Reviews for Hôtel Juana
Review 1:The beds are very hard!
Review 2:Everything about this hotel..site, staff were excellent, cleanliness, bathroom, the gorgeous lift, the linen, it is ALL 5 star!
Review 3:There was some sort of generator outside our room which was very noisy. However we were moved to another room very quickly which was great.
Review 4:Staff very lovely and helpful. Charming hotel.
Review 5:I have noted that it was our anniversary and that I want a room in a high up floor . We got a room on a first floor next to the room With a kid. Also at arrivel you won't find even A Boatle of water as complimentary." Becouse of the end of the season" , even they still had guests , the pool was dirty and looked pretty runed down , a table on the balcony didn't have a table cloth was pretty sad looking ... if you ask hotel to reserve something for you , be ready to pay 2 times higher rate than usual. It's def not 5* hotel !
Review 6:The location is great !
Review 7:Difficult to understand Breakfast Price at E27, we didn't partake. Also Drink and even Tea Prices were excessive.
Review 8:Nice hotel helpful staff, clean and good facilities, well located.
Review 9:I know it's France but one of the concierges didn't smile once at us and came across as very unfriendly. There was a younger one who was better. Our mattress was so old it had grooves in it so my partner and I couldn't even snuggle in the middle of the bed. The hotel has a charming 30's ascthetic but it needs a little updating like soft close toilet lids and better wifi. Wasn't really catering to young people. You'd love it if you were in your 50's and over.
Review 10:The guy that waited on us whilst at the pool area was fantastic! His name was Merlin! He was smiling, friendly and attentive. The hotel has an old world charm about it which is nice if that's your thing. The receptionist ladies were lovely. The room was decent sized with all the things you would expect from a 3-4 star hotel.
Review 11:Pool area, very small and area around the pool needed pressure washing.. Pool and outside dinning area Right next to noisy road.
Review 12:Excellent breakfast, very clean room ,lovely bathroom
Review 13:Shower door didn't stop water from leaking onto floor but not a major issue.
Review 14:The room was huge, bathroom was also big with separate bath and shower, blackout blinds, comfy big bed, friendly helpful staff, pool, and good room service :)
Review 15:The staff are very welcoming and helpful. We go back every year because the staff make our visit special. The location is excellent and you have many restaurants to choose from.
Review 16:I can't sleep first night because of ants in my bed! I told about itin the morning but ants were in bed till evening. After second complaintants disappeared. When taking a shower it takes a very long time forwater to become warm. Really very long!
Review 17:Very good stuff
Review 18:Do not book the classic room! We were lucky to get an upgrade...also the majority of our time the wifi wasn't working
Review 19:Location is close to everything without all the noise, the room was spacious and very clean! And the staff were amazing, especially Anne at reception!
Review 20:Staff a little slow during breakfast and dinner service. Seemed to get guests orders muddled a few times.
Review 21:Location. The Consierge, Benjamin, was absolutely first class - we'd like this note to be passed on to his Superiors.
Review 22:Art Deco style hotel, really really polite and attentive staff, very clean and well maintained for its age - the old style lift was a really great feature
Review 23:Tired hotel room, holes in the walls and tiles scuffed, cracked mirrors - all in all a very tired room and I can't believe what we paid for it
Review 24:Staff were helpful
Review 25:Breakfast is very overpriced for continental options at 27 euro. If you want omelette etc you need to pay more Pool area is very nice but is quite small and becomes full if not there early
Review 26:Room, bed, ambience of hotel in general was very sophisticated
Review 27:Felt deceived by photos- we went to Juan-les-Pins to have a hotel on the sea. The hotel by the sea in photos is the sister hotel- Belles Rives not Juana. Paid extra to have a terrace that had no view with a distinctly average room. Very disappointing.
Review 28:Food was great and staff were very friendly.
Review 29:This hotel should not be rated as a 5 star hotel. The plastic shower stall was the smallest I ever encountered. The room as well as the bathroom were small by even a 4 star rating. The menu was the same lunch and dinner every day.
Review 30:The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 31:The beds didn't have the luxurious feel you now come to expect from a 5* hotel. This would go a long way to the adding that touch of luxury. We spent a day at the Belle Rive beach club and have to say the waiting staff require much more training with regard general attitude and attention to detail. I know it is a relaxed beach club but it needn't be a student surf shack...!!!
Review 32:The staff are excellent very friendly and very helpful. Decor very nice with a good mix of contemporary and deco styling. Nice to have access to the Belle Rive which is just amazing.
Review 33:Room with 'balcony' - balcony very small and couldn't be sat on - should be better described.
Review 34:Excellent staff - polite & couldn't be more helpful. Concierge advice reliable Breakfast excellent Really liked room with terrace. Good position for beaches, restaurants, shops etc.
Review 35:Rooms feels old - needs renovation Very poor soundproofing for adjacent rooms Lack of view in our room vs the price paid
Review 36:Location Staff Valet Parking Breakfast Access to beach at Belles-Rives
Review 37:- breakfast - service - staff (restaurant, housemaid, reception) - location - hotel needs maintenance - качество не соответствует стоимости, тянет на 3,5-4 звезды
Review 38:The staff at Juana make you feel very welcome and at home immediately. We have stayed there a few times and return every year. The location is perfect to walk into Juan-les-Pins, shops and restaurants.
Review 39:There is no other place quite like the Juana in Cannes / Juan les Pin. The location is perfect. The staff is superb. It has a nice dining terrace, beautiful pool and an arrangement with their sister hotel the Bel Rive where you can spend the day at the beach and have a terrific lunch. It's just plain marvelous!
Review 40:No espresso/coffee-maker in the room. Mini-bar variety on offer could be improved. Swimming pool is too small and right next to a noisy street. Hotel is not on the beach as such. Breakfast could be served for a bit longer/later, given it's a resort/seaside hotel.
Review 41:Good, central location in Juan-les-Pins. Great staff and attentive service. Lovely sea views. Big rooms and well-equipped bathrooms.
Review 42:I stayed at the Juana with a friend for a girlie weekend. We had a fantastic time. The breakfast was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. I will be returning.
Review 43:The rooms were poorly maintained and cleaned as was the swimming pool. This was our second stay and a lot has changed...not exactly for the better!
Review 44:The central location and small hotel feel when you arrive/depart. Transfers to and from airport were perfect.
Review 45:The art deco decor, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff and the location was central to Juan-les-pins.
Review 46:Room was very dated and over priced. Food average. Pool area is underwhelming.
Review 47:Location is good, and outside restaurant area is nice .
Review 48:drinks expensive, being beer or coffee
Review 49:friendly staff, good last minute deal,
Review 50:Beautiful place and staff! Relax, comfort, cosiness! It's place for your perfect vocation!
Review 51:Staff very helpful and polite patio and room excellent
Review 52:Bed and pillows too hard
Review 53:Excellent staff, very convenient location
Review 54:Charming hotel, good food, nice size rooms, very pleasant stay would recommend to my friends and plan to stay again on my next trip to Antibes.
Review 55:The staff were really helpful and made my stay very pleasant
Review 56:offered 2 drinks in bar, but not valid unless you had dinner. Mis leaaing and frustratingdinner drinks, b
Review 57:The pool is quite poor. The building itself is quite dated and as such rather noisy. I would not say it gives good value for money.
Review 58:The weather
Review 59:nothing
Review 60:Concierge service at lift
Review 61:If you are staying this is the place.Excelent and best location in the town
Review 62:Don't think my AC worked correctly.
Review 63:Relaxed yet professional atmosphere, charming environment for a relaxing weekend break.
Review 64:500 Euro a day extra 30 pp breakfast pigeons eating all food
Review 65:Rooms and bathrooms were rundown, swimming pool very average and small. Staff not helpful
Review 66:Position is good
Review 67:Nothing
Review 68:Everything especially the friendly, courteous and professional staff team
Review 69:the room should have a complimentary bottle of water and maybe a Nespresso machine
Review 70:we loved the staff and the service
Review 71:The price value for rooms and their variation in price despite poor view
Review 72:The hospitality of the staff and the valet parking
Review 73:Rooms a little small and the pool area not huge!
Review 74:Not enough sun beds, towels ran out often... But always attended to if you mentioned it ... Not really a didn't like, just a comment.
Review 75:Calm, private, polite staff, fantastic location, little chocs left on bed each evening.... Perfection
Review 76:The concierge is excellent and the young man who parks your car (free of charge, around the Jardin de Pinede) is very good too. The sister hotel, the art deco Belle Rives on the beach is also wonderful and open to guests of the Juana.
Review 77:Swimming pool was very dirty room was very outdated with dated bathroom leaking shower lack of power points would not call it 5 star
Review 78:Location. Foyer and bar were nice
Review 79:No coffee machine, tea bags, coffee bags provided in the room. No ice bucket provided in the room. No bottle water provided daily.
Review 80:Bath robes provided in the room. Slippers provided in the room.
Review 81:we felt tricked on arrival, because some of the pictures are from the Belles Rives hotel and the choice of pictures gives on one hand the impression, that the hotel is on the shore and on the other hand that the park "La Pinède" is part of either one of the hotels, which it is not. In fact, between the hotel and the shore (and the Belles Rives) are two streets and two public parks, which is generally not a problem, but not nice when the pictures make you believe that you will be a little bit more off from the busyness of the town. The mattress and especially the pillows are a little bit too hard.
Review 82:Good service, nice, clean hotel, very good restaurant with nice staff and very tasty food. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Overall a very good hotel, but
Review 83:Good day! I'am very dissapointed, because of the sagging mattress I couldn't sleep all night. I hope that the other time when I stay in your hotel, there won't be such discomfort.
Review 84:However the room we were given over looked some bins and there was anoise in the room at night which kept me awake. The breakfast was veryexpensive at 32 euros each. We would not stay there again
Review 85:I did like the staff very polite and helpful. The hotel was very niceand kept in good order. The parking was extra at 30 euros a day.
Review 86:One day they didn't clean the rooms ( just emptied the bins), shower leaked and all the extras are super expensive.
Review 87:Nice big rooms, old school south of France style furnishings. Nice staff
Review 88:check in and check out - front desk let the hotel down Room decor poor Room unclean Noisy room service poor expensive valet parking
Review 89:concierge - very friendly and welcoming
Review 90:Our room was not so good as in many 4 star hotels that I have booked. The room was small, you could see that the tiles in the bathroom are used, the furniture was not at all 5 stars. Breakfast was good, but much too expensive.
Review 91:Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Review 92:View from our room wasn't wonderful. The bathrooms were spacious and very clean but ready for modernisation. One of our group had a new bathroom so they are obviously in the process of updating them.
Review 93:Staff were excellent prior to our arrival and during our stay. The concierge organised and booked a concert and restaurants for us in advance of our trip and couldn't have been more helpful. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is one of the smaller hotels and has a nice intimate feel to it. The rooms were spacious and very clean.
Review 94:Pool area and rooms/building by pool were not to standard expected of a hotel of this quality.
Review 95:Great location, concierge and art deco style of main hotel.
Review 96:Just because you fold the toilet paper into a V doesn't make it a great hotel. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were awful, the hotel was noisy. We had breakfast in the room both days, on day one they forgot cutlery, and milk, on day two they forgot salt and pepper and forks. we asked about softer pillows, they forgot to do anything about it. A great hotel looks after all of the small details, Juana had no idea about the small detail and don't realise in doing so, that they ruin the experience. At up to £500 per night, they need to be a lot better.
Review 97:A great location, close to the centre of Juan les Pins, easy to park nearby
Review 98:no air conditioning although we were there in May it was very stuffy at night time. Price of breakfast was very steep. Service was slow but friendly Very expensive rates I think you could fine something just as nice at a much lower rate.
Review 99:very well appointed room and ensuite. Nice pool area
Review 100:Booking.com had mixed up what is in the double rooms and in the suits. The staff convincingly told us that only the suits have two balconiesand nespresso coffee machines. This was a letdown for us, but nothing toblame Juana for.
Review 101:Juana is a very friendly place.
Review 102:We had drinks and snacks in the bar one evening and the snacks were not good at all. But we liked the atmosphere.
Review 103:The hotel was beautiful and I liked my big room although the view was boring. The atmosphere was great and the stafff pleasant.
Review 104:The gym should properly be described as a "cardio room". Wefelt neglected at breakfast which was only 2 Euro less than the dinnermenu but nobody asked us what we would like to eat from the menu tojustify the price. We were left with the very modest continentalbreakfast buffet.
Review 105:Excellent reception, concierge, room service and dining in therestaurant. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with a luxuriousand romantic ambience.
Review 106:Staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel was luxurious but notpretentious. The rooms and other facilities were very comfortable. Weloved the old fashioned lift. Restaurant was very good and surprisinglyaffordable.. Breakfast is a bit steep at 27 euros P.P. but there arealternatives close by. All in all we loved it!
Review 107:A more extensive room service menu would have been appreciated. A better gym. In the summer, the private beach belongs to the sister hotel, La Belle Rive , and is a 7 minute walk away, across main roads. So not easy to go back and forth during the day.
Review 108:The Juana is so comfortable and relaxed. As a woman travelling on my own I felt totally at ease, it felt luxurious and homely. Love the Art Deco feel and the original central lift. ...make sure you stay as high up as possible for the best views And only on the front. I was on front on 4th floor and had magnificent views of the bay.
Review 109:Bearing in mind that the Hotel Juana is expensive, we felt that thistime, we didn't quite get the value for money that we'd expected. Ourroom, although comfortable and nicely furnished, was smaller than we'dhad before and overlooked a big block of flats which was quite near.Unfortunately every night round about midnight one of the residentsplayed very loud music for a while. This was not the hotel's fault andwe solved it by using earplugs but it was a nuisance. The bathroom wasspacious but decorated in an old fashioned shade of orange, includingthe bath and basins - but not the toilet, which was white! We had abathroom like that four years ago on our first visit but thought they'dhave been updated by now! Breakfasts were fine but, again, consideringthe price we were paying, could have been better. We would have likedmore choice of fruit and of breads and rolls. The other two hotels we'dstayed in on our holiday were cheaper but had better breakfasts and wewere a bit disappointed this time.Beware what time of year you go to Juan les Pins. On the 7th July there was a big pop concert across the park. The day before, while we were trying to laze by the swimming pool, they were trying out the acoustics and the sound reverberated all over town. On the night of the concert we went to Antibes for dinner to get away from the noise but it went on until about 1.00 a.m. If you love pop music, it's a great time to go to Juan les Pins, otherwise keep away! Again, not the hotel's fault but all this detracted from our enjoyment a bit.
Review 110:This was our third stay at the Hotel Juana in four years as we wereobviously very impressed on our previous visits. We enjoyed our stayagain, although there were one or two things that disappointed us thistime. However, as always, the staff were marvellous - very friendly andhelpful. Our room was comfortable and it was always nice to havebreakfast out on the terrace every morning. The location is excellent, you just go across a small park opposite the hotel and then you're onthe beach. It's only a couple of minutes from the frenetic activity ofthe centre of Juan les Pins, but those minutes make such a differencebecause the hotel is in an area which is usually much more peaceful.
Review 111:The restaurant service was quite slow on our 2nd night due to there being a concert on and the restaurant was very busy. Waited almost 1 hour to receive food and 20-25 mins for bottle of wine.
Review 112:Very friendly staff, clean luxurious hotel with a very good location and pool!
Review 113:Breakfast not included in my suite price of over 1000 euros per night, pathetic!!! And want to charge 27 euros per person so we chose never toeat or drink in the hotel due to their petty approach!! Spa and gym verytired and not useable. Because of pool and location would go back butonly in a standard room!!
Review 114:Lovely feel to the Hotel and pool area very relaxing and gtreatlocation.
Review 115:No bad points worth mentioning to be honest!
Review 116:Very friendly staff, fabulous comfy rooms, good wifi connections, great price for the luxuriousness of the hotel. Breakfast was pricey (but lovely) at 27 Euros pp, but went across the park one day to a local cafe and had a lovely French breakfast at only 5.50 Euros. Tried to have lunch on our last day on the terrace in the sunshine, but service was very poor, and after waiting 15 mins, we decided to go elsewhere, but this was the only bad point of the whole stay. There are loads of places to eat and drink nearby :-)
Review 117:price of breakfast a bit expensive
Review 118:Great location Great facilities Excellent staff Will definitely stay there again
Review 119:Non smoking room smelt like smoke
Review 120:Staff were superb. Helpful and friendly.
Review 121:Considering the hotel is a SLH, it could benefit from an upgrade/ refurbishment in some areas
Review 122:Location
Review 123:No towells for the beach. This would have been appreciated.Roome
Review 124:The staff were perfect. Location was great. Rooms are vey clean and comfortable.
Review 125:Ambience, personnel and location
Review 126:staff were delightful helpful and friendly. the hotel was in a quiet road but only two minutes walk from the seafront.
Review 127:Noise of building works near the pool (outside the hotel).
Review 128:Excellent service, great location, good value for money.
