodations. Quiet setting. Delicious breakfast included. Staff was friendly and worked hard to make sure stay was perfect. Great value for money.
Review 26:In the room we had, the bathroom occupied a niche in the corner of the room with three wall, no doors. The toilet was part of this arrangement. Most of the furnishings (modern) were tired with obvious damage giving the room a very shabby look. It was not possible to open the windows as the smell coming into the room of, what appeared to be sewage, was over powering and because of this the inefficient air conditioning had to be kept on at all times. Towels were so hard they could have been graded as sand-paper. The manager was appraised of these two matters. He stated that no fabric conditioner was used for ecological reasons and seemed surprised at the description of the smell but did not provide any further explanation in respect of this nor did it seem that any investigation into it took place as he did not address it again either during the remainder of our stay nor at the time of our departure. What was noticeable was that he did not enquire if our stay was satisfactory at the time of departure.
Review 27:The views from the hotel, gardens and pool. Staff at breakfast were very pleasant.
Review 28:Nice welcome and room and public areas very clean. Pool a welcome relief from the heat and breakfast presented and served well. Delivers what it says.
Review 29:Nothing too much, maybe bed a little firm for my liking
Review 30:Loved location and tranquillity. Small hotel with very friendly staff Sunbathing to total silence ( apart from chickens and sheep!! ) Guests from around Europe
Review 31:Very welcoming. Brilliant buffet breakfast. Stunning mountain views from the terrace. Friendly staff Good Sauna
Review 32:Owner & staff were excellent - very helpful & obliging. Breakfasts were fantastic. We were upgraded to the suite which was a lovely room
Review 33:Unkempt gardens. Haphazard electricals. Uncomfortable bed/pillows.
Review 34:Location. View. Friendliness. Charm.
Review 35:Great breakfast Lovely location. Spectacular views
Review 36:I was made to feel very welcome in this lovely hotel. The breakfast was great and the view from my window stunning.
Review 37:Excellent location, facilities and helpful staff.
Review 38:Nothing
Review 39:Lovely hotel in a beautiful quiet location. Friendly helpful staff, great breakfast. Historic building which had not lost it's charm.
Review 40:carrying my bag up three flights of stairs, there is no lift.
Review 41:the swimming pool, breakfast on the terrace.
Review 42:No staff ! The Marie Celeste of hotels. 2 star pretending to be 4
Review 43:Its a lovely place.
Review 44:Little bit noisy because of the nature of the building
Review 45:Views, staff, facilities, Fornalutx
Review 46:Pillows could be more comfortable
Review 47:Courteous and helpful staff Delightful setting - good views of orange and lemon groves from bedroom Good breakfast
Review 48:location for walking and relaxing!
Review 49:The place is much to pricy for the performance on all levels, which we read before we booked, but we didn't believe it. Unfortunatly the assessments online were right. In particular the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly the entire stay. The room was poorly soundproofed, which meant we had to listen to our room neighbors morning toilet every morning at 7:30. We were a bit concerned about security, because the building is accessible at any time and deserted from the staff at 6 o'clock, which was very weird. If you have any question after 6 o'clock, you won't have a possibility to get in touch with the staff. Fornalutx might be safe and to have the garden door open all night is also fine, but only as long as some staff is still present.
Review 50:We enjoyed the garden and the view very much. Fornalutx is perfect, if you are looking for a a quite and not very touristy place. But we recommend to look for another hotel to stay, it is not worth paying so much for a nice view.
Review 51:Owner did not order local taxi to take us to airport. Instead he orderedtaxi from palma and we think we were overcharged by five euro.
