Reviews for L'Albadu

Review 1:L'Albadu is a lovely hotel set on a farm. The staff are so nice and helpful and it feels more like a home stay but is a professionally run hotel. They even took us to the Railway Station as we didn't have a car and returned as one of us left something in the van. The food is great. Corsican home cooking served on the lovely terrace. Our best hotel experience in Corsica.

Review 2:We had nice valley view, the Hotel was close to the city center and the breakfast was very good. This Hotel has a quality like others too, but still its own charme!

Review 3:We had booked this place on a "horse stud" as we have horses of our own and thought it would give us a common interest and perhaps offer the opportunity to ride or at least spend some time around the horses. However we found the staff so unwelcoming and our two days there were a complete disappointment. On arrival the receptionist, showed us to our room without barely a word - no information on availability of meals, rides, what we could do etc. The staff member looking after the horses was completely rude and wouldn't even make eye contact, let allow respond to our "bon jour". The owner, when she finally appeared in the evening did offer us an aperritif but after that made no effort to converse. While we don't speak french, I am always willing to attempt a few words, and sign language and smiles worked everywhere else we went, but she made no effort at all. We felt completely austricised at breakfast - despite my obvious confusion over which pot was coffee, she made no effort to help. Even a french couple staying there weren't told that their package included dinner, and they drove back to town to eat elsewhere - only to find out the next day they had missed out on their provided meal!. We sat outside eating a sandwich we'd brought with us, (not having a car to drive elsewhere) but it turns out we could have bought dinner there - if only they'd told us! All very disappointing.

Review 4:Quiet location with comfortable room and nice common areas, with the potential to be a really interesting place to stay, but the staff really let the side down

Review 5:Flies, flies, flies...and also mosquitoes. If you're looking for a place to crash for a night, it might be okay. But, if you're like us, and making plans months in advance for a nice, relaxing vacation- this is not the place for you. The room was like a prison cell with minimal comforts: no screens on the windows, no ac, it was noisy from first thing in the morning until late at night, and it was above their welding shop. This is basically a horse farm that supplements their operation with guests that come through. We were told we'd have a veal dinner if we purchased it ahead of time, but we ended up with a grey omelet (your money is better spent eating out). We paid in advance for a 5 night stay, but left after 3 nights because we couldn't take it any longer. About the flies: it is a horse farm and they pile the manure below the veranda. You are covered in flies for your entirety of your stay.
