Reviews for Hôtel La Villa Cap d’Antibes
Review 1:The only downside at the moment is the building work going on next door but this is obviously not the hotels fault.
Review 2:All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was very nice looking over the pool. Walking distance to restaurants and bars.
Review 3:Room and bathroom were a bit small. Maybe add another lesser price choice for breakfast? I am not a big breakfast eater, but still had to pay the full price.
Review 4:Fabulously helpful staff. Took care of late luggage arrival issue and even helped us with GPS issue. Lovely room with garden view, as well as a bit of the Mediterranean Sea. Copious and delicious breakfast, with nice outdoor seating area. Pool area comfortable and calm. Loved the hammock! Ideally located.
Review 5:Breakfast a bit expensive for what it was but ok
Review 6:Fantastic boutique feel was a pleasant surprise. Small lovely details and decor just wonderful Staff gave free upgrade which was wonderful. Room and place had a peaceful vibe. Would go back
Review 7:None!
Review 8:Lovely location - in a quiet road but near enough to the beach and centre of town. Relaxed and unhurried atmosphere but all the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful.
Review 9:Excellent and peaceful location but a short walk to the busy town and restaurants. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, we had a wonderful relaxing time at La Villa.
Review 10:A 19 EUR breakfast (french style) and charges for peanuts in the rooms every day, given the price of the accomodation, is a rip-off...
Review 11:Nice pool area and very nicely decorated. Good parking in the garden of the hotel.
Review 12:You do have to walk to most beaches for about 7 minutes, the hotel is located on a slight hill too.
Review 13:A charming, stylish, modern design hotel with a lovely small pool with hammocks and sunbeds. Good breakfast selection. Very helpful staff. Parking.
Review 14:Buffet breakfast didn't look like value for money so skipped a nf enjoyed antibes instead.
Review 15:Great pool and very friendly staff. Overall excellent experience.
Review 16:We have just returned from our honeymoon, staying at the lovely La Villa hotel. It was all we were expecting of the hotel and more. The staff were always very friendly, courteous and extremely helpful which made for a very pleasant stay. All public areas were spotlessly clean, as was our room with a balcony and (partial) sea view. We loved the pool area with the attractive patio/terrace area where you could order a drink or have a modest light lunch. The area surrounding the pool was very attractive with lots of lovely lush shrubs and palm trees. Buddha ornaments and rattan furniture gave it a "Thai" feel, as did the interior. We purposely chose not to stay in a large hotel and La Villa fitted us perfectly. There was no loud music, visitors mainly kept themselves to themselves and it was very restful Location - the hotel is situated in a residential area, around 10 mins walk to the nearest beach and 15 mins into the centre of town, so all very convenient. To tour you can easily get to Antibes by bus (about 15 mins) or walk to the station (about 20 mins) and catch a train to Monaco, Cannes or Nice to name just a couple of places. I don't know if we were unlucky the week we were there, but the trains were continually late so make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you are returning home via the Cannes TGV connection to Paris from Juan Les Pins We are looking forward to going back and staying at the La Villa next year. Thank you for a memorable honeymoon
Review 17:As we using 2 rooms but effectively only one the cleaning service of room 6 was once or twice a bit late.
Review 18:The very pleasant and professional attitude of the reception staff! The discreet efficiency of the breakfast staff.
Review 19:Watch your step! There is an irregular sized step into the bathroom, with a metal corner plate. I stubbed my foot multiple times (you'd think I would have remembered after the first time), and the final time ended up with a nasty cut and bruise.
Review 20:Everything! Balcony overlooking the pool, quiet rooms, kind and friendly staff, decoration, free parking, strong wifi connection. Walking distance to beach, Juan-les-Pins Quiet lunch around the pool was lovely.
Review 21:there was a very strong patchouli-like scent that permeated the lobby and many of the rooms. the lobby has an eastern decor so it must be part of the theme - but we had to move rooms and pay for a larger room just to find one where we could breathe. if you are at all sensitive to smells I would recommend that you stay elsewhere.
Review 22:the room was spacious and clean. the decor was simple but stylish. the staff were accommodating. we could walk down the hill to town.
Review 23:A little bit out of the town (about 10-15 minute walk), but this is reflected in the price of the rooms.
Review 24:The staff, particularly the receptionists, were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Review 25:The breakfast is way overpriced for what you get. Needs improvement. Also windows need to be covered in bath/shower area. Neighbors can actually see you showering.
Review 26:Great Value. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Aneeise and Sharlee were amazing. Great room with balcony and view. Pool was nice and warm. Location was perfect. We will come back for sure.
Review 27:A minor glich with the wi-fi as it was weak on the first weekend. This was corrected on the Monday.
Review 28:This hotel was the closest thing to perfect that we have experienced. Friendly, helpful staff, location 10 minutes walk from Juan les Pins, and modern, clean rooms. I would recommend it without reservation.
Review 29:The nearby construction works are not the fault of the hotel but it did spoil the peace around the little swimming pool which would have been a welcome addition The room we stayed in was very small and the bed was not to our liking, but there again this could simply be due to our preferences.
Review 30:The staff were simply lovely and most helpful they directed us to the locals beach which was simply lovely. Lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The staff were certainly amongst some of the best we have encountered
Review 31:Like most showers in France, it is hard to take one without flooding the bathroom (no curtain or partition); air conditioning was not very strong and we were a little warm at night
Review 32:Great Staff! They helped arrange for a doctor to make a house call on a Sunday morning when everything was closed and located the only pharmacy in Antibes open on a Sunday morning to pick up a prescription. Delicious breakfast on a beautiful terrace.
Review 33:My room was not in the main building. The WiFi was terrible, faded on and off. The parking was always full. I had to move my car in the middle of the night and then couldn't get back to sleep. The breakfast was a buffet where the scrambled eggs were not great and the cost was an extra 19EUR which I was not warned about. Room was a bit small but fortunately I was on my own.
Review 34:Staff friendly and tried to be helpful.
Review 35:Asked for late check out as evening flight home but no flexibility and had to be out of room for 12 noon; best hotel could offer was to get changed in the reception toilet which was a little unusual. Also major building site nearby with cranes on and you can hear the construction noise from 8am until 4.30pm daily when sitting by hotel pool !
Review 36:location excellent, 3 minute walk into Juan le Pins, and only 10 minute walk into Antibes. Very quiet & relaxing hotel. Staff very friendly.
Review 37:Although the rooms are beautifully appointed the one we had which was a standard double room was very small with an equally small very narrow bathroom. The hotel is situated up a hill about a 10 minute walk from the centre of JLP so might not suit those who are not prepared for the steep walk back to the hotel after a night out.
Review 38:The hotel has all that you would want for a very relaxing holiday. The staff provide an excellent service to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It is set in a very tranquil residential area away from the centre of JLP.
Review 39:Expensive and unimpressive breakfast (cold egg). Weak air conditioning in room. No shower screen. Noisy family and smoking at pool.
Review 40:Quiet location. Beautiful decor and pool area. Friendly staff. Sea view room with balcony. Bike hire.
Review 41:Nothing
Review 42:Fantastic boutique hotel, staff were very friendly and catered for all our needs including making us a packed lunch for a boat trip, could not have asked for more !! Great location benefitting from being close to town without the noise.
Review 43:We loved coming home to a home-like environment, with quiet and cool rooms to sleep. Every basic need was fulfilled , with smiles and comfort. I would definitely go back!
Review 44:The beds / mattresses could be a bit more comfortable!
Review 45:Extremely friendly and accomodating staff Free private parking is a huge plus in Juan les Pins Very good value for money Clean simple nice rooms Would definitely return.
Review 46:Cost for mini bar unreasonably expensive. Food, drink, breakfast, unreasonably expensive. Location - ok but a long hike uphill on the way back from town. A car required to make visits out, be aware of terrible French driving. 2/3 of cars have dents, this tells a story. An over populated over rated and very expensive part of Europe.
Review 47:Staff very friendly, cleanliness excellent. Pool good.
Review 48:I was there with my daughter and young grandson .. Every single member of the staff were so friendly and helpful in every way .. The food was excellent and the rooms lovely.
Review 49:An excellent hotel in a delightful location, with very quiet & comfortable rooms. The staff are very pleasant & helpful. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Juan les Pins. It is perfect retreat for those wanting a quiet relaxing holiday or as a base to tour the Côte d'Azur.
Review 50:aircon didn't work, parking very small, miniscule view of the ocean, and the room was quite small.
Review 51:Nice location
Review 52:Beds are a bit hard and pillows very hard.
Review 53:Views from hotel room, excellent front desk staff - so helpful and friendly.
Review 54:Very good and quiet place. The hotels seems to have been recently refurbished. Very nice and friendly staff. Free parking and good WiFi.
Review 55:The hotel was small with friendly and attentive staff.
Review 56:Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Very nice room. Tranquil.
Review 57:Rooms were cleaned too late
Review 58:The location and the pool and the balcony
Review 59:Clean and comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful
Review 60:Amazing location, friendly staff, gorgeous pool area!
Review 61:Free parking. Pool area is quiet. Close to Juan Les Pins and Antibes.
Review 62:Size of room and bathroom very cramped
Review 63:Location in relation to restaurants
Review 64:Only negative no drink making facilities in room not conducive to four star billing
Review 65:Tranquill situation and very individual
Review 66:Excellent stay. Staff were fantastic. Pool is beautiful. Location terrific for walking into town and great children s park nearby.
Review 67:- room was very hot, but we didn't complain as everything else was perfect!
Review 68:- staff - pool - location
Review 69:No complaints
Review 70:All
Review 71:walk into town
Review 72:Great location. Lovely Staff and overall just perfect.
Review 73:if you do not like the use or smell of incense, do not go. Hotel policy is to use this
Review 74:overall nice rooms and bathrooms , nice cleaning service
Review 75:Lovely small hotel in a perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great heated swimming pool.
Review 76:This hotel is wonderfull and very peacefull. The staff is very frendly. I feel excelent and free.
Review 77:The staff went the extra mile and sent out for Pizza's which we ate in the bar.
Review 78:Location is very nice and rooms has beautiful views for both directions. Pleasant decoration.
Review 79:Unfortunately out seaview including a telephone pole right in the centre. €38 for 2 Breakfast was costly.
Review 80:The hotel has a heated outdoor pool
Review 81:Original room was very small (107)
Review 82:The staff could not be more kind and helpful hope to go again next september
Review 83:The worst Coffe ever Breakfast is way to expensive for what u get
Review 84:Nice Rooms with sea view Cute Little Hotel Very quiet
Review 85:Cannot fault it in any way.
Review 86:The location The facilities The wonderful personal attention The decoration were 5 Star quality
Review 87:Breakfast was very expensive.
Review 88:Spacious room with sea view. Nice pool and pool area. Professional and very helpfull staff.
Review 89:Absolutely nothing
Review 90:Just about everything, probably the most charming hotel I have ever stayed at
Review 91:The staff without exception gave excellent service. The decor was tasteful, the facilities superb. I cannot remember ever staying in a better hotel.
Review 92:Breakfast was very good but a bit expensive @ 19.00 per person per day, but this is small criticism overall.
Review 93:An outstanding hotel in every aspect. We stayed five nights with our two year old daughter who loved the pool and the rooms. The entire staff were excellent and could not have done enough for us. Hotel is beautifully decorated, both interior and exterior. Would highly recommend this gem of a hotel in a beautiful part of France.
Review 94:Perfect situation; 5 minutes walk to Juan Les Pins in quiet area- 25 minutes walk to Antibes one way and Cap D'Antibes the other way. Hotel very stylish-rooms perfect; we had the cheapest and it still had a balcony and sea view. Pool area and gardens lovely. Free parking and Wi-Fi. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Looking around we felt we had chosen the best hotel in the area. We would definitely return.
Review 95:Very poor breakfast. Over priced and very basic for a 4 star hotel. More akin to a 2 star hotel. No choice of cooked breakfast for you. A standard requirement for a 4 star. €20 pp for a croissant or 2 and a bit of cereal or some rubber scrambled eggs. Outrageous in fact. Poolside service - where was everyone. You had to hunt a member of staff. Very small bathroom and shower that sent water everywhere. No shower curtain. Room service was not cleaned away after order. Hotel needs repainting and pool needs attention. Noisy …. Surrounded by various building sites. Not a place to relax. Lunch time menu is very disappointing. Most things missing as no one could be bothered to go to supermarket to buy ingredients missing as it was weekend. They should look ahead. Definitely more 3 star overall than 4 star.
Review 96:Good location, Friendly staff
Review 97:The room was not very large and we had the biggest, there was not enough storage space in the bedroom or bathroom.
Review 98:We liked the location because we could walk into Antibes and Juan. We also liked the swimming pool as it was a good size and was heated to a good temperature. Room service menu was practical and good value.
Review 99:Nothing not to like.
Review 100:The staff was super friendly and gets out of their way to attend to any of your requests. It felt like a small family run hotel, except this was extremely professional and luxiourious. It is also close to the each or u can chill out at the pool. Will stay again.
Review 101:Noise from the building site next door but not the hotels fault - the air con blowing over your face when trying to sleep
Review 102:Good Location - lovely room helpful staff beautifully clean
Review 103:Closer to Juan-les-Pins than to Antibes is some minus as Juan-les-Pins is a disaster town.
Review 104:Friendly staff, nice and large rooms, big balconies with view to the sea, great bathroom and bath, lovely pool.
Review 105:Poor breakfast, medium walking distance to the beach.
Review 106:I liked the friendly staff, the pool, the quiet surroundings, the room sea view and the balcony. Very clean hotel.
Review 107:Although it's a lovely hotel, all in all it's very expensive for what it is. For the money, rooms are smallish and would at the very least expect breakfast to be included.
Review 108:Great pool. Excellent staff. Nice rooms. Good breakfasts.
Review 109:Wonderful hotel. Not near the beaches, it is on the top of the hill with wonderful view and in quiet surrounding. Only 5 minutes from the center. Lovely pool.
Review 110:Only slight downside is location. It's quite handy to Juan les pins town centre for the beach restaurants, but it isn't the nicest town. That's not the hotels fault of course, but it would be the only reason not to stay there
Review 111:Very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Nicely decorated inside and great pool area at the back. Gardens and car parking area also very nice and well kept.
Review 112:Service Hospitality Friendly and quiet athmosphere English speaking staff Beautiful surroundings (garden) Clean and nice swimmingpool City centre and beach within walking distance
Review 113:The staff are so friendly and always make us feel welcome whenever westay at the hotel. They always bend over backwards to do whateverthey can to help. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds arevery comfortable. We loved the apple cake that was at breakfast also.Such a treat. We love staying here and always do for our businesstrips to Cannes
Review 114:Friendliness and helpfulness of the two reception staff, Agnes and Shirley. They gave good restaurant recommendations for Juan les Pains and Antibes. The quirky lift added to the charm of the hotel. The Comfort Sea View room gave an excellent view over the Marina. This was our wedding anniversary short break and was very relaxing. Taxis booked through reception arrived after about ten minutes.
Review 115:Minor omission was a table & chairs which we would have found useful we had a sofa & coffee table but poor height for writing or playing cards. We brought our balcony furniture in at night if we need a higher table but bit of a drag. Did not spoil anything about our trip but would have made a good room perfect. Also a proper sized ironing board would have been good
Review 116:Lovely intimate hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. Very comfortable and quiet. Lovely design. Other people have commented on room size but ours was great we had a junior suite with garden facing balcony. Lovely week in this great hotel
Review 117:Very comfortable and nice hotel. Quiet location, nice and very friendly personal, every your question or problem will be carefully succeed. Wonderful breakfast (but expensive). The hotel is not far from the public nice beach (that is free). Exelent domastic champain! Wi-Fi is everywhere and computer and printer for everybody near the reception.
Review 118:We were a party of 5, friends from the UK and Australia, i did not here one negative comment from anyone of us.
Review 119:The style of the Hotel. Good service, not over the top, very relaxed feel to the place, nice and quiet. Good outdoor heated pool and seating area. Good car parking. Short walk down to the town.
Review 120:It was a lovely small boutique hotel tucked away slightly but easy access to the town, it was everything we needed for a weekend break and will most certainly go back.
Review 121:The hotel is really elegantly decorated and the room was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and left in a very tidy condition every day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty. There was a nice pool area with sun loungers. It was located a short walk away from the main town (5-10mins) which meant that it was very peaceful to sleep at night - no noise at all!
The Fine Print
