Reviews for Hôtel Restaurant des Ormes

Review 1:The bedroom lighting could have been brighter.

Review 2:A warm and homely hotel with a very warm and welcoming staff. The chef was outstanding and dining in the hotel was a gastronomic delight. They can also cater for larger families with children.

Review 3:Room not well laid out and on the small side for the price. Has boutique pretensions and punching above it's weight on price. Ambiance needs improving - trying to be too uber cool.

Review 4:Room was quiet and had view over lovely back garden. Young staff very willing and hardworking. Meal in the restaurant very good, if a bit pricey, as was the wine.

Review 5:The bathroom was badly lit (one light bulb over the washbasin). The bath plus would not stay in and the bath itself was very awkward to get into and out of due to a glass screen which could not be moved. The basin plug failed to retain the water. There was only one available power point. The breakfast was of poor quality and certainly not worth 14 Euros each, bitter orange juice, unpalatable fruit salad, poor quality bread and a selection of tasteless jams. Service at dinner was so rapid that we were in and out in 45 minutes and barely had time to enjoy our bottle of wine, indeed had to leave half of it. Our plates were removed as soon as we had taken the last mouthful and barely put the knife and fork down. All in all the restaurant was not enjoyable experience.

Review 6:The owner and receptionist were helpful and friendly and welcoming. The hotel looks charming and is in a good location overlooking the little port, with pretty gardens. It is quiet and peaceful.

Review 7:Location is not 'silent' during the day due to road traffic and busy yacht harbour

Review 8:Very helpful staff. Good value enjoyable food. Comfortable room with limited space.

Review 9:The rooms are a bit on the small side. Incidentals (drinks, etc) are very much on the pricey side.

Review 10:The location; the staff; the food. The gardens were lovely and if we'd had better weather we would have spent a lot of time there.

Review 11:Slow service when dining in the garden. One price forall rooms could result in dissatisfaction as some rooms we saw seemed quite small.

Review 12:Lovely 'boutique-type' hotel where emphasis on peace and tranquility. Perfectly located just a hundred meters from the small town and looking straight out over the water inlet. Try and get a front room.

Review 13:gorgeous location, great attention to detail and interior, tres chic!
